Automatic Notification from Usage Decition
Hi PM Exports,
could any one suggest me a method to auto generate PM Notifications based on usage decision?
My client Processes equipment in "Object" tab in a PM Order via QM Inspection Lots. Each equipment has to be check to see whether it pass/fail certain tests. For failed equipments, PM Notificaiton should be generated automatically for the maintenance team to work on. We are trying to map this to two usage decisions - PASS and FAIL .Please provide me a solution if you have worked on something similar.
Cheers
Deepal
Hi Deepal,
In PM you are assigning inspection type to calibration order type in customization. Path is SPRO- PM-- Maintenance and service ProcessingFunctions and setting for order typeAssign inspection type to Order type.
Now you need to assign notification type to that inspection type. Path is SPROQMQuality inspectionInspection CreationMaintain Inspection type. Tick the check box Q notification per Insp. lot.

Receiving an automatic notification from Windows Server when disk space is low
Hello,<o:p></o:p>
Does Windows Server 2012 R2 have any such functionality built-in to enable monitoring of disk space?
We have an old VB Script file that sends me an email when disk space gets low.
Also, the following post discusses the topic regarding Windows Server 2008:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/c9878861-6ba5-4d3b-b6b0-6e4b33c41853/notification-when-low-disk-space?forum=windowsserver2008r2management
I was wondering if there was any change regarding this in
Windows Server 2012 R2 .
Many thanks.<o:p></o:p>

R K HowardHi,
Windows Server 2012 stays the same on that topic, you still need some kind of monitoring on your disk space.
If you don't have a monitoring solution, like for example SCOM, you can for example with powershell do what you earlier did in VB script. Either you have a scheduled task that runs as often as you'd like, or you can utilize something called WMI eventing
to trigger on an event 'disk low' but thats a bit more complicated.
See below examples on some example scripts that you could use.

How to get email notifications from facebook to open in the app and not in interent browser
I receive email notifications from facebook when someone posts to my wall or share something with me and when I click the link to open it, it goes to my internet browser instead of opening the facebook app. How do I fix this so the facebook app open automatically?
I just started a project to use AutoCAD files and Adobe.
For starters, I've been creating in AutoCAD LT 2015, then using the "Export" to PDF feature, then opening the pdf version in Adobe.
I'm still learning, hope this helps. -
Email Notifications from Standalone System
Hey gang...
I am still missing one step which I think is a very simple one. My workflows are being kicked off and populating just fine in the Workflow monitor, however, no emails are being generated. I have read several other postings that reference the Oracle Applications Manager, but since I am operating Workflow standalone, I do not believe I have this option.
We are running on Oracle 9i.
We have an SMTP server running but I am not sure that the Workflow is seeing it (the SMTP server was setup AFTER Workflow was installed). I have tried to feed an OpenConnection command within my database trigger to create the connection to the SMTP server (which I think is working...this is a shared SMTP and the other system is getting emails just fine) yet still no emails are going through for me.
I have written a procedure to populate the WF_LOCAL_USER table each time a new user is created in my custom app, and ensure that the correct email address is populated on that table.
I have read that the Notification Mailer is installed and defaulted when Workflow is loaded, yet I am not sure if the SMTP setting needs to be included somewhere in there, rather than having me feed it via script command. All of the documentation I have read kinda glances over this, leading me to believe that it is a one-time, relatively automatic function (that perhaps I somehow messed up).
I have until weeks end to get these emails firing so any suggestions or help on this matter would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!
Thanks alot!!!!!!
( I apologize if this questions has been answered on a prior thread which I overlooked. If you could point me in the direction of that thread, I would appreciate it!!!!)

user527937Hi,
I also use Oracle Workflow Standalone.
Can you navigate to Oracle Workflow Manager?
You can do this by using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
If you can make sure SMTP server is working right, than can you make sure that the Notification Mailer service is run. It is required if you would like to get the notification from email, otherwise it only available in Oracle Workflow Homepage - Worklist section.
You can check it in Workflow Manager.

AUTOMATE NOTIFICATION OF THE STATUS OF THE INTEGRATION PROFILE
we have the oracle directory integration and provisioning server administration in OIM 10.1.4.2.0
use the GUI
from the connect group management
select our sync group adimp1;
select connect connect name ADActiveChgImp to open the integration profile;
select the status tabIt shows either synchronization succesfull or failure.
We want to automate the notification of the failure of the integration profile.
I know the ODI captured the info in the Windows server $ORACLE_HOME/ldap/odi/log, but we do not want to
develop the script/job to accomplish the automation.
Question, in the OID database there may be a table or a view has the status info in. which one does
have that info?
we can utilize that info in the table/view to accomplish the automatic notification.Hello,
There is no built-in feature in OneNote would be able to provide a notification alert when a notebook is modified.
For a desktop version of OneNote, we can see what changes have been made by your collaborators by checking the version control feature called Page Versions, find it from the History tab.
In addition, you can send your suggestion to our product team. You can submit the feedback by clicking on the dots on the top right or on the right bottom.
You can also post in the
OneNote forum on Microsoft Answers for further assistance.

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office
programs. -
Symptom:
Some clients might fail to automatically configure user device affinity from usage data if you have manually configured user device affinity before.
When you check the UserAffinity.log, you can find the similar error messages as below:
User 'XXXXX\XXXXX' has xxxxx usage minutes UserAffinity
Setting auto affinity for user 'XXXXX\XXXXX'. UserAffinity
Found same state message existing. (was sent before) Skip sending same state message for user 'XXXXX\XXXXX'.. UserAffinity
Figure 1. Error Message in UserAffinity.log
Cause:
As the log said, there is a user affinity state message existing in WMI which prevents client from sending new user affinity state message.
Resolution:
We can delete the user affinity state message in WMI to force the client to resend the user affinity state message.
We can follow the steps below:
1. Run Windows Management Instrumentation Tester (“Wbemtest”).
2. In Windows Management Instrumentation Tester dialog box, click “Connect”.(Figure 2)
Figure 2.
3. Type “root\ccm\statemsg” under the Namespace table and then click “Connect”.(Figure 3)
Figure 3.
4. Click “Enum Classes”. (Figure 4)
Figure 4.
5. Choose “Recursive”
in Superclass Info dialog box.(Figure 5)
Figure 5.
6. Double-click “CCM_StateMsg” in Query Result dialog box.(Figure 6)
Figure 6.
7. Click “Instances”
in Object editor for CCM_StateMsg dialog box. (Figure 7)
Figure 7.
8. Choose the messages that contain "domain/user_Auto" and click “Delete” in the Query Result dialog box.(Figure 8)
Figure 8.
After you delete user affinity state message in WMI, the user affinity state message for the user will be resent. After a period time, we can check the UserAffinity.log to
see if the user affinity state message has been successfully sent. The related information would be similar as below:
Successfully sent user affinity state message for user 'xxxxx\xxxxx'.
Successfully created pending user affinity for user 'xxxxx\xxxxx' into WMI.

Please click to vote if the post helps you. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.I'm not sure whether this is the appropriate place to add this but - a (possible) cause that I have seen which is not mentioned above is a request for an AAAA record (IPv6 address)
being responded to with an A record (IPv4 address).
DNS debug logging (Windows 2008 R2 SP1) captured requests to
192.225.156.200 and the corresponding responses. In each case the response was followed in the debug log by the event “The DNS server encountered an invalid domain name
in a packet from 192.225.156.200. The packet will be rejected. The event data contains the DNS packet.”
The domain name in the response was the same as that in the query, and looks OK.
The logged query shows an AAAA record (IPv6 address) request and the logged response returned an A record (IPv4 address).
http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc4074.txt “Common
Misbehavior Against DNS Queries for IPv6 Addresses” says, under “Expected Behavior”:
Suppose that an authoritative server has an A RR but has no AAAA RR
for a host name. Then, the server should return a response to a
query for an AAAA RR of the name with the response code (RCODE) being
0 (indicating no error) and with an empty answer section (see
Sections 4.3.2 and 6.2.4 of [1]). Such a response indicates that
there is at least one RR of a different type than AAAA for the
queried name, and the stub resolver can then look for A RRs. -

Automatic notification for Timesheet due date in ESS
Hi,
Is there any configuration available to implement in automatic notification to users ESS CATS Timesheet
saying that your timesheet submission is due.
The notification should go a day before the due date and only to users who has not submitted their timesheet yet.
How can we achieve this?
I have checked BADI HRESS_CATS_CAL_DISPLAY.
But it is not helping us as it gets triggered only when timesheet application is launched from Portal.
Please suggest.
Best Regards
Arindamyou need to develop custom report and schedule in background job for this to send remainders.
In your custom report use the below tables based on your requirement to identify how many employees are submitted and not submitted the time sheets and send the notifications.
CATSCO Cross-Application Time Sheet
CATSDB CATS- Database Table for Time Sheet (What you see in CADO is the view of table CATSDB)
CATSHR Cross-Application Time Sheet (CATS) Transfer to HR
CATSPS Cross-Application Time Sheet (CATS)- Transfer to PS
PTEX2000 - CATS transfer table/interface table to IT 2001/2002 (attendances/Absenses)

Auto-update Notification from a PM Work Order?
Hi,
Is there a way of automatically updating info on a Notification from a PM Work Order? For example, the operator who creates a Notification puts in a wrong functional location and this is carried over to the Work Order that is created from the notification. While, the work is being executed, the Work Order processor will change the Func. Location to indicate the right one. But this does not reflect on the Notification. I am sure this is not config. Is there any bapi that I can use? Please advise.
Regards,
ArunThese are some related Function Modules:
IQS0_CHANGE_NOTIFICATION
ALM_ME_NOTIFICATION_CHANGE
BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_DATA_MODIFY
ALM_PM_MAINTNOT_MODIFY_DATA
You may consult your ABAPer to identify and use to suit to your needs.
Logic will be the code will match the F/Locn in Order and Notification everytime the Order is updated and use the above FM to update the Notification. Obviously you need to use this logic in a User-exit possibly IWO10009.

How are deliveries automatically created from scheduling agreement?
How are deliveries automatically created from the schedule line of the scheduling agreement? Can anybody explain this step by step? Can we use the code VL10BATCH for this purpose? If we can, how is this code used?
Thanks in advance.hi
A customer scheduling agreement is an outline agreement with the customer containing delivery quantities and dates. These are then entered as schedule lines in a delivery schedule. You can either create schedule lines when you create the scheduling agreement or you can create them later.
You fulfill a scheduling agreement by creating the deliveries in the schedule as they become due. You process deliveries for a scheduling agreement in exactly the same way as you process a normal delivery. After you have carried out the delivery, the system updates the Delivered quantity field in the scheduling agreement item with the delivery quantity.
The scheduling agreement is used as a basis for delivering a material. The customer sends in scheduling agreement releases, referred to as delivery schedules, at regular intervals to release a quantity of the material.
Document Types
To configure document types for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Sales Document Header -> Define sales document types in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
The R/3 System contains the following document types for component suppliers:
LZ - Scheduling agreement with delivery schedules (no external agents)
LZM - Scheduling agreement with delivery orders
LK - Scheduling agreement with delivery schedules (external agents)
ED - Delivery by external agent (consignment issue)
EDKO - External agent correction
RZ - Scheduling agreement returns (no external agents)
KAZU - Consignment pick-up for external agents
KRZU - Consignment returns for external agents
Item Categories
To configure item categories for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Sales Document Item -> Define item categories in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
The system determines the following item categories for the related document types in
documents containing materials with item category group NORM:
Item category LZN for scheduling agreement type LZ
Item category LZMA for scheduling agreement type LZM
Item category LKN for scheduling agreement type LK
Item category KEN for document type ED
Item category EDK for positive corrections (or the manual alternative EDK1 for
negative corrections) for document type EDKO
Item category REN for document type RZ
Item category KAN for document type KAZU
Item category KRN for document type KRZU
Schedule Line Categories
To configure schedule line categories for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Schedule lines -> Define or Assign schedule line categories in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
The R/3 System contains the following schedule line categories for component suppliers:
L1, BN, L2, and CN for item category LZN
E4, E0, E5, and BN for item category LKN
L2 for item category LZMA (standard for delivery order processing)
Schedule Line Types
To configure schedule line types for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Scheduling Agreements with Delivery Schedules -> Define schedule line types in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
Creating Scheduling Agreements
To create a scheduling agreement with delivery schedules:
1. In the Sales menu http://Ext. choose Scheduling agreement ->Create.
2. Enter scheduling agreement type LK (standard) or LZ (external agents) and the
relevantorganizational data.
3. Choose ENTER.
4. Enter the following data:
Sold-to or ship-to party number
Purchase order or closing number
Material or customer material number
You can use the Description field to identify the scheduling agreement. For
example,
you could enter the model year for a particular production series.
The system allows up to 35 digits for a customer material number.
Rounding quantity
Usage
Choose Goto -> Header -> Sales to enter the usage at header level, or Goto ->
Item-> Sales A to enter it at item level. The system proposes usage S, for series, as default in both cases.
Planning indicator
Choose Goto -> Header ->Sales.
Target quantity
Mark an item and choose Goto -> Item -> Sales A
Partners
For scheduling agreements with external agents , choose Goto -> Header
->Partners to enter the external agent as forwarding agent and special stock partner
on the partner function screen.
5. Create a delivery schedule
Mark an item in the scheduling agreement and choose Goto -> Item -> <Delivery
schedule>. Enter:
A delivery schedule number and date
The cumulative quantity received by the customer
The last delivery confirmed by the customer
A schedule line with date, time, and quantity
To enter additional data in the delivery schedule, choose DlvSch.Hdr (delivery schedule header).
configuration:
img->SD->Sales->sales document->scheduling agreements with delivery schedules->
step1: define schedule line types
schedule line types are not schedule line categories. Schedule line types are used for information purpose only.
stds are 1. fixed date 2. backlog 3. immediate requirement
4. estimate
step2: maintain planning delivery sched. instruct/splitting rules
The planning delivery schedule is an internal delivery schedule used to plan requirement s more efficiently. It is sub divided into 3 parts
2.1 delivery schedule splitting rules

TA RSPCM "Automatic Notification"
Hi,
I have configured the Automatic Notification of my Process Chains in TA RSPCM. I have added one step to send me alerts ONLY in case of errors. But instead I do get an email every 30mins from RSPCM although my Process Chain only runs every 4hours (I also do get this alert when all loads are successfull). I am assuming that another Process Chain is also using the alert mechanism. I already went through all of my Process Chains (through RSPC) and searched manually for any Step inside the Process Chain that have a Message configured.
Does anyone of you know how I can figure out which Process Chain sends me this email?
Thank you
kind regards
NesimiHi,
I hope you have selected the options in the Trans options tab with
"Always" Confirm send status
"Only If Errors Occur" Also put confirmed send status in inbox
Hope this helps

We have a new MacBook Pro with Mavericks. The mail is automatically downloading from our Earthlink POP account even though the account is set to "manual."
Is there another way to stop Mail from automatically downloading? Is there another setting in Notifications or some other place I'm missing?
(We'd rather check for spam and delete online where we can just check off boxes and hit delete than download and then have to look at each message to delete.)
Many thanks! You can put an account into Offline mode by clicking on the account and selecting " Take "EarthLink" Offline"

Automatic Notifications when a workflow is deferred or timed out
We are using about 10 workflows (7 Oracle Standard, 3 custom workflows) in Oracle Financials and would like to receive automatic notifications when any of the workflow is deferred or timed out.. Is there a setup to receive automatic notifications/emails when a workflow is deferred/timed out??
The reason for this is, we recently had a database crash. After we recovered from the crash, all the Oracle Delivered Workflows restarted after running Workflow background process with following parameters:
Item Type: null
Min Threshold: null
Max Threshold: null
Deferred: Yes
Timed out: Yes
Stuck: No.
The 3 Custom Workflows didn't start after running workflow background process with above parameters. We realized that after 2 days and had to run Workflow Background process for those three workflows seperately using below parameters:
Item Type: Custom Workflow1/Custom Workflow2/Custom Workflow3
Min Threshold: null
Max Threshold: null
Deferred: Yes
Timed out: Yes
Stuck: No.
Just wondering if there is a way to setup notifications if a workflow is deferred or timed out.
Thanks and Regards.geissler,

Problem in Automatic forwarding from sbwp into outlook
Hi,
We are using the stanard workflow for training approval (WS01200151). Here there is a task which sends notification after approval from manager into the employees SBWP. We have enabled the automatic forwarding from SBWP but inspite of that it is not queueing into SCOT and hence not going into the users inbox.
We have created a custom task which sends email cancellation notification to the manager after employee has cancelled his booking. This is getting queued in SCOT and moving into the manager's outlook.
Can anyon please help???
Thanks and Regards,
PinkiHi Pinki,
Who are you sending the mail to? Is it an SAP user?
Does the user receive the mail in their SBWP?
Is the problem only that the mail is not bbeing forwarded to their outlook/lotus notes?
Is the autoforwarding active in SO12 and if you send a mail to the SAP user via SBWP is it then forwarded to their email address?
Regards,
Eddie
