Automatic Task list assignment

Hi,
I have a requirement where during the time of selecting a request type in the Service notification the task list should be automatically assigned.
Say for example if during the service Notidfication creation if I select a Request type:"Remove tank" the task list related to the removel of tank is assigned automatically to the notification so that you do not need to have to manually assign it. Again if the request type of the same notification is changed in future then the task list should change to the next request type.
Another point:Is there a way to assign the task list automatically if the status in the status profile changes. Actually we are using the notification concept in place of the workflow where the notification travels through various departments and the individuals team peform their work accordingly and change the request type to transfer it to the next department. We wanted to have a task list associated with every request type which changes as the notification is assigned to various departments

[QM] How to create an inspection lot with task list assigned?

Hello, everyone.
I know, the similar questions have been asked plenty of times, but I am still unable to find a suitable receipe of the inspection lot creation. My goal is to create an inspection lot programmatically and be able to record its results using, e.g., BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS.
Creating a lot does not appear to be a big problem. I just call the following FMs:
QPL1_INITIALIZE
QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE
QPL1_UPDATE_MEMORY
QPL1_INSPECTION_LOTS_POSTING
BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
As a result, I have a new shiny inspectin lot, but it comes with statuses "CRTD" and "CHCR". I do specify PLNAL and PLNNR fields values for the QALS structure which is passed to QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE, but that does not seem to have any effect. When I call BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS later (result values and inspection points come from another lot which is used as a template), it reports of beging unable to find characteristics for the inspection operations (error E026).
Does anyone know which of the QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE parameters affect task list assignment besides PLNAL and PLNR? Or maybe there is a special FM which associates a task list with an inspection lot?

Hi Samuel,
You can get create an Agent as a Task by using the following steps:
1. Go to Customizing --> EHS --> Industrial Hygiene & safety --> Risk Assessment --> Specify Agent Types
2. Click on "TASK' Agent type and click on Details icon (CtrlShiftF2)
3. In the "Only EHS-IHS" drop down, Select "No"
4. Save the entry
5. Now try creating an Agent [CBIH92] and you can create an Agent as a Task.

yes, u r right we need to use this user exit IWO10021-Task list transfer from notification to order and when we create notification , after updating mandatory data when we click creae order button it will show all task list related to that technical object....plz tell AM I RIGHT???
if yes, problem i am facing is for some technical onjects it is working and for some it is not, plz guide wat may be reason for the same??

Automatic task list delete selection when UD is reject

Dear Experts,
I created calibration plan for Quality Istruments, for that assign equipment task list . At due date calibration order & inspection lot created. I sent the insturment to vender & some time it will be rejected fr vender side .We want to set delete selection automatically in task list header data when I made usage dicision as a rejected after come in factory.

Iam not sure ,just check with abaper whether it is possible with creating new function module.Try to create a Function module and assign the same in IMG for inspection lot completion for follow up action for usage decision and assign the same in the selected set

Automatic Tasks are assigning to the user even the Vacation rule Enabled

Hi Experts,
I have enabled a Vacation rule in bpm/workspace.
But I can see all the tasks assigned in the inbox for that user.
Then I have enabled the Customized rule as the vacation rule and tried to reassign the tasks to an another user.
That is also not happening. Tasks are assigning to the other user.
Our ECM version is 11.1.1.6.0
Went through all the documentations and couldn't find the solution..

do you mean the instances that were previously assigned to the user are still there in the user's queue?
Vacation rules let you reassign or delegate tasks assigned to a user once the vacation period begins. If work items are already in their queue before the vacation rule goes into effect, they remain in the person's queue. It's up to the user to reassign or delegate the existing work item instances that were already in their queue.
New instances that arrive once the rule goes into effect however, should be automatically reassigned (or delegated depending on the vacation rule's radio button selected) to the other person.

In inspection lot..task list does not fetch

when i do UD for fish material. with QA32....in QA32 showing inspection lot no..but when i select line item of inspection lot and click on inspection lot..one window open..when i go inspection specification for task list..when i click on task list....show the massage....
but i all ready created inspection plan from QP01...i have over ther MIC and sampling procedure also

Dear,
Is this quality Plan is back dated and Lot size should be 1 to 9999,999.
Why are you creating rate routing? check lot for 04 insp type in QA02.
Or for old material just create one new order and test it once again.
You can check the statuses in config.
QM>Quality Planning>Inspection Planning>General>Define Task List Status.
You should find that "4" is in there with all the check marks on.
QM--> Quality Inspection --> Inspection Lot Creation --> Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection Types.
There is a column called status. For each inspection ORIGIN, you can specify the status of the inspection plan. It appears someone in your system changed the 4's to an X and then created the status "X".

Image Capture - Automatic Task

I wanted to put an applescript to post process images downloaded from my digital camera. I tried putting the applescript file in the following directories:
/Library/Scripts/Applications/Image Capture/
/Library/Workflows/Applications/Image Capture/
/System/Library/Image Capture/Automatic Tasks/
And restarting Image Capture and restarting computer and nothing shows up in the Automatic Task list. I tried selecting Other... but Automater or Applescripts are unselectable.
Any ideas?

That's helpful, but doesn't provide a way to get the automatic task that Image Capture offered in 10.5. A folder action is not nearly as good, because typically one downloads multiple items off a camera, and you want the automatic task to run after this completes. I believe a folder action is triggered when the first item is added.
(You can add a kluge to the folder action script to wait for some amount of time, but that is a poor way of doing things, since you don't know the right amount of time; too short and you miss items; too long and the items aren't adjusted before you want to play with them.)
I'm puzzled why Apple would take away such a handy feature.

"Send e-mail when ownership is assigned" SharePoint 2013 task list

I've found that the option to "Send e-mail when ownership is assigned" isn't available in SharePoint 2013 (enterprise) task lists. I've found that this functionality is now included the 'issue tracking' list template.
I'm unsure why this very useful feature has been removed from the task list template. I’ve tried adding the task content type to an issue list; this works fine and the notification is sent. However, the new ‘task aggregation’ feature
in mysite only picks up items in an task list, so those items stored in issue lists get ignored. Fairly frustrating.
I wonder whether anyone from MS can fill me in on when this feature has been removed?

Inspection task list usage is not picking automatically?

Hi all,
whenever I create inspection lot for source inspection (for PO) through Qi07, in the inspection lot, task usage assigned as a 6(goods issue), but i will assign 3 (universal) later on for the source inspection ( with respect to PO)in qa32 & later on i will proceed. But i want the system to assign the 3 (task list usage) automatically for all the inspection lots, how to enable the same?

In the SPRO setting for inspection type, you can assign default usage. I am not having system access right now, so cant give you exact path. But approx. QCC0--insp lot creation-maintain insp type/default values for inspection type.
Try if this solves your issue.

Extras --> Task list selection --> Direct entry
To add automatically check User Exit

Create a SharePoint Designer Workflow and use "pause until date" option when an new item is created/update.
Using Server Object model, I believe you can create the timer job from item event receiver.

HOW CAN WE ASSIGN THREE TASK LIST TO THREE DIFF PRODUCTION ORDER

we have one material which is used for three places FIRST IN MILL1, 2ND IN MILL2 AND THIRD IN TRIMMER MILL.
the only thing which differentiate this single material is the production order. we have 3 different production order but one single material. for this we have created 3task list. my problem is when we create batch and confirm it through co15, the lot reflects in QA32. but is not allowing for USAGE DECESION. For that we have to go to QA02, assign the task list and then again go to QA32 and do the usage decesion. is there any method by which we can assign three task list to three production orders so that qa02 step could be avoid.

My Tasks View in my custom task list fails to display the tasks assigned to me (that is the currently logged in user)

I am new to sharepoint 2010.
I created a custom task list, where I have many tasks assigned to users (I had tasks assigned to me as well). I created a view as "My tasks "and having a filter as Assigned To is equal to [Me]. When I do that my view fails to show the
tasks assigned to me. This happens same with the Sharepoints 'My Tasks' view as well. I tested by creating some test tasks under my name and when I selected 'My Tasks' view no tasks are getting displayed.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to display the tasks assigned the current logged in user.
In my environment, if I used the System Account, My Task view didn’t display any tasks.
However , if I used other users except the System Account, My Task view could display current user tasks correctly.
I recommend to use other accounts except System Account to log in site. Then everything will work well.

Assign Task is assigned to a specific user but the she can not see it in her ToDo list

Hello,
I am currently working on the first process (after upgraded it to LC ES 2 with SP2) and try to test by routing it to the next person but the user could not see it in her ToDo list nor receive any Task email.
I checked for the process in the AdminUI and see that it is currently assign to that user and also check the email configuration but do not see any thing wrong. I also recorded it and see it is assign to that person. I then try to re-assign it to a different person but it still does not show in the next person's ToDo list. So I go to the log file and see there is an error as below:

It sounds like you have not selected anything on the Presentation & Data tab of the Workspace Startpoint/User Service.
You need to specify:
Your Asset (the form you want to present to the user)
An associated Action Profile (tells the server how you want the form rendered...typically it is set to Default which uses the Render PDF Form process)
The variable to hold your data(typically an xml variable)
Make sure these are set.
