For a very simple balance sheet just listing the balance sheet accounts and their balances for a fiscal year run t-code S_ALR_87012277. Remember to choose from the dynamic selection, Balance sheet account type = X (yes). This report will not have any grouping of accounts to various categories such as Fixed asset, current assets etc.
For a more refined balance sheet, create a Financial statement version from IMG and then use that FS version to run the report S_ALR_87012284.

    Thanks Dhana.
But the option which u have provided will give me balance sheet in different formats or structure.
Let me tell u wht is exact scenario.
Client has   -  5 SBU ( Strategic Business Units). They maintain separate COA for each SBU.
In B one we r maintaining single COA for all SBU.
As far as all reports r concerned we r getting all of them  with help of dimensions since we have treated all sbu as our profit centers.
we r getting Profit/Loss and Trial Balance SBU wise when we select dimension in P/L or TB template.
In the similar manner is their any option available to get B/S on basis of Dimension  ???
or i have to SDK tool and modigy some queries to achieve it  ????

  • Using XBRL to Submit Balance Sheet

    Hi guys,
I really need your help on the XBRL topic. We need to implement XBRL reporting in order to submit Balance Sheet to the tax authorities and we not getting much help (actually not getting help at all) from our SAP consultants.
I have done some reasearch on possible SAP tools that can be used to generate XBRL file and send it to the tax authorities.
One is the function called FIN_ACC_XBRL, which is available in ECC 6 and another Disclosure Management?
Could you please explain me the difference as from my understanding they are both doing the same thing.
Thank you very much in advvance

  • Balance sheet format

    Hello,
From where we get the Balance sheet format that we require at the time of auditting?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
You can create your FSV - financial statement version - (official financial report) in OB58 transaction. There is no standard format; your accountant should define it for himself.

  • Different Format in Title Accounts in Balance Sheet PLD

I am trying to change the default Balance Sheet PLD of the Financial Reports. I want to applied a differente font (or just the same font but bold). The Balance Sheet PLD just uses variables and i dont know how to relate to the OACT table to know if a title or active account to use in a condition

    Hi Hector Santos,
It is not possible in default Balance Sheet PLD of the Financial Reports.
because Default Balance Sheet PLD used variables.
IF you want any other solution for this,
    Try the below steps,
->> Open the Balance Sheet(System) PLD and Save as New PLD.
->> OPen the New Balance Sheet PLD.
->> Click ALT+ select the Table(OACT) on Properties Widnow.

  • Financial Reporting in BI. Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss

    Hello Gurus,
    Background
I have a problem in finacial reports esp. Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports. When SAP ERP implemented, they have designed the FSV according to the country accounting and business requirements for external reporting. But the regional financial office in the UK requires a different way of reporting esp. the break up of costs in P&L.
As a solution they, non BI and Management have suggsted to design these reports Balance Sheet and P&L in BI and change the design as per the requirement for UK office. i.e For P&L combine FI and CCA queries.
    Problem
My problem is, the queries are designed as GL Account Heirarchies and that are static. So for any GL I need to open the Query (FI) and add the GL into the specific group and any new Cost Center I need to open CCA Query and update Cost Center and Cost Elements manually. After adding the GL I need to reconcile both reports...etc It takes half day or full day sometimes to reconcile the reports.
P&L Report is designed as a workbook having three sheets. This workbook has two queris , FI and CCA. Both of them static heirarchy (user defined). So GL Grouping is maintained manually. The third sheet, has the layout and formula to fetch the values from the other two sheets.
Also Balance sheet workbook is having two sheets. The query is having 0GL_Account heirarchy. So when a new GL is added, I need to change the formulas on the other sheet which displays the Balance Sheet in the required format.
    My questions
What is the best practice for month end / year end financial reports?
How you have designed the P&L and Balance sheet in BI?
    Do you maintain GLs manually?
How can I re-design this reports so that I need not spend a signle minute of them on every month end / year end.
    Regards
    MultiABAP

To be honnest, I didn't fully understand your case, but I got the general logic.
I would say that you first need to harmonize your data and apply to them the group business rules before doing your reporting. This can be done by different ways. The best one according to me is to define a consolidation chart of accounts (based on the group policy) and mapp these accounts to the operational accounts automatically using BI transformations. Then you'll be able to define your reportings based on this harmonized referential.

  • How to export an alternative balance sheet ?

I want to create an alternative balance sheet for reporting purpose, which is easy, but how to export the result in an excel sheet for uploading in an other system ?
    Thanks for all ideas
    and happy new year !

POI has, however, a programming interface. Relying on the file format alone, you are reinventing the wheel.
In a production environment I use the comma-separated-value file format to "mock" Excel files and this works.
    Good luck anyway!

  • Balance sheet customization

    Hi Frnds..
I can see the balance sheet(for India) using F.01 transaction. But my client is not satisified with the format given by us.  She needs it in a format where it shows expenses on one side & income on other side as a typical sheet that they used to do manually.
Can you tell me where I can customize the format w.r.t client.
It's urgent. Will be rewarded immediatly.
    Thanks in advance,
    chaitanya

Unfortunately you don't have any standard report.
You have to use FSI4 nad FSI1 to create form and report. However it wil come only in Vertical format and not in Horizontal form.
    REward if useful.

  • Balance Sheet/Income Statement Report using SSRS

I am trying to create a balance sheet, income statement report using ssrs. Due to lack of experience, I am seeking some help from someone who has already built one. For the report I am trying to built, the data isn’t readily available
in a master/detail format. I need to connect to an Oracle DB, run one or more stored procedures (in Oracle) to put data in a temporary/run-time table (reporting table) and read that data to create the financial statement.
Any help or guidance would really be appreciated.

    Hi Khaga,
Adding to Vishal's reply, before we can connect an Oracle data source, the system administrator must have installed the version of the .NET Data Provider for Oracle that supports retrieving data from the Oracle database. This data provider must be installed
on the same computer as Report Builder and also on the report server. To retrieve data from an Oracle database, we can use Oracle or OLE DB data source type. For more details about the connection string, please see the following document:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-IN/library/dd220591.aspx
Besides, we can refer to the following SSRS tutorial about create a basic report in Reporting Service:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-IN/library/ms167305.aspx
    Hope this helps.

  • P&L A/c and Balance Sheet according Schedule VI in PCA

    Dear SAP Gurus,
My cleint needs to see his P&L A/c and Balance Sheet according Schedule VI in Profit Center Accounting. Because all Branches are Profit Centers. So he need to see his Branches P&L and BS by Schedule VI.
How can I acheive this in Profit Center Accounting.
    Kindly assist me reg this....
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Balaji Bhonsle

    Hi Balaji bhau
You can copy your schedule VI financial statement version (FSV) from FI to PCA using KE5B
I hope you would be having FSV in your FI... Once you copy this, you can view your balances in schedule VI formats using EC-PCA reports
If you are on ECC 6.0 and use New GL - then you can use reports in FGI3 or prepare your own report painter reports using LIbrary 0FL

  • PCA for Full Balance Sheet Accounting

    Dear SAP Guru,
We're currently in 4.7. We've implemented PCA for Profit and Loss Accounting. There's business requirement to produce Full Balance Sheet Accounting in PCA, i.e. the one similar to Business Area. Can the standard PCA module (in 4.7) support Full Balance Sheet Accounting? If can, what are the settings and steps that need to be configured in the system? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Hello,
you can get the full balance sheet from PCA.
    The steps are:
    1. You must make sure that you have completed financial statement version (OB58).
    2. Copy this account groups to PCA. (Please check the paths to copy the FSV to your PCA.
    3. See the available reports in KE80. One of the report must suit your requirement.
    4. If they are not suitable to your requirement, create your own balance sheet format (using form and report) - Report painter.
    Hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • Consolidated Profit and Loss , Balance Sheet

Our client has been requesting for Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss, which consolidates accounts across multiple SAP companies.
If I understand correctly, the only way to pull the data is through journal entries, OJDT and JDT1.
This seems to be very cumbersome especially just imagine as time passes, the database is growing.  It will be good if SAP could have a table that actually summaries the balance (balance sheet) and net movement (Profit and Loss) of each accounts by year by period.
    Eg:
Year    Month   Accounts        Formatted Acc   Parent Acc    Type     Balance
    2007    Jan       _SYS000012   1100-00             1100             Asset    1000
    2007    Feb      _SYS000012    1100-00             1100            Asset     200
    2007    Jan      _SYS000011     8888-00             8800           Expense  20
What is the chances of this improvement?

    Hello,
    thank you for your input.
We are planning enhancements for Financial Statements including new user templates and new print layouts. The idea of consolidating Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet will be investigated as well.
Summarizing balances per year and net forward of each G/L Account year by year should be a part of complete Data Archiving solution planned for one of the next releases. Please check threads on this very important topic.

  • Subtotal to balance sheet

    Hi experts,
How to add subtotal to each group? I do not see any solutions from PLD, can we achieve this through financial report templates>
    E.g.
    Fixed assets at cost
           blah blah blah account      10000
           blah blah blah account      10000
    Subtotal                                    20000
I want it to be displayed when running balance sheet as well as print preview.
    Please advice.

    Hi,
You can achieve this with the help of Financial Report Template & PLD formatting.
Define the desired accounts through the financial report template & specify the formatting through PLD.
This is the general process for adding the subgroups.
    Regards.
    ShriX.
