Batch Determination with SLED Selection Using LOBM_RLZ

Hi All,
I am trying to determine Batches at the time of Goods Issue against Production Order (i.e. Movement Type 261).
These are the steps I have used.
1. Created a Batch Class with Standard Characteristics LOBM_RLZ, LOBM_VFDAT, LOBM_LFDAT.
2. Assigned this class to the Material Master of the Component and marked the material relevant for Batch and SLED.
3. At the time of GR for the component, the Batch is generated with the Expiration Date.
3. Created the Batch Determination Rule using Condition Table ME01 for movement type 261, plant and component.
The Search Criteria is to select a Batch with LOBM_RLZ >=1 day.
4. Now at the time of Batch Determination in CO27 (Picking TCode) the determination is failing. I can check in MB5M there are two batches of the Component available in stock with Remaining Number of shelf life as 2 days and 370 days.
Can anyone suggest what might be missing?

Are you using a separate batch selection class versus the batch class?
There are characteristics that must be in the selection class, but cannot be in the batch class.
See OSS note 33396.
1.  If you want to search for batches on the basis of a remaining shelf
life in batch determination, the system has to calculate a requested
shelf life expiration date dynamically from the information you
         give.
     2.  Add characteristic LOBM_VFDAT to the batch classes.
For the revaluation of reference characteristics, refer to Note
         78235.
Characteristics LOBM_RLZ and LOBM_LFDAT must not be included in the
         batch classes!
     3.  Add characteristics LOBM_VFDAT, LOBM_LFDAT, and LOBM_RLZ to the
         selection classes.
Maintain a remaining shelf life in the strategy records for batch
         determination. Relational operators (> , < , <= , >=) are considered
in the dynamic calculation of the shelf life expiration date in
         batch determination.
From your note you have placed LOBM_RLZ  and LOBM_LFDAT in your batch class.  You cannot do that.

    Hello,
I found documentation that suggest to use Pick parts when using batch determination with WM in transfer orders.  However will/can determination be used with Manually staged components inducator 4?
    Thank you

    Hi!
I am trying to get batched with shelf life larger than 370.
We are in ECC6.0 and the note applies to releases up to 4.5. I read the note and also tried it but the characteristic does not take a range; only a numberic value. For => 370 I get an error. The date for SLED calculated for batch determination (from the batch determination analysis for a test) as shown below:
    Characteristic   Name                           Characteristic value
    LOBM_ZUSTD       Status of Batch                Released
LOBM_LVORM       Deletion Ind. for Batches      Not Set
LOBM_RLZ         Remaining Shelf Life for Batc  370 d
    LOBM_MBDAT       Material Availability Date     07/17/2008
LOBM_LFDAT       Batch Determin. Delivery Date  07/30/2008
LOBM_VFDAT       Expiration date, shelf life    08/04/2009
I wonder if the problem is that the operator does not seem to appear in this criteria for the calculated LOBM_VFDAT?
    Thank you

  • Material determination with Product selection

    Hi SAP Gurus
We are using material determination with product selection. The process is that customer will send in one product in a sales order. At the time of doing ATP we have to look for about three or four possible alternatives and confirm that alternative which has the highest stock level depending on the ATP situation. We have configured material determination with SAP standard substitution reason’0006’ to take care of this. The problem with this is that this creates two line items in sales order as the item substituted is shown as a sub-item of the material entered. We do not want to have two line items in a sales order for this. Is there a way we can do material determination with product selection (Based on ATP) and have the item substituted replace the item entered in a sales order? In other words we do not want to see two line items in a sales order. The substitute item should simply replace the original item and the material entered could be stored in field VBAP-MATWA. I have gone through all the standard SAP documentation which clearly states that in order to material determination based on ATP we have to use outcome A or B both of which create a sub-item.
I was wondering if there is any workaround or if there is any user exit in which we can replace the original item with the substituted item?? Any help or any direction will be highly appreciated.
Another question is if we were to use APO for doing global/Rule based ATP is it possible to get rid of the double line items. We have also tried to use rule based ATP in APO and use product/location substitution in our sandbox system to see if we can get back only one line item. But even in that case we do get a sub item. Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated. You can also send me an e-mail at [email protected]

  • Batch  Determination With out characteristics ..?

    Dear Experts
I have finished the batch determination for the SLED but i had to create characteristics for it refrence to VFDAT field in MCHA table
but I need to knowhow to refer direct to the field with out refering to the characteristics
for example I need to create a batch determination for the creation date of the batch so I want to refer direct to the field ERSDA in table MCHA .. I don't want the user to enter while doing a GR to enter the creation date of the batch in the classification of the batch
If its not possible to do such a thing .. so how can I make the characteristics which will hold the creation date of the batch to get the date in field ERSDA automatic

  • Problem in batch determination with Transfer Order

    Hello,
I want to use SLED batch determination to supply my shop floor from my central warehouse.
I activate the SLED batch determination procedure for WM and I create the search strategy for movement code 319.
When I convert my transfer requirement in transfer order the batch proposed is the first batch number while it's not the first expired.
In my TO if I choose to display the Batch determination, the list is well sort by expired date, and so the first batch of the list is the first expired. So why it is not this batch that is proposed in the batch field of my order ?
    Thanks for your help.
    Laurent.

    Hello,
    thanks for your answers.
I confirm that the removal strategy is H for the storage type 200 (the warehouse where the component come from).
The search strategy seems to be well maintened because when I display the Batch determination in my TO (Environement/Display Batch det.) , I obtained the list of batch sort by expired date. But in the field batch it still the first batch number that is proposed.
What do you mean by "(i.e. storage type, section are choosen according to Whse & Material master indicator and bins do exist)" ?
    Laurent.

  • Batch determination with condition next inspection date is =10

    Hi,
I want to configure the batch determination in such a way that if next inspection date is <=10 then the batch should not consider in the batch determination at the time of creation of process order, only those batchs should conside whose next inspection date is more 10 days.
can anyone suggest ,any solution on this .
    Thanks
    HS

    Hi Shaymal & VRMP
I have checked the system, the only problem I am facing is that the system does not show next inspection date dialog box at the time of UD where I can see the next inspection date being set by the system
Say, I use QA07 (Triggered Manually) on 19.jan.08. The Next inspection date was 26.jan.08 and Initial Run in Days was 10 (days), the system created inspection lot on 19.jan.08 successfully. At the time of UD it automatically set 29.jan.08 as the next inspection date (i.e. 19.jan.08 + 10 days)  istead of 06. Feb.08 (i.e. 26.jan.08 + 10 days) without showing dialog box / suggesting next inspectino date.

  • Automatic batch determination with fixed batch number for production order

    Hello all,
I want to create a production order where the batc number can be assigned for one component as Batch fixed value once the order is released.
1.- I have created the characteristic (CT04) assigned to the table MCHA and field CHARG (Batch number) and one value: LINER.
2.- I have created the class (CL02) and assign to this the characteristic.
3.- I have created the sort ZSORT and the batch (MSC1N).
4.- I have checked the classification in the material and it has assigned correctly the class and characteristic and the MRP2 view has the backflush = 1, batch entry = 3 and the prod. stor. location = COIL.
5.- I have created the strategy (COB1, strategy type CO02) and assigned the selection criteria and sort.
    6.- I have created the order (CO01).
7.- I was releasing the order and the batch number was assigned but, with numbers!! and I need assign this with fixed value = LINER.
Could you help me please? How can I do it?
    Kind regards,

    Hi Vishwas.K
Thank you for your respone, but, doing more researching, let me explain you with more detail:
1.- I am going to the transaction CO02 in order to release the order, but, before it, I am checking the component by Go to > Overviews > Components.
2.- Then, I am selecting my component and making a click in "Batch determ. " button.
3.- The system is showing me many batch numbers and I select the "Selection criteria" button and the system said: "Selection class "LINERBATCH" does not contain any selection criteria". But, it has a characteristic that I have created before.
4.- Then, I select in the new screen "Selection criteria: Origin..." the"create" button.
5.- The system selection my class from the material classification and when I go back to the last screen, finally the system is showing me my batch: LINER.
Do you know why my selection criteria with my selection class is not working in automatic?
Thank you for your time and support.
    Kind regards,

  • Batch handle with 'Auto Select' option

    Hello Everyone!
We are trying to find out how the 'Auto Select' button works with batch handle.
Our customer wants to handle batches by FIFO.
We need to try if it is possible to 'Auto Select' batches by 'Admission Date'. Even when we found out that it is possible SBO does not do it rightly, because not always get well organized by 'Admission Date'.
Somebody knows which logic uses the 'Auto Select' option to select batches?
There is some configuration at SBO to handle batches by 'Admission Date'?
    Thanks a lot!

The batch auto selection selects the batches according to the ascending alphanumeric order. To issue based on FIFO method, user has to identify the admission date/ manufacturing date of the batch and issue.
There is No configuration at SBO to handle batches by 'Admission Date'.
As a workaround you can use the batches to startwith  'Admission Date'.

  • Windows 8.1 having problems with pinter selection using Elements 13.

I am running Windows 8.1 with Elements 13 and am having problems with PRINT. If I select a printer from the PRINTER menu, Elements recognizes the change of selection, allows me to modify the printer's specific setting and, then, when I PRINT seems to not recognize the selected printer and print of whatever was set as the original printer. Then, I delete the "original" printer in Windows 8.1 and attempt to print again with the same general result except I receive a Printer Not Found error from Windows.
How do I modify the "original" printer setting (seems to be associated with the file)? Note the "original" printer is not the default printer.

    Hatstead,
    Thank you.
Yes, all of the print drivers are up to date (re-verified last evening).
Yes, I can print and select the printer as normal for all of the standard applications I use (Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, direct print from file (Explorer)).
I shortened the printer names from the standard Microsoft convention (based on some of the BOG comments). There was no change.  In fact after the test sequence noted in #5, I re-implemented the "name shortening" yet again (shorter yet). I launched Elements and ran into the same messages noted in #5 (obviously, the "stored" printer did not exist). Yet after I went through the printer selection process (again as in #5) and, after a lag time, Elements redirected the print job what was the "stored" printer which was renamed....I do not know how Elements associated the deleted "Stored" printer with its old name with the newly named printer since no other application could (I checked).
I have closed and restarted the PC numerous times.
I have deleted all of the printers except the one I wanted to use for the specific print job. In this case, Elements came back with a message it could not access the "stored" printer. I then selected the correct printer, Elements acted like it was allowing to set up the selected printer with the specifics of the print job, and, then when I went to print, Elements again tried to redirect the print job to the "stored" printer (even though it did not exist).
The target printer is a "local" printer (USB connected). The apparent "Stored" printer is a network printer. So, I deleted the PC which has the "Stored" printer from the network (actually not only deleted it from the devices on my PC but literally shut the PC down and disconnected it from the network (two different test)) to no avail (still got the test results in #5).
Yes, I have attempted to print from the Editor (my normal mode) and from Organizer.
I have copied, open a new file and, then, pasted the image I wanted to print to no avail.
Is the a "stored" printer associated with the file or with Elements? If so, how to I modify (or dis-associate)?
    Again, thank you.

  • Big problem with a select using remote database

    Hi Guy.
I have a big problem with a simple query, but this is a scenario.
Actuallly I'm in Alexandria - Egypt with a server with Oracle 10.2.0.4 database 32 bit on linux Red Hat as 4.8. the server can connect to another database oracle but 9.2.0.6 installed on Red Hat As 4.5 placed in Milano Italy . Ttwo networks are connected via two adsl cisco router with firewall and Vpn functions. In Egypt there isn't a very good adsl.
In Alexandria, I'm trying to connect to database in Italy with sqlplus. The sqlplus connected I write.. select * from addetti and all work fine.
My problem is that when I try to make the same select on a table with many columns oracle database kill me a session.
My table (ic_lav) is long 174 colums 1924 byte for row. Well when I write a query with select * from ic_lav all oracle close my session.
So I began to change my query I start to
select field1 from ic_lav... and work
select field1,field2,field3,..........field50 from ic_lav and work
    select field1,field2,field3,..........field70 from ic_lav and doesn't work
the select work with 68 columns
problem: the query with more then 1064 byte for row doesn't work.
I've tryed with anoter big table with the same problem, but the select fwork with 65 columns...
Iit is obvious that there is any problem with the limit of the query.
The same query (select * from ic_lav) in localMilano)l work fine.
The same query (select * from ic_lav) in vpn with a better adsl line and openvpn software (NO CISCO firewall) WORK FINE.
The same query connectetd in Milano with a vpn make with analogic modem and remote access by windows work fine.
the query (make on my laptop connectet with vpn by cisco doesn't work.
In cisco firewall we haven't any error (cisco man tell me so)

  • Batch determination & ATP

    Folks,
    I have the following scenario:
Some customers accept batch with SLED > 365 days, some customers only accept batches that have SLED > 730 days and some have a variable (60% SLED). We can have this setup in batch determination with the use of selection class and criteria. However, ATP does not take this into account.
    I.e.:
    Stock - 10 PCE's batch A (SLED 01.01.2011) and 10 PCE's batch B (SLED 01.01.2012).
Customer A only accepts batch with SLED > 730 days. Customer orders 20 PCE's and ATP confirms 20 PCE's as there are 20 PCE's on stock.
Delivery creation for 20 PCE's but batch determination only determines batch B and thus only 10 PCE's have a batch (batch B). Batch A does not get determined.
Is there a possibility to have ATP already take the values from the selection class into account during ATP check in the sales order? Does anyone might have an alternative solution?
    MZ

    Hi,
ATP Check based on sertain criteria's which you speciefied in checking rule, there is no any option to check stock as per SLED.
When you create sales order system will display all stock that is 20, not as per the SLED.

  • OPJ2 Stock/Batch determination question

In OPJ2 I have stock determination (based on stock type) active with business operation 3 (stock determination at backflush). I also have Auto batch determination active at the time of backflush (261 movement type)
That means for a material I am doing batch determination and also stock determination both at the time of backflush.
so how does system pick batches? will it first determine the stock type based on the stock determination rule and then go for batch determination strategy in that stock type or will it first go for batch determination and based on the determined batch it will determine the stock type?
In other words, which happens first? batch determination or stock determination?

Based on my testing, I found that system is giving batch determination preference than stock determination if we do them both at once (at the time of backflush). So now the real issue i am facing is
I have a batch manged component that is handled using vendor consignment stock k. we also have the same material in unrestricted use too.
un restricted has 2 batches, batch 1 sled is nov 2011, batch 2 sled is jan 2012
vendor consignment has 2 batches batch 1 sled is dec 2011, batch 2 sled is jan 2012
our requirement is to consume early sled batch from consignment first. That means i need to consume sled dec 2011 batch from consignment first. But as system is giving preference to batch determination first, its selecting sled nov 2011 of unrestricted.
    any suggestions??

  • Automatic Batch Determination is not happening for New Sales Order Type

    Dear Experts,
I have created a new sales order type ZBPY - For Free Sales, but automatic batch detrmination and batch pick up is not happening for new sales order type,  but it is activated for all the other sales order types in Production Server, can any body let me know the steps how to map this new order type to batch management and let it behave like other order types.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Saravanan(EKS).

    Hi Saravanan,
Kindly check the following steps for automatic batch determination.
    1. First check the material is maintained with batch in the warehouse management.
    2. Maintain new entry for search procedure for batch determination with the new created doc type.
    3. Maintain new entry for automatic batch determination for sales order or automatic batch determination for delivery ( This depends on the business process of our client, whether they want to determine the batch with sales order or at the delivery level. check this and make new entry)
    4. Create Batch using T.code MSC1N with proper date of manuf. and SLED.
    5. Create Batch Search Strategy using T.code VCH1 with proper strategy type.
    6. Maintain stock with active batch. check this with t.code LS26 or LS24.
