Batch split not happening during delivery

Hi Experts,
I have enough of stock for a material with different batches (with different expiry dates). When I create an order for qty 100, system confirms it on a certain date taking 1st batch nearest to expiry date, as per the search startegy set in the cponfiguration.Please note here that the batch that system picks has got only 50 qty in stock, but it shows whole 100 qty against it. Probably because Batch split is not possible during sales order creation, hence system showing whole qty against one batch.
Now, when I try to create delivery, it shows only 50 qty of the same batch in delivery document. I select the line item and go to the "Batch split" tab to effect batch split, but system does not allow. It says "Batch already specified for material".Here is the detail for your analysis-
Batch in item 000010 already specified for material 2000978
Message no. VL221
Diagnosis
The batch was either predefined in the sales order that the delivery is based on or it was assigned to the delivery item manually. Therefore, you can no longer carry out a batch split for the delivery quantity of the items.
Procedure
In order to make the batch split possible, you can cancel the assignment of the delivery item to the batch, if the delivery's processing status allows.

Now batch is not being determined during sales order creation, that's fine.While creating delivery,when I select line item and go to Batch split tab I can see batches being split in two, which is OK. But when I try to put Picking quantity as delivery qty, system says "Picked quantity is larger than the qty to be delivered".(Message no. VL019).
Also Storage location field is grayed out.

    I have scenario where material is converted from MT(Metric tons)  to Bag for selling. At delivery level batch determination take place. We dont want batch split to happen at delivery level.
    Qty should be picked up from single batch if not sufficient than it should break the qty & pickup the complete qty from the second batch.
    Eg: 350 bags = 1015.60 mts- 1st batch stock
             50 bags=  75.60 mts- 2nd batch stock
    if the order is of 351 tons that at delivery level it should determined two batches separately & pickup complete from the batch
    pls advice.

    Its a std batch split process.
    as per above in example, if the order qtty is 351 TO, then system will determine 2 batches, if in VCH2, number of splits maintained more than 1.
    What exactly you are expecting?
    *at delivery level it should determined two batches separately & pickup complete from the batch*
    pick up complete from the batch - means what. its incomplete.

  • Automatic Batch Determination Not Happening In Delivery

    Please note that we are using forecast schedule in sch. agreements for delivery and one is supplied to multiple customers so there are multiple scheduling agreements for a single item.
    In this case when we are doing outbound delivery automatic batch dermination is not happening. And if I tried to do batch split in delivery is not working.
    Can u help me in this.

    For Batch Split you need to maintain  Batch split Item Category - CHSP
    Try to maintain Delivery Item category determination IMG u2013-> LE --> Shipping --> Deliveries --> Define Item Category determination in deliveriesu201C as
    LF(Delivery Dcoument Type) --> NORM (item category Group) --> CHSP(Usage) = TAN
    CHSP - Batch split (Maintain it for your delivery document type)
    2. TAN item category has to be activated for Automatic Batch determination
    path IMG --> LG --> Batch Determination and Batch Check --> Batch Search Procedureallocation and Check Activation --> Activate Automatic Batch determination in SD --> Activate Automatic Batch determination for sales order items
    Activate indicators for TAN item category (Maintain it for your Item Category)
    3. Allocate automatic Serach procedure/ Activate check
    path IMG --> LG --> Batch Determination and Batch Check --> Activate Automatic Batch determination in SD --> Activate Automatic Batch determination for Delivery item categories
    Enter your sales area + sales document type +search procedure + Activate u201CCheck Batchu201D indicatoru201D

  • No Single batch split item created in delivery during picking

    Hello,
    When there is only one batch split item, SD_DELIVERY_UPDATE_PICKING is not creating batch split item (90001) if delivery quantity is equal or less than picking quantity...I didi search for SAP Note (1360407) and found one which is applicable only to P3A Component.
    Instead of batch split it updates at item level itself. Now if again i post an IDOC with 2 batch split, then it adds both picking quantity and update the same line item itself.
    This is much worse. Any one faced this issue before???

    When the batch is the same, regardless of the number of times the same batch is picked, the update to the delivery will be to the same header line item. The batch split (delivery line split with parent and child line items) will occur only when there are multiple batches picked against the same header line item. Since this behavior is standard SAP I'm doubtful that this can be changed via an exit or BADI (I couldn't find one to influcence this).

  • Document splitting not happening in New G/L

    I have done all the below settings for document splitting.But still document splitting is not happening for vendor.For example,I am posting  the following entry.
    Using FB60 Tcode
    Cr Vendor 100
    Dr G/L       60   (cost center 1)&(Profit center 1)
    Dr G/L       40   (cost center 2)&(profit center 2)
    when simulating I am expecting vendor entry also to be split and shown as
    Cr Vendor 60  (profit center 1)
    cr vendor  40 (profit center  2)
    Dr   G/L    60
    Dr   G/L   40.
    But it is not spliiting Vendor.It is showing vendor as 100 but splitting the 60&40  to the ZERO balance clearing account( as configured in  ZERO balance clearing account step.)
    why is vendor split not happening/Is there any thing I am missing?
    Config steps done are as below.
    The Steps to follow are:
    1. Classify G/L Accounts for Document Splitting
    2. Classify Document Types for Document Splitting
    3. Define Zero-Balance Clearing Account 4. Define Document Splitting Characteristics for General Ledger Accounting

    1.Financial accounting(new)>G/L accounting (new)>Business transaction>Document splitting>classify G/L Accounts  for document splitting>>
    I have classified G/L Expenses accounts which I am using under tcode FB60(for simulation of document splitting) with category as 20000 u2013expense.Also I have given Vendor reconciliation account under category 01000-balance sheet account?
    Please clarify how the G/L accounts classified here?

    Many standard documents are defined.But I thought since I am using FB60 tcode it used doc type KR so mentioned mentioned transaction  as 0300 and variant as 0001 -Vendor invoice

    Here standard system has  account key 000(standard account for ZERO balance) with PK40/50  and G/L account for my chart of accounts is mentioned.

    Here I have mentioned Profit center field (ZERO balance ticked)&mandatory field ticked.no other fields defined.

    Here I have added my controlling area and left profit center field as blank.
    Please check above settings and suggest me if I am missing any thing?All I am trying to do is post a simple test entry using FB60 and show the document splitting  based on just profit center.

    i have a question regarding the number of batch splits allowed in replenishment delivery. Currently , I can only post  250 batches in replenishment delivery.
    Is it possible to increase this number?

    The limit can be customized in Batch Search Strategy Type under following SPRO path:
    IMG -> Logistics - General -> Batch Management -> Batch Determination and Batch Check -> Strategy Types -> Define Inventory Management Strategy Types
    Check setting No. of splits.

  • Output determination does not happen during Sales Document creation

    Hello All,
    I am facing an issue where the automatic output determination does not happen when the Sales Order is created. Let me explain a bit on the background.
    Output type ZDL2 has been defined as a special function (TNAPR-NACHA = 8) attached to a custom program and Form routine to create Outbound delivery after successful posting of the sales order.
    Condition records are maintained to trigger this output for the Key Combination of Sales Org/Distrib Channel/Division/Route. Access sequence has also been correctly maintained for the above fields.
    When the Sales order is saved, the output is supposed to be triggered but out of several sales orders created, it triggered for just one document. We have no clues on what could be the issue.
    One question here is, can we have the access sequence maintained for the fields from both header and item level (ie KOMKBV1 and KOMPBV1). Please be reminded that, in our case, the field ROUTE comes from the field catalog KOMPBV1.
    Another point which we noticed is that, the Function Module COMMUNICATION_AREA_KOMPBV1 which is supposed to fill the Item data Communication structure for output determination was never called.
    Has anyone came across such situations. Comments or suggestions are really appreciated.

    Since you are using ROUTE as one parameter for the condition table, and it is at the item level.
    the output is triggered at the header level.
    So a sales order can contain multiple items with different routes. so at header level how will u identify the route ?
    the fields might be available for creatign the condition table but the problem is the fields should get the value during order processing.
    in the analsysis screen you will know that the field is getting the value of the ROUTE  or not ?
    also for creating a delivery you need a shipping point. same as above you can hae multiple items with different shipping points. how will u consider that scenario.
    If you can explain that, then that will be helpful to answer your problem.

    I have created a Sales order with 20 Qty with a Brach no. XYZ.
    when i creating delivery doc. it saying an error " Batch qty spliiting not is allowed XYZ."
    I checked in MMBE, it has 160 qty.
    why it si showing this error?

    Please check the batch search strategy [VCH2] for the material... If the number of batch splits there is 0 . Then change it to 999 [the max value].

  • Document Splitting not happening

    Dear Friends,
    I have done the configuration required for Document Spitting.
    When i post a document with expenses and tax from two cost centres which has two different profit centres then according to principle of document spliting the tax amount for which i dont give any cost object should get split proportionately into two profit centres. but....
    this split is not happenning in GL view but when i see the tables related to document splitting the values are split proportionately and stored in the respective tables. but not reflecting in GL view.
    Can any one tell me what could be the reason for this...

    I have maintained document number range in FAGL_DOCNR. The document type is IF for non-leading ledger.
    My doubt is
    1. should i maintain IF in leading ledger also and maintain number range in FBN1.
    2. Should i classify IF document for Document splitting.

  • Serial number assignment to batch split position in outbound delivery

    Hello All,
    I have a question for which I can't find any answer even though I have been struggling through several forums, etc. Let me explain it:
    I create a outbound delivery for material XYZ which is batch managed and serial number managed. An automatic batch determination takes place. Thus a batch split is created for the main item 10. Since the serial number is required, I enter the serial number for the batch split position 900001. Press enter and save.
    The problem is, that afterwards the batch split positions aren't shown in the Batch split screen using transaction VL02N (the batch split positions and also the serial number can be displayed via VL03N). The issue is that the serial number entered cannot be removed nor the batch split can be changed anymore.
    Message VL429: Batch/Val.type split only possible if no serial numbers are maintained.
    It seems to be a standard SAP functionality, but a little bit tricky. Can anybody help me?
    1. How can I remove the serial number assignment for a batch split position?
    2. Is there any customizing setting with which I could perhaps deactivate the check?

    issue has been solved at last. The batch split indicator can be used to display the batch structure of an item. And here the serial number can be removed as well.

  • Rework batches stock not propose in delivery document & only propose in SO,

    I have face one issue at a time of delivery creation:
    Issue : All FG stock availbale in table MSKA , that all stock prapose in availibility run in SO but the same quantity not prapose in delivery document,
    For example : In table MSKA , Initially stock is 100 with 10 batch with 10 quantity fo each batch, Out ot 10 , 2 batch marked for rework, & that batch against consumption (261) also done, AFter consumption in MSKA stock available 80,
    But when we create delivery document , System propose only 60 quantity insted of 80, Actully FG  stock availble 80 in table MSKA,
    In SO - Availibility run time system propose 80 quantity, Only delivery time propose 60 quantity,
    We are using MTO scenarion in my company,
    Pls revert me with solution, Any Std. configuration is missing for rework process,
    Request you to alos send me which STd.configuration require for rework process,

  • Source determination not happening during PR creation from Planned order

    Hi Experts
    We have set up source determination and we have created a sourcelist of material and a vendor is fixed, there is a inforecord alos maintined,
    I am trying to convert a planned order from MD04 to a purchase requisition, the source is not being assigned for the PR, I am alos getting an  information saying that 'the material is defined for inhouse production'
    secondly if I click the 'Assign Source of Supply', then I am getting an error 'not possible to assign  a source of supply'.
    The material is a finished material 'FERT' with procurement key 'X' so in MRP an planned order gets generated for converting a PR or a production order.
    Note - I was doing this effectively in a differnt client without any proble.  I am unable to find what I am missing, please sugest.

  • Primary cost component split not happening

    Hello Experts,
    I am trying to create a Primary cost component split for Products with following settings
    1. Creation of Primary cost component structure "1N" and marking it as Primary cost component
    2. Assigning the Primary cost elements to the Cost component structure
    3. Assigning the Primary cost component structure for the Company code and Plant
    4. Assigning the Primary cost component structure to "Version" under "Price calculation" tab.
    5. Activity type with Activity type category "1- Manual entry, Manual allocation" and Price Indicator "1 - Plan price, automatically based on activity"
    6. Activity output planning for Cost center
    7. Primary cost planning for the Cost centers
    8. Activity price calculation. (Update run) - Prices are changed in KP26 also
    9. After all the above steps I checked report S_ALR_87013644, Plan price is existing in the report as mentioned in SAP note: 1658589
    After all the above steps, I tried running Cost estimate for a product. I am getting the error message
    Cost element 90001 is not assigned to a cost component
    Message no. CK239
    Also, I am getting a message
    No structure could be determined for internal activity TEB (M0001)
    Message no. CK694
    Therefore the Cost component is showing only the Material component.
    Where "90001" is a secondary cost element. I am not sure why system is still searching for Secondary cost element where we have assigned Primary cost component structure. I also ensured that Primary cost elements used in planning are all assigned to a Component in Cost component structure.
    I checked for SAP note "1736332", which is not applicable for my system version. Current version of SAP_APPL is  Release 606 and Support package SAPKH60607.
    Please help. Am I missing any settings.

    Hi Muneer,
    Please check whether you have maintained cost center splitting structure properly and assigned to the respective cost center for which you have maintained output planning and input planning.
    This splitting structure is much required because there only we maintain the relationship between primary cost elements and activities.
    Coming to your first message, yes system expects maintenance of secondary cost elements also in the cost component structure which is not primary CCS.
    Inorder to show primary cost component structure view:
    First, system calculates the direct activity cost in terms of secondary cost elements...
    Next, it verifies the cost center splitting structure you made,
    Then, system is going to convert the direct activity cost in terms of primary cost elements based on the splitting structure and Finally displays the primary cost component view
    I suppose second message speaking about cost center splitting structure only, please go through it carefully
    Other than these whatever the process you specified is right only..

  • Batch determination not working during goods issue in MIGO screen

    Hi,
    We have configured search strategy according to shelf life expiration while doing the goods issue with movement type 201, 351 etc. Now when I do goods issue in MB1A for movement type 201 or in MB1B for movement type 351, by entering the * and clicking enter, system proposes the batch nos of the material according to the shelf life expiration. But when I do same procedure in MIGO screen, while entering * in batch field system does not propose the batch nos., instead it gives error as "use of special characters are not allowed"
    How the above problem can be resolved?

    I have done the settings as per your suggestions by maintaining the Stock Determination Group. However It picks the batches as per FIFO and not as per shelf life expiration. Also same is the case with MB1A or MB1B.
    The reason I wish to use MIGO instead of MB1A or MB1B is as follows
    Suppose STO is made of say 10 line items (all Batch managed items). Now while issuing the goods, say for the seventh item there is no stock available then I can not bypass this item (it asks for enter the batch no. even though I change the quantity to zero) and I have to abort the complete transaction. But in case of MIGO I can bypass this item by unchecking the item OK check box.
    Any inputs on the above will be helpful.

  • Output type not triggered during Delivery Order - pls help

    Need some help.
    I'm trying to setup output determination for delivery. It's a new output type for delivery.
    There are some checking that I want to build in to determine whether the output type is to be generated. Therefore I have to make sure of requirement (routine). However, after putting in the configuration, coding the requirement and creating the condition record, the output type still cannot be generated. When I go to VL02N to check the Output Determination Analysis it says the requirement " " is not fulfilled. It's not even calling out the requirement number that I assigned in the access sequence.
    Any idea what could be wrong? 
    This is what I've done :
    1. Creating condition tables
    2. Creating access sequence & assigning the condition tables to the access sequence
    3. In the access sequence, assign requirement number 999. The "Exclusive" indicator is not ticked.
    4. Ensure that the requirement 999 is activated in tcode VOFM.
    5. Create output type, assign the access sequence to the condition type.
    6. Assign the condition type to the output determination procedure. Make sure the "Manual" checkbox is not ticked.
    7. Assign the delivery type to the output determination procedure.
    8. Create condition record. 
        Note : when i created the condition record, I am not able to assign a Partner Function (for eg. SH) to the record. However in the config for the output type I've already configured for that Partner Function "SH" to be allowed for that output type.
    Appreciate suggestions & feedback.

    This is because in requirement you put certain conditions should be fulfill then out put should trigered,
    Example - if you maintained condition in requirement that user must maintain loading point
    Now when creating delivery user not maintained loading point then output will not trigered, so user must maintain that then only it will trigered output.
    Same problem just now solved, check which data maintenance conditions in routine and try to maintain that.
