BestBuy vending machine charge me few times despite of error screen I got during check out

I used one of BestBuy express vending machines at SFO to buy a Pebble Steel watch. 
Unfortunately 2 times I got a technical error at check out process and on the 3-rd time successfully got a Pebble Steel watch. No any indication that purchase was processed at error screen. A few minutes later on my credit card, I got 3 transactions from bestbuy.
The problem is that my credit card has been charged 3 times, instead of just once, despite of error screen "Purchase can not be processed, try again later"! 
My first experience with BestBuy express vending machine seems to be bad -  I had to pay 3 times the price of a single product! 
I try to contact Customrt care by phone and got some IVR which do not provide me any option to explain what my case is. Totally unusefull.
Does anybody knows whom to contact regarding payment issues with BestBuy express vending machihnes ?
Is it possible to be refund for incorrectly processed payments or to stop using those "bestbuy express vending machines" ?

I'm sorry to hear the Best Buy Express machine you used was not working properly.     After drying for a month and it's still not working, it's almost certainly suffered hardware damage and will need to be replaced. You can learn what Apple will charge to replace it here:

    Did you look to see if there is debris or dust causing the problem? Get a flashlight and take a look to make sure.
    Is there something in the USB end of the cord perhaps?
    You didn't answer this question ....Are you using the charger and cord that came with your iPad?
    You could try changing cords if you have another one available to see if it is the cord. Have you tried connecting to your computer to see if you get the same message?
    You could try a hard reset by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears, let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. Then try the charger again.

  • Would you buy a used iPhone 4S that you KNOW has been dropped a few times?

    A friend, who's quite the businessman, wants to sell me his 2-year old iPhone 4S. He's dropped it a few times and had the screen replaced twice. Most recently the speaker was fuzzy. He took it to get repaired by a local shop (not applestore) and was told it was just some dust interfering with the sound.
    Alternative is to buy online (ebay or such) and hope I get one that's been taken better care of.

    Lenovo - Charged my card THREE times after transaction was declined two weeks ago ??? Fraud or Thieves I tried to buy a lenovo laptop but transaction was denied since I live in UK and tried to buy with a UK card. this was on 4th of may 2011. Two days back Lenovo charged me THREE times for a transaction which never got processed. My bank account is nill and everytime I get through customer services, either they hang up on me or pass me onto credit card services, where complete morons work. They are actually more ruder and hang up by telling me that I have to wait two days after transaction was cancelled. But when i do explain that the transaction was on the 4th and this was charged two days back, which is an error then they do the classic lenovo style ....HANG up on me. I dont have an order number since no order was placed, and completely broek and going mad. Does anyone help me ..... 

      Hey Mark, Thankyou for helping me, someone sensible with a kind intention and I'm very appreciative for it. First of all, I'm in UK but my wife is in US, so I was ordering this for her and I tried to place the order several times but it was declined on all instances and no order was neither emailed as confirmation nor was it communicated. To place a charge on an order which was never processed seems very untoward and dubious practice. I buy things for my family in the US all the time using my card and never had any issue or problem and the worst is it will be declined. And when I do place an order it's always a point of mine to make sure it's a reliable vendor because then I can expect reasonable and safe transaction. But do you think Lenovo transaction processing policy gives any assurance for it's reliability other than to its own self. I placed an order with Amazon (US website) for a stroller for my baby girl back in December, they did not charge my card till a day before dispatch in March 2011 ........ for me that is a reasonable customer service and experience. Product Brand and Shopping for it is an experience, a consumer only expects that during this process the vendor or facilitator  "to be reasonable" and "fair", in this context your organisation has failed not just for me but probably every shopper who has passed through your doors. I used to love your product, I was waiting and saving to buy one of this for me and for my wife but now I would look for an alternative simply because I cant trust your services. I thankyou for helping me and hope something changes in the future and please advise your Credit Card services team that hanging up on a customer who is dealing with critical and money related issue is not nice.............nor professional. I couldn't have any lunch nor dinner yesterday because I do not have any money in my account. I had to go all the way across town in a bus to borrow some money from my friend so I can survive till I get my money back.....     - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. The cable as well as the iPod, is covered by the warranty.

    You broke it, you will need to get it serviced or replaced. The drop voided your warranty so you would have to do an out-of-warranty replacement with Apple.
    Please don't type in headline style, i.e. capitalizing every word.

    Hi. I would suggest carefully examining your cable at both ends where the cable connects with the USB Plug and other side where the cable connects to the Apple port. Making sure that there are no breaks in the insulation or any wires showing at all. It just may be an issue of replacing the apple cable, which you can order and easily have shipped to you.
    Frayed connections on either ends can happen if someone trips over connected power cable and it gets yanked while still connected to ipad for example.
    Another thing may be just simply doing as Diavonex suggested. And trying a different outlet. I would add trying a different outlet that is on a different circuit then the one you are currently using.
    Only other possibilities besides a frayed cable, or a bad wall outlet, would be don't plug your adapter into some thin household extension cord with the three outlets on its far end as an extension point.
    And possibly check for dirt in the adapter USB port side and corrosion on the adapters electric prongs. Also check your cable connectors for same kind've dirt and corrosion. Especially for gritty type dust that may have gotten into your connection points. Considering that you seem to be experiencing an intermittent power connection, I would really suggest checking and possibly cleaning very gently and carefully your adapters USB port, and your cables USB plug, which is where it seems you are having your connectivity issues.
    if you experience this again i suggest just ordering a complete new Apple adapter and a new Apple cable. It is easier then cleaning the ports.
    Lastly, How good is the quality of the electricity that your electric company provides? Any other troubles with other appliances or TV's, etc? It's only a tiny and slight chance but if you are experiencing other electrical intermittent problems then it may be remotely possible that the quality of electricity you are receiving from your provider is rather poor and that is responsible for your problems with your adapter.

    Try going into your settings and 'reset all settings'
    You will need to retweak your device but it's been said to help with sound issues.

    To rule out a problem with the shuffle's onboard software, I would try a Restore on the shuffle using iTunes.  The Restore button is on the shuffle's Settings screen in iTunes.  This will erase the shuffle, reinstall its software, and set it to default settings.
    If that does not help, you should do a test to confirm there is not a problem on the USB port, such as lack of power to operate the iPod and charge it battery.  Shut down (power off) the computer and disconnect all USB devices including hub, except for standard keyboard and mouse (if normally used).  If the computer is a laptop, connect its power adapter (so that it's not running on battery power).  Do this to reset the shuffle

    If that does not help, it is more likely that the problem is a hardware problem on the shuffle, such as the battery.

    Monitor the account used for making those purchases for credits. It can take anywhere from 24 hours to three business days.

    It's not clear whether you were able to do any backups to this drive at all.  If not, it's probably not formatted properly.  See #5 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions for instructions.
    If you did get any successful backups, there may be a problem with the drive, or the backups may be corrupted.  Try to repair the backups, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.

    the battery got zapped by lightning last year and have struggled with it ever since. it won't fully recharge.
    Right now have got it on the AC without the battery to try to charge the backup battery.
    I have managed to restore it several times after crashing, inspite of my tech guy claiming otherwise. but have never really opened it up besides just looking at the memory slots. just one filled with 512 card.
    so any advice, or suggestions.
    I've been messing with my Power book for like 10 hours and finally finished replacing the hard drive. (just installing the software and all the updates took almost 2 hours by itself) Now it boots up every few times and the hardware test still gives me -9972 error.

    My friend. Do not despair.
    Firstly, you have a backup. Kudos.
    Secondly, i suspect the hard drive in the machine is more than just a few years old. Hard drives die. I suspect the hard drive is the issue, not the cable.
    Thirdly, it is worth changing the hard drive and take the ifixit advice. Simple to change. If it will be your first time changing the hard drive, just be organized and follow the steps carefully.
    Now, before we decided it is the hard drive we need to confirm this.
    I would check if SMART reports favorable conditions for the drive. Disk utility can tell you.
    If good then I would zero out the drive. This allows the drive to excercise every sector and will build confidence of a well prepared drive going forward.
    You can then restore from backup.
    The other option is to replace the internal HD with a new one, perhaps with more storage.
    As an FYI, I replaced the drive on my powerbook G3 and it's faster, quite , has more storage and gives me some peace of mind. Worth the money. The little guy runs beautifully.
