BI query not properly displaying in Consumer Portal - Through FPN - RRA

Hi Everyone,
we have implemented FPN between EP 7.0 and BI 7.0 . A role with BI reports (iview created using Bex7.0 template) are working fine in BI Portal.
When its RRA to a users in EP-consumer portal, its not coming properly. I mean it shows some default header/Menu (like New Analysis Open, Save As, Information, Send etc..) in EP but not displaying the details of the report. Other URL iviews are working fine in RRA, just BI query is not coming properly. All pre-requisite for FPN is done properly and SSO configured.

Work item not getting displayed in the portal

Hi experts,
We are creating a protoype for one of the standard HCM form for change in working time. When we initiate the process, the workflow is supposed to identify the agent(which is the manager in this case) and push the work item in the inbox of the manager.
In our issue, we are able to see the workitem in SAP inbox, but the same work item is not getting displayed in the portal.
If we try to approve from the SAP inbox, the hard coded message u201CWork item can only be executed using the Portal and the UWLu201D comes. [this comes through the method of one of the tasks 17900101 which we are using for approving the form]
We commented the message by using a Z class. Now we donu2019t get the hardcoded message, but still the workflow does not complete from here.
Can this be aan integration issue of the workflow tasks with the portal??Can someone elaborate on this??

You have to say to your portal team to modify their XML file as above. In simple you hvae to configure the task in the portal and in the SWFVISU txn as follows with the following vizualization parameters
Task TS17900101 and visualization type is JavaWebDynpro

Query not showing detailed result when run through query Designer or Portal

Hi,
There is one query which not showing detailed result while running through Query Designer or run in Portal.
But strange thing is that it is showing the detailed result when i run it through BeX Analyzer.
While all the other queries don't have this problem in system. All showing the correct detailed result.
If anyone have some idea on this issue plz let me know.

Hi,
We can do this setting in WAD. Please check the web template and try to remove that setting. When you have hierarchy then we can display only till certain level in portal, this setting is done in web template APIs, but in bex analyzer you can see all the detailed information.

Adobe Form not getting displayed on the portal

Hi,
From the MSS portal when I run the process, the associated adobe form(using HCM) doesn't get displayed on the portal. Initially the problem was with higher version of acrobat reader but now it is solved. Now I am not getting any error or warning but adobe form still not getting displayed.

Why do TOC do not properly display levels,... even after I set them to?

All,
I am having a major hard time trying to get my TOCs to properly display levels. I have been doing research on the subject, but it seems any recommendations have proved futile.
The issue:
My ID docs TOC's do not display levels at all
I have pretty much tried everything. I have gone to simple styles for Chapters and Sub Chapters to see what the issue would be

One article I found which outlined ID having issues with inset text boxes
It seems setting an inset on text boxes with TOC content affects the display of such
I tried removing any insets but results still did not fix the issue i face
Questions
What the hell am i doing wrong?
Is this a bug in ID CS6?
Is there anything I should not be doing when formatting a style that will be used on the TOC?
Are there any "NO NOS" I should be aware of here?
I mean, the above image is a test i built using a bare bones approach. The "Chapters" and "Sub Heads" styles are truly basic formats. The only attributes to these styles is a change in font style and size:

Thanks to everyone for all your comments. To remove any possible conflicts, I did not apply any entry styles to the entries because i thought:
The TOC function generate levels independent of styles
Levels are automatically applied to any entry (TOC levels override everything else)
That levels override any styles one may apply to the entry
Basically, I do not need a style to create an indentation in my TOC. Levels create the indentation. (thus my example using the default ID Basic Paragraph Style)
Are the above assumptions wrong? If I am wrong, then are you guys saying I would need to create a TOC specific style denoting indentation for ever level?
IOWs, following my example:
Chapters = LV1 = Create a "TOC Paragraph Style X" that indents (say) 0pxs
Sub Heads = LV2 = Create another "TOC Paragraph Style Y" that indents (say) 20pxs
On the table of contents I would need to apply each their corresponding style in order to create TOC indents:
"Chapters" ---> TOC Paragraph Style X
"Sub Heads" ---> TOC Paragraph Style Y
If this is the fix, then I must say that this is a very cumbersome approach. (Hell, I would ask, why give me the levels option in the firts place in the TOC dialogue box!) If I have a book with a ton of levels, it will be pretty darn hard to manage so many styles.
PS: sorry I omitted one dialogue screen in my original post. Here is what I am doing.

Producer content is not visible in Consumer portal in FPN

Hi All,
we have configured FPN and the connection is successful, but we are not able to see the Producer content in Consumer portal.
and we are not able to search the producer roles from Identity Management of Consumer also.
We did,
1. we configured trust between two portals.
2. Registered Producer.
3. Remote_role with actions aslo added in Producer.

Check whether you have proper permissions on the pcd objects (roles/pages/iviews) in producer portal.
Also check the producer roles have entry point 'Yes'.
Also you should logon to the producer with the same role atleast once as you are assigning the producer role in conusmer portal(RRA). This is the limitation in FPN.

Some fonts I use for my iWeb-made site are not properly displayed on other computer. How can I sort it out?

I have made a website and I have noticed that some fonts and some background shapes are not correctly displayed on other computers (non Mac users).
Could you help me to sort out this problem?

It's not a browser issue per se either.
You see the Font because the font is your computer. The same font has to be on the computer of your visitor.
iWeb use a substitute font based on a font list it uses. If that substitute font is missing too, the browser chooses a similar font, which is not always the one you want.
You can force your font to display on a PC (but not with Internet Explorer) using a custom stylesheet with an embedded font. See it here :

New MacBookPro 13" (early 2011) not properly displaying 1920x1200 on an external display

Hi,
A week ago I got a new MacBookPro 13". Early 2011 model, the ones that now come with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 video card. I am connecting it to a Sun 24.1" LCD Monitor v4 (http://www.oracle.com/us/products/servers-storage/desktop-workstations/030743.ht m) through a Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter. Supposedly the Sun monitor is running at 1920x1200 @ 60hz (with the MacBookPro at its original resolution of 1280x800).
The problem is that the image on the Sun monitor is not using the whole screen. The MacOs is 10.6.7 and I have downloaded all updates as of today (June 13 2011). I am *not* mirroring displays, of course.
Now, for the record, I still have my old MacBook 13", which the new one was supposed to replace and this problem is *not* present. 1920x1200 on the external Sun display uses all the screen. That laptop has an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M video card. Its MacOS is also 10.6.7, with all software updates as of today.
My current suspicion is the new MBP is somehow trying to force the aspect ratio of the external display to be that one of HD, but it is only a suspicion. Any help with this please? Is something known? Is it a feature or a defect of my laptop and I should try to get another one? If it is a feature, does it mean that I will not be able to fully use any of the three 24.1" Sun monitors that I have? (one at home, one on each of my two offices?)

Navigational Attribute is not properly displaying

Hello,
We have a "Sales Group" navigational attribute YCUST_SAL-YSALE_GRP in a BW report. We have adjusted a sales group for a customer in R3 from F10 to E49 and hte same has been pulled to BW side,.
we have activated the master data manually and we are able to see the new data is available against the customer.
But when we refresh teh report, for that customer we are able to see only F10 as the sales group,.
For cross check, we have sales group display property also. where we are able to see E49.
Please let us know why we are seeing inconsistency between display and navigational attribute for a same infoobject.

It seems Master data is not activated properly....
Whether the query is fetching data from Aggregates, if so you have to do Attribute changerun for this infoobject
goto SE38 and run this program RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN it will Info object name...Provide your info object and execute...

Query not getting displayed in Web

Hi all,
I have connection to SAP Server through VPN.
I have loaded SAP GUI 7.0+ patches. Windows XP, All antivirus disabled.
But when I execute report from query designer it is not displayed in the web. Page can be displayed.
It gives the error?
Is any thing setting requires from my end in Excel or SAP.

Hi Mukesh,
Check with your LAN settings. It might be a problem of your Internet Explorer. Check the Internet connection settings and execute the same in Web.
Check if you can execute the query in excel. If you are able to get the required output in excel, then it will be a problem with your Internet explorer or Internet connection settings. Check with the same.

Not properly displayed report in JRC but in CR designer

Hi,
The report has two XML data sources and data are displayed in a Table. Table is designed with multiple column feature. When I run this report in CR designer preview it works fine. But When I run it in JRC, data are displayed on the report. But not in the expected format. Totally different than the CR designer preview.
We are using Crystal report 2008.
Can you tell me the cause/ solution for this problem?

Images used inside the Portlets are not getting displayed on Oracle Portal

I am registering my JSR Portlet producer on Oracle Portal server but when its rendered on the portal page its not showing images.It just shows a red cross mark showing image is not loaded.Can anyone help me out please samt thing is happening with CSS also.Please reply soon

I'd check the image properties (right click the x and choose properties) and see what the path is for the image. If it is a relative path, you need to make sure that the file is in that location on the Application Server. /images/myImage.jpg would mean the file should be in $ORACLE_HOME/portal/images on the midtier.

Motion 4 - Canvas not properly displaying media

I have a new mac pro tower and have recently installed FCP 3. Everything has been working fine until I started with Motion. It seems that no matter what type of media I import into Motion, the canvas displays a mostly black image with some sparse color pixels...even with the installed templates. If I double click the file, it displays fine in a separate window. If I send out to my client monitor, it looks fine. But my two displays show the same issue only in the canvas portion of the program. Is the new ATI card incompatible? Any thoughts?

Oh - how about screen calibration software - Color Munki?
That is for print and not compatible with Motion.
