BI Statistics Technical Content Activation Error

I got some errors when activating BI Statistics technical content in SPRO and could not find any information about this error on SDN. I would really appreciate your help.

"Before you can call the BI Administration Cockpit, the technical content has to be installed and customized."

Statistics technical content activation issue with MD process chain in BI7

Hi,
Let me give you history of the issue first.
I had to activate the Statistics in BI7. I followed the SAP Note 965386 and activated the Technical Content.
Faced activation issues in MD process chain, Content Master Data-0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01. It dint get activated, Followed the SAP note 1065919, which asked me to remove the below process from RSPC and activate it.
Load data- Process Variant Attribute and
Load data- Process Variant Text.
I did the same and it got activated after removing them.
Issue is. Later knew that manually activating the Process chain from Content would have activated those Infopackages aswell.
Now how should I get those processes into the chain and activate? Based on your suggestions, I can let you know what all I have been trying to fix it?

I have this issue solved. I replicated the data sources, activated those infoPackages manually and then added those variants into the process chain manually. So my MD chain now has all the necessary process.
Now i need to schedule them and see if it runs with out any errors. I will keep this thread open till i run it to take your help if i get any errors while running them.

Technical content activation for BI STAT and Admin cockpit

Hi friends,
I am going to setup the IMG call for BI STAT and Admin cockpit. If i run the technical content activation will i need a precaution for other data loading. If i run them in background does it affects other data loads. did i need to take down time for the whole system?
After the implemntation did i need to load data for all infoproviders in quality system.

I am not clear on all your questions.
In general, technical content process chains load data similiar to other BI process chains.
if your system is productive for a longer period already ( > 6 months ), there may be a lot of
BI statistics data generated and this will take a longer time to load the technical content cubes during the initial load.
Otherwise, it should not affect system performance.
It is better to schedule them daily to avoid huge data loads.
But these are only guidelines. It depends on your need.
You would need to do separately for quality and production system, if you want the BI stats in those systems. This is similiar to any other Data load and cube and content in BI.

Urgent-Technical content Activation

Hi all,
I had a basic question.
I am activating Technical Content in BW.Do we have to activate the datasources in R/3 system and then replicate it in BW.Just like any other datsources?
I was under the assumption that activating the objects related to Technical contetn does not have to deal with R/3 system.As i see the datasources under the Bw system under the source system.
Please correct me if iam wrong?This is an urgent issue,appreciate with any help provided.

that was a very helpful answer.Now i can say that my doubt has been clarified "if i have to activate DS in R/3 for Technical Content".
But my other question is when i transport it to QA.I have been getting the following logs.
Warnings:
Application component TCT of DataSource 0BWTC_C02 does not exist Etc for each DS.
Errors:
DataSource 0BWTC_C02 does not exist in source system QBWCLNT100 of version A
Mapping between data source 0BWTC_C02 and source system QBWCLNT100 is inconsistent
Field CALDAY will not be delivered from DataSource 0BWTC_C02 in source system QBWCLNT100 Etc
I get a RC 8 on this.I checked the DS 0BWTC_C02 in Dev and it was in active version so saved it and retransported it but the same message.
please advice.

Hi,
Aks your Basis person to look into the dump in tcode ST22. Also you can check in the SAP notes for error message displayed in the dump. There you find the correction notes.
Mostly this problem is related to Service packs.

BI 7.0 Technical Content Activation

We have performed the technical upgrade from 3.5 to 7.0 and are in the process of performing the Post Upgrade steps. We are currently updated to level: SAP_BW 7.00 SP15.
One of the Post Upgrade steps referenced in the "How to ... Checklist: Rapid SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI Technical Upgrade with BI Accelerator Implementation" SAP document references the the activation of BI Technical Content (even if there are no plans to use it). Our problem occurs when we attempt to activate the required Technical Content objects via IMG (TCode SPRO). When the activation reaches the Process Chain activation a couple of the Process Chains reference objects that are not available at our content patch level.
I have researched and understand the workaround discussed in OSS 1134944. My question is more general. Is the activation of the Technical Content absolutley required - even if we have no plans to make use of it initially? If so, can someone please explain why this is the case.

I understand the purpose and usage of Business Content in BI. As I stated in my thread, the Post Upgrade How To Guide implies that the activation of the Technical Content (a component of BI Business Content) is required in 7.0 - even if there are no plans to use it. Since we are having problems with the activation of the Technical Content my question referred only to its objects. We are trying to understand why (if) this component of the Business Content is actually required as the document implies.

Technical Content Activation

Iam trying to activate technical content from Bus. content are and being unsuccessfull.
Steps i took
    Collected the technical content objects.
    Marked all of the objects to be installed.
    Ran install and nothing happenned.
    Then i tried to simulate the install, it is
        saying Role SAP_BWC_TCONT already exists.
Went back to Info providers sections and deleted all of the already existing series of info cubes from
0BWTC_C02.... C11. Delete the multiprovided C10 too.
assuming that this will clear up the role.
Once again tried the simulation and the same error comes up. Not sure how to to delete the role.
Please let me know how to do this.

By using T. Code PFCG we can create/ Edit the roles. So you can go to the T.code and choose the role and delete.

Testing BW Statistics (Technical Content)

Hello ever one,
need some help in testing BW Statistics.
I have install all standard 6 cube and 1 multiprovider in Dev.
Every thing went fine,I am facing problem in testing,
as i am comparing BW Statistics Report out come with
BW objects (such as Cube/ODS-records/deleted records)
which are no where matching with BW Statistics report.
Is their any specific setting i have missed out coz of this
its not giving correct report ?
or some thing else need to be done for testing.

1. Requests being deleted ?
2. Selective deletion ?
Also what is the nature of mismatch - the records do not tally ?
2. There are no records in statistics ?
Try refreshing stats for the cubes and then reload technical content once again.. also check the same in table RSDDSTAT.

BI Content Activation Error in Routines

Hello Gurus,
When I am activating transformations for SRM 5.0 BI data flow, we received following errors in routines
Object '4A41TQSJKSQAXL7KUH18UHY26' (ROUT) not in active version 'A'.
Could anyone suggest process to find specific routine using technical name? This information is required to find, which infoprovider/transformation mapping is having this routine.
We are unable to find this routine by technical name in BI content. So if we know corresponding Infoprovider or Transformation technical name, we can try to re-install the same.
Would really appreciate any inputs in this regard.

if this is a routine used in a transformation check out table rstransteprout with the ID of the routine and then take the transformation ID and look into table RSTRAN. There you will find information about the source and the target of the transformation.

BI Business content activation error

Dear Gurus,
I tried installing the business content InfoObject catalogs:
0FIGL_CHA01 (FIGL: Characteristics)
0FIGL_KYF01 (FIGL: Key Figures)
But the job is cancelled and the message is 'Transfer structure 0COMPANY_TEXT_BA does not exist'.I'm able to see all
the infoobjects in the InfoObject catalog 0FIGL_CHA01 are existing active. But few transfer rules are inactive and
I tried activating the transfer rules and getting the same error meassge 'Transfer structure 0COMPANY_TEXT_BA does not exist'. I tried as mentioned in the note:1077655 and still not able to fix the issue
Can you please help? I give full points.
Note: I did replication of the following before activating BI content on BI side:

One reason for you Inactive Transfer structures could be because some of the Objects in BW are inactive or not installed.
There are programs in SE38 which re-activate InfoObjects/ InfoSources/ Update Rules etc in Mass put in ACTIVATE
Also when you did a replication on the Source System to pull the datasources check that the Datasource is there. You need a datasource in order to have an InfoSource attached to it.

Bussiness Content Activation error in 0FIGL_O02 [General Ledger: Line Items

Hi Folks
I'm trying to activate the bussiness contents of a DSO named 0FIGL_O02 [General Ledger: Line Items] which belongs to the General Ledger Accounting module.
When i select the DSO "0FIGL_O02" from the select objects of the Bussiness contents, it pops me up with an error stated as below
" Version A of DataStore object 0PP_DS52 does not exist
Message no. RSDODSO102 "
It doesnt even transfer the DSO object to the INSTALL screen in business content even after getting the above error .
What i need to know is that
1. Why did this error occur ?
2. To solve this error , should i raise an OSS note ?
3. What is this object named as "0PP_DS52" in "0FIGL_O02" DSO ?
Need answer - URGENT !

FIGL takes data from all other modules and reports it to finance. The dependent object 0PP_DS52 needs to be activated it seems for the FIGL settings to get activated

BI Content activation error in 2004s

I am trying to activate the BI Content InfoObjects in Netweaver 2004s and getting a short dump. "OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED". From ST22 the short message says"Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.". There is only one OSS notes (694746) relevant to this error message. However, that's not applicable to the NW2004s version.

SAP_BW : 700 Level 12
Any sugestions ?

I can't seem to find any - but just looking for confirmation that none exist and I will then have to built my own.

BI content activation error

I try to activate BI content (BI 7.0). I Selected Install in Background.
In SM37 transaction i see that process is canceled.
I don't know there is a problem.

Hi,
Besides what Tony has said, a few of things you may want to look at:
1. Look at the log for the install, the job log and system/Application Log
2. You may not have the necessary authorisations for this. Get a SAP_ALL kind of a role attached to ur ID.
3. Try installing the source systems first and then load the content in the background. OR
4. Load one scenario in the foreground. The log will appear in front of you. Taken it on from there for the full install.
