Burndown by Project & Release dates

I have a scenario where we have multiple projects on the same team with the same team members and each project has a different release date. We would like to track the burndown for the work done per project and its release date to ensure we are on track
for the release. Also we need to know the overall individual team member capacity across the projects to identify if resources can be shared and thus they all have to be under the same Team. Is there a way to have multiple burndowns in Visual Studio Online?
We are using the Agile Project Management template. We previously achieved this by using pivot tables in Excel. But were hoping there is an easier way when using VSO so that we do not have to manage data separately in excel sheets.
Here's my scenario:
Sprint April
Project 1 under Team A. Release Date say April 10 - Burndown 1
Project 2 under Team A. Release Date say April 25 - Burndown 2
Project 3 under Team A. Release Date say May 15 - Burndown 3
What are my options here? Should I create multiple area paths and iteration paths? Have different team projects under the same collection? Please advise
Thanks

There are multiple ways to get something in this direction. The simplest would be to create 3 teams, one for each project, and put all the work for each team in its own Area. Your actual team (the people) can still use the root team (which can be configured
to show all the work) to plan their work across the different projects.
If you want to see the work on the burndown, you can then simply open the team dashboard for each individual team (work area/project) to see the status of the work in progress for each project.
You can also use the Team explorer integration into Excel to export all the data to a table that automatically updates when you hit refresh in Excel. That way you won't need to manage the data in 2 locations, just keep the data in TFS, and then use the Team
tab in excel to update your report.
Using different team project would also work, but makes it much harder for the team members to use the planning tools, there is no way in TFS to get a plan board or backlog view that goes across team projects.

  • Why is there no exchange program for people who bought ipad2 before the release date of ipad3

I sold my iPad 64g 3g on 12 December 11 so I could buy and iPad 2 64g 3G iPad2 on Xmas then three months later ipad3 comes out I have been I contact with apple support and they tell me to sell it on the returns program they would offer me £300 for it I payed £700 with three years cover plan.
I would have been happy to wait three months if I was notified that there was an iPad 3 release date but nothing came out .
So I ask apple and you why is there no exchange program in place for new owners of iPad 2 to be able to exchange for iPad 3 this is good business for the support we give apple in buying they're products time after time

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Rhetorical Question: "Have you heard that juicy rumor about the 'iPad X' yet?"
Apple, as a rule, does not announce hardware products far in advance of actual ordering availability.
More importantly, the Terms of Service for users Apple Support Communities does not permit such speculation here.
There were rumors and speculation about capabilities of the 'iPad 3' published online within hours of the release of the iPad 2 one year ago. If you want to 'keep up' with the rumors, I suggest taking few moments every month to visit websites like The Unofficial Apple Weblog (tuaw.com), and The Apple Insider (appleinsider.com), among others. You'll find a wealth of information about current products as well as plenty of rampant speculation about future products and projected release dates there.
Regarding 'trade-in' or 'trade-up', Apple has built their organization to manufacture and market new devices, media, and software. As you discovered with your original iPad, the best solution may be to sell your current device privately and buy a new one if you have a compelling need to upgrade to the latest model.
And, try as I might, I've never convinced my local car dealer to take my 3-month-old vehicle with 3,000 miles in equal trade for the shiny new model that was just introduced. But honestly, I'm buying run-of-the-mill 'daily transportation', not collectible automotive-works-of-art that will appreciate in value over time.

  • Release date for next version of Forms?

Has anyone heard of a release date for the next version of Forms (10.1.2.0.2 or whatever it will be)? I may be starting a major Forms project shortly and I'd like to use the most current version of Forms with the current Application Server.

We are looking at mid summer this year. Depending on your start times it may be as well starting on 10g (9.0.4) as there is a long support cycle for it.

Thanks for looking into my question.
I have a requirement like below.
For a given material and plant, I need to find no of batches manufactured, rejected , approved and released.
Based on QA status, I am able to see no of batches approved(QA status A), Rejected(QA Status R). But I do not know how to find/calculate no of batches released and also the release date.
    Thanks,

  • Release Date for next BEA Workshop?

    Hi:
I haven't seen much activity around BEA Workshop 3.3 as far as new releases for more than 1/2 of a year. Is there a release date for the next version? What will it be? What happens to those people who already have subscriptions to BEA Workshop?
    Thanks
    Mike

The new Workshop 10.1 does not work with Eclipse 3.3(Europa)? That's disappointing. If you like Eclipse 3.3 you might be interested to know that BEA will be
releasing WebLogic Server Tools 1.0 based on Europa this Monday the
16th. WebLogic Server Tools does not have all of the Workshop features
such as Beehive support or AppXRay, but it has Workshop's WebLogic
Server integration bits and a few other basic WebLogic Server tools
(such as support for "Shared J2EE Libraries / Library Modules"). These
are the same bits as were shipped for 10.1, but they have been ported to
    work on Europa.
Note that if you are currently a Workshop users, WebLogic Server Tools
is not an upgrade path for Workshop projects. WebLogic Server Tools is a
paired down offering designed for people using basic Eclipse/WTP
facilities and wanting good WLS integration. Full Workshop on top of
Europa is a bit out in a future.

  • Any word on release date?

Do we know anything about the release date of Flash Catalyst or even educated guesses? I have a project coming up that Catalyst would be very useful on, but I can't use a beta product for this project. I may end up having to use good old Flash CS4, but would love to use Catalyst if possible. Any idea?

I apologize that I cannot provide more info on this.  Adobe hasn't made the release date for Flash Catalyst public yet.

  • Project Master Data in PS getting changed ....

After the Project is released to PS from C-projects, if we change any
data in C-projects , master data in PS like Co code, bus.area, Profit
Centre, is getting changed to default.
this is creating a huge problem in our system. Once the PS master data
is updated for the first time, why the data is again getting changed,
if we do any changes in C-projects, like changing the project name.
Pl. let us know, what needs to be done ?
    thanks

Thresd moved to cprojects and RPM forum

Check your configuration. Have you setup transfer of Co-code from cProjects to PS?
If not, then this is probably an error. Contact SAP.

  • CS Release Dates

Does anyone have a list of the release dates of CS3, CS4 and CS5?
Also what do the upgrade prices from CS5 to CS5.5 compare like to CS4 to CS5, or CS3 to CS4.  I'm trying to project costs etc..

    Stix Hart wrote:
Anyone got a comment on upgrade pricing comparisons?
Upgrade pricing for 5.5 (and basic pricing) is higher than previous releases, and in my opinion too high for upgrades from 5 to 5.5. I think this may well inidcate a general price increase going forward.
I happen to have licenses for ID as a standalone, and for Design Premium and Master Collection CS5, and not enough computers to need them all all the time, so I'm seriously considering adopting a policy of upgrade the standalone ID for two years, then upgrade a suite, then back to the standalone for two years, then back to the suite, but I don't use the new features heavily in Photoshop or Illustrator (well, some of them I do, once I know what they are and how to use them, but it isn't the same as ID which I use day-in and day-out), and I'm not into web or video, so I can easily live without constant upgrades on those components, too. Your mileage may vary, and if you don't have standalone licenses already, you'd have to factor that in as well.

  • [JHS10.1.3]About production version released date

Current JHS10.1.3 preview version cannot be used in production and we have to begin a new project now.
It's really a dilemma in choosing which version to use.
If possible, can we know the estimated JHS10.1.3 production released date ?
That will help us in project time control in the future no matter which version we will use.
    Thank you.

    Eron and others,
We are getting real close, but are not ready yet. The current schedule is to release the production version end of July, and we are very confident we will make that deadline.
Note that we will continue to upload latest builds to the cso.oracle.com, so you can already start development with 10.1.3 Preview.

  • Adding or modifying the Release date on MUSIC

I like to create play lists based on when the music was released. Many of my songs do not have a release date and I have been unable to find a way to enter the correct dates.
It would also be nice if the smart playlist would include the release date field for sorting.
The year field is a mystery to me. I have albums that by default say 2001 when the album was released in the 70's. I assume this is the year it was made available to Apple.

The release date field annoyingly cannot be edited without using an external application. Using tagging software such as Musicbrainz Picard will achieve this, but updates all of the tracks metadata with that in the Musicbrainz database. You can read more about Musicbrainz here:
    http://musicbrainz.org/
Alternatively, try an app like Kid3 Tag Editor to manually edit release date and other tags:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/kid3/
The reason the year tag is wrong for older releases is because it is the release year of the particular reissue rather than the original release year. So, for example, The Beatles 2009 remasters would have '2009" in the year tag.

  • Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0 release date

What is the release date for Cisco Prime Infrastructure ?  What are the improvement from 1.2 to 2.0 ?
    thanks
    Morgan

    It's currently due out 31 August 2013.
I haven't seen the final release notes but it will incorporate a lot of the features currently in LMS 4.2 for wired infrastructure management that are currently missing in PI 1.x.
I have heard it will not include Topology or template compliance reports and jobs at 2.0 - those features did not make the development cutoff date for 2.0 but they are projected for 2.1.
