Business Phone Pre-Orders

Has anyone who is a business customer and pre ordered over the phone prior to 11 AM, received their shipment email or tracking number? I get a new story every time I call a business center rep (one told me mine wasnt shipping until 10/5 and after I started screaming realized his mistake and said that he didnt actually have the information up, dumb ***!) I know that we had to wait to pre order until 7 AM but I was told we have a seperate inventory, can anyone confirm that?

I ordered via our business specific site on the 14th.  The email I received from Verizon says my phone will arrive on 9/21 via Fedex Overnight delivery.  That means they have to ship it by tomorrow.  My order was placed with them at 9:26 am on 9/14.  I've checked for the last two days using the Order Status link on the Verizon website.  It continues to say "This order is for a product not currently available in our warehouses. When we receive the inventory, we will process payment and ship it immediately. You will receive notification when this occurs."
I've not gotten any email update saying that I will not receive this as promised on Friday and since the shipment method is FedEx overnight I guess it's still possible for them to deliver it on time.  I'll know tomorrow if the website doesn't update to show a shipment has occurred.

    That is all the information I can get.  No one can tell me if its shipped, why it hasn't and why I have not received any more information with tracking or order numbers.  Anyone else having this problem?  Customer support is WORTHLESS.  They can't look anything up and continue to tell me no one's phone has shipped even though I can clearly see on here that is not the case.

    I have read other sites posts that business accounts were not shipping early and would be shipped on the 9th.

    i just came from the apple store and bought a gift certificate, so i can pre-order it, witch they told me i cold pre-order the phone after i told the i have a business account they told me it was ok, but when i call att they tell me that i can only get it from them i need to call apple over the 1800 to be sure.

    att is telling i can only pre-order 1 phone per house old , per account, but apple is telling me 2 per costumer, im so lost.

    It just made it so you're NOT paying for international service, if you would go traveling in the future or something, you should be able to add it on, but right now you'd only have service in the US

  • How has the pre-order process work for phones?

    I have some questions pertaining to prior phone pre-order processes.  I will be upgrading to the next iphone, whenever it launches.  When I pre-order do I pay the full price for the phone, or do I just pay the upgrade price?  Also, do most pre-ordered items arrive the day of launch, or do they ship day of launch?

    What price you pay is completely dependent on whether you are eligible for a subsidised upgrade from your carrier.
    Usually, most pre-ordered items are scheduled to be delivered on launch day.

    I pre ordered from att first. I didnt think it went through so i ordered from apple and got a email right away. Now it says i pre ordered from att on 6/16 when i ordered on 6/15. i spoke to a att and they said i would be getting both iphones and it shouldnt delay or interfear with the delivery time? Is all this true?

    The same thing happened to me, except my Apple order was for one phone and my AT&T order was for three phones. So, one of my phone numbers had two phones pre-ordered... one from each company. I called AT&T to switch one of the phones to another number on my plan, but they wouldn't allow any changes to the original order except cancellation of the entire order. I told them I was concerned my Apple order would be cancelled which I definitely don't want to happen since it is the only one that has a confirmed June 24 delivery. She told me I would probably receive two phones for the one number and would eventually be charged the full price for the second phone. She said I would have to return the phone to avoid being charged full price.

  • Why is a pre-order phone no longer allowed to be shipped to my work address??

    On Friday, April 4, I went into my local Verizon Store (Orlando MetroWest) to pre-order the new Samsung Galaxy S5.  The order was placed and I was given a copy of the receipt which looked very accurate.  The sales rep had read back to me the Bill To and Ship To address in the store, and it was correct, but didn't show up on the receipt given.  When the confirmation e-mail came to me, I noticed that the Ship To info had my company name, and an address, but my name appeared nowhere on it.  I called to question this when the store opened on April 7, and all of the answers were "I don't know.  I'll have to research and get back to you."  When there were no calls returned I checked again and received the same response.  When I left my office for the day, I still had zero answers.
    I drove to the same local store and re-hashed what I'd tried to accomplish during the morning.  I was told there was no way to amend the shipping label once the order was input, despite the fact NO orders for this phone have yet to be fulfilled, since they are still in the warehouse.  I work in a nine story building with every single office working for the same global company.  There is no chance whatsoever that the FedEx delivery would ever make it to me without my name being on the label.  I don't even think FedEx would try.  It was just foolishness at the time the order was originally input (by the Verizon Store).
    During the morning there was mention of possibly cancelling the entire order and starting from scratch, which I was totally OK with, as even that delay would be quicker than someone signing for the box and it sitting God Knows Where for days/weeks.  When I said we should re-visit that option, I was now informed that it is a "Verizon Policy" to avoid fraud and NO pre-order phone could be delivered to any address except the account address of the phone owner.  That was surprising to hear since it had been done (albeit incorrectly) just a couple of days earlier.  The answer to that was, "Oh, she made a mistake in trying a work-around".  Since I was recording our complete interaction (love that feature on my current phone), I asked manager Mike to verify a third time that he could not send a phone to my office address where I am during FedEx hours, and I could not adjust the existing order to come to the store for pickup.  The answers were No and No.
    My last two Verizon phones were shipped to my office, but I do understand that some company policies do change.  I just think this is a doofus change.  I also think it was pretty foolish for the original sales rep to miss putting a person's name on the shipping label.  I have trouble believing that the computer order system would even allow her to make that mistake.  But Verizon is in phone sales exclusively and not in the corporate shipping business.  Perhaps this is some needed training.

    Epilogue:
    My problem has been solved, and I'm now happy to have my pre-order of the new Samsung Galaxy device completed in a way that totally satisfies me.  But I am kicking myself for not going this route in the first place.  I won't make that mistake again in the future FOR SURE.
    After the manager in the local Verizon Store (Orlando MetroWest) said there was nothing he/they could do to overcome the error made earlier by their store sales representative, because it was a pre-order and nothing can be changed/corrected for the initial input.  They had failed to put my name on the shipping label requested for FedEx delivery, meaning that the box containing my phone would probably NEVER reach my hands once if was delivered to a nine-story office building with many many employees.
    I simply went to my local BestBuy store and mentioned I had a very few questions to be answered prior to attempting to place a pre-order of my new Samsung phone.  I asked if the phone could be set for delivery to my office and the answer was a quick YES.  I asked if the phone could be set for pickup at the BB store and, again, the answer was a quick YES.  They were initially surprised to hear that any company would say otherwise. BestBuy requires a photo ID when they take a phone order, and a signature is required when FedEx makes its delivery, so they assured me the Verizon "Fraud Policy" quoted to me was not a standard retail answer AT ALL.  Thirteen minutes after I walked to the mobile phone department, I was walking out with all my confirmation details for a new phone.  The purchase was less out-of-pocket since BB doesn't do that VZW arrangement of paying $50 extra and then getting that back as a mail-in rebate later.  Seems no other carrier except VZW is charging that extra fee for this new device.  On top of that savings, BB gives you a $10 gift card just for doing the pre-order with them.  Bonus!!
    I may (or may not) receive my phone a few days later than those ordering at the Verizon Store, but in my situation I was assured to get mine late due to the shipping label error.  No matter what, I'm going to be pleased with my purchase, and BestBuy just earned additional respect with the way they accurately handled my Verizon purchase.  VZW it still a quality mobile phone provider, but (in my personal opinion) they are extremely weak in the guest service side of the business . . . which almost negates those other positive things.

    ordered 64GB black at 10:30am EST on friday morning.. email says 10/14 but the order status page says 10/21 still.. ordered on the business B2B website. anyone else having this issue?
    yes i've read the forum and there are not any business related shipment delay questions.

    my credit card was recently caharged for my 4S so thats definitely a good sign.. hopefully we'll see shipment notifications tomorrow.. but i wouldn't be surprised if we saw them on thrusday for an OVERNIGHT delivery for sometime on friday.

    my order status page now says COMPLETED with an estimated delivery date of 10/21/11
    my confirmation email i received after submitting my order said that it was expected to ship on 10/14/11
    this is what i've been receiving from VZW customer support reps via email..
    "Based on the time and date you placed your order, it should indeed ship on the 14th. However, we will not have the tracking information until Fed Ex actually picks up the package on Friday, the 14th. Your My Biz order number is: MBXXXXXXXXX. We will not have an order number and location code until Friday, when it will process in our system and generate a tracking number. The process is different because this is a pre-order, so we do not have an order number and location code at this time. I verified all of this information with a supervisor here. So, you might just want to give us a call later in the day on Friday to get the tracking information."
    "We have completed your research equipment order. As previously stated on the e-mail response below the phone will be shipped on October 14, 2011. Once FEDEX Tracking number has been assisgned the delivery date and time can be confirmed"

    I apologize for the confusion.  Orders being placed right now will not be available until 10/21 or later. 
    However based on the time your order was placed your expected shipping date is scheduled for 10/14/11.

  • Business Pre-Order?  No shipping for you!

    Guess what?  If you pre-ordered your iPhone 4 at 3AM last Thursday, you are not getting your phone until the end of this week.  Why?  Verizon decided to prioritize consumer orders over business orders, but did not tell anyone.  They really should have come clean and said the pre-order period is just for consumers.  But instead they just let us lose a night's sleep for nothing.
    If you ordered your iPhone through a business account on My Verizon and have not received any shipping notice, please call business support to complain.

    I'm in the same situation.  I was up trying to get on the Verizon page at 11:55, kept getting the ECPD error.  When finally got through, the Silver Iphone Plus 64 showed arrival of 9-19.  At every step of the process, it seemed that I was ordering a phone that would arrive on day1.  At no point did it say this was an estimate.  At no point did it say it might change.  In a big yellow box, it said "9-19".  Ordered it, then got confirmation email stating it should arrive at 9-19.   Seems like all should be good, right?  Order site said 9-19, I've got a confirmation email saying 9-19, done and done.
    Then I check the website, and suddenly it changed to 10-14?!?!?!?  I feel like this was a bait and switch.  I was able to pickup an iphone5 in a local store on launch day, and would not have locked myself into a preorder through Verizon if I had known this would happen!
    So, that leads back to the original questions.  Lets assume I walk into a Verizon store on 9-19, and there is an available iphone6 plus just sitting there, can I either get that phone as fulfillment of my pre-order.  Or, cancel my pre-order and buy that phone right then and there?

  • Cancelled pre-order and walked into AT&T and got phone

    Today, I cancelled my pre-order for my iPhone 4s 64gb AT&T black model.  I was then able to walk into an AT&T store and pick up the exact same model (5 days after the original shipment).
    The number one reason is because I do believe there is a lack of communication and openness about what is going.  I'm an silver reward member and spend a lot of money with best buy but stuff like this makes me want to reconsider where I send my money.
    IMHO, what I think happened is that they had a glitch or something on the 64gb model sku and didn't properly get their order in with Apple.  Which is why they didn't receive ANY.   It doesn't make any sense that AT&T has a surplus of the model and Best Buy had NONE in the exact same city.
    Based upon that, I think they are now going to have to wait for the "second round" of phone shipments and my guess that is 4-6 weeks out.
    I also don't buy they don't know when they will get them.  Actually, they do know (or can find out).  They can call Apple up and say when is my next shipment supposed to be in (just like I'm asking best buy).   Apple (or whoever is the ultimate supplier) would have to be able to supply Best Buy with the info they need to inform their customers.  That's why I think it's the more likely case that they screwed up their order with Apple on the 64gb models and didn't get it in properly (or on time).  Or worse yet, they aren't actively calling Apple up and asking for shipment dates and order dates.

    We are picking ours up from Apple today.  Ours were the 16g white and 32g black, #1 and #2 preorders for Verizon phones.  They supposedly got a shipment yesterday but we didn't get an email once they were scanned. They are not that rare. My guess is they didn't get any for Verizon (just like Sprint).
    I agree with the lack of communication.  I'd wait it our if they told the truth and even through in an extra set of earbuds or something.  Geez, we're silver members too (my husband wanted to get teh points from this sale). Oh well, ,hopefully they will learn from this experience.

    So i'm looking to pre-order on the 3rd (like everyone else is, it seems lol), and I had a question: if we pre-order on the 3rd, when will it ship? Same Day? And if so, does that mean we should be looking to receive it on Saturday the 5th (if we choose 2 day fed ex)? Or will we receive it on Monday the 7th, or even later? I only ask because I know it has to be signed for, and I'd like to have it shipped to my work, but if it's going to arrive on a Saturday, I'd want to have it delivered to my house (since my office will be closed on Saturday).
