Business process tab in Equipment master
Dear All,
I need to settle the cost to the business process ,but iam not able to see the business process in the equipment or funtional location mastet to copy automaically in the order for settling purpose.

I don't think there is a standard field in equipment /FL for this.
You could use the Class / Characteristic functionality to assign the same to equipment master.You can then use the user exit "IWO10027 Generate user-specific settlement rule" to read this assign the same to order.

1. When I configured waaranty as below
Spro>PM>Warranties>Define warranty types>Activate checkbox for order and notification
I noticed a column D.Box.Inv on top of order and notification checkbox. Would like to know what is this box for and what is the use
2.I have created material serial IQ01 , it created equipment automatically . When I created notification for the equipment it showed me the warranty dialog box. I want to know how warranty work for material/serial numbers. What other std SAP warranty functionality is available for material/serial number example such as inventory area and how it is used.

System status and configuration tab in equipment master.
Hi,
Will some one expalin following points.
1.Can we add / modify system status in configuration.-if yes path for the same.
2.Is system status linked to user status-if yes path for the same.If no on whhich basic system status is changed .
3.What is use of configuration data tab in equipment master.Is this required for creating work order,notification ,task list etc.Is their any link between equipment master and material master.

1. Yes you can add modify system status using transaction BS22. However these are system delivered functionality and its not advisable to change these.
2.Its the other way around. User status can be linked to system status through the configuration for user status.Double lick on the user status definition to reach the system status dependencies editor in transaction OIBS.
3. Equipment master and material master can be linked either through serial number functionality (Material number + serial number = Equipment number) or through the "Construct" field(Structure tab) in the equipment master. The configuration data tab is used to link equipment master to a pre-existing variant of material. Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>Technical Objects>Equipment>Equipment Categories-->Define Additional Business Views for Equipment Categories
Then Select the Equipment Category for which you want deactivate the Sale and Distr. View and Uncheck or Unmark the "S" Column Check box

Adding and deleting additional tab in Equipment master
Hi,
I tried to add some extra tab in the equipment master ...by getting into set view profiles and clicked the equipment group and also click the activity and layout of views in left and added the warrant and given 110 also...then i did clicked in icons and text of views but it is no showing in IE01...also it shows some other tab which i dont want to maintain...I tried to delete the other option from view profiles...but still i am seeing the other tab in ie01.
can anyone tell me how to add and also how to delete the view profiles?

Pls check both these steps are followed by u
1. Master Data in PM & CS>Gen Data > Set View Profiles for Tech Objects>Screen grp eq data .Create the View profile by adding/deleting the tab page u want
2. Now assign this view profile in the following step
Tech Objects>Equipment>Equipment Categories>Maintain Eq Category .Here u can enter this view profile.I assume this step might be missing in ur config

Equipment master data : address in "Location" tab
Hi experts,
Can someone tell me what the "address" data (in equipment master data, "Location" tab) are for?
What is an example of business case which will use that "address"?

It is the same address data that is available on equipment header (Ctrl+F5). It could be the address of where the equipment is located or where it operates. Alternatively it might be the contact details for the equipment owner or maintenance company.
It is similar to maintaining partners but you can use it as suits the business requirements.

Business Process Repository is sometimes confusing on transaction tab
I am Using SOLAR01. While creating scenarios and especially business processes by using BPR content, sometimes no transactions are listed in transactions TAB for a business process, but transactions are listed in business process steps. And in contrast sometimes the transactions are listed on Business process level and missing in Business process steps. This is confusing.
We are using SOLMAN 4.0 with ST-ICO-150 content.
An ECC6 system is assigned to project.
For example:
I choose as scenario 'Procurement and Logistics execution process for ERP' from standard BPR content.
System provides me a huge list of Business Processes.
I activate Business process 'Outbound process with WM' and goto Transactions tab. I see no transactions. But Process steps are included like 'Create Delivery' and on steps level there are transactions listed.
Same thing with most of the business processes in this standard BPR derived scenario.
Another example in contrast (for same BPR derived scenario):
I activate Business process 'Purchase Requisition with Service Directories' and goto Transactions tab. I see MANY transactions. Process steps are included like 'Release purchase requisition' and on steps level there are NO transactions listed.
In fact, the cases when transactions are available on Business process level have 'Execute' icon before the BP name in the structure tree on left-hand side area.
Can somebody explain me, why transactions from BPR content are assigned sometimes on BP level and sometimes on BP step level. In my opinion they should be on both levels. BP level should contain all transactions and BP step level only those transaction relevant for that step.

We are using the BPR content to develop process flows using ARIS for NetWeaver. Our experience is very similar to yours, to the extent that we hired an SAP consultant to help us map transactions back down to the process steps.
In the end, the value of the BPR is diminished if the transactions are not properly mapped to the process steps. We have found very few SAP experts who are even aware of the BPR (this includes actual SAP staff), but all are familiar with the transactions required to run the software. For an architect looking to have business processes designed with referenced objects the BPR is invaluable. How I long for the days of the ASAP R/3 reference model!

Can anybody advise me any tips in preparing a Business Process Master List. I have got all the transactions to be listed. I just want to know how to start and work on. I am working on Source to Pay (MM) BPML. Any template or any useful info is welcomed.

In the link, as a prerequisite, it is mentioned that BPML has to be created as a report from Q&A DB but i dont have any Q&A db.
So, if i need to create a BPML report, is it just an excel sheet report which includes all the transactions??
If i am right, please let me know. I will first draft a report with all the transactions. And then, please try to guide me what afterwards...i mean how everything is linked etc.

I have solved my by following the below logic.
We have to get the value of ILOAN Number from EQUZ table, then pass the value and Execute ILOA table where in we can get the ADRNR Number.
Address Number should be passed to ADRC Table to get the address details of the consumer.

Creation of Equipment master throught Emigall
Hi Fritz,
Good Day!
I need to create a Emigall object for Equipment Master, which we can't
handle in LSMW because of the volume of data, I am using the same object as
used for Device of ISU.
The object name is EQUIPMENT in company ZISU. I have used those fileds only
which are required to create a equipmetn master in STW. While uploading the
data I am getting an error " Enter a valid device category" which is a
device category of ISU.
Can we do this or do we need to create some other customization in this case

Please use LSMW in loading euipment master using the Basic type EQUIPMENT_CREATE01 and assign the source legacy file.You can use the message type EQUIPMENT_CHANGE01 to change it.See in WE02 BD87 the stus whether it has been posted or not.
Since your data would be going to non sap that means you have to create partner profile for outbound processing and also activate the port(WE21) for outbound processing.
If your client is intilligent enoough and also big than if it has an ETL tool than extraction from spreadsheet in the form of idoc would be much easier and would cut short the time consumed in writing large programs .However the business needs to have an existing legacy system and you try to convert data .
Please do revert back incase of any issues.

We need to create equipment master for a material while issuing the material, i.e while saving the Goods Issue for that material.
The material is not serialised. Are there any BAPI's or a BADI which I can use to accomplish the desired functionality. Are there any exits during MIGO which i can use. Please help.

Go to SPRO.
Logistics Execution
Transportation
Shipment cost
Shipment cost document
Shipment cost type and Item category.
For the shipment cost item category you are processing, lets say standard 0001 (Transportation costs). double click on it.
You will find all you need in the tab SETTLEMENT.
There, there is a field GENERATE PO.
Select one of the options:
Do not generate purchase order
A Generate purchase order for validity period of 1 day
B Generate purchase order for validity period of 1 week
C Generate purchase order for validity period of 1 month
Once the shipment cost is created and transfered to MM(settled), if there no open PO for the carrier, the system creates one.

Activity-Based Costing component.

1. Check the master data settings of process 300900 in CP02. In the "Allocation" tab. all the necessory settings are maintained such as process diriver and defalut values like cost element, actvity allocation (should be "1" i.e. manual entry in your case)
2. Maintain the planning data for this business process through CP26 for year 2008.
