Can's connect to itunes store.  I have had this problem for a while.  My computes says there is something wrong with the network, but the network is up and running fine.

I want to buy music from the iTunes store, but when I try to connect it says that there is a network problem.  My network is connected and up and running fine.  I went throught the steps of my norton software (2008) like the system told me and I still can't connect the same message appears.  Can someone help me discover and fix this issue.  I do not want to take my computer to best buy and pay a bundle of money.

I am having the same issue.  I cannot connect at all the the ITunes store.  I can do certain things on ITunes, but it is not working correctly.  I, too, have followed all troubleshooting instructions, but no success.  I can hook up my Ipod and Ipad 2.  it is able to download and update applications, but unable to backup on my computer.  I hope there are some answers soon.

    Good afternoon all
I have been unable  to connect to the iTunes store for 3 days. I have read everything there is to read on line and I have tried hard resets etc but to no avail. Does anyone else have this problem and could it be a server fault (I am in the UK)
Any help or new ideas would be very much appreciated
    Thank you in advance

If you have posted about this previously, I may have answered already, but there is also another discussion about this going on currently and you can see if there is anything new in it that you haven't tried already.

Make sure Norton has all the most recent updates. Then go into Norton, delete iTunes from the allowed programs, and save the Norton settings and close Norton.
Then go back into Norton and add iTunes like it is a new program, and save the settings.
This has worked for lots of folks.

  • I have the IPhone4 and I have tried to update to IOS but it says there is something wrong with the phone?

I keep trying to update but a little box pops up and says it wont allow me. Also before i try to update it says to transfer my apps on to Itunes, how can i do that!? Please help.

Syncing your phone should transfer everything where it needs to go.
What exactly is the error message you get?  You may need to restore the phone before updating.
First be sure you have synced and there is a backup.  To be sure there is a backup, you can right-click on the iPhone in the left navigation under Devices and select "Backup"
Second, click "Restore" and follow the prompts
Third, select the most recent backup from which to restore the phone.
    Fourth, sync the phone.
    Fifth, try updating again.
    Good luck!

    Hi Gammer576775!
Here is an article that will help you troubleshoot this issue with your iPod touch:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2771
Will not power on, or will not turn on unless connected to power
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Connect the iPod touch to an Apple USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if the display turns on and…
The home screen appears, the device should be working. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen: . Then disconnect the device from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears even after the iPod touch has charged for at least 20 minutes: See the "iPod touch displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or low-battery image appears , continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPod touch did not turn on, reset it while connected to an Apple USB power adapter. If the display turns on, go to step 4.If the display remains black, go to the next step.
Restore the device. Connect it to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes it and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPod touch. If the device doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring it, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPod touch resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring it did not solve the issue, seek service.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Power cycle the router.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I have plugged ipad to itunes and synced it.
Apple ID on ipad is showing as mine but when i try to download apps, it says can not connect to itunes store.
i definately have wifi acess as facebook is working.
    please help

    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.
