CAN WE MAINTAIN VENDOR RATING IN Q.M

Hi GURUS,
Is it possible to maintain vendor rating in Q.M.
We have 5 Quality parameters for rating each vendor for particular material, with these parameters my client wants to rate the vendors.
Regards
Ram

Hi Shyamal,
Our scenario is like this,we have five materials for which we have 5 M.I.cs like Fe,Moisture,Fines,Carbon and Sulpur. for these M.I.Cs we have weightage as 50,20,10,10,10 respectively.
Foe Example M.I.C Fe the weightage is as follows.
Fe             weightage
>= 87           =   50
86 to 86.9     =   45
85 to 85.9     =   40
< 84             =   25
the above procedure is followed for the other M.I.Cs and based on the weightage all five M.I.Cs a vendor rating is decided as follows
GOOD                =90 AND ABOVE
SATISFACTORY = 75 TO 89
POOR                = BELOW 75
How can we map this map this scenario,
Regards

  • RE: where can I maintain Vendor Article number

    HI,
In SD, I can maintained the customer article number.
In MM, where can I maintain the vendor article number.
There is a field in Purchase info record.
Beside here, where else can I set it up?
    Thanks
    Bye

    Dear Colin,
The vendor article number can be maintained either in info.record OR the purhcase order.  In the info.record, you can find this in vendor data tab under General data. On the other hand in the purhcase order, you can find the same field in the material data tab in the "item details" section.
If you maintain the vendor article number in the info.record, then it is copied to the purchase order automatically.

  • How can i maintain conditions for vendor sub-ranges

    Hi All,
How can i maintain conditions for vendor sub-ranges. These conditions apply to all materials from vendor's sub-range.
Eg: vendor X has the two subranges R1 & R2. I want to maintain separate conditions for R1 & R2. When ever i created PO with ref to particular subrange that Vendor conditions has to be appeared.
    How can i achieve this?
    Could u pls suggest?
    Thanks & Regards
    Anilkumar Dalai

    Hi,
First Create a Condition Table with field "Vendor sub-range" in M/03
Then create an Access Sequence using this Condition Table in M/07
Then assign this Access Sequence in the Gross Price Condition Type in M/06
Then assign this Condition type in Calculation Schema in M/08
Then maintain condition record for this condition type in MEK1
And then select the appropriate VSR Code in ME21N and check the Pricing.

  • Regarding Vendor Rating.

Pls any one can help me how to capture Vendor Rating for Quality.
I have the requirement for accepted with Deviation.
if accepted it is considered as 100 score
if rejected it is consideredsas 1 score
but it the Lot size is some thing more Then One.
Here, let us assume that Lot size is 10 no's
    out of which i accepted 4 No's
    and rejected                 3 No's
and accpeted with Deviation is 2.
and 1 No's is in Hold.
what should be the score and UD code.
i mean to say is i want to Decide the Q Score according to the Vendor and Quatity posted .
    pls help me
    thanks in advance.
    Kumar.

    Hi
A quality score can be derived from the:
    Usage decision
Share of defects in the lot
Share of defects for the characteristics
    Quality score for the characteristics
You can use share of defects in the lot procedure .AssignQ score procedure " quality score from share of scrap" in material master
This procedure calculates the quality score using the share of scrap in the inspection lot:
                           I_KQD_MAX         Share of scrap
    E_KQD = I_KQD_MAX * (--) ** (-(--
    - 1) ** 2)
                         Limiting val.       Predef. share
with I_KQD_MAX               Maximum QSc from vendor evaluation
Limiting value          Lower limit for good quality in QM
Share of scrap          Estimated share of scrap in inspection lot
Predef. share           Predefined share of scrap from QM
                                   inspection data
If it does not meet your requirement, create your own function module ,create new Q score procedure in spro and assin new function module to this procedure.

  • Can we maintain Letter of credit in sap

You can map the Import cycle in SAP. The standard business practices in SAP are
    1. Create the Import pricing procedure with all necessary import conditions like customs duty, CVD, Landing cost, handling charges, Freight charges etc. Assign it to the schema group & inturn to Pur. organisation.
2.Create the import vendor master record.Assign the import schema group to this vendor. So that while creating import PO for this venor, the system will determine the import conditions.
3.Create the Import Po with Zero tax code & also with req Payment terms.
4.Enter the Customs vendor against the Customs & CVD conditions. Also maintain Freight vendor against freight conditions in the PO itself.
5.Do the MIRO for Customs vendor. Enter manually all the details in MIRO take the ref as a Bill of entry,
5.Do the MIGO for PO, Capture the excise & post the doc. As per Indian Govt Excise rule, you can take the credit of CVD as Excise.
    6.Post the Excise doc.
7.Do the MIRO for material vendor.
    8.Clear the Payment.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Why PR department can see invited vendor list for RFQ

I found that PR department can see invited vendor list for RFQ in PR Document Status tab.  In my company, invited vendor list should be kept confidential and only authorized persons can access.   As PR authorizatin control is not down to PR creator, this information may be disclosed to other non-related persons wihtin same purhasing group.   In SAP,  I would like to know the rationale to let the PR department know the RFQ vendors.    Moerover, I want to understand the current industrial practice on treating RFQ vendor list information so that I can make recommendation for senior review.   Thanks in advance

    Hi,
You issue well explained the 50% of solution. As you said importance for all organization to have secured and efficient authorization concept. Based on organizational structures and business processes an authorization matrix( is just working sheet) is very useful for to control all t.codes under Module / Business role specific.
    For example:
    Purchase Requisition (internal purchasing document) is a request by any department to purchasing department to supply material or provides service. Only here user(Mr.X) in department create PR(ME51N) and Department head (Mr.Y) release (ME54N)the Purchase Requisition(PR). For change PR , you can use Mr.X and you can have another User ID Mr.Z { Mr.X, Mr.Y & Mr.Z should not have access for RFQ or PO details}
Once Purchase Requisition released, then its responsibility purchasing organisation or respective purchasing group (buyer) , start work on determining source by sending Request for quotation(RFQ,ME41) to different vendors by Mr.A. Once all quotation received, you can maintain quotation in ME47 by user Mr.B. In vendor selection process, you can compare quotation in ME49 by user Mr.C.( also you can set approval process for Request for quotation ME45 by Mr.D) {Mr.A, Mr.B,Mr.C,Mr.D may have access on PR but no access on PO)
    Once Vendor decided, user (Mr.E) can create Purchase Order (PO )and then it will be released by Mr.F, so then only PO print send to vendor. {Mr.E & Mr.F have access on PR & PO}
Likewise you should have different users for authorisation based on role in inventory management ( Mr. G can receive goods, Mr.H can have authorisation for Excises, Mr.J can have issuing goods)

  • Vendor rating system?

    Dear Gurus,
how do we plan for a vendor rating system and move about?
    Thanks..

    Hi
There are several point , firstly whether the vendor is ISO
certified or TS certified , vendor assessment , rejection
trend analysis in a month, debit trend analysis in a
month,On time delivery analysis , dependence on local
transport, Documentations maintained, Yearly discounts on
    bulk quantity orders etc.
A chart is prepared for all these activities in horizontals
and in verticals the vendors names are written and then the
rating is done on a 6 point scale or 1 point scale.

  • Vendor rating - Demerit factor

    Hi Friends,
In vendor rating, 3 evaluation criterian are followed namely, quality(Q), delivery (D) & service (S).
Now the vendor rating becomes, VRx = (QDS) .
In this above rating, our client wants to multiply by using demerit factor.
    a.     Demerit-factor-1 (Rejections in shop) on Quality , Delivery and Service.
    b.     Demerit-factor-2 (Rejections in  site) on Quality , Delivery and Service
    Then vendor rating becomes,
VRx = (QDS) * Demerit factor.
    How can I address this.
    Munna.

    Hi,
Demerit factor is nothing but multiplication factor which vendor decides based on the rejection of goods supplied by the vendor ( after acceptance by quality, it is rejected at shop floor).
If there is no rejection then Demerit facto is 1.  So vendor gets full rating.  If the demerit factor is 0.9, he will get 90% of the vendor rating.
I hope it clarifies the requirement.  Kindly let me know if you still you could not able to get it.

  • Maintain Vendor in more than 1 language

After ECC 6.0, need to login under "EN", before was "ZH".
Is it possible to maintain the same vendor code in more than 1 language?
In ME21N, the language at the header uses the default from LFA1.
Had anybody been through this scenarios before?
    Please advice.
    Thanks

    Hi Colin Cheong
There are 2 ways of solving this
    1) you can still login with "ZH" .
    go to Tcode:SU01
    Click on Defaults Tab
Then you see "Logon Language"  - Click on the dropm down icons - you can see "ZH- Chinese"
    2) You can maintain vendors in different langauge
press XK02 TCODE and on the first screen click on "Adress icon"
You will see an icon " Internal Version.
Click the language and maintain it
    Hope this helps you
    Regards
    Amey
