Cancelling Work orders - Reservation

When the work orders are being CANCELLED, the Reservations are not being deleted.  Is there any way to automatically cancel the Reservation when the work orders are being cancelled.

i've got related question about cancellation for maintenance orders in IW32..
I am confused on what is enabling availability of some 'cancellation' functions in order menu like Do Not Execute, Deletion Flag set in??
It's greyed out  under any system statuses, only LOCK is active.. In particular, I checked "mark for deletion" business process is "green', so it should allow to set deletion flag.. 
I tried to enable 'mark for deletion'  business transaction in user status profile-it didn't work out, still greyed in IW32..
tried to set DLFL in SARA, but I never used archiving before, so didn't work for me yet..
In IW22 setting/resetting DLFL works just fine
I just stabbed on it while trying to figure out, whether setting DLFL for order will automatically set DLFL for notification, I was assuming it won't, is that right assumption?

    Hello Goldie,
    you have to update field AFVC-TXTSP with the language in which you have created the text with SAVE_TEXT. Key of the AFVC are AUFPL and APLZL - the same you use to create the longtext. In IW37 only a "X" will be show, if a longtext has been maintained.

    You can try the correction program
    Go to SE38
    give program name :RM06C020
    Give the reservation numbers
    click check bom select reservation
    check direct database update and execute.
    This will delete the reservations from the database.
    THIS SHOULD BE DONE CAREFULLY and test in your test system and proceed
    I have done PR deletion . but i have not done for reservations

  • Material Reservation Process for Work Order

    I am new to the Plant Maintenance work order and material reservation process.
    Here is my scenario:
    I create a work order with a material that is maintained in WM and IM.
    Reservation is created.
    I got to MB26 to post goods issue
    Once I do this I see the qty of material moved as a negative amount to storage type 914 in IM (LS26) and stock removed out of WM (MMBE).
    Is this where the business process stops?
    Do I ever remove the stock out of 914?
    Does the material go from 914 to 916 and then get cleared out of inventory?

  • Work Order Serialized Component Reservation

    Can I enter a serialized part on a Work Order?  We are a manufacturing company and have many parts in Stores that we plan to serialize.  When a part (eg. motor) on the shopfloor breaks a Work Order will be written to replace the motor with a refurbished, serialized one in Stores.  I need to be able to issue that part.   The Work Order let me enter it under Components, but when I ran MB26 to release the reservation and Issue the part, it said I needed to enter a Serial Number.  However, there's no where on MB26 or on IW31/IW32 to enter a Serial Number.  Where's the right place and/or what's the right process for this?

    If I understand you correctly, you are looking for a field to enter serial number in work order, if so, then please configure the subscreen of reference object.
    SPRO
      -> Plant Maintenance and Customer Service
       -> Maintenance and Service Processing
         -> Maintenance and Service Orders
          -> Functions and Settings for Order Types
    Configure Order Types
    in the bottom of screen in detial order type, there is a field Screen RefObject
    you can select reference object screen which contains serial number field.

    Here is the issue:
    I tried to buy Premiere Pro but when I submitted an order it didn't process automatically - it said I had to wait until "working hours" for it to be processed.  And then I had an email saying it would be dealt with in 24 hours.  It has not been.  So then I was directed to a forum to cancel my order?
    Your storemanager email address does not work!
    Shocked at how bad this set up is for a company such as Adobe....

    WIP 사용자 중 Canceled status의 Discrete Jobs이나 WIP Work Orders를 purge
    하길 원하는 user가 있다.
    하지만 standard form은 closed discrete jobs만을 purge 할 수 있다.
    WIP user manual에 따르면 현재 closed 된 accounting period 안에서 closed 된
    discrete jobs에 대한 정보만을 purge 할 수 있다고 되어 있다.
    다음은 이에 대한 work around 이다.
    Solution
    Work Around:
    1. WIP: Discrete> Close Discrete Jobs> Close Discrete Jobs(Form)으로 이동한다.
    2. Find Discrete Jobs parameter에 아래와 같이 입력한다.
    From Job = Close를 원하는 Job
    To Job = Close를 원하는 Job
    Status = Canceled
    3. Tools menu에서 Close 1을 선택한다.
    Close 1을 선택하면 canceled Discrete Job이 closed 가 된다.
    이 때 job number를 기억하고 note 해 둔다.
    4. GL과 Inventory Accounting periods가 close가 될 때, canceled discrete jobs
    (현재는 closed 상태)를 Purge Job form을 이용하여 purge 할 수 있다.
    WIP: Discrete> Purge Discrete Jobs> Purge Discrete Josb from or SRS

    Is there a way to prevent returning more quantity (262 movement type done within MB1A) than was issued (261 movement type done within MIGO_GI) against a maintenance work order component?

    Hi,
    Movement Types 261 and 262 works in Planned as well as in Unplanned both ways.
    If you do Goods Issue w.r.t. Maintenance/Work Order (Movement Type - 261) then components and their quantity get defaulted from the reservation created automatically during order creation and system does not allow us to issue more that the quantity in reservation.
    Similarly when you cancel the Goods Issue Document then it hits Movement Type 262 automatically and does not allow to edit the quantity.
    The above two processes are planned ways.
    Now when you want to do extra consumption of components against Maintenance/Work Order then you do not do Goods Issue > Order, instead of this you do Goods Issue > Others and then specify all the necessary details manually (Like; material, quantity, etc...) and enter Maintenance/Work Order as an Account Assignment on which the cost is getting loaded.
    Similarly when you are receiving materials from Maintenance/Work Order using option Goods Receipt > Others then here also there is no control and you can receive any quantity from Maintenance/Work Order since here also Maintenance/Work Order is working as an account assignment not a control document.
    The above two processes are unplanned ways.
    So in short, there is not any control on this movement when it is unplanned.

    I need to cover the following scenario:
    *sometimes, when the client carries out a work, they recover one item. Ideally they want to take into consideration this item as well from a point of view of costs, which means that in order to carry our the work some items and labour will be used and it will be considered as a cost but the item recovered will be considered as less cost (profit). In customizing (plant maitenance -->Maitenance and service orders --> General data -->define movement types for material reservations) that it is possible to customize the movement type to be used in case of reservations (goods issues and cancellation of goods issues). I have checked that if I change the customizing and I put 262 instead of 261, the system behaves as desired. The thing is that this affects to all the components and this is not correct. Therefore, from the work order (IW32 or IW31) I have tried to change the movement type manually, but I found that the field movement type (at component level for items L, field RESBD-BWART) is grey and it can not be changed.
    Therefore, my question is:
    *how to customize field RESBD-BWART so that I can change whenever I create or change a work order
    *which is the meaning of having cancellation of goods issue in the customizing if then I only can use movement 261.
    On the other hand, I have checked the functionality "refurbishment" but I doesn't fit because we have to use valuation type and this is not desired....

    Hi,
      The materials that you are entering in the component tab are "Planned" materials that you may use during the execution of the order. In your case i don't see the necessity to enter it here, You could directly do a Return goods issue against the order using movement type 262, for that specific material.This should solve your needs.

    1) if parts have been reserved in a work order, what is the method of converting those parts to confirmations?
    2) Is there any report which shows parts that have been reserved on work orders ? Or any way to see this?

    For reservation confirmations got to IW42, it will automatically take movement type 261.
    For reservations, goto IW40 and select layout view, there you will get option for Reservations.

    Please use the following steps as reference:
    1.Go to T-Code pfcg
    2.Create a Role by giving a name say “ZPSTEST”
    3.Click on Authorization tab
    4.You will be asked to save the profile first
    5.Go to “ Change authorization data”
    6.Choose “SAP_ALL” and adopt reference.
    7.Confirm “ Yes” to insert all authorization
    8.Go and expand the link “project system”
    9.Expand the link “ PS: Project Manager for Project Definition”
    10.Here you will see two fields “ Activity for Authorization che” and Number of responsible per”
    11.Click on change button on the first field.
    12.Here click on “Cancel full authorization”
    13.Now, here you can choose what all functions you want to assign for this authorization Role.
    14.Choose say “ Display” and save
    15.Click on “ Number of responsible person” and choose any person , say “ XYZ”
    16.Now the authorization role is ready. This setting will ensure that any person who is assigned this role will only be able to “Display” the projects , if the responsible person is “XYZ”
    17.Go back to the pervious screen. In the process” Generate” the profile also.
    18.Once you are in “Change Roles” Screen, go to tab “USER”. Here you can assign this role ZPSTEST to various users.

  • Tracking the component changes - Open work order

    We have been using special work order type, it is an open work orders. Was created for adding the small consumable and do the time writing for small jobs. The users are instructed to use only for consumable material and time writing job. But how ever the user who have acces to change the workorder are adding those material with high value. I want to trach who has ordered this changes is there any standard way to check the order.
    If any changes made to the component list it will display the same reservation number which the warehouse will issue the goods, I would like to know each time item added to the component list by different user there ID or the name i should find.

    Yes we can see the material reserverd against the person who is taking the material from the warehouse.
    But the issue is while adding the material in the work order does not show who is the person adding the material to the workorder, it will go to the person who created the workorder to the same reservation.
    For my issue is there any standard way or we have to go for development please let me know.

  • Material Availability check during work order creation and Release

    We are checking material availability at creation as well as release
    Say we have Material XYZ=100 in stock MMBE
    Now XYZ =100 is say at normal storage location =75
    and scrap storage location=05 and serviceable =20
    Currently when availability check is performed it checks for 95 (It excludes scrap storage location 05 )
    but we want  Availability check to be only for normal stock =75 and not for Serviceable and Scrap location
    how to do this in configuration or via exits
    Since if the material is under Scrap location it is not counting in Availability check at work order creation this logic is working fine but I do know from where this control is put that when the material is in the stock of scrap it is not counting in Availability check for work orders.Same thing I want to extend it to Serviceable stock .
    Why not it is consider it for Scrap storage location , what is config or any MM enhancement
    So that when Availability check run it will not consider Materials at SCRAP as well as SERVISABLE storage location also.

    There are two option for your requiement
    1. Changing the status of the servisable storage location stock to restricted use stock . You can include or exclude this stock status material in OPJJ. This solution is not storage location dependent. It is stock status dependent.
    2. Please refer the enhancement for the storage location determination. I am not sure about this funtionality:
    For production orders the following enhancement is available:
    PPCO0005 enhancement for storage loc. determination/backflushing
    You can use this enhancement to change the storage location and the indicator 'backflushing' in the reservation.
    The enhancement PPCO0005 contains the following enhancement components:
    Function exit
    EXIT_SAPLCOSD_001 storage location determination/backflushing
    You can find the description in modification text of the function exit.
    You can find an example of the user exit in the function group XC01 in the include LXCO1F05.
