CANNOT CONNECT A SECOND NANO TOSAME COMPUTER

I'm having a terrible time installing and setting up a second Nano to same computer.
First Nano was installed at Christmas (last year) and works fine; the new Nano (from Christmas this year); the software will not install and the music doesn't show up on the new Nano.
I have Windows XP and using "Windows Media Player I've tried "Syncing" the music files from my Windows Media Player library to the new Nano and I've tried "Copying/Pasting" the music files from Windows Explorer to the new Nano. When I open the Windows Explorer and click on the drive for the Nano (on my computer it's Drive-E) the music files are there, but the music files DO NOT appear on the Nano's display screen nor will the Nano play the music. I'm sure this has something to do with installing the new Nano's software and I'm at a complete loss as to what to do.
This is all so frustrating; I cannot understand why Apple makes these things so complicated; my youngest daughter is broken hearted because she cannot enjoy her Nano like her older sister. I feel totally helpless!!! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME???

Thank you KaeBFly for your feed back. I understand about syncing from Windows Media Player now. I actually tried that only as a last resort and found that it didn't work either. I first tried downloading the software for iTunes 7 and it didn't work. I'm wondering if I should first delete the software that was loaded with last year's iPod (Gen 1 model) and then download the iTunes 7, or is it possible to use the iTunes that was loaded onto the computer (with last year's Gen 1 Nano) with this year's new Gen 2 Nano.

Typically this indicates a device that has been hacked to be unlocked or jailbroken.
If that is the case, no support can be provided here.

Cannot connect to wifi on desktop computer w/ Windows Vista

So as stated above, I cannot connect to the Airport Extreme wifi with my Sony Vaio desktop computer. My iMac, iPhone, PS Vita, and all other device can connect to it easily, but when trying to connect to the internet using my Sony Vaio desktop, I cannot. At first it showed up on the list of available connections, but then after calling TWC, they did something and it let it connect to the internet "with limited access". But after my father tinkered with it to try and give the computer full access, it cannot connect again.
In short: My Sony Vaio desktop computer running Windows Vista cannot connect to my Airport Extreme. So could anyone please help?

Did you try plugging in by ethernet?? Just to be sure there wasn't some fundamental issue.
If it works by ethernet and not wireless, then this is not at all unusual. Vista has the worst wireless drivers ever developed along with the worst wireless management.. an upgrade to XP or Win7 is strongly encouraged. .either direction is an upgrade.
Make sure the AE has all SMB compatible names..
Short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric. Do not use apple names with spaces and apostrophe.
Use wpa2 Personal security with a password of 10-20 characters again pure alphanumeric.
Use fixed wireless channels, try 1, 6, 11 in turn.
No improvement download the latest intel drivers (or whatever wireless card your laptop uses) direct from Intel. If that doesn't work try some earlier releases.. not always the latest is bestest.

Remote assistance cannot connect to my friend's computer

I have tried MANY times to make a connecting to my friend's computer using remote assistance. I have gone through the helps and trouble shooting areas of my computer. When I would take my computer to her home, I was able to access her computer by remote assistance, but when I get back to my house, it says that it cannot connect with her computer. Any help and or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. I have used HP computers for years, but have never had the need to use the remote assistance until recently.

Its not a port issue.
XP requires a registry edit to connect to Server 2008 & Windows 7 computers. Windows XP does not by default accept and create NLA connection which is what Win 7 requires.
By default, Network Level Authentication (NLA) is disabled in Windows XP Service Pack 3. To enable NLA, you have to turn on the Credential Security Service Provider (CredSSP).

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Cannot connect to second SSID on Aironet 1231

I have configure my AP with to SSID (11 & 12), but I cannot connect to 12. It authenticates, and while trying to acquire IP address from 12, it fails and connects me to 11 (if I have already saved the SSID connection).
The following is my AP status:

The SSID 12 already have 4 clients connected, And I am tring to connect a 5th one (smart phone), but cannot connect to 12, instead coneected to 11. Also tried with a laptop, but cant get the IP address, and give Limited Connectivity error.
How can i fix this issue.

I have tested with a client already connected, by disconnecting and reconnecting.
Its just normal on that device, I have also disconnected all, and connected my device, it fails to connect; its mentioned as disabled when we scan for the AP.
This is really every strange, that only some are connected and will be connected, but rest will never ever connect.
Do I have to reset to factory and reconfigure the device.

Cannot Connect a second monitor to HP 500-314PC

I have a new Pavillion 500-314. It has a VGA and DVI-D connector at rear. The comuter will not see my second monitor. I have it conneced with a dedicated line DVI-D to DVI-D. When I switch the monitors , the VGA works on both. One monitor is old and so it is connected to VGA port. The other monitor has both DVI-D and VGA, but I cannot get the DVI-D to work.

Cannot connect to DB from remote computer (ORA-12545)

Please help, I am stumped. I am trying to connect to a database located at my work from at home.
I am running into the following issue (see command and error below):

I have another terminal opened up to a server at work and I can connect to the DB with sqlplus just fine. I verified that the record for this database on the tnsnames.ora file is the same as it is at work.
In conclusion, I can connect to the Database at work, but I cannot at home, even though I am using the same connection information and verified that port 1521 is accessible on this Database server from at home. So why can't I establish a DB connection?
Any ideas?

You are verifying hostname orarac9-scan only. You are not verifying that the hostname supplied by the Oracle SCAN Listener can be resolved by your platform.
As you are connecting to a SCAN listener, it will do its magic (load balancing/round robin/whatever) and return a redirect to your client driver - telling it where to find the service name the client requested.
So your client driver gets a hostname and port in return. It then attempts to connect to that to establish your Oracle client-server session. If the RAC has been setup with the typical RAC hostnames, your client will get hostnames like orarac9-vip1 and orarac9-vip2 returned. Likely as FQDN too.
This means your platform needs to be able to resolve these hostnames. It does not. Thus the error.
In your platform's /etc/hosts file, define the complete list of RAC hostnames (SCAN, Public and VIP hostnames).

Your computer will recognize a new iPod (it won't think this is your old iPod), it'll ask if you want to sync it. If your iPod has enough space to hold all your music, answer yes. If your iPod won't hold all your music and you don't mind iTunes choosing your music for you, answer yes. If you'd rather manually sync the iPod or if you want to sync selected playlists, answer no.

Application cannot connect to second page when oracle is used as database.

I have an application which works on MySql database. But now I need to change the database to oracle. I have installed everything required inorder for the oracle to work. I am using active record store for my application. For that I have created sessions table using
rake db:sessions:create
And I have migrated to my database using
rake db:migrate.
Then I uncommented the following line in environment.rb:
config.action_controller.session_store = :active_record_store
Then If I start my application using IE, First page is shown, when I click on the second page link,
I got HTTP 500 Internal Server Error saying
The website cannot display the page
HTTP 500
Most likely causes:
The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.
What you can try:
Refresh the page.
Go back to the previous page.

I am unable to understand what the problem is. When I comment the line config.action_controller.session_store = :active_record_store application works, but the sessions table is not updated. when I use MySql as my database, everything works fine.
Can someone please help me with the solution? what may be the mistake am doing?

Are you using oracle_enhanced adapter? (activerecord-oracle_enhanced-gem)
Which Rails version are you using?
Can you look in your log file what exception you are getting? (if running in development mode then it should be in log/development.log)

I should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Cannot connect to more than one computer at a time

I have a G4 running on 10.2.8 and up until a few weeks ago worked fine. Now when I try to connect to other computers on our network (imac G5s) it will only connect to one at a time. At a minium I need to connect to 2 at a time from the G4. If someone could give me some help as to doing that...or resetting something that would be great.

double check on the mac addresses that you have saved so that your wireless computers can connect properly to your netwok, or you could just disable the mac filtering so that all of your computers can easily connect, just secure your wireless network
