CC 5.2 - Adding delivered rules as second ruleset

We are in the process of upgrading from CC 5.1 to 5.2.  In addition to carrying over the custom ruleset that we have created for the company, I have been asked to load the delivered rules as a second ruleset, so that the folks in the compliance department can use them for comparison.  I have created rulesets by uploading the 7 files (business_processes.txt, function.txt, risks.txt, etc.) and generating the rules.  I have also created entire rulesets from scratch, but I have never done both in the same system, though I understand it can be done.  The ruleset we are using right now was built from scratch and has been fine-tuned for the company's needs, so I want to keep it intact.  What I would like to know is how I go about uploading the delivered rule files without affecting my existing ruleset.  I've already seen a note that says none of the functions or risks can have the same IDs across rulesets, so I'm prepared to make those changes to the upload files.  Any assistance will be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
You've already considered the main hangup most would encounter with loading another ruleset into CC 5.x-- the need for unique Ids within the elements of the ruleset.
One key item that needs to be specified is the default ruleset because the file upload only uploads into whatever has been specified as the default ruleset.  Your current default ruleset is likely your customized ruleset.  Create a new ruleset to contain the GRC delivered rules, and temporarily set that as your default ruleset.  Perform the upload of the text files (and as you note, a prerequisite is to make sure that all of the business process, function, and risk Ids are unique from what already exists).  You can then switch the default ruleset back to normal and proceed with generating the rules in background.
Note that you'll want to do this at a time when there is very little expected activity in the system as it's pretty likely that end users of CC will not realize that the ruleset is different as they perform ad-hoc analysis.  Also, Access Enforcer risk analysis is always tied to the default ruleset, so for a few minutes at least, if anyone performs risk analysis in AE, they would receive incorrect results.

  • About GRC Delivered Rules

    Hi I'm new to GRC.
    I installed GRC Compliance Collabirator but there is no data in it. No business processes, no functions, no risks though SAP should has provided a lot of delivered rules after installation.
    I have gone through this forum and found the following information:
    "As part of risk analysis and remediation of SAP's GRC Access Control application (formerly Compliance Calibrator), SAP delivers a set of Segregation of Duties rules. This delivered set of rules address many areas, but they are meant to be used as a base and each company must customize the rules for their environment. This is explained in detail in the GRC Access Control - Access Risk Management Guide (available on the Business Process Expert Community) and in SAP Note 986996.
    The current delivered rulest contains the following rules:
    SAP
    256 risks
    44,337 action combinations
    Can anyone tell me how I get these SAP delivered data?
    Thanks&regards
    Stellare

    Hi Stellare,
    the rules and all data for the initial import are delivered with the Compliance Calibrator software.
    There is a ZIP file called "5.2_text_files.zip" which contains all the files.

    Daniela

  • 5.3 upgrade delivered rules vs 5.2 rules

    We recently upgraded to 5.3 and noticed there were delivered rules sent with the software.  Are these rules different than the ones we used in 5.2 because I have role violations but no user violations and I can't figure this out....any advice?
    Regards,
    Greg

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION TO SAP: My 5.2 GRC AC system was upgraded to 5.3 in Oct 09. Since the upgrade, no user violations are showing/updating and I know for certain that the users have been assigned roles with conflicts. I would like to obtain a cleanup script to wipe the Business Process, Function, Function Authorization, Rule Set, and Risk rules so that I may reload them.
    SAP RESPONSE:  Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to provide you scripts to perform the function you want. Doing direct table updates is not something that GRC is able to support at this time. I'm attaching a word document that provides you the table and field names for the application. Your Database Administrator and developers should be able to use this information to develope scripts to accomplish what you require.
    MY RESPONSE: I have asked our DBA to look at the information you sent and he's informed me that he wouldn't know where to begin. Will this script work (script not attached).
    SAP RESPONSE:  I technically can't confirm that this will work. But the tables
    did not change between 5.2 and 5.3.

  • Brazil - SAP Standard Delivered Rule / Config for R/3 ?

    Hi
    I have recently come across an issue with updating a Brazilian employees IT0008 - Basic Pay screen. I was trying to modify the start date of the screen (BEGDA) to reflect a date other than the 1st of the month. When I attempt to do this though I get a hard stop error message.
    I was told that this rule / hard stop error message in R/3 when trying to update IT8 for Brazil employees was as standard delivered SAP rule.
    I am trying to validate if that is the case, and if so if anyone can give me more details on this SAP delivered rule / functionality.
    If it's not a SAP delivered, but something my company has put in place perhaps, is there a way to find out in R/3 where this rule is set-up/referenced in order to remove it potentially to allow for IT8 Begda changes for Brazil ?
    Any help on this matter would be much appreciated and rewarded with points.
    Nicola.

  • Newly Occuring CSS SSL Issue in Chrome, FF10, IE9 with L5 rules; 3 second delay, loss of L5 stickyness

    We recently started suffering an issue with our CSS11501S-K9 units not performing URL stickiness on our SSL wrapped L5 rules.  I've spent dozens of manhours working on the problem, and have quite a bit of information to report, including a solution.  There is a high probability that anybody who uses SSL to an L5 rule on a CSS unit will become affected by this problem over the next few weeks/months as users update their browsers with new SSL patches.
    We hadn't made any changes to our config in months, and eliminated hardware problems by testing a second unit.
    Here are the exact symptoms we saw:
      Browsers affected: Firefox 10, Chrome, IE9, others (and some earlier versions of IE depending on patch levels)
      Browsers not affected: FireFox 3.5, w3m 0.5.2, curl7.19.7
      Impact 1: For SSL Rules backed by L5 rules, the initial response to the first request would be 3 seconds.  Further requests on the same TCP connection would not be delayed
      Impact 2: L5 rules being accessed via SSL would nolonger perform any URL based stickiness.  Accessing the same rule skipping SSL, would work fine
    I focused on the 3 second delay, since that was a new issue and was easier to debug than monitoring multiple servers to see if stickiness was broken.  This is what I found when a client tries to connect to an SSL rule that ultimately is routed to a L5 HTTP rule:
    1. Client/CSS perform initial TLS handshake, crypto cyphers determined (nearly instantly)
    2. Client sends HTTP 1.1 request for resource (nearly instantly)
    3. 3 seconds of no traffic in our out of the CSS related to this request
    4. CSS opens an HTTP connection to backend webserver, backend webserver responds (nearly instantly)
    5. The CSS seems to route to the backend server using the balance method (round-robin) instead of the advanced-balance method (url)
    6. Response is sent to the client with the resource (nearly instantly)
    7. Future requests sent from the browser on the same TCP connection have no delay, but the advanced-balance continues to be ignored
    The 3 seconds is quite an exact figure (within a few milliseconds) and appears to be entirely happening inside of the CSS unit itself, since it does not connect to the backend server until after the 3 seconds elapse.  3 seconds smelled like some sort of internal timeout set in the CSS unit after it gives up waiting for something.
    Looking at the packets from affected browsers I discovered that the GET /foobar HTTP/1.1 request was being broken into two separate TLSv1 application messages, the first was 24 bytes and the second was 400 bytes.  Decrypting these messages I found the first message was a
    G
    and the second message was:
    ET /foobar HTTP/1.1
    This essentially splits the initial request the client is sending into two pieces.  This confuses wireshark so much, it doesn't decode this as a HTTP request, and just decodes it as "continuation or non-HTTP traffic".
    On the working browsers I saw only one TLSv1 application message, decrypting it I saw:
    GET /foobar HTTP/1.1
    (obviously I'm simplifying the contents of the request, there were lots of headers and stuff)
    I am aware that the CSS can't handle L5 rules appropriately if they get fragmented, so I suspected this was the problem.  I pulled a packet trace from a few years ago, and at that time confirmed we never saw a double TLSv1 application messages before.
    A number of openssl vulnerabilities were recently fixed: http://www.ubuntu.com/usn/usn-1357-1
    and browsers may have been recently updated to fix some of these issues, changing the way they encode their traffic.
    Solution:
    Our ssl config looked something like this:
    ssl-proxy-list SSL_ACCEL
      ssl-server 10 vip address XX.XX.XX.XX
      ssl-server 10 rsakey XXXX
      ssl-server 10 cipher rsa-with-3des-ede-cbc-sha XX.XX.XX.XX 80
      ssl-server 10 cipher rsa-with-rc4-128-sha XX.XX.XX.XX 80
      ssl-server 10 cipher rsa-with-rc4-128-md5 XX.XX.XX.XX 80
      ssl-server 10 unclean-shutdown
      ssl-server 10 rsacert XXXXXX
    Removing:
      ssl-server 10 cipher rsa-with-3des-ede-cbc-sha XX.XX.XX.XX 80
    Solves the problem.  After that's removed, the browsers will nolonger fragment the first character of their request into a separate TLSv1 message.  The 3 second delay goes away, and L5 stickiness is fixed.  The "CBC" in the cyper refers to Cypher-Block-Chaining (a great article here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cipher-block_chaining), and breaking the payload into multiple packages may have been an attempt to initialize the IV for encryption -- although I'm really just guessing, I stopped researching once I verified this solution was acceptable.
    This issue became serious enough for us to notice first on Monday Feb 13th 2012. We believe a number of our large customers distributed workstation updates over the weekend.  The customers affected were using IE7, although my personal IE7 test workstation did not appear to be affected.  It's quite possible our customers were going through an SSL proxy.  I suspect as more people upgrade their browsers, this will become a more serious issue for CSS users, and I hope this saves somebody a huge headache and problems with their production environment.
    -Joe

    Hi Joe,
    That's a very good analysis you did.
    As you already suspected, the issue comes from the TLS record fragmentation feature that was introduced in the latest browser versions to overcome a SSL vulnerability (http://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/864643). Unfortunately, similar issues are happening with multiple products.
    For CSS, the bug tracking this issue is CSCtx68270. The development team is actively working on a fix for it, which should be available (in an interim software release, so to get it you wil have to go through TAC) in the next couple of weeks
    In the meantime, as workaround, you can configure the CSS to use only RC4 cyphers (which is what you were suggesting also). These are not affected by the vulnerability, so, browsers don't apply the record fragmentation when they are in use. This workaround has been tested by several customers already, and the results seem to be very positive.

  • [SOLVED]system fails to boot since adding udev rules for automounting

    Hello
    I have recently been trying to use udev rules to automount, and putting together stuff from the wiki, forums and general googling around have produced the following set of rules:
    # automounts usb hdd and pendrives as usbhd-sdx; no messing around with
    # volume labels or other confusing stuff
    # matches all sdx devices except the internal hdd, sda
    KERNEL=="sd[b-z]", NAME="%k", SYMLINK+="usbhd-%k", GROUP="users", OPTIONS="last_rule"
    # imports filesystem information
    ACTION=="add", IMPORT{program}="/sbin/blkid -o udev -p %N"
    # creates mount points and sets up symlinks
    ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", SYMLINK+="usbhd-%k", GROUP="users", NAME="%k"
    ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", RUN+="/bin/mkdir -p /media/usbhd-%k"
    ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", RUN+="/bin/ln -s /media/usbhd-%k /mnt/usbhd-%k"
    # global mount options
    ACTION=="add", ENV{mount_options}="relatime"
    # filesystem-specific mount options (777/666 dir/file perms for ntfs/vfat)
    ACTION=="add", ENV{ID_FS_TYPE}=="vfat|ntfs", ENV{mount_options}="$env{mount_options},gid=100,dmask=000,fmask=111,utf8"
    # automount ntfs filesystem with ntfs-3g driver
    ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", ENV{ID_FS_TYPE}=="ntfs", RUN+="/bin/mount -t ntfs-3g -o %E{mount_options} /dev/%k /media/usbhd-%k", OPTIONS="last_r$
    # automount all other file systems

    # unmounts and removes the mount points
    ACTION=="remove", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", RUN+="/bin/rm -f /mnt/usbhd-%k"
    ACTION=="remove", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", RUN+="/bin/umount -l /media/usbhd-%k"
    ACTION=="remove", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", RUN+="/bin/rmdir /media/usbhd-%k", OPTIONS="last_rule"
    This seemed to be working very well unitl I tried to boot this morning and the boot process stopped at "processing UDev events" with the following message:
    iTCO_wdt: Unexpected close, not stopping watchdog!
    It pauses at this point for 10-15 seconds and then reboots.
    Having searched a bit, I found the following similar post on the forums:  http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=459375
    Which suggests that the problem might lie with this line:
    ACTION=="add", IMPORT{program}="/sbin/blkid -o udev -p %N"
    I have renamed the file so that it no longer has the udev .rules extension and now the system boots fine.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the above rules might be causing this behaviour and how I might go about fixing it?
    Thanks

    Hey falconindy
    That was the final kick up the logical a$$ that I needed to get some kind of grip on udev rules.  I now have a fully functional rule that applies only to /dev/sdxy and not to everything else as well, so no more boot trauma, THANK YOU.
    I will mark this thread as solved and post my new rule for the benefit of anyone who might read this.
    New rule (no boot problems):
    # automounts usb hdd and pendrives as label or as usbhd-sdxy if no label present
    # ensures the following is _only_ run for sdxy devices excluding internal hdd, sda
    KERNEL!="sd[b-z][0-9]", GOTO="personal_usb_automount_settings_end"
    # imports filesystem information
    # provides access to following variables:
    # ID_FS_UUID; ID_FS_UUID_ENC; ID_FS_VERSION; ID_FS_TYPE; ID_FS_VERSION; ID_FS_LABEL
    # accessible via ENV{variable}; $env{variable}|%E{variable}
    IMPORT{program}="/sbin/blkid -o udev -p %N"
    # Get a label if present, otherwise name usbhd-%k
    ENV{ID_FS_LABEL}!="", ENV{dir_name}="%E{ID_FS_LABEL}"

  • Adding and configuring a second hard drive in a Power Mac G4

    I am using a Power Mac G4 with the original 20GB hard drive and running OS 9.2.2.
    I would like to upgrade to 10.4 (Tiger) installing it on a 80 GB Seagate Ultra/ATA 100 which I need to install as a second hard drive.
    This is where my problem arises. From what I have read I cannot install OS 10 on a drive configured as SLAVE. On top of this Apple article ID 106728 has a note not to “change your Apple –installed disc drive to ATA ID-1 (slave) when adding other ATA devices.”
    Is this article correct or am I misunderstanding it? I was hoping I could just install the new drive on top of the original and switch the configurations of the drives making my original drive the SLAVE and the new drive MASTER and just install OS X on the new 80GB drive.
    Or can I put the new drive in the position of my original drive configure it as MASTER and put my original 20GB drive above it and configure it as slave?
    I am hoping someone can let me know if these configurations will work.
    Another question is: If I switch the position of my original drive will I lose access to the data on it?
    I would like to keep the OS systems on separate drives because I need to continue to run my old software and Heidelberg scanner (SCSI, running on LinoColor Elite 5.1 for which updated drivers are not available). This will not be possible in classic. I want OS X on the larger drive as I will be loading updated software eventually and it will become my main OS system.
    Power Mac G4 450GH, 768mb ram (AGP graphics )   Mac OS X (10.4)   Currently running 9.2 and will be upgrading to OS 10.4

    Hi, Thelisa -
    Welcome to Apple's Discussions.
    Is this article correct or am I misunderstanding it?
    Yes, to both - the article is correct, and yes, you seem to be misunderstanding it.
    In the context of the article, "Disc drive" does not mean a hard drive. Earlier in the article it states -
          Solution
          "Disc drive" refers to CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, Combo drives, SuperDrives.
    The reason is that on most (if not all) G4s, an optical drive must be jumpered as Master in order for it to be a bootable drive. So, if an optical drive has been jumpered as Slave, it can not then be used to boot from the OSX Install disk.
    You will need to place the drive to be jumpered as Slave in the top position of the bracket (the drive sled), and the one jumpered as Master in the bottom position of the sled.
    The reason for this is the location of the connectors on the IDE ribbon cable (the data cable) - the one jumpered as Master needs to be attached to the end connector of the cable, and the one jumpered as Slave to the middle connector of the cable.
    Because of the physical limits of the cable itself, the one jumpered as Slave must be on top, else the connectors won't reach to the proper drive.
    Which drive is jumpered as which is your choice, but the one jumpered as Slave must be on top.
    If I switch the position of my original drive will I lose access to the data on it?
    No.
    The designation of Master or Slave is, for the most part, simply to allow the Mac to have a unique physical address for each drive, so it can tell one from the other (this is separate from the pathname addressing that the OS uses). Re-jumpering a drive nor changing its physical location will not affect its contents nor their usability.
    One result that may be important sometime is when the machine in question is set up as the Target machine in a firewire Target Disk Mode arrangement - only the drive jumpered as Master will be visible on the Host machine.

  • ASM disk added without scan on second node

    Hi All ,
    Oracle Version:11.2.0.3
    I need one help for one issue with ASM disk addition.
    It is a two node RAC and one disk group was filled.
    One disk was available as UNUSED001 and so we renamed it ran scan disk  and added the disk to the diskgroup on node1.
    But , as we did not run the scan disk on second node , the name is still showing as UNUSED001 and assigned to diskgroup so showing as MEMBER.
    Also, the renamed disk is also showing as MEMBER but not assigned with any diskgroup.
    Usually, when this heppens we have to reboot the node to fix the issue , but would like to get idea if this can be fixed without bouncing nodes.

    Hi ,
    + Probably that disk addition failed with ORA-15075 as same named device is not visible after renaming of disk.
      As this validation takes place after writing disk header ,it is showing as MEMBER.
    + Get downtime of cluster on 2nd node and run scandisks on 2nd node.
    + Now renamed disk should be showing up on node 2.
    + if showing up ,then validate .
    -- All expected diskgroups were mounted on both nodes or not
    sql> select inst_id,name,state from gv$asm_diskgroup;
    -- If mounted validate that renamed disk group_number and mount_status
    sql> col path for a30
    sql> select inst_id,group_number,path,mount_status from gv$asm_disk;
    + If group_number is 0 and mount_status is CLOSED ,then it is not part of any mounted diskgroup.
      Add that disk again with force option in same diskgroup.
    sql> alter diskgroup <diskgroup_name> add disk 'ORCL:<LABEL_NAME>' force;
    And allow rebalance to complete.

  • BRF+ in NW 701: Adding an expression in a ruleset-specific rule

    Hi,
    I'm running BRFPlus in NW 701 (FDT_WORKBENCH) and I'm aware that, this version has several limitations
    For example, in a ruleset-specific rule, I'm not able to add a ruleset variable nor to add a new expression operation as rule operation.
    Is there any kind of workaround or I need BRF+ in NW 702 only?
    Thank you in advance.
    Kind Regards,
    Andrea

    Hi Andrea,
    I am sorry but there is no workaround and it is pretty unlikely that those features will be ported into 701.
    A workaround could be to run BRFplus in 702 on a separate machine and connect by RFC. Or have the logic in ABAP abd only call into BRFplus for decision tables, formulas..

  • Converting Time Ruler to Seconds Issue

    In the project settings I have specified to use a time code 00:00:00:00 where the timeline should display the hours, minutes, or seconds in the footage. However, the timeline is still showing frames as you can see below. What am I doing incorrectly?

    Thanks for the help Rick. I am still experiencing issues however. For instance in the composition settings I entered in 0:00:00:30 to have a 30 second composition. The first problem I notice is when I go back to the composition settings, or view the timeline, it shows one minute six seconds ( 0:00:01:06) for the duration of the comp, even though I specified  0:00:00:30.
    The second problem I am having is I add clip to the timeline that is only 7 seconds long. For some reason it it stretches the clip through the whole timeline of the comp, it shouldn't as it its only 7 seconds.
    Thanks for your feedback.

  • Adding settlement rules via KAUF_ORDER_CHANGE_OREXT

    Has anybody ever used the function module KAUF_ORDER_CHANGE_OREXT to create settlement rules in an existing internal order?
    It looks like it supports it because the structure OREXT contains the fields for it.  (for example field KONTY_1)  But when I try to update those fields I get an error message saying field "KONTY_1 does not exists in either COAS or AUFK".
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,-tom

    it is a subroutine.. I think the best bet would be to directly call 'KAUF_ORDER_SAVE'
    after the original function you will have the index in the parameter E_SAVE_INDEX. pass it to this function a follows
       CALL FUNCTION 'KAUF_ORDER_SAVE'
          EXPORTING
            i_dialog      = ' '
            i_index       = index
            i_check       = 'X'
            i_testrun     = space
          IMPORTING
            e_coas        = coas
          EXCEPTIONS
            error_message = 2
            OTHERS        = 1.

  • Adding more rules, makes less songs in smart playlists?

    Every time I add a condition to a smart playlist, the song count drops, instead of increases, I want to make sure I get all of a certain type of song, and my music collection is far too big to go through and edit all of them.  There was a trick to this, but I've forgotten it, can anyone help me out?

    You use match all to narrow down a selection with multiple rules, or match any to join the results of several rules together. Sometimes to get exactly what you want you need nested combinations of both options.
    E.g.
    Match any
         Match all
              Rule 1
              Rule 2
         Match all
              Rule 3
              Rule 4
    Would list anything that matches (rule 1 and rule 2) or (rule 3 and rule 4).
