CcBPM Scenarios Administering and Trobleshooting

hi Team,
I am new to PI, all though i been handling the other regular scenarios but not BPM, i am becoming clueless with BPM based scenarios. so pleae help me with some good BASIS related trobleshooting guides and Best Known Methods to Administer, Troubleshoot BPM based scenarios.
Thanks
Sekhar.

For basic scenarios search SDN and for administration and trouble shooting also you can get good guides in SDN
For TroubleShooting of BPM
1. After Designing Scenarion press F7 or check button in BPM editor.
2. Once this is done you need to import the integration process in ID
3. after this check cache go to SXI_CACHE and make sure the code is o for your integration process
4. check SWWL for instances of  your Integrtion process
5. After running your BPM Scenario go to SXI_MONITOR and Click PE tab for display of your bpm
at runtime.
6. SXI_MONI_BPE go to technical details job for more details of this

  • Transformation step in ccBPM scenario

    Hi There,
I have a scenario like this:
    File -> ccBPM -> BAPI
I am using the Transformation step(1:1) in the ccBPM Scenario. I have supplied, interface mapping, source  message (File name), target message (name) in the properties of the 'Transformation step'.
The scenario is currently failing at the Transformation step with a error message,"Expression must return the interface type Z_MYBAPI"
    Any thoughts on this issue?
    Thanks,
    Raghu

    Hi Raghu,
    Check these:
    1) Interface Mapping (shoould be between Abstract Interface).
    2) Source Message and Target Message in transformation should be Abstract.
    Hope these will help you.

  • JMS CC - administered and selected channels have not been stopped

    Hi Friends,
We are unable to stop JMS CC. (It is already green, but it is throwing error) . (Error : JMS error occurred while processing message: 4bebe40f-e09e-658d-e100-00009958a87b. JMS provider gave error mesage as MQJMS1016: an internal error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator. Detail: java.lang.NullPointerException null, and error code as MQJMS1016.)
That is Stop button is disabled in the CC Monitoring.
When we do Multiple Selection On and click the Stop button, it is showing the message
"1 of 1 administered and selected channels have not been stopped".
We have checked from the MQ team. (Websphere MQ). The queues are correct. No issues.
We compared in PI side successfull CC and this CC whic is not stopped. Configuration are same except the queue name.
Note that this problem is not coming for all JMS channels. Only for particular channels.
Kindly clarify, friends. why we are unable to stop and start those CC.
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

    Hi Shabarish,
I found one thing. Those CC are controlled by Externally. So that Stop button is diabled. I don't know why they set External Control On.
Then, I switched off External Control and started manually. It took very long time to do this. (??) Now, I am getting different error.
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: No transition found from state: STARTING, on event: process_commence for DFA:
For this, I refereed the thread No transition found from state: STARTING.  They told that this is due of missing of some libraries.
My doubt is if this is the problem, how other JMS receiver CC are working.
    Can you kindly clarify.
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

  • Adding workflow process owners for Scenarios/Versions and Entities

Hi. I want to add managers and their email addresses for each combination of Scenarios/Versions and each Entity member.
I see when I'm in the Application I can go into File | Workflow , Manage Process I can see that under the "Current Owner", each entity is showing "Not Available".
How can I add these owner(s) for ech entity so that a process can be started for each entity and the next higher person in management gets notified?
    Thanks!

The administrator or the user with the admin access initiates the workflow for each entity and assigns to a person. So that person becomes the owner. After he completes he promotes it to the next level. Only the current owner will have the access to that particular entity. The process continues.

  • CcBPM - process stopped and SXMB_MONI_BPE without entries

    Hello,
We have a strange behaviour of ccBPM on SAP PI 7.01.
Sometimes ccBPMs are not working properly.
So e.g. process is not started or in SXMB_MONI_BPE showing that a wrong lane after a switch is started.
Usually we could resolve that by reimporting the Int.process from the Repository or by adding a dummy container step.
But now the behaviour is really strange (but only for one of 6 ccBPMs implemented. So 5 are running fine)
    a) ccBPM is not started, only SXMB_MONI shows the step to start the BPM as successful.
(After doing a small change in the ccBPM, which was tested successfully the week before).
    b) Adding a dummy step (simply container with an append) enables the process to start.
Test for switch lane 1 is successful
Test for switch lane 2 fails. SXMB_MONI_BPE shows that switch lane 1 is choosen.
But the comm.channel monitor shows that the first step in switch lane 2 was started successfully.
(Connect via JDBC to select data)
    c) Adding another container dummy step in switch lane 2 and reimporting the int.proc. into Int.Dir. results in:
SXMB_MONI shows all steps up to switch lane 2 step one (select of data)
-> SXMB_MONI does not show any entries for the started ccBPM.
    d) Removing all dummy steps does not change the situation.
So at the end we deleted the implementation of the Int. process and rebuild all the objects using new names for the Int.Proc and its Config.Scenario.
Is there anybody with similar experience for such strange behaviour.
    Best Regards
    Dirk

    Hi Heiko,
Check the OSS note 1126656 - BPE-TS: Permanent errors in the BPE inbound processing
    In parrallel goto TCODE "SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING".
Check whether ,any errors are there.
All entries related workflow or integration process should be with out any errors and active.

  • CcBPM Scenario

    Hi All,
I appreciate if you can help me to design one requirement.
I have IDOC-XI-Flat File requirement to process PO, and I need to co-relate the incoming records with PO.
I read few How-To document on IDOC. It talks about R/3-XI-R3, and that too not with ccBPM.
Can some one tell me the steps in ccBPM for this scenario? I think  I need to also get acknowledgment to update the status record on IDOC along with co-relation.

    Hi kumar,
In the interface mapping, select the three abstrat messages from the messages tab as the source interface.Select the target abstart interface and click on read interfaces button.Below u wil see the idocs and finally select ur mapping program from it.

  • Simple collect ccBPM scenario

    Hello everyone!
    Here's my scenario:
Multiple IDOCs (of the same message type DEBMAS) may be triggered by a scheduled program (RBDMIDOC). The mapping I created in XI results into individual files being sent to an FTP folder. What I want to happen is for all the IDOCS that were sent to be collected in XI and sent as ONE file to the FTP folder. I understand this can be done using ccBPM, but all the blogs I've seen so far deal with more complex scenarios. Would anyone be willing to show me the basic steps (abstract interfaces to create, creating containers and processes, etc.) to make my scenario possible. I hope y'all can be as simple as possible.
    Thanks in advance!
    Glenn

    Glenn,
Cool.  Keep the Time Dependant example as reference which I've given above.
Import your IDOC DEBMAS into Imported Objects.
Data type and Message type  for Target (File)
    Create two Interfaces
Abstract Asynchronous Interface --- use IDOC DEBMAS(Interface1)
Abstract Asynchronous Interface --- File Target Message(Interface2)
    Message Mapping
    Source : IDOC
    Target: File Message
Change the occurrence of source message to 0..Unbounded.
    Interface Mapping
    Source :Interface1
    Target : Interface2
Change the occurrence of Source message to 0..unbounded.
    BPM
    Container Elements
    Receive -
    Interface1
    Receive_ML -
    Interface1
    Send -
    Interface2
Click on the Receive Step -- choose Receive Container element
Clikc on Container Operation --  choose Receive_ML Container element as Target and Receive as Expression
Click on the deadline branch and give 15 mins
Click on Transformation step : Source: Receive_ML , Target : Send
Click on Send Step : use Send Container element
    Hope it helps!

  • ChaRM Scenario: Workbench and Customizing CR in the same Change Document

We use the ChaRM scenario of Solution Manager 3.2 to manage the transport request for the R/3 landscape.
We have two different project with two different landscape:
    - the first one is used for customizing purpose ED1/010 - EQ1/010 - EP1/010
    - the second one is for workbench purpose ED1/011 - EQ1/010 - EP1/010
We usually assign a Change Request each Change Document.
Assigning the Change Document to a maintenance cycle (owned by a SolMan Project) to assigne the CD/CR to the right source client.
Sometime we need to create a Change Document that contains two CR one for customizing purpose the other one for workbench purpose.
Is this possible using ChaRM standard features ?
    Regards,
    Giampaolo

    Hi Martin,
Solmaniacs' assumptions are correct. You can have as many source clients as you want.
    As long as
    - STMS configuration (transport routes, and domain links) are consistent
    - SMSY configuration (logical components are declared properly with assigning the right role types to systems/clients)
    - Project declaration are done correctly (so that from Solman solar_project_admin you can read the STMS as confiured in the distant STMS domain)
    - IMPORTANT: those configuration GO ALONG with each other !! (SMSY should nt contradict STMS for example...)
The tasklist that is generated for each Solman project will be as follow
    - Node 1: Header Tasks (commun to all systems)
    - Node x: Corresponding to track x declared in Project (each Source System will have his own node with the corresponding track under)
    - Node x+1
    - Node ...
    - Last Node : Tasks for Tasklist closure - checks on scma consistancy and CTS projects closure
So you'll always have n+2 nodes in your tasklist; n beeing the number of declared source (=dev) systems in project
For each action launched from change docuemnts like creation of TR, release of TR or Retrofit (as Solmaniac said) you'll have an additional pop-up that will appears letting you choose the system you want to use for the action
    Hope its helpful

  • SOAP Scenario-Sender and receiver having same structure- Mapping Required?

    Hi,
We are having a SOAP to SOAP scenario. In that the sender and receiver are having same structure. Is it possible to by-pass mapping and just do the configuration from ID

    Hi Siji,
AFAIK you can skip ESR development. Check the example in this blog When and how to create an scenario in SAP PI without mapping objects.

  • BPM Scenario ( JDBC and Web Services )

    Hi all,
I working in scenario in XI BPM and I need to do this:
    1) I have one table in SQL Server.
    2) I need to fill this table with a Web Services, because the costumer needs exactly SOAP.
    3) To fill  this table, I have some roles, like Area Code, State, then I need to do in JDBC Adapter and BPM.
4)Finaly, I need to create a Web Services Provider( WSDL)  that insert data in this table.
I have one question: Is it possible to create this scenario in BPM? I need to create one Web Service Provider using a XI to table in SQL Server.
Have you seen one scenario like this?
    Is its possible?
    Thanks.
    Regards.

    Hi Fabio,
Yes you could but I am still trying to understand why you would need Business Process Management (BPM)?  The way I understand it (correct me where I may be wrong) is that someone calls a web service which in turns calls your WSDL in SAP XI/PI.  SAP XI/PI does its mapping and calls the JDBC adapter to put your data into your SQL table.  BPM comes in only when you have some sequence to consider, complex logic to work with, etc. that you might not otherwise need.
    Does that help?

  • Asynchronous scenario, JDBC and proper error handlig - proces design?

    Hi All
I've succesfully created async scenario, generally consisted of:
SOAP -> IP (ccBPM) -> JDBC
Everything works fine except one aspect  - whenever there is error in JDBC adapter, nothing happens. Just server logs notify about exception, but whole process in SXMB_MONI looks fine.
What is correct approach for such scenario? Best thing (I suppose) would be possibility to resend message in case of receiver error. Later on this scenario will contain many receivers (different adapters maybe - some of them JDBC), so best option would be resending only failed branches of process. But those are only my wishful thoughts
What would you suggest in such case?
    Best regards
    TIA
    Maciej Gottfried

    you can opt to automatically reprocess the message;
    1. /people/sap.india5/blog/2006/01/03/xi-asynchronous-message-processing-understanding-xi-queues-part-i
    2. in the adapter level modify the retries - /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2010/03/31/did-you-know--delivery-attempts-customizable-per-communication-channel

  • Integration Scenario Configuator and Business Services (B2B)

We use Business Services to define the services provided by our external business partners (e.g. a transport organization has defined some webservices to which we connect to).
The reason why we use Business Services is that we don't have to define them in the SLD. And we understand from the documentation that external business systems should be defined as Business Services and not Business Systems.
Now we want to use the Integration Scenario Configurator, but when we define a B2B service in the Integation Scenario, we cannot create the communication channels with the wizard. Futhermore the other object (receiver determination etc.) is also not created for the business service.
When we take a look at the definition of a B2B scenario in the SAP documentation, the documentation describes a complete different use of B2B. We understand from the documentation that B2B is a cross company XI landscape where all partners have there own XI system. This also explains the behavure in the configurator since one party cannot access its own business systems.
This leaves us with the following questions:
    1. Is B2B only possible for XI to XI scenario's?
    2. Is a service provided by a partner a business system?
    3. And do we have to include all communication end point in the SLD?
    Kind regards,
    Christiaan Schaake

    Dear Christiaan,
I encountered the same problem. What I did was that I created a party for the external business partner and assigned a business service to it. Beside this you have to check the box (ext. party w. B2B comm) under communication type in the application component in the integration scenario.
When you have done this you can create comm. channel with the wizard and also the other objects.
    see: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/e6/908d3f7057eb0ce10000000a114084/content.htm
Regarding your questions: depending on the way we think, we can come up with different answers. I don't think this is what you're looking for.
Maybe someone else can give you a clear answer.

  • Classic scenario : Confirmation and invoice in same system ?

    Hello experts,
    My question is as follows.
I am trying to learn various scenarios in SRM as a beginner.i undrstand how the scenarios are present and what they mean .
    In classic scenario,
can i create a goods receipt in ERP(MIGO) and then a invoice in SRM ?
If this is possible, then i wont be able to see the related documents in the shopping cart for the self service procurement business process.
Help me understand this process and the technical scenario.
Will there be a constrainst that always the confirmation and invoicing has to be done in the same system. either ERP or SRM ?
    Thanks
    per

    Hi Per,
    1. Yes this is possible, We can create the confirmation and invoice in either systems.
    2. However most of the business requirements would always follow creating the follow on documents in one of the system, mostly ERP. It is totally dependent of the business and the customer. The decision of deciding on the Classic or ECS would always take this into consideration.
Anything we do in the system should justify the business need of the customer. The possibility to create the documents is a option to provide the flexibility. Hope this helps. Let me know incase of more clarifications.
