CDR FIles in Call Manager version 7.1.5-30000

Good Morning:
I have a cluster of servers Cisco Call Manager version 7.1.5.30000; 01 Publisher and 02 subscriber. The publisher server passes CDR files to a call accounting application PC-SYSTEL on another server. At one point the CDR files are no longer spend the Call Manager to the application PC-SYSTEL
Call manager services are reviewed, the part of CDR Management in Cisco Unified Serviciability right. The only solution is doing a RESTART to PUBLISHER server,  and then again go CDR files to the application PC-SYSTEL
Please anyone has any solution other than to give a RESTART PUBLISHER server, or is this the only way to restore this service.
Expect your news.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Regards.
Fernando.

Hi Fernando,
Please check the following.
(1) Confirm that the billing server is configured correctly (verify the IP address). From the Cisco Unified Serviceability page, navigate to Tools > CDR Management to view the billing server parameters.
(2) Check if you can ping the billing server from the Publisher. From the Publisher CLI, you can use the following command:
utils network ping a.b.c.d
where a.b.c.d is the IP address of the billing server
(3) Check if the FTP (or SFTP) service/software running on the billing server.
(4) Check if the billing server is running out of disk-space.
(5) Check if the CDR Respository Manager service is running on the Publisher. If not, start the CDR Repository Manager service.
(6) On the Publisher, check the 'preserve' and 'destinationX' (X can be 1, 2 or 3) directories for CDR flat files. For example: if transfer of CDR files to billing server is broken from Jan 6th, then use the following commands:
file list activelog /cm/cdr_repository/preserve/20110106
file list activelog /cm/cdr_repository/destination1/20110106
(if multiple billing servers are configuration, the location will be similar to above, but the corresponding directories will be named destination2, destination3). This location contains symbolic links to files under preserve. CDR Repository Manager service uses these soft-links to determine what files need to be transfered to billing server.
If you don't observe files in either the 'preserve' or the 'destinationX' locations for the specific date, then it means that problem does not reside on the Publisher. Either the CDR records were not generated by the server that handled the call or it could mean that CDR Agent service on that server could not transfer flat files to the Publisher. Was the 'CDR Enabled Flag is enabled in CallManager service' enabled on that particular date ? Is the CDR Agent service running on the node that handled the call ?
If you observe files in the 'preserve' directory for the specific date, try restarting the CDR Repository Manager service on the Publisher. If the file transfer to the billing server does not commence, then set the trace level for the CDR Repository Manager service to Debug, wait 10 minutes, download CDR Repository Manager logs via RTMT and engage Cisco-TAC for further troubleshooting.

  • Re install a subscriber Call manager Version 7.1.5.30000-1

    Hi all
we have a problem concern database replication between the publisher and the subscriber so we shutdown the subscriber and NOW
We need to re install a subscriber
    - Do we have to take a backup from the old one and if we restore it does it makes database conflict
    - Do we need to have answer file generated
    - If we do not have a CD of the same version of the publisher what should we do
    - Do we have to re install the license on the subscriber
    Thanks

    Hi Heba,
Although everyone has answered the question, I thought to refer to your points as well:
    - Do we have to take a backup from the old one and if we restore it does it makes database conflict
       - No, you dont need a DR Restore to restore a Sub.
    - Do we need to have answer file generated
      - No, you can install the Sub manually (ie respond to all the questions live during the isntall)
    - If we do not have a CD of the same version of the publisher what should we do
     - You MUST get one, if you dont have one handy, I will raise a TAC SR and request them to release it to   you.
    - Do we have to re install the license on the subscriber
     - No, I believe all the Lic are installed on the Pub, and once the Sub has come online, you can verify that if the system needs any Node Lic. Just in case if you need anyway, request a new Lic from TAC, they should be able to issue you a Node Lic

    Hi,
Can anyone help me how to take MIB file for Call Manager. We have a cluster of 6 CUCM servers (1 pub + 5 Sub). we need this MIB file for monitoring purpose. If you need anyother information regarding this please let me know.

    Hi
Below MIBs are supported in CUCM.  Refer the link attached for details. Btw which Version are you running ?
    •CISCO-CCM-MIB
    •CISCO-CCM-CAPABILITY
    •CISCO-CDP-MIB

  • Importing Data from SQL DB or Text File to Call Manager 8.5.1

    Hi Everyone,
I would like to import from an external DB or text  file, what have you, the Employees Single reach Number to Call Manager.  Please let me know your suggestions.
    Thanks

I don't see why not. This additional requirement would likely require you go the AXL API route so that you can remove unnecessary manual steps. If you are looking for a "trigger" event, then that would be trickier. You may be able to craft something from audit logs or tomcat logs but I don't know if that would be worth the headache. It would require some additional thought.
You could do a scheduled sync. You will need to ensure you understand all database dependencies and account for some of the additional end user customizations (like time of day and allow lists). The database schema (data dictionary) for your version is here:

  • E1 no voice on Cisco Call Manager version 6

    Hello,
We are running Cisco Call Manager with MGCP and E1 connection to a Siemens PSTN
We have started experiencing no voice when calling to Siemens or calling from Siemens to Cisco. The call goes through but there is no ring tone and no voice when the call is answered.
Also, I noticed that MGCP fails back to our Sub sometime, but I am not sure if these issues are somehow related
How can I troubleshoot voice problems with E1?
    Thank you

    Hi fgasimzade,
Can you check with Siemen what channel order do they follow.
Cisco VG follows descending order for outbound calls and expect ascending for incoming calls.
You can toggle config using below commands
    interface SerialX/Y/Z:15
    isdn bchan-number-order {ascending | descending}.

  • Upgrading call manager from version 8 to 9

    Hi All
Can anyone please tell me the summary steps on what I need to do to go from call manager version 8 to version 9?
    many thanks
    Carl

The answer to your question, is that they entirely depend on you exact CUCM versions, asking here and just saying "8 "does not work. You will need to do your due diligence, and read:
    A) Upgrade guide for your target version
    B) Release Notes
    C) New and changed doc, if not included in the RNs already
They will provide you with ALL you need to perform the upgrade, pre-reqs, procedure, and post-upgrade changes to the VM. All the information is available on cisco.com under the CUCM main documentation site.
Once you've been thru those, you can come back with any further questions.

  • Cdr file preview in Bridge CS6

Anyone knows why Bridge CS6 wont display larger previews of cdr files?
The previous version I had (CS4) handled cdr files without  any problem.
    Thanks

Sorry I don't have an answer either, szf611.  In fact, I came here looking for an answer to this myself.
I had a vague memory that the ability to view CDRs might have come from a Bridge extension, rather than being a native capability, but I could be wrong about that.  (Maybe I'm thinking of the "Bridge Here" script?)  I don't know if it would have come from Adobe or Corel.
If I find any solution, obviously I'll post back.  You haven't found any more info since opening the thread, have you?

  • Multiple IPs in Call Manager

    Hi,
We need to configure multiple  IP addresses in a Call Manager version 8. Our customer has three diferent IP networks: One for management, one for signaling and one for media. Call Manager is connected to those networks using three NICs with different IP Addresses a should separate traffic.
Is it possible in CCM? I guess no, but is there any work around to get this functionality?
    Thanks and best regards.
    Raul

Not possible in CallManager, but you can achieve this with "VRF select" on IOS routers

  • Cisco Call Manager replication issue

    Hello
We are running a cluster of 3 servers with Cisco Call Manager version 6
I have noticed that the replication status is 3 on all servers and from the CM Database Status I can see  queue of updates are stuck
I have restarted Pub and one Sub but the status is still 3 and queue status is still the same
Is there anything I can do to make it work?
    Thank you

    Thank you,
I will try them tomorrow, but I thought restarting the servers will also reset the replication
Btw, there was a time difference on the servers due to NTP failure and I have just noticed that Pub can not see one of the Subs, the replication status is 0 and

  • IPCC and CVP in VMWare, same as Call Manager

    Hi All;
As I know that new version of Cisco Call Manager (version 8) is working based on VMWare (and it is must), so I am asking if there is a versions for IPCC and CVP working on VMWare (this for production and not for LAB).
    Appreciate kindly help and support.
    Regards
    Bilal

UCCE 8 on VMware 4.0 on the Cisco UCS hardware only.
But in a lab environment, many (most) of us are using VMware in some shape or form.
I have 5 x HP DL380G5 2 CPU servers each with 6GB in a rack running ESX 3.5, with a smaller server for the Virtual Center software. Each ESX host can  support 7 virtual machines - DC, Rogger, AW/HDS, PG, CVP7, CUCM and CUPS. You do need a lot of disc space though - especially CUPS (80GB) and CUCM (40GB). And you need a lot of extra space for snapshots.

  • What is the procedure of Call Manager upgrade from version CUCM 7.1 (MCS Server) to version CUCM 10.2 (on UCS server)

    Hi
What is the procedure of Call Manager upgrade from version CUCM 7.1 (MCS Server)  to version CUCM 10.2 (on UCS server) , please let me know the steps to what would be the backup procedures and upgrades.
    Regards
    Gaurav

I'd suggest reading this guide to make sure you have prepared your environment to support 10.x first. The link below also contains the upgrade path to 10.0(1).
One of the ways you can do this is:
1/ Apply refresh upgrade cop file on all servers in cluster.
2/ Upgrade the cluster to 8.6(2). Take a backup of the cluster.
3/ Build a cluster of 8.6(2) servers on VMs, and assign them the same hostnames and IP address as the hardware cluster. (You may need to keep these on a separate network until switching off the hardware machines)
4/ Restore the backup taken from the hardware cluster on to the VM cluster.
5/ Upgrade VM cluster to 10.0(1).

An attempt to open a pdf file with Photoshop Elements (version 12) resulted in a pop generated by the Photoshop Editor stated "Impossible to execute this operation (opening file) because one of the specified colour is not managed". Is there any mean to adapt the file to make its reading possible?
Did somebody get the same problem?

It is a high order probability that your SQL's report generator is creating the PDF, not Acrobat (which by design and EULA cannot be used in as/with server).
That the report generator outputs to an old-old version of PDF bears this out.
Wiki articles on PDF are very nice for those high level intro summaries.
To know / understand PDF you purchase and study the ISO Standard for PDF (ISO 32000-1:2008).
Rather than "PDF validation" you may want to consider addressing the appearent root cause of the problem(s).
You can change the email2fax application to one that can deal with older PDF versions.
You can change the report generator to one that can output to the ISO Standard.
(Perhaps the in-use application can be configured to output to the current version of PDF (i.e., the ISO Standard).
    Be well...

  • Is it possible to take the CDR data from a v4.2 Call Manager and copy it to a separate server where it would be made available for reporting?

Is it possible to take the CDR data from a v4.2 Call Manager and copy it to a separate server where it would be made available for reporting? We are not interested in migrating the CDR data to v6 because of the concerns it introduces to the upgrade process. Is it possible to get the raw data and somehow serve it from a different machine? (knowing it would be 'old' data that stops as of a certain date). If so, what would be the complexity involved in doing so?
It seems like the CDR data lives within MSSQL and the reporting interface is within the web server portion of the Call Manager... that's as far as we've dug so far.

    Hi
It is absolutely possible to get the data - anyone you have in your org with basic SQL skills can move the data off to a standalone SQL server. This could be done most simply by backing up and restoring the DB using SQL Enterprise Manager.
Moving the CAR/ART reporting tool would be more difficult... if you do actually use that for reporting (most people find it doesn't do what they need and don't use it for anything but basic troubleshooting, and get a third party package) then the best option may be to keep your publisher (possibly assigning it a new IP) and leave it running for as long as you need reporting.
You would then need a new server to run your upgraded V6 CCM; you may find you need this anyway.
    Regards
    Aaron
