Change pointer on table MCH1 to trigger BATMAS idoc

Hi all,
I like to set a CP on table MCH1 for message type BATMAS. Is this possible ? I only see MCHA listen in tx: BD52.
If I try to add BATMAS it fails on the object field in BD52..
Any other scenarios that I can use to send back Batch Numbers to ext whs ??
Any ideas ?
cheers
Eric

Fixed - this can be closed.

Hi,
>>>In this interface, we have to send only changed and newly created Employees to Legacy system. For this we are using change pointers which will capture all the changes.
No standard idoc is available which can suffice our requiremen; so we have created a custom IDoc and enabled change pointers on it.
what about HRMD_ABA ?
standard idoc for sending employees from SAP ?
everything is in standard with it

  • When changing SAP source table causes drop trigger

    Hi folks,
    Recently we had an issue where a table stopped replicating with ERROR status in our development HANA environment due to a dropped trigger.  We were able to trace the drop trigger command to an abap user who had made a change to the source table directly in SAP.  Apparently they added a brand new field to the append structure of table MARC.  It seems somehow this automatically deleted the triggers.  Not such a big deal in development but once we move the change to production this is a big deal because all HANA reports using this table will experience downtime if we have to drop and reload this table.  My questions;
    1) Should adding a NEW field drop the triggers?
    2) What types of changes to a SAP source table would causes us to have to drop and reload a table?  Before this recent event I thought that only changes to existing fields would cause this issue (ie: changing a datatype of a field, or length etc) however I thought adding brand new fields to the append structure would not be an issue.
We are on REV 82.  Thanks for any insight you can provide.
    -Patrick

    Hi Martin, I looked into that note and verified the following;
Note 1875769 was successfully applied in source system
Note 1749824 had status of 'cannot be implemented' for some reason
So I have to dig into if that has anything to do with our issue.  But can you or anybody tell me if we should in theory be able to add new fields to a table via APPEND without having to drop triggers each time?
    Thanks

    Hello,
In Test system, when we run BD21 for DEBMAS, same change pointers getting processed again and again. This did not happen in Dev.
We did client copy for building Test system from DEV  (Gold client).
Is it possible to carry over few table entries from Dev (even though it is gold client) and these entries cauing aboev problem while runnign BD21?
Is there any way to get rid of it? Will BD22 help?
    Thanks.

    Hi Rupali.
BD22 is used for erase change pointers. Why don't use WPMU ? or WPMA ? Using transaction WPMU, this
take change pointers, and mark it like processed. I'm using WPMU, and it's  working.

  • Change Business Partner in CRM to trigger OutBound IDOC in R/3 system

    Hi Team,
I am stuck on a requirement, We have a scenario were the Business Partner is created in CRM system
which creates a BDOC and is passed to R/3 system through an Inbound IDOC which  triggers the Outbound IDOC to PI system. So far good.
The scenario we are getting stuck is when a Business partner is changed in CRM an IDOC triggered in R/3 system but this being a change the Change pointers are not called hence the IDOC which is supposed to be triggered for the PI system is not getting triggered.
Can you please tell me what steps should I take to trigger this Outbound IDOC from R/3 system?
I did some anlyasis and found a table which COM_BUPA_CALL_FU which contains a set of function module which is triggered in the sequence. Is this the solution or if you have any different do let me know.
    Thanks,
    Imran

    Hi,
Did you add the entry for your new custom 'Z' long text inPITX Tcode in R3 side. Every long texts in CRM should be linked to R3 long text here. If there is no entry please add one and try changing the text in CRM.
    Hope this helps,
    Karuna.

  • Activate change pointer to shipment tables

    Hi,
Is is possible to activate change pointers to shipment tables like VTTK or VTTP? not to message type.
    regards,
    sree

    Hi Friend,
No it is not possible to maintain change pointer for tables except message type.
Because message type help to recognize what type fo data SAP should send or receive.

  • Problem to create change pointer for custom message type - Idoc creation

    Hi,
We want to create IDOC and send it out when the data of "planning calendar" changes. So we are trying to generate change pointers whenever entries in Table T439I (Planniing calendar) data change.
We created a message type, activated change pointers generally and maintained change relevant fields for message type (not sure if this step is done correctly). But not getting any change pointer in table BDCP2 when I create a new planning calendar in MD25.
    Can anybody help / guide?

    Thanks once again,
I had linked idoc type and message type in we82. Now after i activate the change pointers. I try to generate the IDOC type using BD21. It gives me the error message :<b> "Message type ZP2PPROJ_MSG cannot be sent with change pointers"</b>
whereas in my segments i am using all the master data only (i.e. PRPS, PROJ,PRHI). Please throw some light on this.
Also please clarify, do i need to make an entry of this custome message type in the partner profile ?

  • PRCMAS change pointer

    Hi all
I set in BD52 in some fields change pointer for profit center.
But when I delete some profit then isn't generate any change pointer.
I have the similary in cost center for COSMAS and this works on delete.
    Where is problem?

    Hi,
does your problem is: " no change pointer have been generated " ? or " no idoc has been sent " ?
To check 1st point, see table content of BDCP.
    To check 2nd point:
Have you do the ALE config: WE20 (partner Profile) + BD64 (Distribution Model) ?
Have you use Tx BD21 (or program RBDMIDOC) to generate Idocs based on change pointers and on ALE config ?
    regards.

  • Trigger CREMAS change pointer for vendor classification change in XK02/FK02

    Hi,
I have a business case where I need to trigger a change pointer of type CREMAS whenever a client modifies vendor classification in transactions FK02/XK02.  I realize classificatiion/characteristics have their own change pointer types (CLFMAS, CHRMAS, etc.), but I was wondering if there was a user exit/BADI available for this scenario where I can manually create a change pointer.  I need the characteristic data to be part of a custom IDoc type (based off of CREMAS03), and it's no problem to include this data in the custom IDoc, but I need a way to trigger the change pointer if the clients changes vendor characteristic data, and nothing else.
I also went into transaction BD52 for type CREMAS to see if there's another row for classification (CLASSIFY), but couldn't figure out the right object type.
There's a BADI called CACL_VALUE_CHANGE that triggers when vendor classification is changed, where I can generate my change pointer, but it's triggered before the client saves which means I would have a useless change pointer.
Does anyone have any ideas on what my options are?  I hope I've elaborated enough
    Thanks,
    Chris

I figured out a way to do this which was to implement the BDCP_BEFORE_WRITE BADI which allows you to interrogate a change pointer based on an IDoc message type before it's saved to the database.  For starters, change pointers for message type CLFMAS must be activated in order for this to work, even though I'm not interested in those eventual IDocs.
In the IF_EX_BDCP_BEFORE_WRITE~FILTER_BDCPV_BEFORE_WRITE method of the BADI implementation, I was able to loop through all of the change pointers about to be created and this is where I was able to obtain the vendor number the classification is being applied to.  I actually added another line to the internal table that's changeable in the method for CREMAS and it worked out well.
The only thing that was difficult was to debug this baby.  No matter how you set the breakpoint, it just never hits it until I discovered it's called using an UPDATE TASK.  I found an unorthodox method to debug this situation on the web which is to force an endless loop before your custom code such as.........
    while sy-subrc <> 98.
    endwhile.
    <custom code here>
Once your process runs, it will be sitting in an endless loop in an update task which you can view in transaction SM50.  From here, you can highlight this line then you can click on "Program Session > Program > Debugging" to debug your code.  It's not something I was used to, but it allowed me to debug in the end.  I would hope there's better ways, but this worked for now.
I hope this helps someone else!

  • How to set a change pointer for a perticular table?

    Hi,
Please let me know how to set a change pointer for a perticular table.

what do you mean by 'change pointer'? normally this idiom is used for sending ÍDOCs from one system/client/org-unit to another ...
do you generally want to record changes to a specific table? then set parameter rec/client using RZ10 for your instance profiles and restart the instances in order for the parameter to take effect.
set the table to 'record all changes' using SE11.
you might re-consider if the table has a lot of  data and is accessed very often for performance-resons.
change protocols can be evaluated using tx, SCU3.

  • HRMD_ABA change pointer trigger not work for info type changes

    Hi,
In change pointer for message type HRMD_ABA Certain changes to HR records like adding activity types to infotype 315, changing dates to infotype 0001, 0105 and 315 and adding/changing/deleting are not woking through change pointers.
We are are replicating those changes through RHALEINI program, so can anyone let me know how to customize in case of adding this info types to trigger automatically through change pointers.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Then check for change document created or not, if created then use SWEC  to  link it

  • Set Tables Change Pointer

    Hi all,
I have a requirement where i have been given a settable in GS03. I need to record every change in this on ECC side and pass it to PI and then send it to target.
I am not aware of how to do this.
Can anybody please help me either by a blog or some steps.
    Thanks

  • Trigger Extra Change Pointer Update

We have Price and Quantity fields configured on PO for creating change pointer records.
When both of the values (NETPR & MENGE) are changed at the same time then everything works out great in BW but if let say only Price is changed then there are issues.
What I need is if only the Price is changed then during the update of the PO the record for Qty should also be created in change pointer tables (CDHDR & CDPOS). If you can briefly describe how to do it that will be great help and I will highly appreciate it.

    Hi,
I have done all the required configuration for change pointer for HR master Distribution and it was working fine few days back. Now suddnly it has stopped working.
Can anyone assist me on how should i debug it.
    Thanks

    Hi Shital,
    Thanks for your Reply.
I am not able to find that path in SPRO
    Basic Functions-> application Area
And Also My change pointer configuration was working properly and it suddenly stopped working.
I mean to say all the required settings was done previously.
Anyways kindly let me know how should i proceed.

  • Idoc trigerring with change pointer under conditions

    Hello dear experts
Could you please tell me how can i trigger an outbound idoc using the change pointer ( RBDMIDOC program)?
I have to generate the ARTMAS outbound idoc ONLY when the material status which is the table MARA is set to a certain value.
I can manage to trigger the outbound idoc but i did not manage to restrict this triggering according to the value of the material status fields.
    Thanks for all your answers.
    Best Regards.
    Yannick

I tested using filter on Dist Wh and change pointers - for us, Dist Wh filter for material set on plant.  When we made change to matierial, only if change to plant was made, so plant was included in idoc segment, did the filter work.  If change material description, plant not on idoc segment so was sent .  Looking for alternative...
