Changes in Assembly order

Hi Gurus,
We are using assembly order process.
As you know whenever I create a sales order, production order is also created at the same time.
But now our problem is whenever I make changes in the sales order, it is taking to production order screen automatically. I want the corresponding changes in production order should happen in back ground when I change sales order. Is it possible. How?
All answers will be rewarded accordingly.
Regards,
Jejesh

Hi,
The sales order changes will not be automatically updated in your production order. For this you need to do some developments on your own. SAP standard will not update this automatically.
Since your sales order requirement type is having the requirement class automatic planning, you are getting the production order once you created the sales order.

  • Mass change on production order (assembly type) to put deletion flag status

    Dear all,
I've make a mass change on production orders to settle the status DLFL through the Tcode CO78.
Some of the production orders  are "assembly order" type. Those could not be up-dated with the DLFL because there are linked to customer order. The customers orders are closed.
What can I do to change the status for this kind of production orders. It is necessary for me to be able to put the DLFL status in order to improve the process of production closure done each month.

    Hi kiran
Thanks for the response. As I cannot put deletion indicator on the Assembly order directly, Do we have to put deletion indicator on the sales order item?. If so, Can we put a deletion indicator after the sales order was delivered and invoiced. What exactly have you guys done to put deletion flag on the production order.

  • Phantom assembly quantity change in production order

    Hello experts,
We are producing 1 type of goods, but for 2 different customers. each of them has their own specification for packaging. as per system it was decided to not create another finished goods partnumber with additional BOM, but instead we created 2 phantom assemblies in 1 BOM. 1 of them is the main (for customer 1), another one is alternative (for customer 2).
Now the idea was that whenever Purchasing is maintaining materials in production orders they were supposed to switch quantity from main phantom assembly to alternative phantom assembly whenever goods were required for customer 2.
We quickly tested the possibility of quantity change on our test server, but not entirely. the thing is, that for some reason you can change phantom assembly required quantity only if it's already has required quantity higher than 0. otherwise the item is greyed out and you can't perform any changes in it.Same happens if you simply reduce required quantity of phantom assembly item to 0. once you do so - the item becomes greyed out as well.
So, the question is - is it some kind of settings in BOM\MMD that prevents user from changing quantities for phantom assemblies (and if it is - where exactly you can change it), or it's something else (like i dunno, maybe user authorization issue or something).
    Any help will be appreciated.
P.S. - i know that you can still simply remove entire item from production order and put it back with quantities and etc., but that way of work has higher risk of making a mistake.

    Dear ,
Couple of points on this issue which may help you understand the problem  : Bom Explosion With Phantom Assemblies will happen based on the following set up .
    1. You need to maintain the special procurement key-50 for the phantom Assembly
in the MRP 2 View of the material master
    2. We can override the Phantom Assembly Setting by defining in SPRO --->
Define Explosion Types so that MRP Creates Procurement Propasals for the
Phantom Assembly itself.ie We can Swith off the Phantom Assembly Settings.
This settting need to be defined in the BOM Item details screen in the Basic
Data Tab Page under MRP Area.
So check in your Bom whether switch off phantom assembly is defined.Make the Explosion Type-Blank
3.Run MRP Single Item - Multi level - Transaction MD02 with Planning Mode 2 : 'Re-explode BOM and Routing'. The Phantom Item will now get exploded correctly in the Planned Order.
4.Check the Validity of the BOM  and planning date
5.Check the MRP4 set up in FG where you have kept the BOM/Routing selection
6.Check wether dependent requirement  material master -MRP4 view -MRP  for Depent Requ should be blank .
Check the above points and come back

  • Assembly to order: change in sales order with change in Production order

I want to activate change in the sales order data when a production order(which is created w.r.t the sales order) data is changed (Strategy 82 used); I have de-activated "No Update" for the corresponding requirement class 201; also the material for which SO created ,is not a part of any Delivery group.
But when I am changing the production order (date/qty.), SO isn't getting updated accoringly.
Please tell me the reason why it isn't happening!!

    Hi
The sales order requirement can be made as the production order receipt once you save the order in the system.
so it is possible to change the receipt according to the sales order reqmt if any changes made in the sales order,
in every entry or changes in the sales order ( if you use the stategy 82) . in back end system explode the BOM and the create the production order as per the order reqmt,
even while you do the changes mad in the sales and save that time sytem re explode the BOM once again and change the production order qty.
but if you change the production order , system not re run or explode the BOM , Routing . such setting is not made in the system . so obviously updation will not happen for the sales order .

  • Plant change in Sales Order not possible due to Sales Order BOM

    Hi all,
we are trying to change the Delivery Plant in a Sales Order after the creation of a Sales Order BOM, but it gives a V1773 message first, then a blocking error V1810. The same happens with a Production Order.
How can we change the Delivery Plant after the creation of one of these objects?
    Our scenario:
    - Make To Order
    - Sales Order BOM created with transaction CS61
    - Sales Order Routing created with transaction CA01
We need to create the Sales Order BOM on the Production Plant (which doesn't change), but we need to be able to change the Delivery Plant in any time.
Should you have further questions, feel free to ask.
    Thanks in advance,
    Giuseppe

    Hello Caselli,
For V1773, please check the solution provided by note 588884, which is a modification. With this note it turns possible to delete all multi-level sales order BOM using transaction CSKB, which may be useful.
The behavior mentioned by you is the standard behavior of the system. The scenario works as designed, a plant change is only possible as long as there is no other document assigned to the sales order.
    Longtext of V1 810 says:
The plant can no longer be changed in the following situations:
        2. There is a production order for the order item but it is not a static assembly order.
Your scenario seems to be point 2 as mentioned above. You can check the requirement type (VBAP-BEDAE) and requirement class in OVZH and assembly type (MNTGA) in OVZG.
If you change the plant for the items with existing production orders, it will cause the incorrect values in the COPA. An order item is assigned to plant A and the corresponding production order exits. This
means that the costs are assigned to plant A (this is the place where the costs accrue). Order and production order will be balanced at plant A.
If you now, after the process has already started, should allow to change the order to plant B the following examples of problems will come up:
    - The costs accrued in plant A (see production order)
    - The SD order is now assigned to plant B, this means billing will be with plant B
This leads to the fact the costs are on plant A, plant B has a benefit. Plant A cannot settle the costs and plant B has unexpected earnings. Inconsistencies in all involved process steps, SD, CO, COPA are the results.
If you want to change the plant in the sales order you'll have to perform these steps:
    = Delete the production order.
= Change the plant of the sales order item from A to C.
This should be possible unless there are other documents which are already assigned to this sales    order item. Save.
= Create a new production order and assign it to the sales order item again.
I hope I am able to help you with this information.

  • Question -  how i can prevent assembly order rescheduling when in VA02 ?

    Hi                                             ( ECC 6.0)
I am working with assembly orders.  In sales order create - the system creates an assembly order - requirements type = dynamic order.
If i amend the sales order a few days later - the system reschedules the assembly order - even when the assembly order is started and has status REL = released.  I get error CO061 - start date in past.. as the system first backwards reschedules and then reschedules forwards.
Question -  any ideas how i can prevent assembly order rescheduling when in sales order change VA02 ? I need the system  to check the production order status and if = REL then prevent the rescheduling.  Putting a change block on the production order does not work as it ultimately breaks the link between sales:assembly order.
I am thinking i need to use an SD user exit to read the assembly order and prevent order changes if the assembly order is = REL.
    thanks in advance
    Graham.

    Hi Ram
We are using dynamic link.  My original solution was to set the 'nochange' on release- however if the sales order qty changed - or the dates changed - or indeed any ATP check was performed - the link was sometimes lost - dependant on user keystrokes.  VA02 still calls assembly order change in this scenario - and the user gets the mesage that no change is present - and ATP returns 0 qty.
What I think i can use is user exit  EXIT_SAPLCOEXT_001 in conjunction with a user status.  I plant to set the status 'block' on release - although configure it to have no action.  In the user exit - called in the interface between sales / assembly order - I plan to check the assembly order for this status and set the error condition if the status is set.  In debug mode - setting the eror manually - this appears to work as the system never calls assembly order change and accepts the assembly order date/qty as 'supply' in the atp check.
    thanks for you assistance.
    regards

  • Availability Check from CRM using ECC / Assembly Order

    Hi,
we're using an ATP Check from ECC to CRM 5.0. As described in the SAP Notes, assembly orders are not supported in this ATP scenario.
Does anybody have experience to overcome this (without implementing APO or creating the orders directly in ECC)? Any enhancements / work arounds?
    Thanks
    Anke

    Hello Anke,
you cannot have both, ATP check in CRM during order change/creation and in ERP when the order gets replicated to ERP-SD.
But when there is no ATP check used in the CRM at all (for the current item category), and the order gets saved in CRM and replicated to ERP, during this replication and order creation in the ERP-SD the regular ATP check in the SD order can run as usual, of course.
This means the scenario can be setup without ATP check in the CRM, but having assembly as usual in ERP-SD. Only the immediate information about the confirmed dates/quantities from the assembly order would be missing in the CRM order.

    Thomas

  • Planning Strategy 81 - Assembly order

    Hello,
My requirement is as follows :-
On  creation of Sales  order Planned order get trigger.
Any changes in sales order should reflect in Planned order.
Any changes in dates of planned order must get reflect in Sales order.
For this I am using planning strategy 81ie Assembly order. If i do changes in sales order the planned order is changed.
But if i change planned order dates system gives message "Assembly order, changes are transferred to Sales Order"
but if i check the sales order there are no changes.
Any one please show some light on this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Abhijit,
    1. Kindly check the setting for hte requirement class in the ovzg.
    2. in this check if hte no update is selected.
    3. As per your requirement no update should be empty

  • Assembly Order

    What is assembly order?
Assembly order is created / released, what kind of changes in sales order will update the assembly order? for ex: quantity change

    dear,
please go through the link first..to get some idea ofassembly order
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/cb/7f9b7043b711d189410000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
    In nutshell -
Assembly orders are created when you create a sale order directly, not during MRP run. Now you can make the system to create production order or planned order as per your requirement.
About the qty - I have not understood...whan you create a sale order for let us say 10 qty, system will create order for 10 qty...
    please come back if required.

  • Assembly order update issue

    Hi,
In assembly order scenario, changes in planned order (order quantity or order execute date) is not updating the corresponding Sale order at times.  Not able to simulate the scenario even.  Any hellp.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear ,
In SAP R/3 , when ever you are changing  any date or qty for Planned Order or Production Ordre refernce to Sales  demand ,will  not change the Qty /date in the demand element( sales order /pir /schedule line aggrement ) .Where as other way , it does change for the un-firmed procurement proposal ( un-firmed planned order ) .i.e if you change sales order qty or schedule delivery date  and re-run MRP , it will change the dates and qty in UN-FIRMED planned order .
When you are running MRP -Single Item Multiplevel -MD02 or Make To Order (MD50) , system generates Planned Order  for FG and PR for shoratge qty of dependent qty .
Now , if you change the qty or date in Planned  of FG (MD04-Enter material -Selct Planned Order -Select Change Mode )  and Hit the Schedule Planned Order  and SAVE , it will be firmed Order  and will not be treated any more for MRP relevent changes .
Just test a demo fot he same in Sand Box .Create a sale  order in VA01 , relase the sales order after availablity check  and note sales order schedule delivery date .Now , run MRP on this through MD50 or MD02 , generate planned order .Check the result in MD04, select the planned Order , change the qty , change the Planned order Opening /start /finish date and hit scheule planned order button , save .Come back to MD04 screen and re-fesrh .Now re-run the MRP-MD02, it will not change the Sales Order delivery date .
Rather , if you goto MD04-Select the Sales Order  and selet the line itmem and hit Availability check key , then it will propose you the availability date as per the chnages  and you can continue with the same .It depends on the Repleishment Lead time assinged to Material master MRP3 view
    Hope it is clear .

    Hi
Once the goods are produced/assembled, you have to receive into your stock then only it will show as available quantity.
Find out the assembly order . You can find out by going to the item details > schedule line tab > click on the "Procurement" tab > you will find the Assembly order no.
Go to the Header of the Assembly order, where you can find the "Start date" and the "Finish date" of assembly processing.
The "Finish date" of the Assembly order corrosponds to the "Material availability date" of the SD department.
But, you have to receive the goods as a special stock into your Plant in the Storage location, then only it will show as available quantity.
To, receive the goods ,use transaction code MB31(goods receipt for order).
Use, Movement type - 101, specify the Assembly order no., Plant, Storage location and click on the "Adopt + details" button.
In the next screen, enter the material and quantity and save it.
Now, your stock is received in your Plant as a special stock called "Sales order stock".
You can check the stock in MMBE.

  • "Assembly order - avalability check"

    Hi Guys
When creating an assembly order - VA01 for a material with a BOM,
availabilty check takes place automatically and shows all items as missing.
How ever I checked plant and SLoc there is enough unristricted stock for all materials.
Is there any reason for this?

    Bharat,
Please do following. I had similar issue with static assembly orders. Refer SAP note 80891.
In Transaction OVB5 ( VOFM) (Maintain: Requirements & Formulas), choose the menu options "Requirements -> Subsequent functions -> Purch.req./assembly".
The system displays the change view of table TVFO with the following entries:
    RNo  Requirement          SyRoutine     System requir.
    102   PReq                  2           System: BANF
    105   Assembly              5           System: Assembly
    106   Block construction     0
Remove requirement 105 (replace it with blanks) for processing the subsequent function "Assembly".
Note: Requirement 106 is an identical copy of requirement 105. It contains the credit status check. The line refers to the subsequent fucntion "Set or remove construction block".
After this change, the reference of the sales order to the production order is retained even if the credit status is changed, and in production order, the system status ASSB (assembly lock indicator, ISTAT=I0341) is set or deleted depending on the result of the credit check. The production order has no deletion flag and no new production order is created after a later credit release.
    thanks,
    Ram

  • Restrict manual change in sales order with respect to quotation

    Hi All,
The user use to create sales order with respect to quotation.  The user can able to change pricing as well as some header and item fields.  How can I restrict user for manual change in sales order expect some specific fields.
    Thanks.

    Hi Sunil,
It is possible through configuration better you can post in sd forums.
For the condition type settings , ensure that the manual entries is 'D'. it wont allow any changes in the order.

  • Report on changes to sales orders

    Hi Experts,
I am looking for a way to report on changes to sales orders, specifically the row shipping date and quantity.
I can see that the data is apparently in tables ADOC and ADO1 but am having trouble getting useful results. What I need is a report that, for sales orders only and for a date range, shows all changes to row quantities or row shipping dates. The type of output that would be useful is:
Change date  - document # - row# - Item code - old shipping date - new shipping date - old qty - new qty
filtered on change date for sales orders only. This seems beyond my preferred option of XL-Reporter and I'm getting lost in the history tables in creating a query.
    Best Regards
    Matthew

    Hi,
Without doing the query for you, history tables are linked as the "normal" table but with the addition of the LogInstance column. Then the UpdateDate column (from base table ie. ADOC) will tell you when it was changed.
Your query isn't an easy one... SInce you have to link an instance (ie. LogInstance = 1, which will be the original created object) to all the modified ones.
    Regards,
    Eric
