CJ40 Versions

Dear All,
In SAP PS we are doing cost planning thro cj40 tcode.
Now i wanted to crate four new versions which i am going to be used for balance peroid cost planning.
For this i have created new versions in spro, but problem is these versions are not getting dispalyed in cj40 tcode .
That must be dispalyed in cj40 because i have to use thses new versions while doing cost planning.
pls help me out.

Dear Venkat,
I have created one version "PP1" as a "H1 Capitalization plan".
Then I selected "PP1" Version row, then gone to left side their is a "Controlling Area Setting". In that clicked on "Settings for Each Fiscal Year"
One small window gets populated as a "Determine work area:Entry". In that i have taken proper Controlling Area & Version ( PP1 ).
Then click on continue.
After that one Error Mesage came, Which is as follows "Entry PP1 does not exist in TKA09 (check entry)"
When i click on Help button following details is showing,
Entry PP1 does not exist in TKA09 (check entry)
Message no. 00058
Diagnosis: Input values must be defined in Table TKA09. The value or values 'PP1' are not specified in this table.
Procedure: Check whether the input is correct and correct if necessary.
Procedure for System Administration: If this is not an incorrect entry, check the system settings and changethem if necessary.
If there is a connection to the Customizing system, you can maintain the system settings by choosing Customizing in the Performance Assistant or Maintain Entries (F5) when displaying the help in a modal dialog box.
Pls go thro' details.
How to go about this.

Total Up not working in Cost Plan Version

Dear Expert,
I had selected the Bottom-up planning indicator in T-code OPSB for Cost Planning profile, due to which automatic Total Up is activated in CJ40 Transaction for Default version '0' but when same cost plan will be copied into other version '1' from version '0' from Transcation CJ9BS, Total up is not happining automatically,
I have to manually need to do the total up,
pls suggest, is there is any config issue ??

About CJ40 and CJ41 Tcodes

Hi,
Is their any flow in PS module and what is the use of this tcodes ( cj40and 41). Can any one explain about the Tcodes : CJ40 and CJ41..

CJ40 is for Cost Planning at WBS element. This method is used when Network Costing is not used. In CJ40 u can do Overall planning or Annual Planning. Also Cost planning can be done in different version to capture differrnt plans.
CJ41 is to display cost planning done CJ40.

Tracking of changes made in CJ40/CJ42

Hello PS Gurus,
As there is no standard report available to track/monitor the changes done in CJ40/CJ42 for a perticular CO Version, Can anybody help me on how to track the changes made for the cost/revenue planning in cj40/cj42 ?

Hi Virender,
Thanks for your help. This helped me to achieve the exact requirement.
CJI4 is only to track the changes made while using detailed cost planning but in our case this doesn't helps me.
As we are using structural cost planning, CJID report helps to track the changes made in CJ40 w.r.t structural cost planning yearly and overall level.

Cost Planning Details not reflecting in new version

i.e
1 I planned material costs in .Cj40 > Primary Cost > Edit >Detailed Planning >Change
Here we maintain material cost, service cost, BPO etc
2.When we copy the version from '0' to new version which i have created copying the 1 version.Or say '0' version to '1' version then material cost is not reflecting in new version cost planning after CJ9BS.

When i am planning cost using cj40 than checking report cns41 so this is not showing cost planned via cj40.

You must not use version 0

Release version 0 for cost planning.

Viewing CO versions in project planning board

Hello,
I have saved two CO versions of my project. When i go to the project planning board the approved plan column is full of data and looks great but the other version as no information. I have SAPALL so this isn't an authorization issue. Can someone please help me work out was is wrong?

Hi,
Basically there are possibilities of creating Plan version.
1) one you can create in CJ40 by manually feeding the Version ex:0,1,2 etc....
2) create one version in CJ40 and copy the same to another version in CJ9BS.
once the versions are created make the changes of values in the respective versionand save the changes.
Please check the version comparission in S_ALR_87013539 - Project Version Comparison: Plan.
Comming to plan board which fields did you picked up for comparission?

CJ40 - Project Cost Planning By project and wbs

Cost planning in cj40

Dear Experts,
I did cost planning in Cj40 for version 1 i.e planning version.
when i display it in cj41 its ok.
but when i run a report s_alr_87013534 which is plan1 X plan2 X actual X commitment
system asks for
plan 1 = 0 version
Plan2 = 1 version
then in report no planned cost is there for in version 1.
Please tell me that whether i am missing some steps or what?

Hi,
As you wrote that you did planning in version 1 and you can see it in CJ41 by seleting plan version 1.
in report s_alr_87013534 you are giving following selection criteris
Plan1 = 0
Plan2 = 1
So here system is giving details in Plan1 for the planning version 0
and in plan2 for the planning vesion 1
As you had not done any planning in vesion 0 so you are not getting data in plan1 and getting data in plan 2 as you had done planning in version 1.
Even in CJ41 if you select data for version 0 system will not give any data.

CJ40/BADI/ BT events in CJ40 for transfering the Cost Planning Data

I need urgent help as i am unable to find any User Exit, Badi or BT events for CJ40 as my reuirement is to transfer the Cost Plannign Data into some third party System at the time of creation of Planning, so kindly help me in findinf out the Solution ASAP

Pl help me this regards, why syste, block this perticuler cost element 1399999 for the year 2011 only and for this wbs only.

Copy Project to different CO Version down to activity level

We have tried to copy a project from one CO version to another using transaction CJ9B, but it only copies to the WBS element level. Is there a transaction that will copy a project to a different CO version that included components down to the activity level?

In Cost Planning for CO version 0 (Plan version 0) in CJ40 you are planning costs at WBS level, not at activity level.
So where the question of copying activity cost come?
Activity costs come at activity level planning, not in plan version level.
Which as mentioned can be copied by simulation version, project version.

Change cost planning after copying to different CO version

Hi,
I have done network cost planning through project builder, after completing this I copied my cost planning to different CO version. Now I'm not able to change values of second CO version. I can see the figures in reports, but not able to change using CJR2 or CJ40 transactions.

Full authorization is provided to the user, and the required fiscal year too is configured in second CO version. This is not solved the problem!
If my understanding is correct, only version 0 can have network costing, all others will have either cost element based or WBS element based cost planning.
Now, when a network costing is copied to another CO version, the destination version can't hold cost planning in the form of network costing then what type costing second version would be having and how one can modify the value and quantity in that version?

Copying annual revenue planning into a CO version

Dear All,
I have condtion where we do planning of revenue on annual basis with GL. And we have overall cost planning. Tcode used was CJ42 and CJ40 respectively. We do not want to plan cost on annual basis.
Because of above condtion when we copy planning into other co versions revenue planning was not got copied. Tcode used was CJ9FS.
We have lock year up dation in CO versions because we got wrong values of cost planning into versions. So that yearwise revenue values not got copied into versions.
Is there any standard way to copy annual revenue plan into co versions with maintaining above conditions or any work arround?
We are using RA, because of that we have to use annual revenue planning to use GL.

New Applescript version breaks old code

Hi there,
First off, I'm not an Applescripter, but I have one script I wrote a few years back (with help from kind people on the net) to generate and save tiny applications which, when called from within an Adobe Flash executable, would open the required file using the Mac OS native application associated with them (i.e a doc file wouldbe opened by Word if installed, TextEdit if not...)
It used to run fine on my old Powerbook G4 on an old version of AppleScript, but times change and, one whizzy Intel processor later, I'm trying to get the same script running on OS 10.8 with AppleScipt 2.5.1, with varied results.
Basically, what the script should do is read a comma delimited file in the same folder as the script, called 'fileNames.csv' which contains the names of all the files that I want the tiny apps to open. Each item will then have its own file created by the AppleScript, named after each item, which get saved in an pre-existing folder in the same directory as the script and fileNames.csv file, called 'fscommand'.
The example of the fileNames.csv file I'm having issues with:
yr2_unit_1_tn.doc,yr2_unit_2_tn.doc,yr2_unit_3_tn.doc ... etc up until yr2_unit_20_tn.doc
The script always used to work fine, but the new version of AppleScript seems to have broken it. When I run it now, it creates all the .app files up until 'yr2_unit_11_tn.doc.app' but then stalls in 'Running...' mode in the AppleScipts editor, and refuses to save apps for the final nine files in the .csv file.
It still runs ok from an older AppleScript editor (2.2.1) but this only saves PowerPC applications, which won't run on Intel Macs. And this would be me running away from the problem, rather than attempting to solve it ;-)
I'm thinking it's a filename issue, as it always seems to break when attempting to save "yr2_unit_11_tn.doc.app" when "yr2_unit_1_tn.doc.app" already exists in the 'fscommand' folder. If I create a new 'fileNames.csv' file which only contains ten entries from 'yr2_unit_11_tn.doc' to 'yr2_unit_20_tn.doc', and run the script to an empty 'fscommand' folder, it processes all the files fine. It just won't do all twenty entries from 1 to 20.
Here's the script. I know I'm doing something really stupid here, but as a rock bottom novice AppleScripter, I can't see the error, or why it would work in one version of AppleScript and not another. That seemed to be it. I put a tiny delay in between saving the document and closing the window and the file runs smoothly through all 20 items.
