Co product object in backflush

Hi, Experts,
When we backflush with MFBF, we could chose make to order selection,
When we input the Plan order choice, The Sale order line item are pop up.
Actually we are charge to the Sale line item as a Cost object?
Can we link the Production cost collector to a Plan order?
In the SAP standard solutions, we can link PCC to Production order.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Thanks Rajesh and All,
Thanks a lot for helping me out...
Well i got the clear confirmation from SAP AG on this issue. Please see the details below.
Update from SAP.
"Thank you for contacting SAP Active Global Support.
Unfortunately the process repetitive manufacturing with product cost collectors does not support co-production
(see also chapter Cost Object Controlling -> Product Cost By Period ->
Special Requirements in Joint Production).
Therefore the settlement rule won't reflect the apportionment structure to co-products
Therefore any apportionment structure is not taken into account in actual and the cost collectors do not reflect co-products in the settlement rule either.
I have doubts that the co-production can be exactly modeled by utilizing the cost object hierarchy. But it is possible to use the cost object hierarchy to collect actual costs on levels above the material or cost collector level and to distribute them to the according cost collectors or production orders. You could do that but the apportionment structure is not taken into account and you need to have a cost collector/order for each material. Furthermore, if the cost estimates reflect co-production, this might lead to variances in the variance calculation because the plan- and actual values do not match becaause of the co-products in the cost estimate.
I am sorry for the negative answer this time.

• Tying Model field in Opportunity object to Product object

(to clarify from a previous post...)
I'd like to use the out-of-box model field or create a new one in Opportunity that allows users to search through the contents of the product object. This is already done for the Assets object but I neither know how that mechanism works nor how to replicate it for Opportunity.
Anyone else try this? How did you implement it?

You can search the product object within the Asset object. However, in reference to the Opportunity object you need to select the Revenue Product object under the Opportunity to search the product object.

• 101 movement not happening when production order got backflushed.

HI SAP Gurus,
For SKU 101 movement not happening when production order got backflushed, but 261 movement successfully happened. Please let us know any settings need to check?
Thanks and Regards,
SHARAN.

Hi Sharan,
A 101 movement for the production order takes place when
- You receive the production order via MB31
or
- Confirm the last operation which has PP03 control key
A backflush is done only for the components called by the production order & not for the header material.
Hope the above answers your query.

Hi,
May be you are telling is correct but i am unable to follow..
Please correct if my understanding is wrong....
1. I have Created one BEx Truck Request...it is not Released so far..So, it is there in SE09 of BW DEV
2. Selected Queried and work books --- Grouping --- Only necessary objects -- Collection mode -- automatic...(Default all queries and workbooks selected as check box)
3. Click Transport truck (Which is beside of Grouping Option)..
4. Created one request and then released... But not imported into BW Production..
5. Now I have modified all the queried (Change text)
6. RSA1 -- Transport connection -- Selected modified queried...
7. Grouping only necessary objects and collected mode --automatic...
8. Selected modified queries and dragged into right side...
My question here is they are not checked check box under transport?...shall i check it?
Shall i release Old BEx Request? and then before transporting these new modified queries Create another BEx Request?
or else..
Create new request for modified Queries? and then transport?
Now the situation is i have already created transport request for modified queries..What to do? shall i release them also?...

• Is it possible to report on product object?

Hi,
I have used CO7 to create a Product Fulfillment record which is linked to a Product and Account. I tried to create a report and display all fields using "Advanced Custom Objects" area. I was surprised that a product is not there for CO7 (Product Fulfillment) even it is linked to it.
Is there any workaround for this? Will Oracle make this work in the future release?
Thank in advance,
Jurijs.

Thanks for the guidance on this.
So it sounds like I have 2 options:
1. install 'mrtg' per the instructions you've provided. This will give me near real-time graphs of what is going through my Time Capsule to and from the internet. Do you know if it gives any summary information as well (up and down)? I'm really intererested in seeing total usage over a given time period, or
2. configure my 2wire to monitor data throughput, I have no issue plugging another computer into this periodically to pick up the stats. If you have any more details on how to configure this I would really appreciate it.
I really don't want to spend more moeny on another router if I can avoid it.
MRTG should give total throughput.. but please note carefully the PC, Mac whatever, has to be on 24/7 to do this. In the end the router, even the Netgear will save you money because it uses 10-20x less power.
Saving money on a router.. to spend it on a hidden power bill is not actually saving you in the long run.. with our power prices going up like crazy it was about a year to pay for itself.. it will be less in the future. When you see what a proper box designed for the job can do, you will never want to go back.
2. 2wire.. yeah what a pain they are.. you need to set it up as a router doing pppoa authentication. Then go to the advanced configuration under /192.168.0.254/mdc and select dmz and direct it to the IP address of the TC wan port. (Please replace the IP above with the correct IP for the 2wire).
The trick then is to set wireless in the 2wire (does it have wireless??) to a different SSID than the TC uses and you can then connect to it quickly and easily via the airport in your mac.. and read the ethernet connection values. That is the easiest way I can think of.

• Production task confirm/backflush operations

Hey,
I am using the ManagedProducitonLots web services to complete an integration prouect with a third party application. Part of this project will require the third party application to confirm the productionTask. The ability to update the confirmQuantity is available but this does not complete all the same operations as using the 'confirm' button on the productionTask UI. I was hoping that the 'confirm' method would just be an operation in the ManagedProductionlots webservice but its not, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has a workaround for this, or an alternative solution to using this functionality.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Cameron,
1) Go to OP67, here double click on ur control key
2) then last option would be Confirmations
3) so make this field as required for you
4) For all operations make the field as confirmation not required
5) then for last operation make as Mile stone confirmation
6) then confirm the last operation in CO11N
7) or directly confirm the order in CO15

• Insert revenue object (Products dependency is that true)

Hi, while inserting Revenue Object in Opportunities POD, is it necessary to relate it with Product object ?
Do we receive errors and exceptions when we try to insert the List of Revenue directly into CRM On Demand ?
If so what is the exception and what is the workaround ?

The answer is, Yes, it is true.
Opportunity Product Revenue (called different names in WS 1.0 and 2.0, etc) is an item related to both Opportunity and Product.
The error message would differ depending on version of WS: 1.0 or 2.0, but there is no workaround: you would have to specify the related product - by its name, row Id, or External System Id.

• Production Order backflush does not occur

Hi Gurus,
PLease help on the below issue.
In my company, all the components in the production are using backflush. When GR the production order, the backflush will be automatic.
Issue is we found one order did not backflush after GR. Other orders with same material did backflush well.
I checked the reservation agains the problem order, I found the only difference is that the reservation item is from 10.
The item number of reservations in those good orders is from 01.
I am not quite sure if this is the reason.
If it is, how system worked like this and how to resolve it, please suggest.
If i am wrong, please direct me the right way.
Thanks for your help.
Bryan

Hi Bryan
1.Check whether you have set backflush ind for all those material or not. if set then check COGI.
2.This case arises if you are doing backflush through customizing i. e. through oder confirmation parameter you set Goods mov All comp is set. Then you wont required backflush to be set in Material master but at the time of confirmation if dont go to goods movenent screen then this material will not be backflush.
Check it out

• Individual Object assigned 2 Reference Product

I want to use Individual Object with referencing Data from Products in CRM 5.0 SAPGUI.
Help link CRM 5.0:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/a9/42388d7cb5c24ba5a3701a13aa9ea4/frameset.htm
The steps I made:
In trx COMM_HIERARCHY I added the following category:
R3PRODSTYP
- MAT
-- MAT_HAWA
--- ID_REF (added)
For cat MAT_HAWA, in tab Relnship Types:
- PRDSCPS Customer/Distribution Chain for Product
- IOBMP S IOBMP/S
- IOBQFRS IOBQFR/S
- PROREFS Reference Product for Individual Object
For cat ID_REF:
Assigned to object family Z001
Additional Settype ZS0001
I have created a material Z900016 of the type MAT_HAWA,
In the Installed Base 100, I created a component Building A. Tab Product I added the created material Z900016. Tab Individual Object I added Family Z001 and Object ID z1234. After selecting the IO component I press the icon Component Detail.
I can see my additional settype ZS0001 chars but I don't see the reference data of Z900016.
Any suggestion is appreciated,
Kim

Dear Raj,
Thnks for reply but the problem remains. Just to be sure:
Product Z900016 has the category MAT_HAWA. The date maintained for this category is:
MAT_HAWA:
- Tab CATEGORY: Product/Object Assignment Possible
- Tab RELNSHIP TYPES: Reference Product for Indivual Object
One level down of MAT_HAWA the category ID_REF is maintained:
- Object Family: Z001
I create IB 415 Customer 01
- Building A (Text)
-- 900016 (Product)
--- Family Z001 (object fam) + Z900016V01 (Object ID)
When I open the pop-up for Object ID you can search using 'REFERENCE PROD ID' but the system doesn't show any hits. When I enter Z900016v01 and select 'Component Detail' I see the own settype and the general settypes of the product. But the date in the general settypes are all empty.

• Post to Cost Centers on Production Order Backflush

I have a question.
Is it possible to post Goods Issue (Backflush) of components to a Cost Center when doing this via the Production Order Confirmation?
Normally, when the components of a Production Order are backflushed, instead of posting to a cost center, they post to the Production Order.
My intention is to use the Cost Center from the Work Center assigned to the Operation in question.
Is this possible?

dear Fernando,
the cost center which u r using for the work center to capture the operation cost only. Ur GI is taking automaticaly with ur confirmation, and goods are getting posted to order. finally the cost which is costing for that work center usage is also go order only.
if u dont want material cost to flow to order u tick all for all component materials as bulk material in MRP view and issue material aganist cost center in MB1A with mov. type 201 and do the confirmation, so GI will not take place to order.
i hope this will clear ur doubt

• Use of Product cost collector in REM

Hi All,
I am new to PP module, I got some doubts when working on costing of the product.
1. In REM scenario why do we need an extra step of creating product cost collector ??
2. when a product is produced will the prod cost collector is used for both debiting(raw and semi) and crediting(finished prod) ?

Dear Reddy,
1.Product cost collector is the cost collecting object for a period based production or in a REM - repetitive manufacturing
scenario.
2.Without having any product cost collector you cannot carryout production confirmation(assembly backflush) for a product.
3.So for all the products for which production confirmation will be declared requires a individual product cost collector.
4.Prior to this you require a production version for the material.
5.Production version and a product cost collector is also the master data for a REM scenario.
Now check and revert back.
