Production task confirm/backflush operations

Hey,
I am using the ManagedProducitonLots web services to complete an integration prouect with a third party application.  Part of this project will require the third party application to confirm the productionTask.  The ability to update the confirmQuantity is available but this does not complete all the same operations as using the 'confirm' button on the productionTask UI.  I was hoping that the 'confirm' method would just be an operation in the ManagedProductionlots webservice but its not, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has a workaround for this, or an alternative solution to using this functionality.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Cameron,
1) Go to OP67,  here double click on ur control key
2) then last option would be Confirmations
3) so make this field as required for you
4) For all operations make the field as confirmation not required
5) then for last operation  make as Mile stone confirmation
6) then confirm the last operation in CO11N
7) or directly confirm the order in CO15

  • Production Order confirmation - GI - Backflushing

    Hello,
Our requirement is that during, production order confirmation, even if materials are not available, system should allow us to confirm the order. Later will issue GI through COGI.
In OPK4, in the tab "Individual Entry General" we have not checked the boxes in 1) Goods Movements & 2) Termination for Incorrect movements.
Here the important point is , we are making use of the functionality "Back Flushing". Iam afraid system should support our requirement?
Pl. let me know, what config, should i do for this to happen?
    Best regards,
    K.kumar.

1 Our requirement is that during, production order confirmation, even if materials are not available, system should allow us to confirm the order. Later will issue GI through COGI.
This setting is enough for above Requiremnt

  • Serial Number. Production Order Confirmation. GR. UD. Sales Delivery

    Hi Gurus,
Please help on this issue to get any user exits .....
As part of Serial number management, we have a certain issues on serial number confirmation, goods receipt from production order and quality inspection with UD.
    Master data:
Finished product material master, Workscheduling view, Serial number profile maintained " ASRN"
    Process flow:
    1) Avalon Specific Serial numbers generation for finished goods through production order release status.
                  (A11206000001)
                                        A  - Avalon
                                        1   - PCB Unit 1
                                        12 - Year 2012
                                        06 - Week
000001 - Running serial number for the week.
    2) Production order confirmation through CO11n transaction.
    3) Production order Goods receipt through MIGO transaction against order.
    4) Quality Inspection with Usage Decision through QA32 transaction.
    5) Goods Issue for Delivery.
    SAP Product Error:
    1) System does not track and control the operation wise confirmed serial numbers during order confirmation.
    2) System does not track and control the finally confirmed serial numbers during order goods receipt.
    3) System does not track and control the last goods receipt qty in Usage Decision.
    4)  For semi finished product, if we maintain serial number profile in workscheduling view, system is not showing goods issue material list in Co11n transaction for the finished goods.
    5) Interfacing the serial number reading scanner with SAP,  is not working without entering material number and serial number manually.
    6) System does not tracking and controlling the last Usage Decision done serial number during Goods issue to Sale order Delivery.
    Regards,
    Santha

    Hi Santha,
This is a bit vast, but I'll try to address at least some of the issues:
1- serial number in operation confirmation is not possible, for the reason that serailization is part of stock management, and as WIP in an order, this is not stock yet. Actually you cannot confirm the manufactured material either, and those 2 go together.
For tracking specificly WIP, there's something called WIP batches; you may look into it to see if you can use it.
2- during GR system will propose those SNs that you have defined for the order at release or creation.
    3- ?
4- GI in CO11N is provided only for BACKFLUSHED material components. Serialized materials CANNOT be backflushed.
5- You can use a barcode reader to read the serial number (instead of keyboard entry) when cursor is on the right field in the respective screen.

    Hi expers,
I've got a production order using backflush and Auto GR for last operation(Control Key with Auto GR Tick). After the confirmation operation had been done, the end user cancelled the goods receipt using T-code/MvT:MIGO/ 102 by mistake, and then using T-code CO13 cancelld the confirmation. Now  the delivered qty of the production order is negative, the material document generated by using MIGO/102 by mistake can't be cancelled, i also tried to do a migo with 101,the abap program dump.  the production order can not even be viewed by using CO03.The ABAP program dump.

  • 101 movement not happening when production order got backflushed.

    HI SAP Gurus,
For SKU 101 movement not happening when production order got backflushed, but 261 movement successfully happened. Please let us know any settings need to check?
    Thanks and Regards,
    SHARAN.

    Hi Sharan,
A 101 movement for the production order takes place when
    - You receive the production order via MB31
    or
    - Confirm the last operation which has PP03 control key
A backflush is done only for the components called by the production order & not for the header material.
Hope the above answers your query.

  • Confirmation/backflushing of finished goods

    Hello all,
We sometimes produce finished goods using other finished goods.  We have them added to BOMs accordingly, however, during Production Order confirmation CO15 they do not show up in the list of other components. Backflush indicator etc is set.
What's the setting to allow us to confirm them? I poked around in Material Type setup but nothing caught my eye.
    Many thanks...

Thank you for your replies! I apologize, I just realized I asked the wrong question. The finished goods components do show up in the confirmation.
The problem is that these finished goods components don't create any demand in MRP. That's because we are on gross requirements planning.
I guess this goes back to my needs to have both independent (PIRs) and dependent (OrdRes) requirements active in MRP, and SAP for some reason doesn't do that.

  • Functional location Task lists Header/Operation Mass Upload

    Hello experts,
I am using LSMW to upload Functional location Task lists Header & Operations in T-code IA12, for this i am using the Standard program IBIP (Object -> 480).
All required fields are in the standard structures apart from Operation QM Data, Recording view -> ERFSICHT & Inspection point Completion -> QPPKTABS (see attached screen shot).
Should i upload these 2 fields in different way ?
    Thank you by advance.
    Regards,
    Soufiane

Generally, for all kinds of task list (Maintenance, Quality as well as Production), I tend to use BDC programs by which all the fields can be addressed. In standard, there are certain fields which might have got avoided for certain reasons.
So, I suggest you to look for some other options available.

  • Batch split  during  production order confirmation

    Hi All,
This is the process which  is followed  at our  customer  end, they want  to  split the batches  during  confirmation,
    1.Production order created
2.While  going through each operation, some components are failing in the in-process inspection and  they need to be quarantained  for  further  process,(it may be rework, scrap, etc)
3.Now  the  question is  we  want  to create  individual  batches, say  for  example out  of  100qty  which went  operation number 10,   50  were found  to be o.k.  and  the  remaining  50 are  having  defects, we want  to  create  two  different  batches  for this  scenario at  the  time  of  confirmation.
Is there anyway  in SAP todo  this , like userexit
Has anybody  has  gone through  similar  scenario's
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Venkat.

    Dear Vanket,
In the operation you can confirm Yield, Scrap and rework quantity.
In your case in each operation you need to create a batch for each qty what you enter.
As I told you before batch can be created either production order release or during GR.
In each operation you are not going to perform GR, hence batch creation is not possible.
You have 2 options as I see.
    1. Create different intermediate materials and have production orders for each operation so that you can do the GR for each production order.
You can have the same batch for each stage material so that issuing material and production materials are different but batch is same.
If there is any defective quantity you need to decide you want to scrap it or you want to go for rework. If you want to go for rework then, using trigger point function you can create a auto rework order for the qty of rework entered during confirmation.
    2. Second option is you can create a production order as you are doing now, but you need to create batch manually in MSC1n transaction for rework as well as yield qty.
You can confirm the yield qty and rework qty, but you cannot assign the batch as you are not performing GR. You can enter the batch number in the confirmation text field for information purpose. During the final operation when you do the GR, assign the batch to yield qty and post. About the rework qty you are not going to post qty to store, you need to create rework order and confirm the qty, during GR you can assign the batch and do GR.
If you ask me if you need to strict process to represent your case you need to go for first case.
Please go through the above carefully and test the cycle and come back if you need any clarification.

  • Production order confirmation problems

My production facility has been having problems for years centered around the production order confirmation process.  My colleagues and I are considering submitting an OSS note to SAP, but figured that we should present our problems in these forums before making that next step.
Here are some individual issues which I believe may be related.  All of these issues occur off and on at random.  They will typically occur when more users are working in the SAP system or when SAP is running slow.
    - When an order is confirmed and a label is printed, sometimes the quantity on the label will be incorrect.  Sometimes no label will print out at all.  When the order is unconfirmed and then reconfirmed again, a label prints out with the correct quantity.
    - When a confirmation is unconfirmed, the unconfirmation will not backflush the associated materials correctly.  Sometimes this error will appear in CO1P for us to re-confirm, but not always.
    - Sometimes confirmations will only backflush certain materials and not ALL the components within the production order.  When the confirmation is unconfirmed and then reconfirmed again, the confirmation will backflush all materials correctly.
These problems occur at random intervals and never present the user with an error.  Close to 100% of the time all the confirmation issues will be corrected by simply u201Cre-doingu201D the confirmation as we did the first time (no changes in the process).  Only the second time around there will not be any issues.  This leads me to believe there is some internal issue with SAP, perhaps involving which tables CO11N pulls from when a confirmation is made.
Any and all help is appreciated.  We currently run the AFS version of SAP.  This is my last stop before submitting an OSS note.

    Hi,
I have not worked on AFS, so consider the below as a pointer which might help:
When you post confirmations & notice that the components are not being backflushed, check in COGI it could be that there are some incorrect goods movement. You will be required to clear these entries from COGI.
I suspect that you notice these because, the confirmations are being posted even before the stock for the same has been received & hence the issue with labels as well.
Do a check on the above, if it resolves the issue, then i would suggest re-design the process to ensure you do not have COGI or COFC entries.
Also do a search in OSS for AFS specific notes on confirmation.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • Production order component backflush

    Hi all
I have the backflush indicator for the components in my production order. Also the " Goods Movement all components" tick in the Production Order Confirmation Parameters.
But when i am confirming the production order (Final Confirmation), the system is not posting the Goods Issue of the components. this is sitting as a Post Processing Record and is being Scheduled for some time.
I didnt schedule any program for background process but this is still happenning. Could someone please help me out. This is quite urgent.
    Points for sure
    Regards

    hi,
U must not be having enough stock of the components or storage los may be missing for the components
Some Account assignment problem can be there.
Check in COGI, u will find the cause of failed goods mvt

  • Equipment as PRT's during Production Order Confirmation

    Hi Gurus,
During Production Order confirmation I cannot see whether I have consumed equipments as PRT which are attached to operation.
The operation is showing CNF status as well the Order.
How can I see whether which Equipment was used for each operation since there can be more than one equipment as a PRT's for a single operation.
    Regards
    Nilesh

I use Production Order confirmation hence saw it in CO14 and checked that PRT's are in PRT REL status..I guess this is what you mean to say right??
Thank you so much for your response.

  • GR qty showing less than production order confirmation qty

    Hello Experts,
    Greetings.
My issue is while doing production order confirmation(CO12),for some materials it shows less GR quantity than the confirmation qty.I m wondering how it can be possible?
    What could be the problem?
    Plz advice.
    Thanks
    Nitin

Confirmed qty of each operation and delivery qty at the header are two different fields.   Confirmed qty will be the same with the yield to conf. during confirmation.  Whereas, the GR qty is equal to the total sum of quantity received from the order.
Check whether during confirmation you create auto GR or not.  If yes, then check the COGI t-code.  There might be some error log of goods receipt in there.  If no, then check GR qty in document goods movement compared to confirmed qty during confirmation.
    Hope it helps.

  • Production Order Confirmation - 2 questions: rework and link_conf question.

    Hello everybody,
I'm currently using the bapi BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT to (partial/final) confirm operations of Production Orders (PO). First I fill the timetickets table with relevant information about the amount that I'd like to conform. The goodsmovement is done automaticly according to the normal process. All goes well.
My first problem is the following: When I'd like to confirm a 531 instead of a 101 movement, I have to create my own goodsmovements table. I also have to fill my link_conf_goodsmov table. The question is: what kind of index do I have to fill in? Just a simple: "1, 1" if i'd like to refer to the first confirmation in the timetickets table and the first entry in the goodsmovement table? I tryed this but somehow the standard goodsmovement is always performed, not my new goodsmovement.
My second problem is the following: When I (partially) confirm a rework amount with a reason added using CO11, it askes if I'd like to perform a confirmation function (trigger point). When I say yes, it also creates a new operation.
The problem is that, when I (partially) confirm a operation with a reworkamount using my own bapi, if returns a message that I can ownly perform the confirmation function in dialog mode. Therefor it does not perform the trigger point and it does not create a new operation. My question is: is it possible to execute such a function/triggerpoint AND create the newly suggested opertation using my Bapi?
    Hope you can help me.
    Best wishes and kind regards.
    Laurens Steffers

    Laurens!
Did you solve you problem about link_conf_goodsmov table
I am trying  post goods movement, but
    It's not working

  • Production Order confirmation Issues-VC Environment:

    I have the following scenario,
My ROH is a Sheet Board. My FERT (configurable material) is a BOX.
The manufacturing process is such that the ROH fed is converted into FERT at the end of last operation. There is no SEMIFINISHED part in between.
All my operation details are wrt the ROH.
Sales order would be for FERT and hence the Production Order is also for FERT.
Currently the confirmation is taking place wrt the quantity of FERT, but it should take place wrt the ROH material quantity being fed at each operation.
How should I confirm the Production Order at each Operation wrt the ROH Quantity?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jags

    Dear,
If you want operation confirmaion go to co11n t.code then enter the operation desired, then confirm the fert, Confirmation is for finished product. In any manufacturing process the raw material is consumed giving fert, hence the consumption field is present in goods movement, which is present in the top of the screen. first enter fert confirmation, then enter the tab goods movement,  automatically your RoH is visible with the quantity given in the Bom. Suppose if you want to change the quantity as desired You can change the quantity and save. The saved quantity is saved in the consumption Account. If you want you can directly get the consumption report. There are standard reports which give the report of consumption. This is the part of controlling.
