Contacts Envelope Print Error

I have figured out how to print an envelope with a return address, and proper layout even without the bar code (Hello Apple - it's 2015) and the limited text formatting options, but now Contacts prints two envelopes with each print request.
The problem is that every other envelope prints the addressee name in the line where the street address is on the correctly printed other envelope (which is what I see in preview window).  No street address, city or zip, just the name in the line where the address should be.
Under the Preview window within the print dialog window is this 'Two addresses()'
I dont see another address card anywhere for this contact, so where is the other address that I need to delete to stop wasting envelopes?

Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library".
Then go to Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook.data and double-click that.

My (old) Epson RX510 multifunction printer is included in the list of printers supported by Apple, but on following the procedure advised for downloading the printer drivers for Mountain Lion and/or Lion I get the error message " the printer software is currently unavailable and to contact the printer manufacturer. However on going to the Epson web site I get the message to go to the Apple web site as all printer drivers have been covered in the Mountain Lion software updates.
Can anyone please advise what is going on when the said printer is shown as being included in Apple's list of software included in Mountain Lion and Lion software updates?

I understand that and I have been using the printer successfully on OS X 10.5 on another old iMac.
However I also have an euqally old Canon printer and its drivers were successfully downloaded using the same procedure as recommended for the Epson.
The fact that the Epson RX510 is currently listed on the Apple Support website as being supported is the frustrating issue.
    Go to;  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#epson
    - then scroll down to the Epson section and eventually you will find the RX510 listed with Version 9.00 shown and "P" & "S" shown for printer and scanner drivers being available.
PS: Sometimes you need to click on the "Software available" link to open the list of printers. It is then a fair way down the Epson list with the RX series.

  • Mac Mini envelopes printing full page size from contacts

    Good day.
    So here’s my story.
In early summer I printed out enveoples form "Address Book" for our wedding invitations from a Macbook pro 2.16 GHz running 10.6.8. Everything worked out perfectly.
I then got a Mac Mini 2.7 GHz Core i7  for a wedding gift and I did a data migration from my Macbook Pro to the mac Mini. It was running 10.8.5 and is now running the latest version or Maverics. The printer I used for both envelope printing jobs, an HP CM1415fnw color MPF has also been updated to the latest software version.
The problem I am having is that the Mac mini will NOT print envelopes in the custom envelope size, it always prints full page. It has done this since the data migration form the Macbook Pro running "Address Book" to the Mac Mini 10.8 running "Contacts". I thought is was an operating system issue so I waited for the new OS Maverics.  I did another print out from both computers tonight to see if the issue had resoleved it's self. NOPE. I even do a print preview on the mini which loads up Preview and it shows the custom size, though it prints out full page
All settings on both computers are the same for the custom envelope size.
Anyone know how I can fix the paper size issue?
    Thanks for anyhelp I get

    Hi Rodger_
Thank you for the additional information, it was helpful.
I was speaking with one of my colleagues and we would like you to try the following steps. Once you have completed the steps please try printing again.
    1)    Please reset your printing system, I have included a document on how to do this. Please be aware that this reset deletes all print settings and pending print jobs from your Mac.
    2)    In the "Printers & Scanners" please click on the '+' and choose "Add another printer or scanner from the options (see screen shot)
    3)    Choose your Laserjet CM1415fnw and at the bottom where it says "USE" please change it to the HP Laserjet (see screen shot) instead of AirPrint

  • HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome

HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome. Extra large font sizes and weird formatting issues only when printing emails from Gmail within Chrome. No problems when printing the same email from Gmail+Internet Exolorer or Thunderbird. Using the IE Tab extension in Chrome prints the email correctly but the style of Gmail's message window is completely weird ie: formatting bar is spread out vertically instead of horizontally. I believe it is clear that this is an application specific issue between the HP LASERJET CP1525nw printer and Google Chrome + Gmail. This printing scenario does not occur when printing anything else or when printing via another printer. I would appreciate receiving any suggestions to solve this issue.

  • HP Envy 4500 All in One - Printer Error - not finishing print job / non-specific error code

Help - my new HP ENVY 4500 AIO (less 3 months old) has never completed a print job if it is over 1 page. I'm connected wirelessly, and not sure if there is an interruption in the wireless connection or if this is defect in the  printer. I receive a message "Printer Error - HP ENVY cancelling print job" and that's it. It will usually happen when it's on the last page of a small print job or half way thru a large (10+ page) of a print job.  Any suggestions? I've downloaded HP Print/Scan Dr - it didn't find any issues.

I had the same issue. Got in contact with HP customer service and the first person that helped had no idea how to fix it.  Got in contact with someone else and they found the issue right away. I had it connected through the wrong port.
First find out what the IP address of your printer is. You can do this by pressing the small wifi button on the front of your printer and it will show the IP address.
Then what you'll have to do is go to the start menu of your computer and search for "Devices and Printers".
Click that and a screen will open. Look for your printer an right click.
Click "Printer Properties" and a new screen will open.
Along the top you will see a few tabs. Click the one that says "Ports"
    Click "Add Port"
Highlight "Standard TCP/IP Port" by clicking on it, then click "New Port"
    A new screen will open.
    Click "Next"
Type in the IP Address of your printer and click "Next"
After that your computer should find your printer.
Click finish and you should be all set.
    Hope this helps.

  • Envelope printing using HP LaserJet CP1525nw color

I have been trying to print envelopes on our above printer.  My document is in Word and is formatted accordingly for a #10 business envelope.
Under HP's help feature, I found the appropriate info on how to set up my document's printing options so it would print correctly.
The first envelope printed on the flap side; I re-loaded them back into tray 1 and was ready.
The second envelope printed successfully so I thought I had it figured out.  So I loaded the paper tray with 5 envelopes, hoping to print them en masse.  I couldn't get this to work when I tried to print 4 at once.  I got an error "Jam in Tray 2" and I wasn't even using Tray 2.  I cleared the "problem" and ONE envelope printed successfully, then I got the same error message.
I got 2 more envelopes printed this way but each time I got the same error message, cleared the machine, and 1 envelope printed.
Frustrated, I cancelled the multiple print job and tried printing the envelopes one-by-one.  Now it's not working at all even though I clear the phantom paper jam each time.
Can anyone help with this?  It's driving me nutty.
Background info:  my husband (network engineer) set up the printer.  I have over 20 years of word processing experience and usually have good results with figuring out printing problems.  This one has me stumped!
Thanks for any help you can provide.

The CP1525 does allow you to print envelopes. There are two trays that can be used. I will describe only using the lower tray. Normally this tray is used for standard paper.  To use it for letter envelopes, you need to pull out the tray and then make some changes. Take out all of the paper. There are blue-colored paper supporters. Two are used for the width of regular papers. Slide it toward the center so that it will handle the envelope with the top toward the left side. Put the envelope in with the printable side up and the top towards the left side. Slide the blue paper holders so they touch the top and bottom. Then push the envelope all the way toward the back and then move the single blue paper holder at the front so that it is against the envelope. You are ready to print as far as the printer.
I have to select properties for the printer. I indicate that I am printing an envelope. I also had to indicate landscape. I also had to move the print areas to fit where I want them to be. Then I added my address and the address to where they are going. I am not sure that I got everything but this should work well.
I did not do this, but you can use both trays with one that holds a number of pages and the other for a number of envelopes.

  • "Problem When Printing" error on Mac Mini

    Hi all,
I just recently updated my Mac Mini from 10.3 to 10.4. Instead of Archive and Install I formatted and did a clean install.
I have my printer set up, however whenever I try and print anything from any application I get a very unhelpful "Problem when printing" error, and nothing prints.
I also get the same error when trying to save to PDF.
My printer is a HP Deskjet 3750, and the driver is the one included with 10.4 (as per HP's instruction), but I don't think it's a driver problem as Save to PDF gives me the same error.
I've already tried repairing permissions. Anyone know what could be causing this. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Bugger. PSR is often a winner
You could try installing Gutenprint 5.0.1 available from Sourceforge (it's about 15MB). It's an updated version of the included GIMP-Print drivers and may repair/replace/install some of the core files. Otherwise you may have to contact Apple and see if you can get 10.4.9 mailed to you.

Hi - Did you clean the contacts in the printer (carriage) as well?  If not, try that to see if that resolves the problem - Step 5 in this document.
If that doesn't resolve the problem, the next step is to replace the cartridges (one at a time, in case only one of them is bad).
    Hope that helps.

  • FF81 -65504 PRINTER ERROR What does it mean.

My printer is a: LaserJet 4515
My operating system is Mac OS 10.6.8, 10.7.6, &/or 10.8.2
Error message: FF81 -65504 PRINTER ERROR
    No computer system changes
This error came up while printing an envelop from storage on the printer's hard drive. The printer gave the above error code. It told me to turn the printer off & then back on. That did not help. The printer manual says tha a the FF81 error code is a firmware error. At this point I did the following:
1 - checked the ethernet cable that did no good.
2 - I took out the hard drive. That fixed the problem.
3 - Replaced the EIO hard drive card with one from my HP LaserJet 8150 printer. Printer still works.
4 - I have taken the 80 GB PATA drive off of the small card that it is on.
5 - I want to replace this hard drive with one that I know is good.
6- Changing the hard drive is easy, but ...  That is my question.
7 - If I change the hard drive how is it formatted?
8 - Does HP use a propritary hard drive formatting or does it use a Windows format like Fat32 or other format?
9 - I don't want to pay $500 - 700 for a new card & drive. The drive now in use is only worth $25 when working.
10 - What are your ideas? I want to put the hard drive back into my HP LJ 8150.

    heisetax,
I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/ .
    I hope this helps.

  • Printer error c000

What does a printer error of C000 for a Canon MG5220 mean?  I am using windows 8.  How do you correct this?

    Hi jkimnach,
The C000 error is a generic internal error code, it could mean one of many things.  To try to resolve the C000 error, please follow the following steps:
     1.  Turn your PIXMA MG5220 off and disconnect the power cord and USB cable.
     2.  Remove paper from the automatic sheet feeder (in the back).
     3.  Gently pull jammed paper out, if any.
3-1.  If paper is visible from the ASF, use both hands to pull the paper out slowly.
3-2.  If paper is visible from the paper output slot, use both hands to pull the paper out slowly.
     4.  If the paper tears and a piece of that remains inside the printer, open the printer cover and remove the paper from inside the printer.
     5.  Check ASF with a bright light to check for obstructions.  Remove any if found.
     6.  Open the rear cover to check if the paper is jammed.
     7.  Pull out the cassette and check if the paper is jammed inside the cassette area.
     8.  Load paper back into the ASF or cassette.
     9.  Reconnect the power cord, turn on the printer and confirm that the Alarm light is off. (If there was any jammed paper remaining in the printer, the paper may be automatically ejected.)
If you continue to experience the C000 error with your PIXMA MG5220, please contact our support group using the following link:

  • J4680 printer error

My J4680 Printer won't print.  Control panel shows ERROR.   If I cancel everything in the queue and reboot, it comes back READY, but as soon as I try to print, it goes back to ERROR.  I ran the HP Printer Diagnostic Utility and it says it's a connectivity issue.  I ran the Printer network configuration report off the printer and it indicates network is READY, no errors.  When I run the HP network Diagnosic Utility, it says I should check my Antivirus software, which is Macafee, however, temporily disablng Macafee does not fix the problem.  I"m on an HP laptop, using vista.  Oddly enough, I work for HP.  Because my printer is out of warranty, I can't get help from HP.  When I use the HP GetIT chat, they tell me wireless printers are not supported by Chat.   Go figure!  I work from home for HP, but I can't get my HP equipment to work, and HP can't help me ??  Can anyone on this forum provide an answer?  I have a feeling the latest Macafee upgrade may have caused this, as it was working fine for the past year.   Help !

It sounds like McAffee is blocking access.  Actually, it is more likely McAffee's firewall that is blocking access.  Disable McAfee's firewall and try again.
Do you have any other firewalls or old antivirus programs still on your PC?
Finally, make sure you are doing this NOT on a VPN connection.  You may not be able to contact the printer while on VPN.
