Creat Cost center assig activity type, cost center need to be tras to COPA

Dear All
I have created a Cost Center, and Assigned Activity Type by KP26
Now this Cost Center need to be transported to COPA
Plz let me know the procedure what are the steps need to be followed.

if you want to run an assessment of cost centers to CO-PA, you should create and run a cycle in KEU5.

I have gone to this particular transaction code, I have given period from
1 to 12 and fil year 2007
and given test run,
and given Detal list
its asking me the cycle , and date
where i there is no cycle being defined and date given as 22.02.2008
Its throughing the error msg cycle has not been created.

Hi..
You can defined a activity type to a cost centre category not a particular cost centre.
Suppose you have one activity 99xxxx you can defined it to cost centres cat "P" for prod
you can defined it in KL01 activity master creation.
If you want to assign one specific activity to be used for a particular cost centre then creat the cost centre under spl cat and creat master data for activity type for that cat.

CA03 tcode customization of workcenter, activity type

Hello Expert,
In CA03 Transaction Code, there are fields like Operating,workcenter, plant , control Key, Activity Type etc..
I just want to know where these all customization can be done want to check cost center and activity hours for one article.
where we assign operating, workcenter,plant, control key, Activity type ???

Dear Sujeet,
1.Work center and routing are also the master datas for PP Module.
2.Work center is the place at which the individual operations are carried out and its created using CR01.
3.Each work center will be linked to a cost center in the costing tab.
4.Before making this assignment, for a combination of cost center and activity type the activity per hour
rate will be maintained in KP26 for the periods.
5.If for the same activity type different rates are to be maintained means,then it can assigned to a
different cost center only.
6.One work center can be linked only to one cost center.
7.one cost centers can be linked to several work centers.
8.Cost centers will be created using KS01 and activity types using KL01.
9.While creating routing using CA01,for each operation a work center must be assigned.It means that
particular operation will be done in the mentioned work center.
10.Control key can be assigned either directly in the work center or else in the routing manually it can
be added or changed.
11.A control key tells the whether an operation is relevant to scheduling,costing,capacity
requirements,qualtity insepction characteristics.
12.Control key configuration can be made in OP67.
13.OP5A is for configuring the routing.
14.OPFA is for configuring the work center fields.

Creation of Sales Activity type

Hi,
I am creating a new Sales activity type (say: ZEEE)
In SPRO I have defined this sales activity type but few fields are greyed out. I have to fill 'TextDetermProc' under TEXTS section and 'Partner det' under PARTNERS section but both are greyed out.
Can some one pls guide me how to fill these two fields?

Text determination Procedure and Partner determination procedure is already defined in BASIC FUNCTION.
But my problem is: how can i assign a particular text/partner determination procedure to my activity, as these two fields are GREYED-OUT in the sales activity creation screen.

In Travel management , when I create a travel request, Activity Type is a required field, I select a activity type when I try to save the travel request I get this error.

Activity type price report

Pls advice a Activity type price report to get full fiscal years ( 12 period ) activity prices at one for all the activity type.
We need of doing the comparison but in KSBT it gives only one period value at once.

Activity Type with no dollars.

We have a situation where we would like to charge hours quantity to a project but we don't want to pull any dollars into the project based on the hours. The dollars will be charged directly off Vendor Invoices. I thought that using Category 4 Activity Types could accomplish this zero charge but we ran into problems not being able to allocate Cat. 4 Activity Type. Does anyone know how to get hours charged into a project without pulling in dollars as well. You help would be apreciated.

Here is what I have ocnfigured:
Activity "CONLAB" for contract labor is set up with the following fields populated-
Activity Unit = H
CCtr categories = 8
AtypCategory = 4
Every thing else is blank. When I attempt to set this up on the project I get the following error message -
Activity CONLAB cannot be allocated to 2009
      Message No KL008
Diagnosis
     Activity type CONLAB was planned in fiscal year 2009 as non-allocatable. That means other objects cannot input any activity through this activity type.
System Response
     No activity input can be posted
Procedure
     Choose an activity type.
We need to plan these statistical hours but it's not letting us track them in the Project. I sure hope someone has an idea on how to fix this.

How to set activity type for a cost center

i was practicing the split valuation topic and for the that i was making a routing for a product so that i can have that product for inhouse production.
while using ca01(to create routing), i am facing a problem with the activity type.
when i am setting up the operation i am getting an error " activity type # is not set up for cost center 10004220 in year 2007"

hi Nandha, i am sorry but i could not do it. i am new in this. let me make my problem more clear to you.
i was creating a routing using ca01
after puttig all the details i switched to operations tab and in operation tab i put workcenter as (1111 - lathe, may be i am wrong as i told you i am just practicing).
i did not put anything on that screen and then when i pressed enter it took me to another screen with name Operation check.
here is the layout of the problem on that screen
                      std val      unit     activity type     efficiency
set up                            min        1422
machine                         min        1421
labor                              min        1420
and then curser being on the std value i am getting this error "activity type 1422 is not set up for cost center 1000 4220 in the year 2007.when i am ignoring it it is switching to next std val coloumn and the same error.

While creating a work center (CR01) I need to enter a cost center and activity type for machine hours. However, while entering the activity type the following message appears:
Message no. CR 061
You are attempting to assign activity type XXXX to the work center. However, this activity type has not yet been set up in controlling area 1000 for cost center xxxxx.
while creating the activity type in KL01 i have already given * in cc category so it should go for all cc
What could cause this problem?

Hi,
Check whether the activity type is maintained at the correct controlling area via KL03. If not, then create the activity type (KL01) in the corresponding controlling area.

Activity Type ENGINE not set up for cost center

Hi all,
Currently, we have set up a work center in our system, which has the following intergration:
- Controlling Area --> TECH
- Cost Center --> TECH001
- Activity Type --> ENGINE
- Plant --> PN01
- Work Center --> PL01
Based on the above, the work center PL01 has the relationship of where Activity Type ENGINE and Cost Center TECH001 are linked together, where Cost Center is tied to Controlling Area TECH.
However, when a user tried to create General Task List (Trxn IA05), under Work Center PL01 and Plant PN01, and inserted Activity Type ENGINE in Operation item. It gives the following error:
Activity Type ENGINE not set up for cost center
I have also checked KP26 that everything is setup correctly.
Please can someone shed some light on the above?

Dear Sunil,
Check out this,
1.Create a Cost center using T code - KS01.
2.Create an activity type using T code - KL01.
3.Assign the Rates for an activity type & cost center combination using T code KP26.
4.In the input screen of T code KP26 ,enter version as 0, from period 1 and to period as 12 and the Fiscal
Year as 2008,enter the cost center, activity type click on overview screen (F5)---> enter the per hour Rate
under Fixed price and set value as 2 for distribution key and plan price indicator as 3.
5.After performing this ,while creating the work center ,this combination of activity type & cost center
should be assigned.Then while creating routing/task list this work center can assigned for performing
operations.
Check with this & revert back if you need any further help.

You can link the two by planning for activity qty the combination of a cost center / activity type in KP26. Then you do a detailed planning for costs for the cost center / activity type / cost element in KP06.

Dear ,
To create new Activity Type , you need to follow the below steps :
KA01 - Create Primary Cost Element for the new activities type.
KL01 - Create Activity Type tied to the primary cost element.
KP26 - Change Activity Type/Activity Price Planning - maintain the Variable price
Assign the activity type to cost center using T code KP26.
In the input screen of T code KP26 ,enter version as 0, from period 1 and to period as 12 and the Fiscal Year as 20xx.
Click on Overview tab on top and key in costing details in this screen.
After performing this ,while creating the work center ,this combination of activity type & cost center should be assigned.
At work centre level , you should have
1.Create Standrad Value Key -OP19 and Formula Key in OP49.
2.Create Formula Parameters in OP7B or u can use existing one to assing in the Standard Value Key
3.In CR02-Assing the Standard value key in Basic Data and select the Formula Key in Costing tab with cost centre assingement .Save

Hi Vijay,
The problem is as expected by me it is due to assignment and acitivty price details missing. This needs to be created in KP26.
Once you enter txn KP26 you need to type active version generally "0", then enter period 1 to 12, Fiscal Year "2007" and populate field "Cost Center" and "Activity type" now use "F5".
In the overview screen populate the value "Fixed Price" and "Variable Price" and save the transaction. (We are entering price for individual period but same across all period)
Now try creating Workcenter and assigning the Cost Center and Activity type. It should work.

Resource - cost center - activity type

Hello,
I can see the link Resource - Cost center (in the resource master data)
I can see the link Activity type - cost element
I can see where the activity type's planned cost is done, for such or such cost center
I cannot see the relationship Resource - Activity type
isn't there any direct link or is it only an indirect link, through the cost center

I need to post 2 diferent type of costs to 2 different accounts (cost elements) my question is what impact is if I mantain in one resource with cost center 1000 2 activity types, one is also linked to CC 1000 but the 2nd is linked to CC 2000
In the costing tab at the Resource there is a field for the cost center so my question is what are de implication with this cost center and the link between the activity types and the cost centers
you can maintain 2 cost element for two activity.
But you can't combine two cc in one resource
then you need to create two resource, one with cc 1000 and other with cc 2000,
the second question is, I have to maintain these 2 different cost at the time of confirmation, Is it correct that I mantain the cost of an HOUR in KP26 so when the confirmation happens I just have to say in COR6N that 15 hours were used so based on rate given in KP26 system will calculate and allocate that cost properly, Is this how it works?
as per the formula in OP54, assigned in resource with respect to activity.
at the time of actual booking, system will calculate the actual cost of the activity ( as per the formula maintained in resource)
Also I want to ask if like the activity described before I can have 2 of these attached to the same work center and same phase? I know I can have up to six per Resource but how is the confirmation done, in one step at COR6N you give the 6 parameters to each of the activities or you have to go one by one and saving in this transaction??
In resource for each activity ( parameter) you need to assign formula and activity type, while creating process, system will copy all the parameter and formula in process order, while booking in cor6n system will copy all the parameter.
