Creating Attribute Sets
Hi:
On OA Framework Developers Guide Chapter 3 there is a sectioin of
" Creating Attribute Sets"
I followed the example and try to execute the command on the tiltle
"Generating Attribute Sets Automatically (Only on Linux)" which I tried the following
/jdevbin/<SelectedJDevBuild>/build attributesets APPS APPS ................
but I could not find the /build command that will help the execution on the command line
Does any one tried?
I am trying to create attributesets for XMLType table.

Hi John,
The Attribute Set of Format type 'Value Table' is for the Mutiple Attribute Sets. These can be either a Single Attribute Set with Multiple values or the Multiple Attribute Sets with One value.
You can include all such marketing attributes into one table which is a check table with search help. and use this as the Value Table.

In SAP CRM webclient ui 7.0 there is a new format for creating Attribute Sets. The format is 'value table'.
On selecting Format=Value Table the field 'Table' comes up.
There is a message: Here you can enter a table that contains all the values you want to use. This is particularly useful for attributes with a lot of values or if you want to enter multiple attributes with the same values. The table must be a check table with a search help.
Do I need to create a table with all the fields in in marketing attribute assignment block with search help on attributes field.
Can you please guide as to how I should go about this issue.

I want to create some attributes and set types on CRM system with
`/FITGL/` namespace but system is not allowed to create objects
according. After debugging derives that SAP standart coding given below
on LCOM_ATTRIBUTE_NEWF19 include.
IF ( lv_systemname <> gc_sap_system ) AND
( iv_object_name(1) <> 'Y' AND iv_object_name(1) <> 'Z' ).
Should we make an enhancement on this include? Is there any side
efffects of this enhancement creating attribute & set types on CRM
system during the packaging in terms of related with other attribute & set types objects?

How to create an Attribute set
Hi Everyone,
i am learning OAF....right now going through PPR.I was referring the sample tutorials where i came across attribute sets in the PPR Example, which i believe were created as per requirement.So not able to proceed further till i get some clue abt how to create an attribute set as per my requirement.Tried to refer dev guide but not able to grab the concept
Can anyone tell me where exactly do i need attribute sets(i am only aware that it is used to provide the look n feel to the browser) and how to go abt creating one.

Editing Region of Query Table (Attribute Set)
Hi,
I've tried to create a query and results table however, in the attribute set of the region items, I cannot find any attribute sets which concur to the objects i have created previously. I opted to leave the attribute set field to blank, but when i run my xml i get the following error. Please assist.

Mass creation of Marketing attributes under attribute set
Hi All,
Please let me know if there is a possibility for mass creation of Marketing attributes and marketing attribute sets in SAP CRM Standard functionality.
I am not talking about below " creation & assignment to BPs using the expert tools. "
CRMD_PROF_CHAR Create/Change Marketing attribute/set
CRMD_MKTDS Create datasource/attributre list
Create marketing attribute and maintain in Business Partner.
CRMD_MKT_TOOLS you can use this to delete/assign mass marketing attributes to BP.
we can go for a BDC program, But I want to keep that as a last option.
Please help and suggest me if there is any standard way of creating or uploading the Mass Marketings attributes in CRM system.

Retrive Business Partners related to the filters of an Attribute set
Hi SAP Gurus,
I hv a requirement to get Business Partners related to the filters of an Attribute set.
I hv used a FM 'CRM_MKTTG_SAL_SEARCH_DB' to get the GUID of the attribute list.
If the GUID is passed to another FM 'CRM_MKTTG_SAL_READ' we can get the details of the attribute list i.e. GUIDs of Attributes and Filters within the list.
All we need to o now is to identify the BPs related to the filter criteria.
So, is there any standard report program or Function Module which can be used to achieve the above purpose?Thanks for the reply.
this FM is taking the Marketing Attribute Set ID as input and returning the BPs in it.
I would like to know if I create an Attribute list in the T-code CRMD_MKTDS, create a filter criteria for this attribute list, then how come I can determine the BPs related to this filter criteria Can this me achieved by any FM or Standard Report program?

Error: Attribute set for field_name in view object VO_instance failed
While I try to add a new row in a table using a VO created on two EOs, it comes back with error message 'Attribute set for <field_name> in view object <VO_instance> failed' for each field I enter the data. Please suggest me if I am missing something while doing it.
Are you sure you are specifying a value for the attribute of the VO and the value of correct data type.
Also, please make sure that you have one row coming from each EO , so that the VO has one row, and a outer join is not happening.

The order in attribute set is MESSED UP

Here is an intricate description of my problem:
When I define BRIDGE_TYPE attribute set for Discoverer the sequence of attributes often changes in attribute set without my intervention. This is especially the problem because advanced attribute properties themselves DO NOT change the order. Consequently, I am getting completely messed up. I cannot identify any possible pattern here. I observe it for both dimensions and facts attribute sets.
What's wrong?
Sorry for very vague description of the problem, but that's how it's going on!!!
Another problem is sometimes on the Attribute Sets tab the button "Advanced..." is grayed out for BRIDGE_TYPE. When I move focus to the only one attribute set (BRIDGE_TYPE) and not changing anything press ok (or in some other way move out focus from the record about BRIDGE_TYPE attribute set), I get error message that only one attribute set of type BRIDGE_TYPE may exist. After I press ok for this message, the type of attribute set is automatically changed to USER_DEFINED (of course Advanced button is still grayed out). Then I press ok and open Table Properties again. There I can see two identical attribute sets but with different types: BRIDGE_TYPE and USER_DEFINED. The names of attribute sets are the same, so I have to change name of one attribute set or delete them. If I delete them and create new attribute set of type BRIDGE_TYPE, I am able to go to advanced properties and everything fine, except order problem described above. Again I cannot see any pattern here - this happened only with some of dimensions.
Does anybody observe such a strange behavior? I'm lost and disappointed. :(

AlexI have found a solution for ordering problem but it's realy error-prone. :(
I have determined that order is changed only when I change advanced properties for BRIDGE_TYPE attribute set. If I change them again, the order is back to the previous state, so I can handle it with some efforts. Of course, this is not good way of doing thing, but I don't know better way to handle this.
This trick really slows the work down! If someone experienced similar results, please, share your knowledge.

One attribute assigned to Multiple Attribute Sets
Hello There,
I have created general attributes like Firs_Name (Character - 40), Last_Name (Character - 40) & Age (Numeric - 3) and assigned them to Multiple Attribute sets like Family_Info1, Family_Info2 & Family_Info3.
Then i have assigned the above mentioned 3 Attribute sets to a BP.
The problem is, when i maintain the info in Family_Info1 for First_Name, Last_Name & Age, system is updating the Family_Info2 & Family_Info 3 with the sames values and if i maintain the Family_Info2 with a different Value, the Family_Info1 is overwritten with Values from Family_Info2.
Pls advise, if this is the standard SAP behavior and i should create different Attributes for different Attribute Sets (Like First_Name1 for Family_Info1 & First_Name2 for Family_Info2 etc) OR, it could be a SAP Bug or i need to do some config to fix this issue.

Display an attribute set (Marketing ) on the main view of the business partner
Only the attributes of a certain attribute set should be displayed. The full mkt attrib tab is available in the standard solution.
Example: We want to show the attributes of set u201CBP_CUST_CLASSu201D on the header page.

this should be possible. Here a short idea how:
Create a new view as table view that displays the marketing attributes. Have a look at the standard solution or even copy it. In the ON_NEW_FOCUS method filter out all attributes of different attribute sets than you desire.
In the BP Details page create a new viewarea and assign your newly created table view to it.

How to add new marketing attribute to the existing marketing attribute set?

I searched for existing forums but I didn't find the required one. I found some using Tcodes ,which is not my requirement. My requirement is to add new marketing attribute to the already existing marketing attribute set. This attribute set is created by my team lead with 4 attributes but now i have to add new attribute to this set so total will become 5 attributes for this attribute set. This has to be done through marketing professional business role. If this is not done through marketing attribute set, then I will go for the transaction where I can add marketing attribute for attribute set.
Please send the details of both marketing professional business role and transaction code.

i.e Att set,Infocube,Elm.
I read some document for creating a target group using Infocube,
In doucment they mention using transaction code PVBW we extracting the attribute set to the BW,
Can send me brief explanation why we are extracting att set to BW Wht exactly happen in BW & how Att set will come back to CRM (For creating target group)
