Credit Memo Release Authorization - Workflow Notification

Hello!
Wish to confirm few configuration gaps in Credit Memo Workflow Notification.
The following two workflow templates are delivered in the standard system for credit memo processing, and both had been activated.
•     Identification: WS20000009
Identification code: Credit memos
Long text: Credit memo processing
•     Identification: WS20000019
Identification code:     CMR_CHECK
Long text: Check credit memo requests
<u>This is the functionality we are trying to achieve...</u>
Each user in the sales department is allowed to release credit memo request up to a value of USD 15,000 (No Workflow Notification – Works Fine!)
Credit memo requests with a value of between USD 15,000 and USD 50,000 may only be released by the group leader. (Limit L1, workflow notification should be sent to Group Leader – Not working)
Credit memo request that exceeds a value of USD 50,000 may only be released by the sales manager. (Limit L2, workflow notification should be sent to sales manager – Not Working either)
<u><b>Issues:</b></u>
When the credit memo value is L1 or L2 the workflow notification is sent to every one irrespective of the L1 or L2 value. Tried to create custom role resolution Function and used it in WS20000009 / WS20000019, this doesn't’t seem to work either.
I would appreciate if any one who had previously implemented this scenario to share the experience and advice.
Thanks!

I hope you defined binding for your role ?
And passed &CustComplaintOrder.NetValue& to role parameter container ?
would be nice if you provide more info on how you defined your role & how you defined binding.

  • AR - Credit Memo via iReceivables

I am having problems while creating a credit memo via
IReceivables. The scenario for creation is given below
    Responsibility: Receivables External
    User Name: Joe Blogg
    Customer Name: AAA Auto
    Collector Name: Jamie Johns
Approver: Navin Kapoor (Approval limits have been setup using
the limits form for the Credit Memo --> Reason --> Discount
Invoice for this customer was created in Receivables module. I
signed on to iReceivables as Joe Blogg who has External
iReceivables responsibility. I am able to do the following:
** Inquire on the Invoices for AAA Auto (Customer)
Dispute the invoice where I give the reason as discount. This
    creates a Credit Memo request
** I sign on as Jamie Johns, the collector and approve the
request for approval for the Credit Memo
With the workflow the approval is routed for second approval to
    Navin Kapoor
**I sign on as Navin Kapoor an approve the request for approval
    received from Jame Johns
**I inquire in the Accounts detail that the dispute has been
    recorded for the customer.
However, Credit Memo is not created and the Credit Memo request
still shows pending approval when I sign on as Joe Blogg.

    Hello Jerome.
As far as i know, you can always unapply a credit memo. There will be circumstances where you will not be able to do it, but that circumstances are very rare, like, for example, having all periods closed, or the open period is earlier than the application period.
If you want to prevent users from unapplying credit memos you will need to use Forms Personalization to achieve that.

if you know the billing doc number, credit memo released invoice number
go to vf02 and select cancel  or vf11.  this should also create the account posting to clear out original credit memo.  if acct posting doc gets blocked clear using Vfx3

  • Credit memo request release according to values

    Hello Gurus,
How can I configure for following function:
If the value of the credit memo request is below a certain minimum limit, then it can be released automatically by the system, and make the definition of the point at which the check is carried out and the employee responsible dependent upon the value of the credit memo request.
    thanks very much!

Using the workflow, you can represent the whole business process, with all the people involved, for approving credit memo requests within your company. This enables you to process credit memo requests simply and efficiently.
If you do not use the workflow, the system does not control the process flow.
In your case, you should have a workflow such that if the value of a credit memo request is below a minimum value, the system  automatically releases it for billing by removing the billing block.
If the credit memo request exceeds a certain value, the system automatically informs the employee responsible. She or he receives a work item in their inbox and can process it directly from there.
You need to configure the settings in Customizing for the workflow and create an organizational plan for this.(you may use other methods other that org plan. A workflow consultant may give you further details)
you should configure such that when you create credit memo requests, the system normally sets a billing block, which prevents it from being billed.
You create the billing block for credit memo requests in customizing for Sales and Distribution when you define the order type (Sales and Distribution ->Sales ->Sales Documents-> Sales Document Header ->Define sales document types)

  • Credit memo request auto release

    Hi all,
In the billing cours, it is mentioned that u201CIf the value of the credit memo request is below a certain minimum limit, then it can be released automatically by the system.u201D
Does anyine know hw to configure this?
    Thanks

    hello again.
you can define document classes in IMG > SD > Basic Funcs > Cred Mgmt/Risk Mgmt Settings > Maintain Authorizations.
under this tree, you will find Define Document Value Classes, Maintain Document Value Classes and Maintain Authorizations.
you can define document value classes, then assign values to the document value classes.  example would be:
    1)  document value class:  Z01;  document value:  $10,000.00
    2)  document value class:  Z02;  document value:  $50,000.00
you then assign this to the user profile using PFCG.  look under object T-ED01014500.   specify the activity (create, change, display, etc.) and the document value class (maybe Z01 for user AA1, Z02 for user BB2).
now AA1 can only process sales documents with value up to $10,000.00.  if the maximum value for auto release is 10,000.00, then no further release is necessary for AA1.  however, the downside is that AA1 cannot process documents with value above this value, which throws the burden to BB2.
BB2, meanwhile, who is authorized to release orders up to 50,000.00 can process amounts higher than 10,000.00 up to 50,000.00.  again, no further action is necessary.
    hope this was helpful.
    regards.

  • Authorization Error while creating PO and A/R Credit Memo

    Hi Experts,
We use SAP B1 2007A, PL:08. Some of the users are getting this error message while adding the PO, A/R credit Memo etc. As a superuser, I am able to perform this action.
The Error Message is "[A/R Credit Memo-Rows-Discount % per row] [line:1], you are not permitted to perform this action'[message 200-30]
Any idea why this is happening. I checked the authorization for the users. They have full access to Purchasing and Sales modules. Am I missing something here? Please let me know!!
    Thanks,

  • Error in Releasing to Accounting for Rebate Credit Memo

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to post from a credit memo rebate settlement an A/P posting document rather than
an A/R posting document (payment made against vendor rather than customer).
I am using the standard SAP user exit EXIT_SAPLV60B_008 to convert A/R document to A/P document.
In the internal table XACCIT, the following fields are changed in order to achieve the results above:
    Accounting document type (BLART)
    Posting Key (BSCHL)
    G/L Account & P&L Account (HKONT)
Customer (KUNNR) - if filled, clear out
Vendor (LIFNR) - get from KNA1 table
    Tax Code (MWSKZ)
Payment Terms (ZTERM) - get from KNB1 table
    Tax Conditions (KTOSL)
Branch Details (FILKD) - if filled, clear out
The rebate credit memo have been generated but not able to release to accounting. When i try to release
to Accounting via VF02, the following error is generated:
'No Account is Specified for item 0000000001'.
All substitution seems to be complete. Could you let me know the possible cause of this so that I can further investigate on this issue.

No Account is Specified for item 0000000001
Normally system will throw this type of error if the corresponding billing document / credit memo does not have the Account Assignment Group of that customer.  To check that go to VF02, key in the credit memo reference and execute.   There click from top menu bar "Goto => Header => Header".  There you can see a field "Account Assignment Group".  Check whether it is blank.  If so, press F and save.
It could also be due to improper of G/L Account assignment in VKOA
    thanks

  • Error when releasing credit memo to accounting

    Hi,
When I try to release the credit memo to accounting the system throws the following error "Account type/account for invoice reference does not match item".
    Anyone know the reason please?
    Thanks,
    Shankar

    Dear Shankar,
This error occurs the following reasons.
    1. Revenue account determination has not been properly set.
2.check in VOFA where under General control, document type is there, you need to mentioned RZ(Billing doc.transfer) and also check accoun determination procedure in billing documnet as well as credit memo.
    3. copying control.
    Plz check and revert.

  • How to Re-execute the Credit Memo Workflow?

    Hi! Folks,
This is a problem which I am facing @ the client site....
Actually, I am assigned with a Credit Memo Workflow.
Here, if the Credit Memo is created i.e. if CREATED (BO BUS2094) Event is triggered the workflow is working fine.
But as per the requirement if they want to change the Credit Memo using VA02 tcode and if the Net Value is changed I mean if it is greater than some specific value i need to re-execute the workflow (approval process)
As for your information, I have copied the Standard Workflow Template 20000009 & 20000019 also I have checked with Event Linkage and other workflow stuffs.
But my main query here is that while the Credit Memo is changed, CHANGED (BO BUS2094) Event gets triggered but with Receiver Type SUBSCRIBE along with error 'CHECK FM with Exception' with Message 'No Configuration for Workflow WS90400201 version 003'
(Here WS90400201 with version 003 is my custom workflow template (copy of WS20000019))
Also, I want to know is there any Functional Configuration missing out because I have referred help documentation and found that this re-execution of workflow (WS20000019) is automatic.
Just kindly let me know if any part is missed out in configuration
Please, guys revert to the earliest.

  • Valuation Difference is blocking the release of Credit Memo to FI

    Hi,
We had created an Invoice on 03rd May with billing date 25th April, and then released this invoice to Finance.
Now we have created a Credit memo for that invoice, and trying to release to Finance but system is giving the following error "Reversal of document is not possible" .
In debugging, we found that in accounting document some valuation difference is there, that is the why system is giving the error.
In credit memo as well as in invoice same exchange rate has been maintained.
Can anybody help in this please?
    Thanks
    Venkat

    Hi
This is may be because of the valuation difference in the Materrial....Because, billing happend in previous month and may be as a month end process material valuation might happen (costing run).
If it is the case, VPRS is changed at the time of Credit memo.
In this situation, you can  cancel the invoice in SD.

  • AP Invoices/Credit Memo Workflow process using Optura

    Hi,
We have a VIM tool Optura that we have implemented for our Workflow approval process where in the invoices/credit memos get parked, then go through a workflow approval process and finally get posted. These invoices/credit memos at the time when they are parked have attachments in them. The issue is that the when the credit memos get posted we loose the attachments that were present in them but it works just fine when we post invoices. Any idea as to what could be happening?
    Any help will be approeciated.
    Thanks,
    ALAM.

Can you please explain where the attachment is getting disappeared?
Is it in the attachment link of the Tcode of Credit memo or inside Workitem.
If it is workitem then attachment is not properly binded from Workflow container to Task container.
If it a Tcode you have to write ABAP Code to populate in the GOS of the Tcode.
    Thanks

  • How can I include a Credit Mgmt Case Folder URL in a workflow notification?

I have a requirement to add a URL to a workflow notification, which is easy enough. The issue I am having is that I am not able to create a URL that successfully opens the Credit Management Case Folder that is specified in the worflow notification.
I am only able to get the URL to launch the following successfully: http://<ce:0000>/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=16351&resp_id=23916&resp_appl_id=222&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US
Has anyone else solved this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

We are using eBusiness Suite 11.5.10.2, 10g database
I created a woflow attribute of type URL.
    Name: Case Folder Link
    Frame Target: New Window
    Value: http://<instance>/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=16351&resp_id=23916&resp_appl_id=222&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US
I then added the following line to add the URL attribute to the HTML message body.
    Case Folder Link : &CASE_FOLDER_LINK
When using the link above I don't get any error message. However when I try to change the URL to a specific case folder URL (Note this URL should change depending on the Case Folder # provided in the notification message.):
    http://<instance>/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?_rc=ARCMANALYSISDATACRDSUMMARYPAGE&_ri=222&retainAM=Y&cmSubRegion=PARTYREGION&cmPartyId=%7B!!k5vkXUpUCWxLhSZj.uqBHQ%7D&cmCustAccountId=%7B!!lBrDTc7.B3E6QA-16tJNIw%7D&cmSiteUseId=%7B!!7jcW1qvgKOeEFCpFYCanSA%7D&OAHP=ARCMMENUAPPLICATION&OASF=ARCMANALYSISDATACRDSUMMARY&_ti=1687529995&oapc=9&oas=GiXPV8nU9RQ6Ej53zIESsw..

  • Replace AR Credit Memo Request Workflow with a new Custom Workflow

    Hello friends,
We have a business requirement to replace the AR Credit Memo Request Workflow with a new Custom Workflow whenever an Invoice is disputed (Oracle Advanced Collections).
The Credit Memo Request workflow is being launched within the Oracle API arw_cmreq_cover. We thought of an approach wherein the Oracle form IEXINDTL.fmb can be renamed and the Custom workflow to be called in the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger on Dispute Button instead of calling the program Unit IEXINDTL_CONTROL.DISPUTE (as in standard form) which inturn calls several API's and hence the AR Credit Memo Request Workflow. But this would override the other standard processes being carried out in these API's. Our requirement is to only replace the AR Credit Memo Request Workflow and not to override the other standard processes.
Does anyone have come across the similar requirement? Please let us know your inputs.
    Thanks in Advance !

I ran across the same error today. Since it's been over a month, I assume you've fixed it already or decided you didn't need it at all? What was your fix?
For me, I noted that in the sample directory, a similar "createView" call (in End User Anonymous Enrollment) also includes this argument:
    <Argument name='viewId' value='User'/>
When I added that to my createView call, the "Missing view id" error went away, and the user are gets created.
I'm not entirely comfortable with the value specified, though; seems like view IDs should be more unique. I would have thought it should have been something like this instead:
    <Argument name='viewId' value='User:$(accountId)'/>
