Hello,
We have a requirements to fill surveys from external tool..
We are planning to develop WEB Dynpro application. This application will be filled by internet user and survey should be created automatically. Is there some BAPI/function module that can update surveys in background?

Hi Rika,
No problem, for that you need to maintain some key to identify the user. for eg. if you use emails, then you need to generate some code as a part of url and have to maintain a link in some Ztable between a response code and BP Number.
Thus you can easily trace the response rather than updating the surveys.
E.g.
Survey url could be
https:
crm.server.com\....\survey.htm?responsecode=11233343
In Ztable you can map code 11233343 against your BP and can trace the response based on the code.

SAP CRM MObility Activity Survey to create Marketing Attributes for a BP

ATtrHi Gurus ,
I have to create an Activity from IPAD ( CRM Mobility ) which will create a survey response,and the survey responses have to be captured and then create Marketing Attributes for the BP related to the Activity. I am not able to use the Callback Function given to IPAD Application.
So my Approach so far has been :
implement a badi that gets trigerred at Survey Response submission.
in that call function module crm_svy_activity_pai.(Made a Z-copy of this to enforce COMMIT WORK )
I am not able to pass the parameter lr_values for FM: CRM_SVY_ACTIVITY_PAI
These are the 2 links that has been useful so far . Kindly add to this if possible.

Hi Jacques,
Once you click on Marketing in Web UI you will find "Marketing Attribute" in the Work Area.Click on that.
You need to give ID No. and Attribute Set name.
You need to mark Persons and Organisation checked also.
Below that you will find 2 blocks " Attributes" and "Value"
Under Attribute gve your Attributes Names you want to define ( e.g. Age,Salary or any client defined..) then select the Format ( Numeric or Chracter etc...)
Once you have filled in all the Attributes you click on one attribute and below you need to fill the Values ( e.g 20-30 yrs etc...) . If you want to make that value a default one you can select default check box against each value.
That way for each attributes you can define values. Hope this would help you.

CRM 2007 WebClient Survey not displayed

Hi Experts,
In CRM 2007 I would like to view a survey created by mi in CRM_SURVEY_SUITE. This is not working. But SAP example surveys are displayed well.
What could have happend?

when surveys are transported to the other client it takes some time (around 10 minutes) till they are accessible. maybe that is one of the reasons. also check if you have done all the necessary customazing:
- defined determination criteria
- defined determination rule
and in case of opportunities you have to assign survey also directly on the transaction type.

CRM 5.0 Survey - Empty after reopening filled + saved survey

Hi Experts,
yet another problem with surveys and marketing campaigns! I have created a survey with the following options:
Save completed questionnaire
Completed questionnaire changeable later
Evaluation without BI
PBO: CRM_MKTCA_SURVEY_MKT_PBO
PAI: CRM_MKTCA_SURVEY_MKT_PAI
The sending of the survey is embedded in a periodic campaign that sends an email with a link (the survey is also set in the campaign element). When I open the survey, fill in some values and save I get the message: Survey saved successful. If I reopen the survey I get the empty survey again and can fill in different values that are also saved.
An activity/contact is created every time I save the survey. From my point of view he should read the old activity whenever I reopen a survey and overwrite the old activity with the new values...
Any ideas what might be wrong? I really need help, as I am running out of time with my project :o(

do not get confused by this response,this is just the normal way the system reacts every time u fill the survey
it is the standard that whenever u fill the survey the record gets updated
in other words u can say that if a customer fills the surevy and submit it an activity is created but next time he again made some changes and when he submit yet again an activity is being generated,
but what we require is that only one activity per customer,
so what i have stated is just the vice versa of what u r observing but mind u both are same things
in some of my earlier threads i have encountered this probs,may be if u can search that thread,because those guys in there project has found a solution for this problem
that only one activity per response
and always open up into previous activity,
what they did is either coding the program to their requirement or do some enhancement

Security implications of publishing CRM Surveys to Internet.

I am about to implement the CRM V5.0 Survey tool using CRM_SURVEY_SUITE and need to be able to publish these surveys to the web. I am able to download the survey the my local PC as HTML. I then need to load it on to a web server and create a url that points to this survey. I have read through Gregor Wolf's very helpful post on CRM Surveys <a href="/people/gregor.wolf3/blog/2006/07/22/create-run-and-analyze-an-e-mail-campaign-with-a-survey-part-1 Survey</a> but I am unclear as to how the data is sent back to the CRM system. i.e. how does the submit button send the data to the crm server, the help indicates the Survey mailer should be used but I have been unable to find any additional information on this. Gregor's post refers to using a BSP to post this information back to CRM, does this not cause a security hole in the network.
My questions are:
1. Can other options such as the survey mailer be used to post results from a completed survey back to the crm system?
2. If the survey mail can be used, how is this set up? or do I have to <a href="/people/gregor.wolf3/blog/2005/11/07/setup-sap-web-dispatcher-with-url-filter-on-suse-linux-90">Setup SAP Web Dispatcher with URL Filter on SuSE Linux 9.0</a>, if so does anyone have any instructions on setting this up for Wintel servers?
3. What if any are the security implications of implementing web survey's using the CRM_SURVEY_SUITE?
4. Can the Survey HTML page be stored on the web displatcher?

This browser in my opinion is shady all google searches are done through the united arab emirates google website and this cannot be changed. If you can't search the Google of the county you are there really isn't much point in searching at all. The us government should check this one out. If Puffin is pulling user information for malicious reason or at all, they have over 1 mill Americans personal info.

Surveys assigning to email campaign

Hi Gurus,
I am new to sap crm, after creating surveys in lead management how to assign these surveys to email campaign, please help me, points will be rewarded.

Once you have created a Survey you need to egnerate an URL using "CTRLSHIFTF1".
Now use the transaction crmd_email to create an email for where you need to paste this URL
Once this is done you must goto T code crm_mktpl
and then create an campaign
Select the tab "channel" communication medium as "email"
also add the email created in crmd_email to MAIL EXPORT FORM tab.
This way you can attach the survey to the campaign.

I access to the CRMD_ORDER by ITS. I create an activity that have a survey when I try to save the survey it is releaded to the next page: res://ieframe.dll/unknownprotocol.htm#sapevent:WFF_EVENT

SAP REx 3.2 Predefined list of activities for visit type while creating visit on iPad

Colleagues, our customer wants to have a different predefined list of activities for different visit types while creating a visit on iPad. I have seen such functionality in SAP Demo for REx 3.2 on iPad. Could you tell me what I should do to have such functionality?

There are no REx customisation available to mainatin the set of activities that can be assigned to a visit.
In the REx iPAD & iPhone solution, all the surveys, journals and activities are shown together as activities.
For example in the first screenshot provided by you, for the newly created visit the activities shown plannogram check, trade assets, store sales performance and promotion compliance are the surveys and journals assigned to the CRM transaction type of the REx visit Business Review. We can assign activities which are customised in the SPRO path mentioned by me in the previous post. In the device when we go to the details of the visits and activities then we can see that the surveys and journals assigned to these activities are grouped seperatly.
So if want only specific activities (in iPAD & iPhone surveys and journals are activities) to be available for a visit then we should set the CRM customisation for surveys and journals accordingly.

Help needed-Survey template data not flowing from CRM to Mobile & V V

Hi experts,
We have a requirement to create a custom survey template and pass it to mobile. The data flow should be to and fro. as in; from CRM to Mobile Application and vice versa.
Currently we are facing an issue in this that the data if not being passed properly from the CRM TO Moblie.
As i am new to the middleware concepts, i am not sure how to go about analysing if my data in the BDocs for the survey template if correct or not.Some data is present for the survey in the Bdoc(xml), but i am not sure if this xml value is correct or not as the Bdoc table entry (xml value)seems to have been truncated(i cannot view the entire xml there wen i try to open the BDoc fields in SMW01).
any pointers to this is highly appreciated.

CRM Survey

Hello Forum,
As per our business scenario once the Interaction Record or a Complaint is created and saved the Survey is to be triggered and once the customer on receiving an survey URL the customer clicks on the survey link URL, submits his responses to the survey and sends back. These responses are stored in SAP CRM. I want to know how to process this with the parameters for uploading .XML file in HTTP, but there are many unknown parameters in the XML files like: <b>Connector Id</b> etc. As we want do not want to give the BSP application to the consumer, please suggest
All I need is
1) I have the .XML file for the HTTP, how to go about the Connector ID?
2) How do I assign the Interaction Record to the Questioner as once it is saved the questioner is to be triggered.
Would appreciate an answer from the forum.

XSLT transformation error when importing target group in CRM Survey cockpit

Hi,
I created a target group using the segment builder and exported that to a local file. Then when creating a survey using CRM survey cockpit (tcode: SURVEY) and trying to import the same target group from the local file; I get an error :
"Error when applying a XSLT transformation"
System Response
Data transformation cannot be executed. Application functions that depend on the transformation cannot be executed
I tried various file formats : RTF, TXT, XLS, HTML but still I get the same error. Export to XML option is neither available while exporting from segment builder nor while importing into Survey cockpit. The target group is not empty.
Are there any settings to be maintained to resolve the error ?????

Thanks for the response... as far as my understanding goes, the crm survey suite can be used for maintaining questoinnaires that are transaction specific. also the functionality of question tables and rows is not available in the survey suite but is available in the survey cockpit (tcode: SURVEY).
However the same does not allow me to refer to the target groups created using the segment builder.... Is there a way I can use the target group created through the segment builder in the survey cockpit ????

I would like to implement this.
How exactly does the recipient send the survey to SAP CRM system? I know that PAI can create a document with survey in CRM. In this case the survey is linked to an email. I have never seen loose surveys (without document) in CRM.
Am I supposed to have an integracion with an contact of type email where the survey answers will be saved in case the marketing contact anwers the survey?

First of all, I am not sure in which scenario you are using. In my earlier reply, my answer was broad too since i am not aware of which scenario you are using.
Your survey attribute might be having PAI module attached which creates/changes a lead on checking the process mode. Process calls CRM_SVY_LEAD_PAI_CREATE to create a lead.If this is not successful, it will raise the message to stop.
Therefore, You should also check if you create a lead through crmd_order Is it created error free?
one more point is: You can not use Lead survey and Lead PAI/PBO for URL.Sending an url to a business partner is a Marketing scenario hence only marketing survey and PBO/PAI should be used.
Lead survey and it's PAI/PBO should be used only when you create lead in crmd_order transaction and want to determine the relevant survey during creation.
Do you want to create lead through campaign execution or want to use Campaign automation application for the same ?
If your scenario is to send an e-mail to a business partner and as soon as he replies to the response , for each reponse you want to generate a lead.
For above scenario, you have to model the scenario in campaign Automation application.

I have a question regarding Pre-Populating the header data in the survey attached to an activity in CRM Mobile 4.0. That in can we define a Functional module for a PBO (Process Before Output) for a survey u201CZ_SVY_Templateu201D in CRM 4.0.
So that when a Sales rep opens the Survey in CRM Mobile 4.0 the Organizationu2019s Header data should automatically be displayed in the u201CZ_SVY_Templateu201D, so that he just needs to fill out only the remaining additional blank fields in the survey.

Generate file to save on server from CRM survey results.

Hello,
I need to generate a file from the results of a CRM Survey running in an Internetscenario.
When mailto is used an email with the attachment POSTDATA.ATT is sent back as attachment.
How can I copy this document and save it on the customers file system?
And how can this be realised when running internet scenario without using mailto.
The scenario is running on CRM 2007.

Translation of CRM Surveys

Hi,
we created Surveys for our activities in CRM 4.0. This surveys were translated into different languages. Until here all works fine.
After creating and activating a new version of the 'masterlanguage'-survey, the translated surveys appear completely without texts in our activities!
Through debugging the editing of CRM-activities, I could see that indepentely of the login-language, SAP always determine the newest version of the 'masterlanguage'-survey. If there is no translation of this newest version, the surveys appears without any texts, not even the old (activ!) ones.
Had anyone the same problem and could solved it?
It would be fine if at least unchanged texts appear in old version.

first of all welcome to SDN. I've tried to search in OSS for "survey translation" in the Component CRM* but have not found a matching OSS Note. Please open a Message at http://service.sap.com/message to find a solution directly with SAP. Please let us know when they have found a solution.
