[CS2:] Trapping based on a certain color?

Hi there!
Is there a way to specify a trapping behaviour limited only to those elements of a given document carrying a certain color? Like, I want all »Gold« colored elements (type, lines, polygons) to overprint with a trapping value of lets say .25 pt?
Thanks
Klaus

Override getTableCellRendererComponent in Table celll renderer.
public class MyTableCellRenderer extends DefaultTableCellRenderer
public MyTableCellRenderer()
super();
public Component getTableCellRendererComponent(JTable table, Object value,
boolean isSelected, boolean hasFocus, int row, int column)
Component comp = super.getTableCellRendererComponent(table, value, isSelected,
hasFocus, row, column);
          ((JLabel)comp).setOpaque(true);
if(value.equals("TOTAL")
comp.setBackGround(color);
else
set whatever the default background color

  • Finding objects that use certain colors in the palette

    My document has RGB colors imported from the Word document. I'd like to be able to find the objects that are colored with these imported colors. Is there a way to sort and find objects based on color?

    That's a little tricky. How do you prove a negative, as it were? You can do an object-based find/change, but only for for things you define, so for example you acan find all objects that DO have a certain color fill, but it won't find anything that doesn't match the criteria.
    It might be possible to script a solutuion that would step through all objects and compare them to a list of criteria, then list the ones that don't match.

  • IChat bubbles for certain buddies stuck on a certain color

    This issue is pretty stupid- I see most people are having problems with getting their iChat to work. Thankfully mine works well (most of the time) but I have a question regarding the look of my chats.
    I may be mistaken, but I thought that when I first got my macbook/started using iChat (August 2008) that each time someone would message me, their chat bubbles would come up a different color. But now they are stuck on a few certain colors, always the same color bubbles for the same person. I've tried going to Preferences > Messages > Reformat Incoming Messages and choosing "Random" for "Sender's Balloon color" but it still doesn't change, even after starting a new chat window with the person, ALSO even after deleting them from my buddy list & re-adding them. Is this just how iChat works? Like I said, I coulda sworn it was different when I first had iChat, but I am not positive. If there is any way I could get around this problem, that would be great... Also, the buddies I am talking about are using AIM for windows, and I know that these are not their own text formatting colors.

    Hi,
    AS you can choose your Outgoing Colour of the Balloons (IM background) and the Font and it's colour so can your Buddies.
    Unless you choose to Override Incoming Messages they will appear the colours and Fonts choices they have made.
    The only time they will change is if the Buddy chooses to do so.

  • How to do a SUM of all cells of a certain color?

    I have a spreadsheet that I'm categorizing certain budget items by cell color. these are not in a row. I think there is a way with IF statements to select all the cells of a certain color that contain numbers and do a sum of them. This will allow for easy graphs of those categories.

    The workaround is to use the property which categorize the cells in your formula.
    What Badunit said, plus what to do if you're not using a conditional rule to colour the cells.
    If you're using a conditional rule to set the colour of the cell. use that condition in a SUMIF() statement to select the numbers to be included in the sum.
    If you're setting the colours manually, use a checkbox in an adjacent column to set the condition for numbers to be included in the SUMIF() selection.

  • Assign certain color to certain part  of body CS3 !

    Dear Friends !!
    Here is a little challenging question for some , it might be nothing to some Pros , but to us ordinary editors means a lot !
    Let's say I have a chroma (Green screen)  footage , which contain a simple girl standing in front of green screen acting .
    She is wearing red shirt , blue pants and black shoes in front of a green screen with decent lighting and make up.
    Now , even though she put good amount of make up on her face, but I still don't like the tone or color of her skin, her red shirt is red but not a rich red color as well as her blue pants is not rich blue, I mean a good blue or a nice blue !
    Is there any way to assign certain colors to certain part of her body, I mean let's say her face or skin tone, I wanna have it a little more natural (just the skin) I don't wanna change the color of her hair or clothing !
    and then goto hair and make the hair look more black , without touching her face and her clothing color and ect !

    Either RGB Curves (my personal preference for color correcting) or the Three-Way Color Corrector will allow you to isolate specific luminance (brightness) and chrominance (color) ranges to a certain degree, so that you can affect only the values that you want to adjust. It may take multiple copies of an effect, each working on certain colors or ranges of colors, to get the output you want, but it should be doable.
    Note that this will take a lot of tweaking and work, but if you've never experimented with color correction before, there's no time like the present!

  • Need script that delete objects of certain color...

    Hello. For my Hobby I would need an Illustrator script that can delete objects of a certain color on selected layer. The color can be set in a dialog like #000000 or anything alike.
    I will need it to delete letters in text that has a certain color (different than letters around it). Letters to delete can be inside sentances or free. It doesn't matter if the text need to be outlined and ungrouped before run script, or not.
    I would apprechiate any help. Thank you.

    // CharacterColorizedIfNotMatchPrompt.jsx
    // Hint: test the script with little text.
    // The more extensive the text, the more time it takes the script.

    // http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1190610?tstart=0
    var aDoc  = app.activeDocument;
    var col = new CMYKColor();
    col.cyan = 0;
    col.magenta = 20;
    col.yellow = 0;
    col.black = 0;
    var aTFrame = aDoc.textFrames;
    if (aTFrame.length > 0) {
        var check = prompt ("Which character?", "a");
        check1 = check;
        check2 = check1.toUpperCase();
        for (i=0; i<aTFrame.length; i++) {
            for (j=0; j<aTFrame[i].characters.length; j++) {
                aChar = aTFrame[i].characters[j];
                if (aChar.contents != check1 && aChar.contents != check2) {
                    aChar.fillColor = col;
    alert("done")
    Try this.

  • OfficeJet 6500 A Plus Won't print on certain color paper

    When I try to print on certain colors of pastel paper I get an error message saying there is a mismatched page size. This is a refurb unit because the original printer wouldn't print all colors of ink consistently and replacing the printhead didn't correct the problem.
    After an hour on the phone with tech support we were able to get it to print on pastel paper if I set it to draft quality but it still won't print in normal quality. Tech support blames it on the brand of paper I have despite the fact that I didn't have this problem with the same paper (even from the same ream) with the original printer. The only solution available to me is to use draft quality or use HP brand paper (and that is simply what I was told, I haven't bought their paper to see if this works - haven't even found their color paper).
    Anyone have a real explanation/solution to this problem since HP clearly isn't standing behind this product? (Yes, they have replaced the printhead, the printer and now are replacing the duplexer, but having to replace all these parts and still telling me I have to use draft quality does not bode well for the quality of this product.)
    Thanks for any help/suggestions.

    I have the same problem. The printer seems to sense the paper before printing and if it's pastel, is feeds that sheet through and every other one until it finds a pure white one, then it prints. I tried different paper type settings under printer properties before printing but no luck.
    I got tired of wasting paper and ink so in the end I took a print out on plain white paper and photocopied it onto the pastel paper. That worked fine.
    This tells me that the printer driver is messed up or I did not manage to hit on the right paper type setting for the paper I was trying to use.
    Photocopying onto your specialty paper is a suitable work around if you are printing just a few pages but not for larger runs.

  • Certain colors do not work in fill

    Running Windows XP, it appears that after the last update to Acrobat XI (11.0.10) certain tools (text callout, cloud, rectangle, etc.) do not show certain colors when picked as a fill color (yellows and greens mostly). I have tried picking different shades of those colors in the other color picker, but no luck. These same colors work in text highlighting and other tools.
    Even though Acrobat does not show the colors if I open the PDF with another program the colors are there, just not in Acrobat.
    Any ideas?

    My computer is a powermac G5 that I've had for about a year and a half. It's an older model that was found new in a best buy warehouse. Is this a problem? Can it be the reason my internet isn't working to it's fullest potential? Everything else works fine accept when I try to load Final Cut I receive a prompt that reads
    "This software requires certain hardware or software which is missing.

  • Refill safety stock based on a certain leadtime

    Hello,
    is there a way to refill / replenish your safety stock based on a certain leadtime ?
    as now MRP requests to get in components today or in a week , while they have a leadtime of several weeks.
    for example :
    i have put a fixed safety stock of 300 pcs on a component.
    This component has a leadtime of 5 weeks
    i received an order for 50 pcs to be delivered in 1 week.
    So we ship this from our safety stock.
    Now MRP is creating demand to get 50 new pieces of this component to be delivered in 1 week ( to fill up again the safety to 300 pcs )
    But i would like that MRP asks to order this component on the leadtime of 5 weeks
    As it will not be possible to get this component in on 1 week.
    best regards

    Thanks Avinash for your reply,
    i also noticed that safety stock gets the highest priority demand and that's probably why i couldn't find a solution using safety stock.
    Is there an other way how i should handle this?
    Is there a way where a replenishment in oracle is done based on leadtime?
    as i mentioned before, i want to get my stock automaticly replenished based on a component/product leadtime when i get under a certain stock level.
    I'm currently thinking to change the planning to min-max planning or reorderpoint planning and as soon as my stock comes under the minimum level,  oracle will propose to refill the stock. But also here i don't know if oracle will use the leadtime to create new demand.
    i still need to test this.

  • Image based of all the colors currently in the swatch

    Are there anyone who know a method or script that enables generation of an image based of all the colors currently in the swatch?
    I would want it to fill a grid, with a patch of the color with the colors name underneath it, and with the name of the swatch as a header on a black background. Maybe even with the lab, cmyk and rgb values underneath each color.
    The colors need to be arranged in the same manner as in the swatch.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I'm sure this is possible, but you might want to post this in the scripting forum or on ps-scripts.com.  Here is a link to a topic along the lines that you want on ps-scripts.com:

  • Grep: How to fill a table cell with certain color

    I have an excel sheet with 5000 rows that needs to be formatted in Indesign.
    1. Is there a way to get a certain color fill of the cell depending on text. Lets say if the text is "apple", the cell should fill with red (and text also color red to make it disappear).
    2. How do I make two different character styles to appear in the same cell (information is tab-separeted but sometimes I would like to have 2 "paragraphs" in one cell sometimes – with that I mean two tab-delimited cells from excel to appear in ONE cell in indesign).
    Thanks in advance
    Example of what I would like to accomplish:  http://tinypic.com/r/vo4och/6

    Yes but wouldn't that make the field contain a string?
    I tried something like that, and every field I edit becomes left-justified, and String (instead of int, float which is right-justified)

  • Is there a way to delete certain colors in a layer only?

    I am wondering if it is possible to delete only certain colors out of a layer, if I were to go over the color using color picker or something? Thanks guys

    select menu.... see 'select colour range'.
    Then you can use an adjustment layer that is 'attached' to that layer by putting the cursor on the line between the layer and adjustment layer and click the option key then the adjustment will only affect that layer and will be live, ie you can fine tune it later or undo it.

  • Special effect to make only certain colors "glow"

    Is there an effect that I can use that will allow me to select a certain color and then make it have a glowing type effect? Thanks

    The Color Corrector filters are fundamentally chromakeyrs. They create a color-specific, masked set of pixels that are processed with overlays and curve tweaks according to the settings of the CC filter. I've never done it myself but I've been told you can export the alpha mask form the CC independently.
    In the olden days in After Effects, we'd use various keyers to extract the alphas and then apply colorization and blurs or rays to the imported or nested movies.

  • Fully filling a selection with certain color

    Hello!
    I'm trying to fill a selected region using Edit -> Fill...
    However, pixels at the periphery of the region are not changed to the desired color exactly, but a lighter/darker one.
    Is there a way to replace every single pixel inside a region with a certain color?
    Thanks!

    He/she means when making the selection.
    Feather should be 0px, Anti-alias should be unchecked.

  • Changing the color property node of an indicator based on a certain condition

    An upper level VI sends a set of conditions to a VI that SHOULD change the color of the indicators based on a set of t/f cases. However, the color of the indicators is changing in the lower level VI but not in the VI that is doing the calling. I am not using an while loops, just case statements. Help?!

    What you need to do is get a reference to the upper level VI control that you want to change to colour of. I have edited your VIs that you included to show how I passed the references to the controls into the subVI. The subVI can then change the colours, values, labels, etc. of the controls and changes are immediate.
    Hope this is what you're looking for.
