CS4 huge dissapointment

I have been a Macromedia / Adobe advocate and faithful
follower since the early years. I remember when I started what now
is a small company with 10 employees and purchased my first copy of
Flash 2.
I happily went to the Adobe online store and purchased the
CS3 Web Premium suite as soon as it came out just to be
disappointed by the new Dreamweaver version on CS4. Don’t get
me wrong I have NOTHING against Adobe and the new look of CS4 looks
great, but Functionality,,,,,,,,,,, Leaves a lot to wish for. And
it seems strange that Adobe would do something like that, it seems
like they were on a huge hurry to release the product and left a
bunch of things without testing, debugging or completing.
Here is a list of the things that I found must frustrating
and hope we can all contribute by posting here what we consider
items that Adobe must look on fixing or evaluating soon.
Adobe. I LOVE you and will keep purchasing your products no
matter what, but please fix this issues.
Adobe Developers Toolbox: I am sure many users out there
depend like me on the Adobe Developers Toolbox and there still no
CS4 compatibility out there yet, is almost March and as quoted on
the site (Early 2009) is the release.
I come up with many old sites built in .asp and there is no
way of inserting a .swf file to a .asp page without the Object
Class. Quote from DW Help Files
“Note: Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) does
not process nested object tags. For ASP pages, Dreamweaver uses
nested object/embed code instead of nested object code when
inserting SWF or FLV files.”
Could you come up with a alternate way or give an option as
it is on CS3?
I have arranged my different windows ie CSS, files, server
behaviors, behaviors, snippets, etc in a certain way, I have also
saved that layout. DW will suddenly disappear some windows so often
I need to Resert my Workspace to get my windows back to where they
were.
Some times when you click on something and DW gives a warning
popup message i.e. When updating template pages DW will ask if you
wish to update the pages. If I switch to a different program when
returning to DW the warning box does not show on top of all other
windows making DW useless until a decision is made and a button
clicked on the warning box, but such box is not available. Not sure
if I explain myself well.
Hope Adobe is able to provide great service and software for
many more years.

Not really. They just moved the whole object/embed stuff into
the
javascript. You'll note that the embed is still in the
<noscript> part.

Z!0 Huge Dissapointment!

I recently upgraded to the Z10 expecting a wow based on early reports .......... To begin with you cant call a number that is within a text message, you cant resize the icons without them bleeding onto the next page, when surfing the net you can resize the page without it being blurred, the phone continually requests your sim pin no, when switching the phone off completely you have to restart by pressing the start button for ages, download speed is pathetic, touch screen at times is unresponsive, notification tones are limited and those that are available are inaudable even at the max volume, no free games as native app, incoming calls cant be cancelled the BlackBerry link software is the slowest I have come across as we speak I cannot even update to the latest software and oh my pictures have dissappered plus the camera is as useless as you can get and I can go on and on .... Oh well another two years to go and I will most certainly get an Iphone

Guess what? The Z10 is the best phone I've ever used and you obviously got a lemon. I suggest you contact your carrier about getting a replacement unit. And before you jump ship from BlackBerry, spend some time on forums dedicated to iPhone users. I GUARANTEE (in capital letters) that they have many problems as well.
Need support? Ask for it. Otherwise, your rant has been heard and I wish you luck with your next phone. Cheers.

IPOD touch 4 ios 5 what a dissapointment

after ordering a IPOD touch 4, before it was delivered after being delayed. Apple lowered the price and upgraded to iOS 5 and icloud. Now the iphone 4s is the same price as the IPOD touch 4 8gb.The iphone 4s has 32gb. I use smart playlists when listening to IPOD and is a feature that I use the most and like the best about the ipod and itunes. The smart playlists will not sync to the ipod 4 as the smartlist is set up in my itunes. This is a huge dissapointment. I have contacted support and they could not trouble shoot the issue succesfully. The playlist is correct when viewed when clicking on the playlist while the ipod is sync however is not listed that way on the IPOD. also if I'm using a smart playlist why would i want the shuffle feature at the top of the list. Can't believe this bugged issue wasn't resolved before they launched this ios 5. also all the suggestions listed in the forums have not worked. This shouldn't be this difficult. I suppose I will just return it and go back to my Ipod 5th generation.

Had that problem. I realised my iPod is on 24/7. So I've started shutting it down and turning it back up at least once a week, or twice a week. Being this an improvement, but not enough, I've discovered I have tons of app in "inactive" state (e.i. in the multitasking bar) and as a dev I know this apps, though most of them dont take any CPU, they do take RAM, thus allowing to be switched to in a fast and straightforward way. As nice a feature as it is, if you have 30 apps or so there, having only 256MB of RAM, you are bound to some slowing down, partly being iOS 5 takes more RAM than iOS 4. So my advice is: Turn it on and off once a week, or twice a month, whatever works for you, and whenever you feel it slowed down, shut all (or almost all) the inactive apps. When i do so i have the same response time as in the times of iOS 4.

Working and rendering .mts files from a Panasonic AVCCAM

I have cs4 in Windows Vista. I'm shooting on a Panasonic 150p the media is memory cards. Recording mode is PH 180/60I. In the past I used a Matrox RT2 capture card, but capturing is no longer needed. The Matrox did take some of the encoding work away from Premiere and it was faster.
That is until I started producing .mts files. Matrox says they don't support the format. Encoding is a very slow process. I'm hoping for an easy answer. I need to input my files, edit, encode, and then output to DVD's that are NTSC SD 5:4. In other words, TV standard. How should I bring those files into Premiere? Then from that time line, how should it be encoded so that I can create DVD's 5:4, and even an .avi file for Matrox because some cable channels still use video tape. Any answers?

Thanks Jim, However I was assured by an Adobe rep that the new CS4 was the answer. Then, opps, well we'll get it with 4.1 which I'm now using. The even bigger issue is the encoding. Adobe Encoder takes nice looking video from Premiere and renders it very "soft." It is even worse in 4.1. My shots now look like they weren't focused. Tomorrow, I'm getting 4.1 off the comptuer and going back to 4.0 where the "softness" wasn't as bad. Today I ran 9 tests of editing and rendering. When I got to the final .avi, it was not good. This is a huge dissapoint as I've been with Premiere since 2.2. I am going to try EDIUS from Grass Valley. I'm hearing its encoding is much better and it really does deal with the AVCHD generated files. I've got an email in to an Adobe rep to see if there is any solution before I move on to another editing system. But thanks for your suggestion. Chuck

IMovie 11 projects no longer working, preview window is glitched or black, event library not playing imported vids

I am having a lot of trouble with iMovie 11. I bought a new MacBook Pro 15" for the sole purpose of editing surgical videos for work. iMovie 11 was working great initially for me (taking full length surgical video - up to 2 hours) and editing these down to anywhere from 5 to 30 min videos highlighting crucial steps for the surgeries along with transitions, ken burns, etc (with the plan of overlaying narrative voice-over later). I had about 15 of these videos edited sitting in my Project Library and multiple imported videos (dvd to m4v via handbrake then imported via iMovie 11) in my Project Library. Now none of my projects play in the preview window, it's either black or a weird glitchy picture (like messed up pic of my doc or desktop... really weird) and only about 2 of my imported videos play in the project library, otherwise they are just black when I roll over them. My projects are still intact as far as edited clip lengths and transitions, but nothing plays, even in full screen mode. I tried making a new project and the imported video shows in the event library but when I add it to a project it's black (but does play in full screen mode, but impossible to edit this way). I think the audio is actually intact although i'm not positive because these videos don't have any audio (there's some baseline level that fluctuates on the audio bars).
I tried finalizing and exporting a project as an m4v (one that was a combination of two edited imported videos - one of the source imported vids working in the event library and the other not working) and the first half is all glitched up with no surgery video, but the second half is there with the transitions and everything (the half that is working in the event library). This part does not show up when I am trying to edit the project.
fyi - I had deleted some of the videos from my event library to unclutter a little some time ago, the projects were still working after that.
I can find all of my imported videos (in .mov format) that should be working in the event library when I look in the folder:
users/me/movies/iMovie events
If someone could please help me resolve this issue, I would really appreciate it. I put a lot of work and time into these videos and it would be near impossible to start from scratch (which would probably be on some other movie editor like windows movie maker since my iMovie is not working properly even for new projects). I'm hoping this is just some sort of glitch that can be fixed and my projects are still salvagable. I can't remember if this started after I did a system software update or not. This will be a huge dissapointment for me in the Apple platform if I have to scrap my projects because I had just switched over from the PC platform.
I even got Norton antivirus and internet security to make sure I don't have some sort of weird virus.

Did you by any chance upgrade your Mac OS from version 10.6 (Snow Leopard) to 10.7 (Lion) during the time you were working in iMovie on all these projects?
If not, start by deleting the iMovie Preferences file.
Go to the Desktop
Hold down the Option key and choose the Go Menu > Library
Go to Preferences > com.apple.iMovieApp.plist
Move the .plist file to the trash and restart iMovie
See if the Project files react any differently. Failing that try doing a Repair Disk Permissions:
Restart the Mac, hold down the Option key continuously until 2 hard drive icons appear
Choose the Recovery Volume as your startup disk and let it run until you see the Desktop
Choose Disk Utility from the Recovery Menu
Run Repair Disk Permissions in Disk Utility
Reboot the Mac and when you see the Desktop appear launch iMovie
See if the Project files are the same or different. Next step after this is to one at a time take the Project folders out of users/me/movies/imovie projects. Move one to the desktop and start iMovie. Try skimming the projects that acted up recently. Moving one project at a time might help isolate which project may be causing problems. You can also place project folders back in their original location after doing this testing and iMovie will recognize them on the next relaunch. It won't hurt anything.

gonna make a quick summery of the post that got deleted with the last forum
radio reception .- AM useless. FM lots of pops and noise
XM radio. - does not have audio 1/2 the time the car is started. must switch inputs
VERY POOR FEATURE SET. the module i bought supports it but the UI and features are TERRIBLE.
Ipod -- Lost ability to play ipod a month after. can scroll through songs and skip them but will not play. plus picking songs is almost impossible while driving. ipod stolen last week so i guess i don't need to concern myself with that for now
VOLUME -- this one is annoying the ****** out of me. at least half the time i start the car i cannot control the volume from the head unit. only works from the remote. after a while of driving it usually starts working from the head unit
here's a new one that just started. within the first 5 min of driving the car when if i hit a bump the radio restarts. never happens after the first 5 minutes of driving. wiring seems to be fine

overall the UI seems poorly thought out. too hard to pick a source. too many distractions from the road while trying to change things. i love the sound and the BT seems to work well but i cannot see myself buying another sony after this.

External Hard Drives Do Not Appear in Finder Window

I have 3 Lacie d2 external hard drives that do not show up in the Finder window of my 17" Power Book G4 (1Ghz/2GB SDRAM/160GB HD). The only way I can access them is to double click the icons that appear normally on the desktop.

I believe to be having the exact same issue, or at least something very similar. I am using Intel Mac Mini as my dedicated Music Server, with 2 external hard drives.
On my iOmega 500GB HDD MiniMax hard drive I have complete iTunes ripped CD library and the second hard drive is Western Digital 500GB HDD I have set up as the Time Machine backup of the iOmega MiniMax drive.
After tonight's automatic software update my Mac Mini got restarted and after that my iOmega MiniMax hard drive (containing the whole iTunes library of about 5000+ uncompressed songs) is not visible in Finder nor on Desktop anymore!
Disk Utility sees it mounted. It verifies and repairs OK with no issues reported.
When I use Terminal and do 'ls /Volumes' iOmega MiniMax drive is listed normally with all my volumes.
When in Finder and chose "Go-> Go to Folder Lists" it is shown as well.
iTunes and Front Row still work and play all of my music as before which means that the iOmega drive is still visible to those applications.
However Time Machine for this drive doesn't work anymore though, although I believe it still might be backing up the drive somehow since I see them both blinking after I rip couple of new CDs and add it to my iTunes library.
Did anybody solve this issue? It is scary and somehow it is my huge dissapointment in Mac OS X and the whole Mac "user friedliness".
BTW never had these elementary issues with my 3 laptops running Vista.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Version 10.0 FREEZING~

Hello, there. I'm having some issues with my Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, version 10.0.
For some reason, every single time I click on "Editor", it will freeze after it gets to the FINAL screen saying "Initializing".
I'm running Windows 7 64bit, Toshiba Sattelite
Software came as a bundle, for Christmas, with my new Intuos Creative Pen and Touch tablet.
I'm a graphics artist and NEED this photoshop to add watermarks and texts to the works I make.
I've tried giving it more than an hour to load up, emptied my disc spaces, defrag'd my harddrives, cleared my settings..
Everything listed on these forums. None of these seem to work.
I even tried contact Adobe Customer Support.. but they said they no longer help people with support once they come out with a newer model for sale.
(A HUGE dissapointment, mind you)
So, I'm going to include a screenshot of the way it's behaving here, so there is NO mix up on the issue at hand.

Freezing is very common in the last two weeks because USA itself is frozen with vortex of snow and ice. I hear white bears are roaming streets NYC.
In your case, assuming you are sitting in a warm room, give three finger salute AND click on the Editor icon to see if it clears the preferences file and start in default mode. To do this:
1) Press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT and Click on the Editor icon at the welcome screen. the process is similar to this one at this link: <http://forums.adobe.com/message/5983210#5983210> except that you need to click on the Editor icon.

New 8 Core - bad graphics

I have a 3 day old 2.8 with the 2600 card hooked to my older 22" cinema display along with a Samsung 920n 19".
First off, both displays using my G5 look great. When I hooked them up to my new mac pro, the 22" wasn't as crisp - it looked like I was getting jagged edges on fonts and small details and the Samsung has a blue hue to everything. Nothing looks as white as when I use the display with my G5. SInce I can't use the Mac Pro for all my work until some 3ed party apps are ready, I have the G5 running both displays and then a switch box for the 19" between the G5 and the Mac Pro out so I can switch that display between the two computers.
When I left the computers on for a short while and came back, the Mac Pro on the 19" was so blue that it there was no white left. After a reboot, it came back to the normally dingy blue tint that it seems to always put out. I messed with the color settings, but it still not right.
Overall, I have to say that the graphic out put on this new mac is a huge dissapointment. I was expecting great grahics - instead I get what looks like what I used to get on my old Mac G3 with it's dying CRT display years ago.
The G5 with the same displays is much better.
I know others with the 2600 card are getting freezes. I'm wondering if my graphic issues are also related to the problems with the 2600. Anyone else notice the color issues?

I noticed the difference between my 2.66 and the new 2.88. I calibrated the monitors and have had no color problems since. A couple of times I have had the line across the screen or a left over block on the screen. I noticed that my 2600 defaulted to the 66mhz refresh rate. I changed that to 75mhz and have had absolutely no problems since. On the PC this seemed to always be an issue and several people more techie than I have always recommended the 75mhz refresh rate since the win 98 days.

T6060 possible problem/error of production...Central speaker is weaker and faded than the others

I just noticed on my recently bought t6060 that the center speaker sounds weaker and faded compared to the other satellites. what might be the problem? i know that the center speaker is intended for voice reproduction in 5.1 streams. On dvd playback i hear the voices, but not as clearly as other sounds that are reproduced by the satellites. When testing the speakers, when naming each channel, the center speaker is softer, faded and weaker than the others. Is it normal to be this way or do I have to return the product to service? Please tell me what to do...if there is anymore testing to be done, or if this is the normal way it should sound.
I tried to connect one of the other 8 watt satellites to the center connector, and it sounds perfectly clear, so there should be good audio output on the center channel, but when i connected the central speaker, which is 8 watts of power in the place of the speaker that i had unplugged earlier before, the central speaker sounded as soft, weak and fade as before. What is the problem? Do I have a defective central speaker? Please guide me what to do. I am kinda disapointed by all this. I have a Creative Live! 7.1 24 bit which works fine and also a Creative MuVo V200 512 MB, and i am very pleased with both of them. That's why I chose Creative for my 5.1 speaker system. Help, please. Thank you very much for your earliest attention.

there was a real faulty center speaker, they've aknowledged the problem and they changed the whole system with a brand new one, which works pretty good. SOme things i have noticed comparing the two packages. I am afraid that the first set that i got was some sort of an RMA product that had been fixed, because although the seals were intact, and the inner boxes seemed new, but the small plastic bags that contained the speakers were somehow damaged and the speakers were not that well packed as this new set that i got a few days ago. The thing that i noticed, unfortunately is that i have now the same problem as SMSMASTERS reported, the fluctuation of the volume. It is perceptible, but after a little bit of fine listening. It's definitely there... I frankly am dissapointed in Creative for not being able to make a good solid product. And how could they market a product that, as you can see on this forum, has so many problems and bugs that need to be fixed? I would advise all those who want to buy new products and recently marketed products from creative to wait a little bit more and not haste into it...i think the best speaker set that will be marketed under the name of t6060 would be somewhere in spring or summer of this year, probably the revision B or C series, cause this one really sucks. The speakers are alright, and they sound pretty clear and accurate, and it's probably a problem with the remote, as other people reported on the forum, but it's simply rude and disconsiderate to buyers and especially to Creative fans to release a product with so many bugs that need to be fixed. It's a shame really, and a huge dissapointment. I wonder how you all feel, all of you who posted on this forum about bugs related to your hardware...

WRT350N so problematic!

I have a WRT350N With a whole lot of problems.
I'm running 1.03.02
First the router won't ping, when I go into the diagnostics page under administration I enter an IP address and click ping, all it gives me is:
PING 192.168.1.50 (192.168.1.50): 33 data bytes No responses at all ever even if I put unlimited as the number of times to ping. Trace route works though, to the same IP. So I have to use Trace Route as a form of ping.
Then, nothing negotiates to GIG, I have a Dell PowerEdge sc440, windows server 2003 with a Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ehternet card. I put the card to Auto and it should negotiate to GIG, the most I get is 100/Full, the laptops that are wired don't negotiate to gig either, but they are running vista so at first I chaulked it up to a vista compatability problem, I guess not.
So I get online with Dell, the NIC and Mother board are working properly. I complained so much they changed the mother board out. Still no good. So I get online with the linksys "GURUs" after leaving me on hold every 5 to 10 minutes they guy asks me, to re-Flash the firmware. So I say okay, then he warns me that 1.03.2 is beta and that it's at my own risk, even though its on the regular download site!
This router has been a huge dissapointment, it works don't get me wrong its doing the job, but not very well, for what I'm getting I could have purchase a lower end linksys. I might load a 3rd party firmware on it, linksys's software just blows!
Any body have any ideas?

I totally agree. I have replaced 2 of these already.
My first one slowed to a grinding halt one day. it was like I was on Dialup when I have 10 down, 1 up Cable. I chatted with online support which was useless. I had a friend also buy one and the thing after 3 days just refused to allow internet traffic. It would get an IP from her modem but would not allow outgoing traffic.
The slow router I had issues with was replaced by the same thing and it works ok as long as you are wired the wireless does not stay connected for more than 10 or 20 seconds and then reconnects over and over again.

I want the old Symbian interface again

I have nothing against Symbian Belle (Nokia Belle) as an Os. But I do have comments about its user interface. The user interface of Symbian Belle is terrable, it is inefficient in many, many ways. The best examples of that are the new clock. That people have nothing to do with as there is an clock in the corner of the screen. Why this is I do not know. But it is terrable and has not usage benifits what so ever. It is also that this removed highly functunal clock that was already in Symbian Anna, along with other highly useful user interface that was in place there.
Then there is an other example. The new reminder is terrable, as it is only able to show one event at the time. Why that is I do not know. But that is an huge drawback and limites functunatly greatly. I do not think that this is like this on other mobile Os out there. But I am not sure.
The new bar and the drag down menu is not an good idea. It has no functionality, it just adds more steps that the user has to take get to the functions it displays. I do not like anything about it. The new signal bar is also hard to read, specally if there is an bad signal. The dots is almost impossible to read. Even if there is a good signal in place. This was not the case with Symbian Anna, the signal level and battery level bars where clear and easy to read and the space between them was utilized properly. Now both are diffucult to read in order to figure out how a lot battery there is left or what the signal strength is.
There are more problems with Nokia Belle. But I am not going to get into them here. But I find that in the whole, the user interface presented in Nokia Belle to be huge dissapointment. I wish that Nokia would offer an decent way to downgrade from Symbian Belle, after all. Mobile phones are just computers that can be re-programmed like any other computer out there.

If I had known about this changes before I upgraded. I would have skipped it for some while now. While the most of the current bug would have been fixed and any outstanding major issues would have been resolved.
I do not like this new interface as I already sad. I have been checking the current look. From what I can tell it is the same now as on cheaper Nokia phones (C2-02 as an example that I have handy). That is, signal bar and battery side by side. Along with other notifactions. This works great on cheaper phones, as they have smaller screen. On larger screens as that are on Nokia N8 this does not work so well, as the icons are smaller as an resault. That makes them hard to read, This mostly applies to the signal bar and the clock. The Android style information bar has no usage to it in my view.
If I had known this. I would not have upgraded. I am going to get me a new Nokia N8 in few months time for a other phone number that I have (as I want to have fast phones in two countries when I travel between them). If that phone has new enough version of Symbian Anna (25.7). I am not going to upgrade its firmware. If it comes with Symbian Belle, then so be it.
As for Symbian Belle I really would like an theme option to change back to older interface. I find the Symbian Belle system in its own good. Besides bugs in the media section of it that needs to be fixed soon as possible (both video and audio player).

Macbook Pro w/ Retina Display Issues with Wifi with Bluetooth.

I have a Macbook Pro with Retina Display, 2.3 Ghz model. I've noticed that while on wifi, when I use a bluetooth mouse or even turn on bluetooth on my computer, the wifi performance severely decreases for a short period of time. While using a bluetooth mouse the wifi intermittently fails and I need to shut off wifi and turn it back on to correct the issue.
Using the ping utility on terminal I have confirmed this in that when bluetooth is turned on, a large number of packets are lost for about ten seconds.
Has anyone else been experiencing this problem and is this an issue I can correct myself or should I contact Apple?

I have the same issue with my macbook pro with retina display. I have 2 macbook pros. I never would of thought that a bluetooth signal was interfering with both of them. I had a gateway wireless router that only had 2.4 Ghz 802.11 b/g, which is the same frequency of bluetooth. I know that bluetooth bounces from channel to channel, whereas wifi sticks to one constant channel (normally). I have reinstalled my mac twice, thinking that somehow my drivers were corrupted. This was false becuase everytime I reinstalled it did the same thing, Act fine for 5-10 minutes and randomly the internet connection would freeze up all together for 10-20 seconds. I have also tried contacting apple multiple times and they tried to do a smc and pram reset. They also tried to get rid of my chaches in my computer. It all seemed to be fine, and then when I got off the phone it would act us once more.
     I have read numerous articles to try and fix the situation; one of them was to try change the location of the network and change the MTU size. No help. I called At&T (my internet provider) and got a new router and that did work for a while. But eventually acted up again. The router was still 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g. I read this article and found out that my Magic Mouse might be causing the issue. Turns out to be true. Everytime I would browser the internet or browse the itunes store and it would freeze, i would immediatly turn the bluetooth off and what do you know, it works!!! This is a huge dissapointment in apple however. It seems to be only a macbook pro w/ retina display issue. My other macbook pro only acts up when i'm using my newer one (something is wrong with the bluetooth and wifi in the retina for the 2.4 ghz frequencies.
     I just got a Airport express, and have not experienced this issue what so ever. This is due to the fact that it is a dual band wireless router. It supports 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz both at 802.11 a/b/g/n which is a major improvement compared to what I had. I use the 5Ghz frequency and have no issues still.
     This is still an issue however because if I want to go out and use anothers persons wifi, I can't control their frequency. So I will still have this issue.

Oracle Virtual Assembly Builder or Oracle Template Builder

HI - can anyone confirm if Oracle Virtual Assembly Builder is going to be the replacement for the Oracle Template Builder? I've been using the template builder quite successfully over the past couple of weeks, and I thought I would give the assembly builder a go, and my impression is that it is utter rubbish.
It doesn't have even half of the functionality of the old template builder, and if Oracle are going to use this as the only template deployment tool for Oracle VM it would be a huge dissapointment.

The Oracle Virtual Assembly Builder (OVAB) product is not a replacement for the Oracle Template Builder (OTB) tool. They both have different purposes.
OTB can be used to create a VM template with any arbitrary set of packages you want installed along with the linux distribution. But, once you create a VM instance from that template, you have to manually configure the contents of that template.
Alternatively, OVAB creates a specialized VM template that is constructed and configured to run a single instance of a particular product component that you have selected to be packaged into that appliance. Currently the list of supported products include WebLogic Server, Coherence, HTTP Server, and Database. The differentiation between OVAB and OTB is that as part of creating the VM template, OVAB extracts properties specific to the product that's packaged into that template, and then allows for those properties to be dynamically specified and automatically configured when that VM template is instantiated.
So OVAB and OTB are created with different uses in mind. OVAB is specialized for creating appliances containing specific products, while OTB is intended for creating VM templates containing arbitrary s/w packages.

Test: NEW soundblaster z DRIVER ( SBZ_CD_L13_1_00_28 )

creative has launched new SBZ_CD_L13_1_00_28 driver for soundblaster z seris in december 2014..i installed it immedialty with hope more performance improvements.. but
testing the new driver was a huge dissapointment for me. my advise is DO NOT INSTALL it.. there is big performance problem with this driver.. when i install the driver,i saw serious fps drops in games, espicially when alchemy enabled. at first i thought this happend because of new graphic card drivers but it wasnt. when i reinstall previous driver of soundblaser z the problem was solved.. my cpu boosted , no fps drops and works great with alchemy as well.. i think creative will relaunch new driver soon..

I like my soundblaster z because of its performance.. It doesnt matter what sound settings you use, soundblaster process all audio without overload my cpu.. But with new driver i feel like the cpu usage has increased.. This easly can be seen espicially when alchemy enabled.. Im not talking about specific game.. My all games are affected.. Pes15, grid autosports, call of duty advNced warfare.. I reinstall priveous driver.. Problem solved ..i got again Nice performance with quality sounds what i expected form my soundblaster..
