Ctios - agent log in error
Any solution for this issue.

But able to log in other device with the same agent login credentials.
Tried,
Restarted the computer
Restart \ Reset the IP Phone
Disassociate \ associate the device in pg user in call manager
Reconfigured the device profile \ Line configuration
Reconfigured the Agent profile \ device target in ICM
Restarted the cti manager services in call manager.
The issue still exists, any thaughts or resolution steps or advices will be acceptable...
Thanks you all for the response & sorry for the belated response.
As mentioned, deleted the phone profile / recreated / then added in pguser, but it didn't resolved.
Work arround done- Restarted the ctimanager service (off hours), after that disassociate / associate the phone under pg user in call manager, this resolved the issue.
But restart of ctimanager service for 1 user is not proper solution.....
Thanks,
Thanveer

Agent Logs out and Logs in back several times
Hi,
Agent Logs out and Logs in back several times without his intervention. this was observed with one agent. Any idea what would be causing? We use a custom CTIOS client and we observe that only one agent had this problemHi,
Do you have access to the client desktop and the CTIOS server logs ? Look for the network related errors, sometimes the process in ICM might be giving up..

SCOM agent install fails Error 80070035 - the network path was not found
I have deployed SCOM 2012 agents to most servers (2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012R2) in our estate but some either fail to install or are not monitored. I assume the two problems are related, but for now I am concentrating on the servers that fail completely.
Installation is from the Discovery Wizard and I have about 20 servers that fail of various server versions.
So looking at one specific server that is failing to install the agent - a 2008 standard service pack 2
The firewall in on and file and printer sharing is enabled for domain, remote administration is enabled for domain
I added a specific rule to allow TCP 5723 and 5724
DCOM is enabled
I can Ping the target server from the SCOM server by both name and FQDN - both return the same IP and our DNS server has only one entry for this server
I can browse to the admin share \\server\C$ from the SCOM Server, using the same account that I specify for the agent install that is a domain admin with rights on this server (and on the other servers the agent
did install to) and the server has plenty of disk space available
I am not sure what else to look at so would welcome any ideas
ThanksHi Petro,
I have a Agent installation failure cheat sheet, For your error 80070035 it is said to perform a manual installation.
So i would like to understand which version of SCOM is this ? 2007 R2 or 2012 or 2012 r2 ?
Also check if your agents have the WMI service started and enabled ?
Also if yours is a SCOM 2007 R2 do you have a RMS & MS in your management group ? If yes then Pushing the agent installation from MS may cause such issue. So would suggest you push the installation from RMS.
Also check if your Network connectivity meets the minimum requirement as recommended by SCOM. Below is applicable for Both SCOM 2007 R2 & SCOM 2012 & 2012 R2.
Component A
Component B
Minimum Requirement
Root management server or management server
Agent
64 Kbps
Root management server or management server
Agentless
1024 Kbps
Root management server or management server
Database
256 Kbps
Also check if you have any Anti virus / Firewall which is blocking the install / communication. If yes disabe or add the "Monitoringhost.exe to the safe list or what your feature is.
Check if you have another IP assigned to the NIC card and remove it tempraurly andchecl.
Also post the event logs of the Agents which are in not monitored state for analysis.

This problem occurs if the LockFileTime.txt file is located in the following folder on the remote computer:
%windir%\422C3AB1-32E0-4411-BF66-A84FEEFCC8E2
When you install or remove a management agent, the Operations Manager 2007 management server copies temporary files to the remote computer. One
of these files is named LockFileTime.txt. This lock file is intended to prevent another management server from performing a management agent installation at the same time as the current installation. If the management agent installation is unsuccessful and
if the management server loses connectivity with the remote computer, the temporary files may not be removed. Therefore, the LockFileTime.txt may remain in the folder on the remote computer. When the management server next tries to perform an agent installation,
the management server detects the lock file. Therefore, the management agent installation is unsuccessful.

HassanWhat do the CTIOS Agent desktop logs show? Usually you'd need to fill in both CTIOS Server Side A and B host-names/ip-address and ports while installing the agent desktop (same hostnames/ports if it is Simplex) .
If it shows offline it usually means the desktop is unable to reach the server. You can also check to see if there is anything on the PC blocking the packets to the CTIOS server usually antivirus, firewall etc. -

I purposely set this error so my agent would produce the error. The error listed below prints to the Java Console in Lotus Notes. I would like it to print to an agent.log I know this can be done through the use of a StringWriter and e.printStackTrace(StringWriter). But I need some documentation. Can anybody help??
Below is a snippet of the agent and the error follows.

Writing log as ERROR to notify administrator
Is there a way to write to WF log as ERROR so Admin can be notified by email? Right now we use Agent.Log(str) but origin would be DEBUG and requires logging mode set to Test Mode.
Peter-
I don't believe there is.
Why not simply send a custom email when trouble arises - assuming that mail connectivity is not the issue. 8o) -
Error is not getting logged in error file while running dataload maxl
Hello All,
I am running a Maxl to load data in a database which is running fine but noted a weird issue that the errors are not getting logged in error file. Suppose i changed the name of data file then it should give error something like
ERROR - {Error no.} - Unable to open file {filename} which should be logged in error file but my error file is still empty.
I am using the Maxl -
import database {dbname} data from data_file {filename} on error append to "D:/Error/errorfile.err";
Any inputs please...
ThanksTry to use single quotes and the backslash. It may depend on the operating system and /or the version of essbase used. This is an example from one of my maxls:
on error append to 'D:\Hyperion\logfiles\myload.err';

THE DATABASE CONNECTION IS LOST :;; WIERD ORA-01012 NOT LOGGED ON ERROR
ERROR: ORA-01012 NOT LOGGED ON ERROR
I AM USING A JAVA SWING INTERFACE (JDK 1.1.8), WHICH USES JNI TO CALL C PROGRAMS WHICH IN TURN CONNECTS TO THE DATABASE, ORACLE 8.1.6.
A DATABASE CONNECTION IS ESTABLISED IN THE MAIN CLASS BY CALLING A FUNCTION FROM THE CONSTRUCTOR.
FOR ALL OTHER FUNCTION CALLS WHICH ARE MADE FROM WITHIN THIS CONSTRUCTOR, THE CONNECTION STAYS.
BUT AFTER THE CONTRUCTOR CALL IS COMPLETE, DATABASE CONNECTION IS STRANGELY LOST. THUS ALL OTHER FUNCTION CALLS FAIL BECAUSE OF CONNECTION ISSUES GIVING ORA-01012. THOUGH IF I CHECK UP IN THE DATABASE, THE CONNECTION DOES FIND AN ENTRY.
SO IT APPEARS THAT SOMEHOW THE JAVA INTERFACE LOOSES TRACK OF CONNECTION. BUT STRANGELY ALL THE FUNCTIONS WORK IF CALLED FROM THE CONSTRUCTOR......... BUT THATS NOT THE IDEA.
PLEASE HELP, THIS PROBLEM IS BUGGING ME FOR WEEKS NOW.
THANKS
AMITapologise for the caps lock.
i am working on a previous system with java swing front end which alread uses jni, and connects to database using pro *c.
My problem is that the connection is lost as soon as the constructor of the main class is run, giving an
ORA-1012 NOT LOGGED ON ERROR.
But if i place the same calls in the contructor all the database call work.
It somehow appears that the java interface looses the connection context. Though the session does find entry in the oracle dynamic tables as long as i dont close the front end main window, thereby meaning that its the jave interface which looses the context.
part of the code of the main class eiquser.
//constructor
public EiqUser() {
super();
initMRI();
private void initMRI() {
try {
/* initialize geoManager environment */
int rccc = new EiqCfuncs().eiqInitEnv();
//eiqinitenv is a c function which connects to database using pro *C
EiqCfuncs cfuncs = new EiqCfuncs();
//EiqCfuncs has the prototypes of c functions used bye the java interface
this.ivjFileMenu.setText(cfuncs.eiqGetText(resNum.getTEXT_FILE_MENU())); // sets the menu name
and so on.........
public void eiqUser_WindowClosed(java.awt.event.WindowEvent windowEvent) {
new EiqCfuncs().eiqTermEnv(); // gives ora-1012 error
//eiqtermenv is supposed to disconnect from data base, but returns an ora-1012 not logged on erro
return;
//eiqtermenv closes the connection with the data base. But fails in this case. if i place the same call ( eiqtermenv) in the initMRI function or the contructor it succeeds.
Plus if i dont use the java interace and use a c stub for executing the same sequence of functions, then i dont face any problems.
the proc calls exectuted ultimately by...
:::eiqinitenv
exec sql connect using :sqlid identified by sqlpw; // succeeds giving sqlerr.sqlcode=0;
::::eiqterm env
exec sql commit work; //fails giving 0ra-1012 error
exec sql rollback work;
Why is the java interface loosing track of the connection once done with the constructor of the main class?? The session still finds an entry in the oracle dynamic tables.
Please help
Thx

Thanks Now I am able to Create a database , but with one error,
When I created a database using DBCA, at the last stage I got this error,
Database Configuration Assistant : Warning
Enterprise Manager Configuration Failed due to the Following error Listener is not up or database service is not registered with it. Start the listener & Registered database service & run EM Configuration Assistant again....
But when I checked the listener was up.....
Now what was the problem, I am able to connect and work through sqlplus,
But I didnt got the link of EM and when try to create a new connection in sql developer it is giving error ( Status : failure - Test Failed the Network Adapter could not establish the connection )
Thanks & Regards
Creation of the dbcontrol requires a connection via the listener. When configuring the dbcontrol as part of database creation, it appears that the dbcontrol creation step runs before the dynamic registration of the databsase with the listener is complete. Now that the database itself is completed and enough time (really, just a minute or two) has passed to allow the instance to register, use dbca or emca to create the dbcontrol.
Are you able to get a sqlplus connection via the listener (sqlplus scott/tiger@orcl)? That needs to be the first order of business. -
SQL Server 2012 Developer Edition will not install. Setup files don't even get copied completely. Win 8.1. ACT instance is loaded & can't be deleted. From log file: Error: Action "PreMsiTimingConfigAction" failed during execution.
Hello,
I am glad it worked.
Thank you for visiting MSDN forums!

Passing "Caller Entered Digits" to CTIOS Agent Desktop through IVR.
Hi,
Please suggest me on the below issue-
I need to Customize CTIOS Agent Desktop for the Screen POP-UP, where is Customer ID and Customer Address etc should be populated in CTIOS Agent Desktop. I have created the tabs for these (i.e. Customer ID and Customer Address), Now I need to send values(Customer ID) from IVR to CTIOS Agent Desktop, so that it can populate on Agent Desktop.
Please let me know to achive this.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
Manish Gupta.Use the Call.PeripheralVariableX (X could equal 1-10). The call leaves the IVR and you pass the CED to ICM, ICM looks at this CED and puts it in a peripheral variable (PV for short). These 10 PVs are past on to the desktop once a call is received, they are part of the call context and travel with the call.
