Customizing MSS reporting period dropdown
We are in the process of upgrading our portal from EP6 to EP7 (NW04s). We have installed the updated business packages for MSS which are now web dynpro iViews. In the previous selection criteria iView that we utilized, we could set a property "Selection period values" to customize the entries available in the period dropdown. I do not see such a property on the new reporting iView I am using, mss~rpt. Is anyone familiar with how to accomplish this?
Hi Darren,
We do have a property in the iview for which you can set the period. You need to know the name of the property. Give us the iview name so that we can have a look.

Customizing MSS reporting selection period dropdown list
We have diffrent ABAP programs that uses the PNP logical database and we want to customize the period selection dropdown list on the MSS reporting iview. In same scenarios we want to display only 'Today'. In these scenarios we use the report together with a variant.
When the user execute the report, the selection period on the variant is used and that is 100% correct. The problem is that the user change the selection period on the frontend (on the Iview) and this is not what is reflected on the output of the report, becasue the report uses a variant.
Therefore we want to customize the period selection dropdown list on the Iviewin the scenarios where a report uses a variant.
I know that we cannot customize the perido selction on the Iview, beacue we cannot set the properties on the Iview.
Is anybody familiar with how we can accomplish this.

Hi,
I was wondering if it's possible to modify the layout of the iView com.sap.pct.hcm.rpt_objectselection. We want to move the start button from the bottom of the iView to the top.
Also, I was wondering if you start a report without selecting an employee, an error message appears between the "Reporting period" dropdown and the employee selection section, but the message is in German. How can I make that error message English? Is there a translation table in SAP for this?
TIA!!
KevinHi Kevin,
It's not possible to customize the location of the start button in the Object Selection iView.
The issue with the error message sounds like a translation bug in the localization properties. You'll need to open up a OSS message to have it resolved.
Hope that helps.

Custom Reports in MSS Reports iView
I've looked all over for the answer to this. I've pulled a custom report through the MSS Reports iView, however, the selection criteria (personnel numbers and orgs) are not being passed. The custom rpt is being displayed at the selection screen for the custom rpt. Do I have to do something additional on the custom rpt, like remove the select screen? Is there something I'm missing in the config for the iView? Thanks!

Bypassing selection screen in custom reports added to MSS reporting
I have created a custom report (using PNP) in R/3 and added it to the MSS reporting (not Launchpad). Even though the manager is selecting his subordinate employee and clicks report result, he still sees a selection screen which i have defined in the custom report.
When the manager runs a sap standard report RPTABS50, he sees data of the employee only he selects.
How do i bypass the selection screen in the custom ABAP report i have added to the MSS?
Thanks.Has to take an alternate approach. Picked a standard report by SAP and modified to our requirements.

Mss reports - add module pool (dialog) to the list
Hi experts,
I need to add new reports to MSS reporting.
Is it possible to add module pool (dialog) to the MSS reports list?
I got an error when executing the program " no object stored within selected period".
The portal seems like it cannot trigger the data from backend.
Is it related to dialog program that we use?
What is the best solution because we need the manager to choose from dropdown button through the MSS reports.

No reports displayed in MSS Report Launchpad
Hello everybody,
We set up ESS/MSS on a distributed environment.
Backend:
ECC 6.0 EhP 3
Single-ABAP Stack
Installed Backend Component EA-HR 603
Activated Backend Function EA_FIN_1
Portal:
NW 7.0 SPS 17
Single-Java Stack
Installed Components: SAPPCUI_GP 603 SP4, SAP_ESS 603 SP3, SAP_MSS 600 SP15
Problem
The configuration works fine for a couple of ESS and MSS iViews and pages, but we get the following problem with MSS Reports:
-> When calling the Launchpad no reports are displayed and an info message is shown telling "No objects were personalized".
-> When clicking on "Change Launchpad" you see several reports sorted in groupings. They are already listed in the table of shown reports but are not displayed in the launchpad.
-> When clicking on "Save and Exit" you get two additional info messages telling "No Applications entered", but no reports are displayed. When you then open "change launchpad" screen again the reports totally disappear from table of shown reports.
Portal Launchpad Configuration:
-> pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/com.sap.pct.erp.common
-> The launchpad iView connects to the backend via SSO which works fine for a lot of other ESS/MSS iViews
-> As application parameters the following is configured: "class=CL_FPB_SNI_ACCESS&role=MSS&instance=REP&display_external=X"
Backend Customization:
-> When launching transaction "fpb_launchpad_cust" with role MSS and instance REP you can see all the reports which are displayed in "change launchpad" screen.
-> All the reports are Transaction Reports
-> The Manager's Desktop (MDT) is not used
So:
1.) Why are the reports not displayed in the launchpad, but in the "Change Launchpad" screen?
2.) Did we forget any customizing?
3.) Why do we see such info messages like "No objects were personalized"?
4.) And what refers the application parameter "class=CL_FPB_SNI_ACCESS" to?
Please help me,
DennisHi everybody,
finally we managed to fix this bug on our own.
We set up the Managers Desktop (MDT) as suggested by SAP. But the MDT's reports could not be converted to the launchpad.
Then we recognized via debugging that for any reason the following entries were missing in table FPB_LP6_SNI_REQ:
- Role ROLE C 3 MSS
- Instance INSTANCE C 3 REP
Adding these entries manually fixed the problem.

Problem in Logic for Customer Ageing Report
Hi,
I am developing a Customer Ageing Report in which i am facing a problem i.e. i am taking tables BSID,BSAD in which i ham taking the open items first and then i am using for all entries in it on the open items and i had debugged it and data picking is correct .
But the MAJOR problem comes when the data is stored in the respective coloumns i.e. 0-30 ,31-60-61-90 etc.. Currently i am comparing the code with the Standard Report i.e.S_ALR_87012126 it is not coming accurate...
Is there any way to solve this problem ....
Edited by: nav009 on Jan 8, 2010 11:39 AMHi,
First you need to calculate the Due date of the Transaction with the help of FM 'NET_DUE_DATE_GET'.
Once you get the Due date calculate the value wf_nod as wf_nod = p_budat - wf_due_date where p_budat is the date on which you want to run the ageing report and wf_due_date is due date of the transaction.
once you get this wf_nod write the following logic :
IF wf_nod < 0.
wa_tab-ndue = wa_data-dmbtr.
ELSE.
IF wf_nod <= pnod1.
wa_tab-amt1 = wa_data-dmbtr.
ELSE.
IF wf_nod > pnod1 AND wf_nod <= pnod2.
wa_tab-amt2 = wa_data-dmbtr.
ELSE.
IF wf_nod > pnod2 AND wf_nod <= pnod3.
wa_tab-amt3 = wa_data-dmbtr.
ELSE.
IF wf_nod > pnod3 AND wf_nod <= pnod4.
wa_tab-amt4 = wa_data-dmbtr.
ELSE.
IF wf_nod > pnod4 AND wf_nod <= pnod5.
wa_tab-amt5 = wa_data-dmbtr.
ELSE.
IF wf_nod > pnod5.
wa_tab-amt6 = wa_data-dmbtr.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
ENDIF.
Collect wa_tab into it_tab.
where pnod1.......pnod5 are the aging period as 30,60,90,180,365 etc.
by this you will get correct results.
Please get back to me if you need some more help on this.

RaoDear Rao,
I think, none of above suggested reports will ful-fill your requirement.
Customer No.---Customer Name - Sales Order Nos.--SO Value
And this data, needs to be fetched, based up on period, as entered by user.
There are some other factors, need to be considered, as:
Whether or not, Rejected/ Return Order values, need to be detected from originally booked SO amount, in to the report.
In my opinion, you must have to go for Z-development.
Write-down your functional specification for Report-requirement and discuss the same with ABAPer, from where values (Table-Field) needs to be captured and what are all check-points need to be coded-down.

Hi all,
Our client requires aging report
for a customer in the following format
Customer Code,Name,0-30 Days,31-60 days,61-90 days,
91-120 days,121-150 days,151-180 days,180 + above days,Row Total (all days).
Condition: By Aging date
Thanks
JeyakanthanHi Jeyakanthan,
SAP Business One displays the relevant open receivables in four columns for the time interval for customer aging report.
The fourth column includes open receivables for the days/months/periods prior to the first three columns. For more information please refer to the explanation for 'Time Intervals' field in Online help.
Based on the testing in 2007 version, it is improved that there is one more column added there, which means if you set 'Time Intervals' as month, you may get five columns in aging report, the first four columns are for 4 months and the last column shows open receivables for the months prior to the first four columns.

Customer aging report in Sales Order PLD
My customer would like to have customer aging report to be displayed in Sales order PLD. kindly let me know whether it is possible through system variables. if so, please let me know the system variable values for diferrent aging periods like 0-30, 30-60, 60-120, and 120+. etc. Pls suggest any other solution if this is not workable.
Hi Rajesh
The system variables exposed for the ageing report will not be available for the sales order report. You will need to create multiple fields on the PLD to achieve this. The best would be to use the JDT1 table and Select Debit minus Credit columns. Then add fields with dates as rules and apply each ageing block to each date period (rule) as a sum of debit - credit. Unfortunately SAP Business One does not have a balance table where balances are stored, and they are always calculated on the fly from the journal tables. The alternative is to add a User Defined Table and store the Ageing in this table, and then simply join this table to the BP for the sales order in the PLD. Updating the table will have to be done possibly with a stored procedure.
Kind regards
Peter Juby
