Customizing Request not Prompting

Hi Everybody
I configured some settings in spro like PROUCT ALLOCATION, ATP Group etc.
While creating those objects customizing request was assigned to all my configuration settings in spro.
Recently i unlocked the request in se03 and deleted the Customizing request because it was not in the sequence.
Now when i go to the same transaction and save the object it is not prompting me new customizing request.
When i change existing settings then system is prompting the Custoizing request.
I would like to reassign custoizing request for all my objects which were created earliar.
Please help.

Hi,
If you don't want to make changes and want to use the changes you did earlier and deleted, go to the several activities in SPRO, select table view and after Transport. It will prompt you asking for the transport order.

Thanks for the reply.
See if you can change some text fields and try saving it.
I tried with changing the Text , system is prompting me the Request but we have more than 37 Product Allocation Objects and Sequence.
Else on the menu bar Table view option, select transport, it would ask you for a request.
I tried with this option, syste is not picking the objects into request.(Request is generated but system is not picking any objects when i check it in se09 under the node of the request)
Please sugest me.

Hi,
Generally in SAP If u have changed any object whether it is customize or Workbench object once it is saved in one request and if u have deleted the same form request and if u r trying to change the same objects then the system will automatically save into the same request.
IF the old request is released then system will ask new request.Please check the old request ...

Creating a new job and position prompts customizing request...

Dear All,
        I created a Job and Position through PP01 transaction. I am facing 2 issues while doing so...
1. System prompts for Customizing request when i try to save the new entry.
    What table/settings do i need to maintain for turning of the customizing request promptings.
2. Once i save the entries(after entering some dummy customizing requests), when i check the
    HRP1000 table for the new jobs and positions... The table entry shows 2 records for each Job and
    position. One entry with Plan version '.:' and another with active Plan version '1'.
    I need to have just one entry in HRP1000 table for each job/position with ACTIVE plan version.
   I checked T77S0 table, it has active plan version maintained against the PLOGI-PLOGI entry.
   Please let me know what table i need to maintain to handle my requirement.

Hi Nanda,
When you create new job or position in sandbox system it will not ask for the request number,since you generally dont transport the objects from sandbox to test system.
When you create a new job or position in development system, it will always ask for request number. This is because, in most of the cases, you need to transport the job and position to test system and then to production system.
Without a customizing request you wont be able to transport those changes to next system.

Prompt for Customizing request when saving Sales Employee (VPE1)

Hi,
When we try to create Sales Personnel through SD Menu path (VPE1), on saving the system prompts for customizing request. Since this transaction is a master data and we dont transport this data to our production system. Suggest me a way to avoid this transport request while creating Sales Personnel.
We are currently using version 3.1i and upgrading to ECC6.0. In 3.1i we use transaction PAL1 to create Sales Personnel However it will not prompt for Customizing request
Also checked the SAP Note Note 854390 - FAQ: Use of the sales representative in SD without HR
Help me on how to turn off this customizing request. Basis and Security team could not able to turn this off.

hello, friend.
you have 2 choices:
1. create a transport request, save the data but do not release it for transport.
2. when the dialog asks you for transport request, just close this. the system will give you a message about links. just ignore it.

Change "Create a request" button in SMPortal (SSP) to point to custom Request Offering (not Generic Incident Request)

Hello MSSCSM community,
is it possible to change the request offering mapping of the "Create a request" button (Image1)? By default it points to "Generic Incident Request" request offering. But this is related to a sealed MP and cannot be edited. So i cannot
change name, image, user prompts etc. I created a new custom request offering "Incident request" and disabled "Generic Incident Request". But now the "Create a request" button throws an error (Image2) because Generic
Incident Request is not available anymore. How to map the button to a custom request offering?

Thanks a lot for your replies. The blog entry is very interesting for having a diffrent "Request offering" mapped to the button instead of standard "Genereic Incident Request (EN)". But i now figured out a very easy solution for me.. i unpublished and disabled "Genereic
Incident Request (EN)" and then system takes the sealed "Genereic Incident Request" (without (EN)) that cannot be edited. I simply reenabled and published "Genereic Incident Request (EN)" and now i can modify this completely and its mapped to the button
by default. I think system always uses sealed "Genereic Incident Request" as fallback. Only constraint is that i cannot change the MP and Template in Request Offering "Genereic Incident Request (EN)". But template can be edited also.. so its fine for
me. Sorry for this kind of questions, i am new to the MSSCSM topic.
Maybe this will get more flexible in future releases of scsm.

XI: Alerts - Step by step issue " Prompt for customizing request"

I am going through Michal Krawczyk's blog XI: Alerts - Step by step
Michal Krawczyk and between step 4 and step 5 I run up against an issue. I cannot save it because I get a popup saying "Prompt for customizing request" then I click the list button and it says " You can only include objects of this type in customizing requests only" ( a little redundant I must say ) but anyway - the net result is I can't save and lose all the work I just did.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

LSMW recording SM30, prompt for customizing request

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to use lsmw for uploading data into a customizing table. For this I recorded the creation of an entry with transaction sm30. At the end of the recording (when saving) the prompt for a customizing request pops up. When executing the resulting batch input, it get's confused (in my opinion because of the transport request popup in the recording).
Is there a way to prevent the popup?
I've read in a different thread that I can create 1 entry, then do the recording for the lsmw in the same session. This sounds good to me, but I don't see how to do this.
If anybody has an idea how to solve this, it would be great.

No u can't prevent that popup, because u're trying to update a customing table: you should considere two main things:
- The call of the request popup can depend on the kind of the client, i.e how the client (dev, test or prod) is set;
- If the cleint is closed, so the modifications are not allowed (for example in production system), your lsmw project can't works.
Anyway by SE11 u can try to create a maitenance view table based on the database table u need to update, leave cutomizing flag and generate the maintenance program (for trx SM30) for this new view: probably now it shouldn't show the popup for the transport (but I'n not sure), if it works u can use it in your project.
It's very hard to manage a table control in LSMW, u can't know how many recodrs u need to update and u can't change the bdc program generated for lsmw.
In this situation the best solution is to insert only one record: i.e. for every record u need to update:
- CALL SM30
- Press NEW ENTRY
- Insert the new record to the top of table control
- Save
- exit
In this way your bdc program doesn't depend on the number of records, as you manage only one record, i.e your project will create a bdc session with as many transaction as many records to be inserted.

Customizing request option is not available in charm

Hi Everybody ,
I have a strange issue.
I created a CR and created a single correction .
I changing the status of single correction to "In development" . At this point system opens a pop up for creating Transport requests with work bench and customizing requests. But for few single corrections i am getting option only for work bench .
In pop up i don't have customizing request radio button.
This issue is happening for only few Single corrections not for all .
Can u please help me on this ?

Customizing request prompt

What is the use of customizing request prompt for every customizing we do?

Hi,
When ever there is a change which needs to be saved in Customization table/view, system is configured to promt for a Customizing request.
Basically a Customizing request can contain several customization changes or new customisation. This requests are used to transport the changes to the required client.
Generic Example:
Development Client (Only in this Client Customisation Changes are allowed) -
>Quality Client (The customization request is transported from Development client, hence no direct changes to customisation is possible) -
>Production client (The customization request is transported from Development client, hence no direct changes to customisation is possible - Few changes which are generally performed in this client are like "Factory calender setup, Number Ranges configuration).

SAP/System did NOT prompt me for a transport request for ALE BD64 CDM View!

Hi Experts,
Am doing ALE setup for sending sales orders IDOC out to a 3rd party system.
I have created the logical system and attached to a transport. Here we dont have necessity of linking a client to this logical system!
Then, I created a Distribution Model (CDM) View in BD64 transaction and added Message types to it, but SAP/System did NOT prompt me for a transport request!! Pls. let me know
1) Is it usual with CDMs creation that NOT prompting for a transport? if so, How my CDM/changes will be moved to QA/Production?
2) If not, Why system did not prompted me for a transport?
3) Then How Can I attach my CDM/changes to a transport?

I don't think we get a TR prompt when adding a view in BD64.
You've to individually maintain the CDM view in QAS & PROD. Also there is a functionality to "distribute" the CDM view, are you looking for something similar ?

Not prompting for Transport request?

Hi Frndz,
Recently our servers had gone into transition phase.
They are moved from 1 service provider to other.
Now the change that I observe is When I create new objects in dev system, its not prompting me to save in
required package/ T request number.
What might be the reason?
Do I need to change any of the settings manually in Transport connections?

Hi,
Please goto Transport Connection screen go to 'Edit menu -- select 'Transport'. Use 'Switch off Standard' and 'Switch on Standard'.

Prompt for customizing request while saving changes on infotype

I have the problem when I am going to change a employees infotype (e.g. infotype 0001 or 0002) using transaction PA30.
If I want to save this action, the screen appear dialog box: "prompt for customizing request."
Has anyone experienced such a problem? If so, can you please tell me how
did you fix it.

Hi,
For master data maintenance no need of transport request. Ask your basis people to remove transport request option for master data maintenance. Earlier I faced the similar problem I report basis team and they removed it.

Customizing tables not asking for Customizing Request while saving data

Hi,
I have some customizing tables in my development server (Delivery Class = 'C').
These always used to ask for a Customizing Request whenever data was saved in them.
Suddenly, I have noticed they are no more asking for any Customizing Request. I cross-checked in the Transport Organizer and confirmed that there are no customizing requests of mine which may be already holding any data entries of these tables.
I wonder why this may be happening (believe it to be some basis configuration issue. also asked my basis guy but he has no clue).

My problem is now solved. Let me summarize the problem and the solution now.
-> The customization tables suddenly stopped asking for a request while saving data.
Somehow the settings had been reset, and as Gautham pointed out, it was corrected in the tcode SCC4
-> Most of the tables now worked fine, but still few of them didnt ask for requests
Here, I found out that the developers had chosen "no, or user, recording routine" instead of "standard recording routine". For such tables, when i check in the tcode SE54, menu path Environment -> Maintenance Objects -> Change, I find the Transport category 'No Transport'. Regenerating the maintenance generator choosing "standard recording routine" fixes this and the tables now ask for a customizing request.
