Data loading of 0vendor from PSA to Data Target(info object)

Dear Friends
Here I have one problem that..i have loaded the master data 0vendor data is coming upto PSA but not going to data target i.e info object .
Here I am giving the system message in RSMO (status tab)
Processing in Warehouse timed out; processing steps missing
Diagnosis
Processing the request in the BW system is taking a long time and the processing step has still not been executed.
System response
<DS:DE.RSCALLER>Caller is still missing.
Procedure
Check in the process overview in the BW system whether processes are running in the BW system under the background user.
If this is not the case, check the short dump overview in the BW system.
Yesterday also I got this error is it concerned to BASIS guy or have to do in BW.
I remind you this is daily job .

Thanks for you response..
i checked in ST22 i didnt find short dump and in RSMO i find transfer(Idocs and trfc):Errors occured,
Data Package 1 : arrived in BW ; Processing : Data packet not yet processed in details tab..i have activated transfer rules also..data is available in PSA..in infopackage tab i have selected full update
and in Processing tab:i find
Data Package 1 ( 11442 Records ) : Errors occurred
also showing transfer rules with red button.
so if u give any solution for above problem i will be highly thankful to you

Need help to load data from PSA TO deta targets

Hello BW Gurus,
I have done the INIT for 2LSI_11_VAHDR and data target I have selected is OSD_CO3. after doing INIT I realized that I have other two ODS which I want select as data target with same datasource.
My question is
1) Is it possible / recommended to create another infopackage and do the INIT for pending ODS.
2) If I want to add the remaining two ODS in existing
request, can you please suggest me how I can do that.

Hi Krish,
I don't think it is necessary to create another InfoPack to load the other two DataTargets(ODS. Instead you can delete the Initialization for source systems from the cube and then delete the same from the InfoPack (scheduler option -->Init for Source system) and then check the other two ODS as Datatargets and then schedule with Initialization option.
Otherwise also you can create IPack for the 2 ODS as datatargets and then do the Init. But i prefer the 1st way unless you have huge data in the cube for the init request.

How to load Data in Info Object

Hi, i have a info-object Called "TYPE"
the value for this is always going to be "S1".
I dont want to add it manually as i want this data to get filled up automatically when transported.
the other objects i either get it from R/3 data source or Flat file.
Should i use a flat file to load this single data ???

How r u ?
You could do this in the Transfer Rules, Click the EDIT TRANSFER RULES(Triangle with Grid) icon opposite to the InfoObject. It will show some options like InfoObject, Constant, Routine and Formula.
Select Constant and enter the "S1" value and CONTINUE.
SAVE & ACTIVATE the InfoSource.
***No, the source may be anything, the value "S1" will be transferred for this InfoObject by the Transfer Rules.

Upload Master data into Info object

Hi Friends,
is it possible to upload master into an info object.
I know when I flag the info object as "info area" I can upload texts and attributes by data sources.
But is there a procedure for a normal info object.
Let say.
I have an Info Object Country(char, 3) and a file like
Country;Description;Language
001; Germany;EN
002; Poland;EN
003;Norway;EN
004......
120;Hungary;DE
Is there allready a procedure or do I have to write a program?

Hi Jimbob,
Normally your Characteristic InfoObject are set to become master data if you tick on the;
"With master data"
You can also load text description if you tick on the
"With text"
Both can be found in the Master data/texts tab. 
Now a prerequisite for you to load data in a BW standard way is by going to the InfoProvider tab of RSA1 then right click>insert Characteristic as InfoProvider in the infoarea where you would like to see you master data.
Based from your example your datasource will be your flat file.
So you need to create a flat file data source with the structure of your file.
Once you have this already you can create a transformation under texts of your master data.
(Expand master data, right click at texts>create transformation)
Then thats it.
You can now load your data from your file, just update the infopack and DTP correspondingly on how you would like to do your data loading.
Let me know in case you have further clarifications on the step.

Delete unnecessary data in info objects by using a process chain

Hi Guru's
I need to make a process chain which deletes data which is not used within an info object. I know how to delete the master data which is not used for an info object. But I want to make a chain for this so I can run this chain so all not used data of all info objects will be deleted. Can anyone show me how to make this chain?

I have a trivial question,
What happens to existing data, when I change the info Object property to have an ALPHA convesion routine ? Specifically I need to know, will it remove any similar looking entries ??

Master data as a data target

Hi,
I am trying to make reporting on master data.I created a master data and in the master data/text tab I also gave the Infoarea name and I got tick mark master data as a data target,k.and master data is also appearing in the data target heading.and also My communication structure is active.
But when I tried to create an update rule it is throwing an error as given below.
this is urgent.
Plz go through below diagnosis :

Create the data source in the Administrator Workbench and activate it.

Updating data from PSA to Data Target

Hi,
I just want to update data from PSA to data target.
There is a process chain running daily it will updating Master Data in to 0Vendor object. This process chain is updating only upto PSA not the data target. I just want to update from PSA to data target.
There is a update rule for 0Vendor but itu2019s not active at the movement and also it is not properly mapped with the 0Vendor.
Is there any other method which I can update data from PSA to Data target with in the same process chain.

If this is BW 3.5, change the infopackage setting to load to data target as well.
This is a other w ay than using the update from infopackage.
if this is 7.0, Use the DTP to load from PSA(datasource) to Target.

How to push a perticular request from PSA to Data target using DTP in BI

Hello all.
I have mulitple requests in PSA & wanted to move only perticular requests (Randomly, say first request & last request ) to data target using DTP in BI 7.0. How can we do this.. ? Is there any option in DTP (BI 7.0)for selective loading of requests from PSA to Data Target..

Hi,
It is possible by using 'zero fetch' in DTP
If you want only the recent req to be loaded.
1. In PSA, change the status of the recent request to red
2. Do a zero fetch
that is processing mode - No data transfer; delta status in source: fetched
With this processing mode you execute a delta without transferring data.
3. change the particular request status back to green
4. Run a delta load

Transfer of Data from PSA to ODS

Dear All,
I have been pulling data from R/3 to BW.I go to the infosource and schedule with data only to PSA.First to PSA and from PSA right click and "update immediately to ODS". When I choose that option the the data would begin to load into ODS , beginning with the concerned request being added in the ODS list of request(Manage). But today when I pulled data it successfully came to the PSA but when I chose "update immediately to ODS" option the PSA traffic light changed to yellow but the no request seems to be added to the concerned ODS in "Manage".

Hi,
In this case there must not be any processing of record from PSA to target. You started the job but it was cancelled within few seconds. Check the status of your job under sm37.
Now, if neither it is active nor present in DSO then select the request in PSA click on amber icon, under monitor turned that technical status in to Red and try to load it again from PSA.

Data is not updating in data target from PSA

Hi,
i have loaded data from flat file to an Info Object(with direct update)....the data is loaded correctly into PSA...when i manually read data from PSA to data target its not updting in data target.......can anyone help with this....thanks in advance..

direct update, so it's master data,
is it attribute or text ? perhaps there's invalid character or lower case,
check in monitor tab detail.
and when you said not updated to data target,
you check by right click 'maintain master data' ?
or you mean it's not updated to reporting ?
execute change run ? rsa1->tools->apply attribute/hierarchy change.

Problem in loading data from flat file to info object

Hi experts,
I am new on bw. I am trying to load data from .csv file to info object. CSV file contains two colums Mat No, Mat Name and are separated by comma and similarly Mat Name is attribute of Mat No in info object. I am doing all steps by following the book but whenever I load data into info object it is loaded in one column. I mean both Mat no and Mat name apears in Mat No column whereas Mat Name column appears empty in info object. I have changed exel file into .csv. Any one can help me sort it out.

Hi,
your flatfile should be in the form of csv ie it does not mean that in a word u seperate it with coma
create an excel file and say save as in teh file name give the name of your flatfile and in the save as type select CSV(comma delimited) from the drop down list
and then in this file enter the data as u fill in excel sheet.
After closing the file right click it and say open with wordpad then the data should appear seperated with a comma.
Try this and then revert back in case of any doubts.........
Are u loading data into BI 7.0 or 3.x

Issue in Hierarchy data upload from R/3 for info object Product Hierarchy.

I am trying to upload the hierarchy data from R/3 system for Info Object Product Hierarchy.
Insted of business content info objects (0PRODH, 0PRODH1, 0PRODH2, 0PRODH3, 0PRODH4, 0PRODH5, 0PRODH6), we are using customized objects (ZPRODH, ZPRODH1, ZPRODH2, ZPRODH3, ZPRODH4, ZPRODH5, ZPRODH6).
In transfer rules the mapped is as specified below
Fields => Info Objects.
0ZPRODH1 => ZPRODH1
0ZPRODH2 => ZPRODH2
0ZPRODH3 => ZPRODH3
0ZPRODH4 => ZPRODH4
0ZPRODH5 => ZPRODH5
0ZPRODH6 => ZPRODH6
Now, when I schedule the Info Package, it is ending with an errors
"Node characteristic 0PRODH1 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH"
"Node characteristic 0PRODH2 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH"
"Node characteristic 0PRODH3 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH"
"Node characteristic 0PRODH4 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH"
"Node characteristic 0PRODH5 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH"
"Node characteristic 0PRODH6 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH".
when i tried to load by flat file, there is no issues. But, flat file loading is not allowed for us.
Please let me know any possible solution to handle this issue.

Insted of using the info object 0PRODH1, we should use customized info object ZPRODH1 which I added already in the external characteristic in Hierarchy.

Master Data is not appearing in Info Object

Hi Experts,
I have loaded text data from data source 0WS_QUEST_TEXT to info object 0WS_QUEST. While running DTP, Load monitor displays 12 records are added to info object.
Also while activating master data it gives error: "Master data for characteristic 0WS_QUEST already active"
When i select Display Data option by right clicking on Info Object 0WS_QUEST, no data is displayed.
Please let me know whether I am missing any step while loading master data.
Please note that info package has already run and data is there in PSA.

Hi,
Just go to Infoobject and right click and select option maintain master data.
Don't put any value and just execute.since there are only 12 records,it should show all the records .
You can also check text table data by getting inside that object directly or through SE11/SE16 option.
When the records are activated ,it will not activate it again,so it is not error,its just a message.
