De-allocating EDM Profile of an Interval Meter attached to an installation

My dear friends, I need sincere help from you .
This is an ISU requirement on which ABAP/functional  suggestions are required.
I have an installation with an interval device installed to it.
We need to do full removal of this installed device by eg32.
The interval meter is having EDM Profile attached to it. Before doing full removal of the device from the installation using EG32,
we need to de-allocate the EDM Profile attached to this interval meter. Manually this is done by using transaction code - EEDM04
but we need to do deallocation of profile using ABAP code.
We need your help in this regard. Could you suggest ISU function modules that could be used to do the deallocation of the EDM profile from the interval Device/Meter.
Your help is really needed and appreciated!
Thanks,
Rohit

I think function module ISU_S_PROFASS_CHANGE might be useful.
Isnt't it an option to prorate the profile allocation on device removal?
You can set system parameter PRORATEPRO for this in customizing of device management:
PRORATEPRO (Limit Prof. Alloc. for Rem./Repl./Mod./Chnge to Logical
Reg.)
During device installation/replacement/removal or when changing the
logical register number, you can use this parameter to control
whether the allocations of the profile to the register are limited.

  • EDM profile uploading

    Hi,
I Ihave developed a report to upload edm profile at an interval of 15 minutes.I am fetching installatiion number ,date ,unit of consumption and the consumption values at 15 mins interval from a text file.My report is inserting values to the database table EPROFVAL15,but while iIam trying to see the profile values through the transaction EEDM02(by giving the installation number and selecting a profile) then m unable to see the values. Can anyone tell me the cause of the above problem .
I have used the function module ISU_DB_EPROFVAL15_UPDATE  to insert values. Is this problem related to the time zone.actually in the database the profile values should  get inserted for a profile 5.30 hours before(for example: on 30.06.2010 for profile no:50
consumption value for time 00:00:00 should get stored on 29.06.2010 at 00:18:30).

  • EDM interval meter with CT/PT ratio

    Hi,
I have an interval meter register, which i have mapped in EDM as a profile. But the consumption getting recorded in the profile is not getting adjusted based on the CT/PT attached to that device.
How can the CT/PT ratio along with the meter ratio can be included to the consumption recorded in profile.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Meters have Billable meter multipliers derived from meter and CT/PT ratios. For scaling purposes, CT/PT ratios are stored at Device level for Non Interval Meters.
For Interval Meters, consider to apply CT/PT multipliers before importing the interval data into SAP..In this case, the rate data for Interval Meters correposponding to RTP rate will ignore the CT/PT factor during the billing run.
    Hope this helps..
    Thanks

  • EDM Profile Allocation

    Hi experts,
I have been trying to allocate the profile to an interval register, but I get an error as given below:
Record    not found in table EPROFASSROLE
Can someone please guide what are the standard SPRO settings for
    Define Roles for Profile Allocation
    Allocate Operand Roles
so that Profile allocation can be carried out.
    With thanks & regards,
    Vinodh

    Vinodh,
standard SPRO settings are delivered by SAP (roles for profile allocation config), example roles 0001 u2013 0009.
You might be interested that the flag "RA - Role Used for Allocation of Profile to Register" is set for your role.
I have never used any config for Allocate Operand Roles
    Hope this helps, Tom

  • Non-standard EDM Profile intervals

Can 15 minutes intervals like 05,20,35,50 be accommodated in EDM.
    00:05
    00:20
    00:35
    00:50
    01:05
    23:50
To my knowledge, it cannot be. We just had got an interval meter readings like that under a test scenario. Also it does not make sense as the RTP pricing has a very slim chances to be in that format.
However would like to confirm from the experts.
    With thanks & regards,
    Vinodh

    Yes you can.
P.S One small note, while using EDM please see the below area for correctness of interval length:
    1. RTP interface
    2. Register settings for maintaining interval length
    3. Profile Header creation.
All of them should have ideally the same length of interval.

  • Table for EDM Profile with Installation or Device numbers

    Hi
Can anybody answer Table for EDM Profile with Installation or Device numbers?
    Thanks in advance.
    DGR

    Hello,
You allocate the profile to a register so you want to have your logical register number.
If you have the equipment number you could go to table ETDZ or call FM ISU_DB_ETDZ_SELECT and fetch the registers.
If you want to see the table of profile allocations you can check table EPROFASS.
If you use IS-U-EDM the tables which contains informations about profile values are EPROFVAL*...
Hopefully some of this infomation is useful for you.
    Regards
    Olivia

  • ISU_S_WORKLIST_INSTALL - Interval Meter Replacement scenario

I have used Function module 'ISU_S_WORKLIST_INSTALL'  to replace old device with a new device.
I have passed all the register meter readings for all the registers in old and
new device, alongwith other parameters accordingly to the Function module
and it replaced the old device with the new one correctly.
I tried to use the same function module  'ISU_S_WORKLIST_INSTALL'   to  replace installed interval meter
with a new interval meter. I passed the meter readings for both old and new meter.but  it is giving error.
"You cannot make an entry in field No MR"
"Specify a device that is installed"
When I tried to run the function module 'ISU_S_WORKLIST_INSTALL'  in dialog mode,
I see  that meter readings for both old and new meter is not populated and If I give the
readings on screen itself , it replaced the old meter with the new meter in the installation correctly.
Can anybody help to understand what to do so that function module passes meter reading values
( that I am pasing to function module)  for old and new interval meter at run time and it replace the old device with the new one.

I tried this.  It is working fine for Normal meter.
But in my case, the meter is an interval meter so in this case, on eg30 screen( device replacement ) , always  the first register is coming grayed-out (No entry is possible).
So,even when I am passing the Meter Reading in auto-auto_zw accordingly to function module 'ISU_S_WORKLIST_INSTALL', it is giving me error -
"You cannot make an entry in field No MR".
I don't know what to change in  auto-auto_zw so that all the meter reading got correctly populated into old and new device meter reading fields and device get replaced.

Re: Hey, I had met a problem with installation. Can any one help me?
This worked for an English version and the concept should work with all Adobe programs - new or old (hopefully in any language). My guess is that you have/had an older version of Acrobat/Reader on your computer hard drive that needs to be *completely* removed first. Uninstall the new (and any old) Acrobat; then try using the "kb2..." guideline link below before reinstalling the new Acrobat. I am including the lengthy instructions in order to help others with more extensive installation problems. Good luck!
I live on a fixed income and use CS for a hobby. I had problem installing Adobe Creative Suite (CS1) to Windows 7 64-bit Pro on my new computer. Also installed Adobe Photoshop LR3. What I learned: All Adobe products (Flash, Acrobat/Reader, Photoshop, Creative Suites, etc.) leave a VERY pervasive footprint on your hard drive. Logic finally worked for me.... think of building a house; there is an order you have to do things in. First, you have to clean the area before laying the foundation; then you have to build the framework before you put the roof on. You cannot install an older program over ANY newer program; and you will sometimes have a problem installing a newer program containing Flash, Reader, etc. unless you "erase" the older versions of Flash, Reader beforehand. If installing older programs, do a Custom/Manual install; do not install older versions of Flash, Reader, etc.  packaged with your Adobe software.
SOLUTION (not easy, but it works):
I first tried this; it did not solve my problem (but, if applicable, may help others).  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Win dows
Before doing anything, make document and any database/presets/cache back-ups beforehand (keep notes on their designated location*); manually create a System Restore point. (Be prepared to reinstall Windows if necessary - I didn't have to.)
Completely and meticulously eradicate (clean) your hard drive of ALL Adobe programs [uninstall, remove remaining folders, and remove only the registry entries that have the Adobe name attached (unless you are an expert and fully understand the other entries)]. Use this as a guideline  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/400/kb400769.html
Do a Custom/Manual reinstall of all your Adobe products *in order of release dates* (OLDEST first).... do not include Reader, Flash, etc. If your CD will not automatically run at this point, click "Open folder to view files" (use Computer/Windows Explorer, if necessary). Click "Adobe Creative Suite (or your desired program) ==> Setup.exe" (IMPORTANT: Make sure that Reader, Flash, etc. are unchecked.)
After each of your desired Adobe programs are installed, test to insure they boot up. Then download the latest Reader, Flash, etc. apps and install them (I did this in order of release date - oldest first). Do test boot(s) again.
Copy/Paste your document and any database/presets/cache back-ups into the appropriate folders (*this will vary depending on your programs and your filing system).
It has been four weeks and all my Adobe programs work flawlessly - system is stable, no problems!

  • Update Consumption Value in EDM Profile From Meter Readings in DM

    Dear,
Can it be possible that consumptions values from meter readings (for non interval readings / Non AMR meters) in DM imported / transfered to profiles in EDM.
    Sohail Ashraf

In general non-interval measured point of deliveries are dealt with by a synthetic profile.
The synthetic profile is assigned to the installation and can be normed, e.g. to 1000 kWh.
In most cases you will have several synthetic profiles, where each one is used for customers that have such a profile.
Then in billing the usage factor is updated in such a way that the usage factor * normed consumption = actual consumption of customer. So if the customer consumed 2600 kWh the usage factor would be 2,6 for that period if his synthetic profile is normed to a 1000kWh.

  • EDM Profile upload and Timezone

    Hi friends
When importing profile values using std BAPI, I am facing a problem, my time zone is EST ( UTC-5) but the data from interval (CMEP format) meter is in UTC thus a value of 05:00:00 in the file is actually 00:00:00 in the system. Now it is becoming difficult to match the data against the local time ( EST) both in Table and in display during profile value upload
I have tried changing the time zone in the system and in user profile. can you please help
    Thanks
    joy

    Hi Roy,
Use FM ISU_DATE_TIME_CONVERT_TIMEZONE. On table TTZZ, you have the all existing Time Zones.
Here a Test for you case with FM test interface.
      Import Parameters               Value
      X_DATE_UTC                      02.10.2008
      X_TIME_UTC                      05:00:00
      X_TIMEZONE                      UTC-5
    Export Parameters               Value
      Y_DATE_LCL                      02.10.2008
      Y_TIME_LCL                      00:00:00
Hope that this is exactly what you mean.

  • EDM Profile values

    Hi all,
Could someone tell me what is the industry standard of profile values under Profile value Category "Quantity", whether it is readings or consumption.
As of now when we compute the billed quantity it is calculated as sum of the profile values, indicating the profile values are consumption values.
Are there also scenarios where meter readings (instead of consumption) are used in profile values. If so what is the procedure to compute the consumption
    With thanks & regards,
    Vinodh

Profile values are typically consumption (electricity or gas, resp. kWh and m3) or demand (electricity, kW).
I have not seen a scenario where the profile contained the readings. However if the meter (or metering system) would provide this information on a periodic time basis it would be no problem to store it in a profile.
Consumption would then have to be derived in the RTP interface from the readings in the period billed.

  • ISU-EDM Profile Value Import

    Hi all,
While importing profile values from MS-Excel file (in transaction "Change profile header") the system is giving error "Error Importing Date, Check import file". I would like to know if any specific date format, different than exported file, is to be used. How do we import the profile values for test purposes i.e. without using BAPI/IDoc?

    Hi,
If the format in SAP is dd.mm.yyyy, you should also be having format dd.mm.yyyy in your OS. If your OS is Windows, then under Control Panel, you have to make the necessary changes under u201CChange the format of numbers, dates and timesu201D.  This is likely to solve your problem.

    dear Barry Neaves
actually, this setting is the default setting ( from SAP ).
    is it a bug?
Well, after i changed it to $(DIR_EXECUTBALE)\jcontrol.exe

I can eliminate the red color.
