Decimal places in charts

Hi
I have this SQL code for a pie chart and it rounds items down to 0% instead of showing decimal places. Is is possible to change it to show 0.5% for example?
select null link, PRODUCT label, 100*ratio_to_report(COUNT(ID)) over () value
from CHART_BY_PRODUCT
WHERE REGION = NVL(REPLACE(:P17_REGION, '%null'||'%', NULL), REGION)
AND LOB = NVL(REPLACE(:P17_LOB, '%null'||'%', NULL), LOB)
AND TRUNC(TO_DATE(DATECALLED)) BETWEEN TRUNC(TO_DATE(:P17_FROM_DATE))
AND TRUNC(TO_DATE(:P17_TO_DATE))
group by PRODUCT
order by count(id) descRegards
Adam

Basically this function - 100*ratio_to_report(COUNT(ID)) over () - is showing values in percentage. i.e. 40%, 20%, 5%, 1%, 0%.
I want it to show the percentage with decimal places i.e 40.52%, 20.3%, 5.2%, 1.25%, 0.25%
Can I change the function somehow to show two decimal places?
Thanks
Adam

  • How to change the decimal places in the value axis of a chart in WAD?

    Hello,
The key figure in my chart has 2 decimal places and I want the value axis to show the same. How to do that?
    Thanks in advance, Nathalie

    Hi,
change the Format property of the ValueAxis-Line to 0.00
Then the axis displays its values including two digits after the decimal.

  • Some urgent chart issues : Lost labels & erroneous decimal places

    Hello everybody,
we have some new and really urgent problems with some charts.
    Lost labels
Like you can see in the figure below, our charts sometimes loose some lables on the graphs. There are some different scenarios for the problem.
    1) Two neighbouring bars have similar values and similar height. So the labels would overlap. In that cases, the charts loose one of the two labels. (see the yellow markers on the bars in the figure below)
    2) A chart´s graph tends to the maximum scale of its surrounding container div. The chart components then often "decide", that they do not have enough space for a label and so do not display these labels (line in figure below).
Is there any possibility to fix these problems? Manipulating the charts via css doesn´t work, because the missing elements are not created at all. So there isn´t any element in the DOM that could be adressed.
    Erroneous decimal places
In addition to the problems above, we have another one that causes ugly headaches. The values in some charts have 14 decimal places. Settings in the query (we use BW queries as DataSrc) or in the initial view are completely effectless. First we supposed that the problem correlates with some chart types, but in the meanwhile we get the problem with almost all types.
Is anybody out there with similar problems or any ideas to fix the problem?
Thanks so far & kind regars,
    Sebastian

    Hi Tammy,
thank you for your very quick response. I´m working with IE 10.0.9200 and Design Studio 1.2 SP1. The Application runs normally on a BOE-Server. but the problems occur even when i run the application locally.
But first of all i will check the thread you recommended.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Formatting decimal places in scatter charts???

I set up rather simple X-Y chart with numbers that have about 5 significant decimal places. All 5 numbers show up in the X chart axis labels. I can't find any way to tell Numbers to use only two decimal places in the chart labels. Does anyone know how to do this? I tried changed the displayed decimal places in the original cells but it doens't effect the charts.
    TIA

Thanks Brad for you quick response.
It kind of worked... I think I might have something else going on. Not sure what though.
With the changes made in the script you suggested, the X-Axis has changed to two digits but now it displays  " 1.dd "
Any thoughts where else I might have gone wrong?
    Thanks again

  • Bex: overall Result: number of decimal places

    Good day
How to I change the number of decimal places for the "Overall result" in a query?
    Your assistance is appreciated.
    Cj Faurie

    Thanks for your response.
The number format in properties for the KF (formula created in query) has been set to '0' decimal places. I also use the "Average of all values <>0" in the calculate results for the KF. If you use "Summation" then the decimal will apply, but not with the "Average .....".
My "0CALMONTH" is in rows and results is based on this (set to 'never') as I want the Overall Result to display first as my chart is based on the OResult and not the individual figures.
"This is the layout of my report"
    Territory     Overall Result    2007/02     2007/03    2007/03
    Boland       205.8333           21             242          355
The "overall result' should display as '206'. Why does the 'decimal place' not apply to "Average of all v...."?
    Thanks

  • Problems of setting values% with 2 decimal places in any graphics. What sho

Guys, I have the xcelsius 2008 and can not make it work chart with values % and 2 decimal places. Already set up everything that I know the spreadsheet and graphics.
Someone knows what can I do?
Thanks Anderson - Sao Paulo - Brazil.

    Hi Anderson,
To get values in % and upto two decimal, follow the below steps:
Go to Chart properties-> Appearences Tab-> Text tab.
Select the "Vertical Axis Labels" and go to the Number format present below in the window.
Change the format to "Percentage" and set decimal places to "2".
    This should work.
Please revert incase you have any queries.
    Thanks,

  • Removing Decimal Places from Graph labels

One axis on my graph is showing decimal places despiting formatting the report field to show 0 places - the graph is reading decimal places directly from the database underneath the report .  Other than editing each axis label manual (or editing the original database field) does anyone know of another way I can elimate the decimal places from the graph?

That solution only works for the x-axis but not the y-axis (or the other way round, depending on whether the chart is horizontal or vertical).
The values of the y-Axis are formatted according to the default Number Formatting. If you can afford this, change the default number formatting to 0 decimal places.
Another workaround would be to create a formula. Let's say amount was your database field. Then the formula would be
    ToText({AMOUNT},0)
Put that in your chart instead of the original database field.

    Florian

  • Format to 2 decimal places?

Hi, i need to display my data in 2 decimal places but now i'm getting results after some calculation (for eg. 2.336224). How can i round it off to 2.34?

I also agree with Arun and Rajesh,
When I need to specify the number of decimal points as part of an expression, e.g. ; - Tooltip series properties of a chart.
    I use; -
    =ROUND(Fields!Total.Value,2)
    or
    =FORMAT(Fields!Total.Value,"N")
    I hope this helps someone.

  • Can not change the number of decimal places in the normalization of result

    dear all
i want to see the proportion of some data, for example, the income of May is 300, and the total income is 1000, i need to display it like 33.33% . so i set the
Calculate single values as normalization of result, and then it display 33.333%, i like to display only two number of decimal places, so i set the number of decimal places as 0.00, but i doesn't work, it still display three decimal numbers.
maybe you say i can use the percentage function like %CT %GT %RT, but i need to allow external access to my query, so the i can not use those functions.
can somebody helps me ? your advice is appreciated.

hi,thanks for your advice, but that doesn't suit for my problem.
before i set the normalization of result, i can change the decimal values. After that i cann't.
In your thread, someone proposes use the T-code OY04. but this wouldn't help. As i change to other key figure, such as user quantity, when i set normalization of result, it still display 3 decimal values.
i think the point maybe lie in the normalization of result. please advise... thanks...

  • Decimal Places in Item Cost must be 6 characters while in Journal Entry 2.

    I have the following problem:
Accounting needs to see and work with 2 decimal places, but the item cost is needed in 6 decimals.
If I register a A/P Invoice and i go to the Journal Remark, the Journal Entry should be in 2 decimals. If i look for the Item Cost on the Wharehouse this cost should be in 6 decimals.
Is there a way to handle Accounting in 2 units and Cost in 6 Units
    Thank You very much

    Hi Saul,
The request appears illogical, how can the accountant work with 2 decimal places & the item valuation is held with 6? The stock account with 2 decimals will never match the stock audit report with 6 decimals.
I'm afraid the SAP Business One core functionality does not cater for this need. There are no 'behind the scenes' journal entries. A JE is legally binding so you need to decide whether you wish to work with the most accurate calculations regarding item cost as possible (6 decimals) or accommodate the accountants & work with 2 decimals in the journals.
You might want to take the nature of the stock into consideration, if there are huge quantities at small individual prices 6 decimals might be better, if you use mainly standard cost &/or have no major cost fluctuations when using MAP/FIFO, 2 decimals might be sufficient.
    All the best,
    Kerstin

  • Decimal places in standard input schedule templates

    Hi Gurus
I have created some input schedules using standard template. User here will be entering some values in 2 decimal places (like 1.25) but when I enter any values in the cells, it automatically round off the values and displays values without any decimal places.
I have tried changing the formats in Format control panel by changing the DATA / DEFAULT 's PATTERN / ALL for ROWs but it did not help.
Please help how to resolve this.
    Cheers
    Swathi

    Hi nilanjan,
Thanku, I resolved the issue using Format Range option with the below code
CRITERIA    EVALUATE IN  FORMAT     USE     PARAMETERS    APPLY TO
INPUT          ROW                1234,56      ALL                --                   DATA
