Deliver Related (Project delivery)  Billing

Is it possible to do delivery related (project delivery) billing in PS. Our enterprise uses PS for the manufacturing and procurement process, but there is compelling business / statutory requirement to do delivery related billing.
Currently we call the materials in sales orders, then do sales order  delivery and then delivery related billing. This leads discrepancies and necessitates duplication of data entry, once in project networks and then again in sales orders.
Looking for a solution to do project delivery and bill the materials referencing this delivery.
Muraleedharan.R

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your prompt response.
I hope the picture is clear now.
The business requirement is:
1.There are hundreds of deliverables in the project each having individual billing value
2.We have specific billing requirements for each billing document involving advance adjustments (down payments), deferred debts (payments which due only after a specified time from the billing date) etc.
3.Billing needs to be linked to (read referenced) the deliveries from excise procedural angle  (CIN)
Now,if the delivery is to be referenced in billing ,and if a very complex picing procedure involving lot of manual pricing conditions are involved, what shall we do?
Presently we are calling all the materials as sales order line items, assign the line items to WBS, do sales order delivery and then do delivery related billing. The process is fine, but involve duplication of data entry and lot of manual intervention which is quite un-SAP like.
My postings are against this back drop.

  • Billing experts: Combining order related and deliv. related

    Hello Billing experts,
I am just wondering if it is possible at all to combine order related and delivery related to ONE billing document (one DMR and one delivery note with the same payer).
Or do we have to use Invoice List? I can't make it work.
Same payer, same Payment Terms and different pricing procedures(with RL00). What other fields that must have identical values, so the billing documents will be grouped in the invoice list?
    Thanks alot in advance!
    Best Regards,
    Tuan Vo

    Hi Tuan Vo
Since there are many other criteria, its not a viable Solution to combine, order related and delivery related to one billing document even though its possible in SAP.
The following prerequisites must be met for a Single Invoice from Delivers and/or orders:
    1) the header data appearing in the billing document must agree
    2) the split conditions specified do not apply
As you see, the Delivery related Invoice has always a pre-checking with the Goods Issue status where as Order related doesn't have to.
Hence Invoice lists is the option given by SAP.
However, with an intelligent Copy Control routines between the documents should do the trick.
The system combines documents with the same customer number, proposal billing type and sales organization, and attempts to include them all in the same billing document. If the preconditions are met, then a single invoice is created for the deliveries and/or orders.
Note that When creating several billing documents, user exits can be used to reset the header data, so that more can be combined than in the billing due list and later combine to single document.
There are other fields like Material Group, Billing Dates, Billing Document Type, Item categories which can force for an Invoice split.
Please let me know if it helps.

  • What is diff between delivery related sales order & billing related sales o

what is diff between delivery related sales order & billing related sales order ???

    hi prasanth,
    extending the Answer of shasikanth,
    1) Order Related Billing:
some items are not related to delivery, like service items.
these items will be defined by different ITEM Categories.
    2)  Delivery Related billing:
standard item like TAN,which is delivery related billing.that means for this item we need to create a delivery documnet.with reference to delivery document we need to create a billing document.
    when we define item category,
we miantain whether its order related or Delivery related billing.
The respective field in item category is......
Relavant for Billing  A - delivery related billing
                                  B - Order realted billing
by this we can say item category defines, whether item is relavent for billing or not and also it defines whether its a Order related or Delivery Related billing.
The Respective billing document type will be determined from Sales document type(vov8).

because he is not able to take Tax code for outgoing taxes.
    my isuess is -
I maintained condition records for the taxes in that I maintained Tax Code.
here in delivery I am entering condition value manualy
here how can I enter condition value through condition records
so that he can pick tax code from record.?
For other scenarios like trading, MTO I am not facing this problem it mean that there is no any problem in confguration.
This problem I am getting only in Project.
So How to resolve this problem.?
       We are using TAXINN
    Regards,

    Hi,
You can do mile stone billing.
If delivery related billing is a real business compulsion, there are two difficult options:
    1. Call the materials in a sales order which is account assigned to the WBS element at item level, keep the material in WBS stock, and do sales order delivery and billing
    2. Create a copy control between project delivery and billing document (you are taking a risk as this is not supported by SAP) and do billing referencing project delivery

  • SD report on sales which have been delivered but not yet billed

    Dear all,
Do we have any SAP SD standard report showing a total of the value (preferably by sales office) of sales which have been delivered but not yet billed.
Client has a legacy system which shows report showed up goods which have been PGI'd/delivered but not invoiced - this is exactly what what is required in SAP report.
    Thank you in advance,
    Sastry

    Sastry,
I have used this report "Sales office Analysis- Invoiced Sales - MC-E"
I found something on this forum i.e
VL06F - general delivery list / List of outbound deliveries,
VL06T - outbound deliveries for transportation planning
I dont know if it is useful in any way.

  • Expected Price ED1 EDI2 Sales Order & Incompletion issues re: Delivery/Bill

    Hi,
We are using ED1 and EDI2 conditions for expected price on the sales order to trigger incompletion.  This works fine, and it's possible to use V.25 to release or manually adjust the pricing conditions to match.
However we have problems in the way it is working re: Header/Item - if say we have two lines, line10 EDI1/2 prices are ok, complete; line 20 EDI1/2 conditions also added but incorrect and therefore incomplete.
Now when user trys to create a Delivery - they can create a delivery for line 10 but the line 20 errors because it is incomplete.  This at line level would be ok, if we could subsequently Bill this line, but doing this through VF01 errors because of message 'VF055 (VF)055 Pricing error in document'
The only way to clear it is to clear line 10 on the sales order, say V.25 which then allows Line 10 to also be Delivered and Billed.
The above is with incompletion status group 06 which should prevent Delivery & Billing.   Alternatively we could use Incompletion status 02, which blocks Delivery but allows Billing.
However this is inconsistant with the EDI1/2 conditions - Delivery seems to be blocked at the Item Level, but Billing at Header Level.
Is there a solution?  Ideally we want the either:-
    i) Delivery to prevented if any line is incomplete for EDI1/2, or
ii) Billing to be prevented only if the line Billed on the Delivery is incomplete on the Sales Order, not any line.
    Any advice appreciated.

    Hi,
I suggest you check copy control (delivery->billing) at item level in tr. VTFL.
Do you use standard routine in 'copying requirements' ? If needed you can also create custom routine that would not raise error for your scenario.

  • Order related Inter-company Billing (Third Party Order)

    Hi SAP Gurus,
We are using SAP R/3 4.6C version.  Normally, the inter-company billing are delivery related and this is working fine.  I am configuring the order related Inter-company billing, i.e. Third Party drop shipment  with Inter-company.  I refered to SAP notes 203876, 63459, 381042 and maintained the copy control between OR => IVA (for TAS) as follows:
    Copying requirement      = '013',
       Invoiced quantity        = 'F', (*)
       Quantity/value          = '+',
       Pricing type            = 'G'.
The issue I am facing is when I try to create an Inter-company invoice (after the F2 Customer invoice), the End customer details is being pulled instead of the Inter-company customer details.  In other words the Inter-company invoice is also being issued to the End customer.  Also the prices are showing in negative.
Kindly share with me if any of you guys know a solution for this.  I have searched all the SAP forums, but couldn't find a similar issue.
My concern here is, in none of the SAP notes, there is no information about the copying requirement at the header level between OR=>IVA.  I am not sure whether this is causing the issue.
    Regards,
    Saravanan

    Hello Mrinal,
Please review the note 381042 Order-related intercompany billing in Releases.
o  Report RVIVAUFT instead of report ZZIVAUFT
        o  Standard requirement 036 'Item/order related IB'
Use this requirement in the copying requirement for billing
           documents for your process flow.
o  Standard requirement 018 'Order-related IB' instead of
           customer-specific output requirement 990.
Use this requirement in the output determination procedure of
your billing documents (in the standard system, this is procedure
V10000 'Billing outputs') for output type RDIV.
o  Standard ouptput type RDIV instead of customer-specific output
           type ZZIV.

  • Create Delivery, Billing and Excise Invoice no. in back date.

    Dear all,
i got sum problem with no. range in export excise invoicing,
therefore to avoid this i created export invoice thru' legacy system, now i want to create the same export order in sap system
how i create export order in back date as actual excise date lies in back date.
what certain changes i have to made in sap system in order to create Delivery, Billing and Excise Invoice no. in back date.
    Plz suggest
    Gaurav

Back date means how many months should be predated ?? You should be aware, you can post a document in SAP one month prior to current month but not before that. For example, now we are in August and you can post a document for July and not for June'10.
Apart from this, you need to have back dated stock in SAP to invoice and the periods (MM & FI) should be open for previous month.
    Dear Sir,
Back dates means 14 days back and in the same month August.
plz , explain what is back dated stock to invoice SAP

  • Depreciation Expense For Related Project Assets

    Dear All,
I have a question, Please help.
How can I post depreciation expense from Oracle Asset to Oracle Project Costing for assets that working and assigned to Projects like equipments and Cars that assigned to project..... and we want to post their deprecation expense as burden in oracle project costing ????
++Please find the below my search conclusion in past few days.++
1- Oracle Say that "There is currently no interface between Oracle Assets and Oracle Projects which allows you to post depreciation expenses directly to projects."
2- I have non-complete idea: I have a project Segment in AFF so I can Post depreciation expense for related project assets to GL directly, with Project segment value and create Expenditure Batch in Oracle costing to manually enter depreciation expense as lump-sum in Oracle costing but it is not preferred to create Entries in Subledger Accounting and not send it to GL so my question in this work-around, Can I Create Expenditure Batch and only create Distributions 'PRC: Distribute Labor Costs' ???
And don't create rest steps "PRC: Generate Cost Accounting Events,PRC: Create Accounting, PRC: Transfer Journal Entries to GL"
Please suggest best solution or help me in my work-around, its urgent
    Thanks in Advance
    I Orouk

Kindly find the below case as example ---
There are 5 equipment like trucks and cars that working in project X100 so I want to show depreciation expense for the mentioned assets as Burden on the X100 Project in Oracle Project Costing Module..
Please Consider the below focal points:
1- Regarding Oracle Assets business Cycles. Oracle Assets send depreciation expense to GL directly and there is no any impact in Oracle Project Costing about Depreciation expense(for Project related assets )
    2- Project X100
    Project Cost = 10000 $
Depreciation Expense for the 5 equipment (Project related assets) = 1000 $
    Real Project cost = Project Cost 10000 + Depreciation Expense for the 5 equipment 1000 = 11000 $
I want to show Real Project cost in Costing Module so I have to record Assets Depreciation Expense for the Project related assets in Oracle Project Costing .... Can you help me about what the best way to record Assets Depreciation Expense for the Project related assets in Oracle Project Costing and please review my suggestion about expenditure batch in 1st post
    Thanks in Advance

    Dear chandrashekar,
Goto  VOV8 , select your order type - Billing - Billing block - keep this field as blank .
Second one , take the default billing type in order type (VOV8) , and Goto OVV4 and click on selection criteria and select billing type , enter your billing type and choose , you will now get the listing of that biling type and check your settings are correct.

  • Automatic delivery & billing

    Hai guys,
Can U help me out in this regard?
there is an integration between third party software and SAP-sd at my client place, if enduser enters data in sales order screen of non-sap system, automatically delivery and billing happens in non-sap system.
Same thing should happen in SAP-sd also.that is the requirement of my client.
can we do automatic delivery and billing after creating sales order in SAP-SD.
    please clarify my question.
    with regards,
    sekhar_sd consultant.

    Hi, sekhar
    there can be 2 way
    1) You can do the automatic delivery after the order creation, using Immediate delivery-> shipping-> maitain sales order types,
For the automatic billing you can make your own BDC for it,
which will create billing of that delivery .
    2) Else you can make BDC for both delivery & billing, so it automatically create del. & billing after the order creation.
