Details Designer for Organisational Structure

Hi,
I see that the position hierarchy detail's designer comes with a "Structure" tab as default. I am trying to get this to appear for the Organisational Structure but having no luck.
Can this be achieved within the console?

as we face exactly the same problem, could you please be more specific on what has to be done so that we will be able to see the extra tab? I mean, we can see it in the administrator's console, but not in the user. It would be of great help if you could describe the steps and the content of what should be added, as we have no experience in xml coding.

Detail Designer for Job in Succession Planning!

Hi Luke,
I want to do some changes (like hiding button, removing or adding a tab) for 'Job' & 'Job Family' in details panel for Succession Planning. But I'm not able to see these objects in admin console of succession planning.
Do I need to make those changes through backend? If yes, please tell me the folder, where I can access relevant files & make the changes.

Hi Prashant,
The Job Family details panel can be edited in the AdminConsole. Go to the Positions module, select Job Families with Successors and then click Details Designer. After you changes make sure you go to the Profile section (the one after Details Designer) and click Copy From Details Designer so that your changes are also made in the Profile.
For the Job details panel you need to make changes at file level. The details panel presentation file controls the layout of the details panel. These are located in AppResources\detailspresentationconfiguration:
Job: SAPJobDetailsPresentation.xml
Job (Profile): SAPJobDetailsPresentationMoreDetails.xml
You may need to refer back to the details configuration to find the button section names. These are:
Job: SAPJobDetailsConfiguration.xml
Job (Profile): SAPJobMoreDetailsDetailsConfiguration.xml

Standard Interface (BAPI) for Organizational Structure.

I want to download the MasterData of a Organizational Structure for a mobile Client, i'm using the MI 7.1 for downloading this, but it needs a standard interface to download the master data,
can anybody tell wht is standard interface for downloading this master data of a Organizational Structure, and what r the necessary fields for this interface.

I've just bought a Macbook Pro 15" and I'm trying to use Photoshop, but the resolution its displaying the images at for 100% are too small. I have to design for the web, so need to be intricate with detail, but I'm finding it adjusts the resolution of the image right down. (I mean you can see the image clearly, but it's too small to edit). When I look at Safari and see a web page at 100% it's clear, but the same page displayed in Photoshop CC appears 50% of the size (even though it says it's 100%) If I move the application window to another screen it adjusts it correctly – leaving all the pallettes, menus and tools correctly sized as they are on the retina display Is there some way to adjust the way Photoshop CC displays images so it is more consistent with what you actually see? There doesn't seem to be any answer on the Adobe forum, so hopefully someone here can shed some light. MacBook Pro with Retina display, 15", OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), Photoshop CC 2014

I tested both ways. With "open in low resolution" ckecked the size of the images is cool, but it is low-resolution including Photoshop appearance.
If "open in low resolution" is unckecked the appearance is good but the very small size.
See the image below. It has 650 x 732 px, 72 dpi. The font of the text "Neste aniversário ..." is with 18pt.

No organisational structure maintained for this item

I am trying to create a shopping cart in SRM 4.0 front end and i keep getting the error no organisational structure maintained for this item. the purchasing group is not being picked up.I will greatly appreciate your help in solving this issue.

Well... I think I have found the cause of the problem. But I dont know how to solve it.
In my Org Model, "Extended Attributes" tab, "Product Categories" option selected. In that place I need to assign my Backend as the Src. System, and then choose my Product Category.
The problem is that I dont have any category linked to my backend system.    Because If I choose my SRM as the Src. System, I can see all the product categories that I have created.
Somebody knows how can I link my Product Categories to my backend?
pd: my current categories were created manually in srm (not imported from r3)

Dear Experts,
I request you to kindly throw more insight in making me understand the Segment, EC-PCA and Buss.Area concepts, where by help me in designing the Ent.Structure.
I have got 3 companies under 1 group, for Designing and Implementation purposes I want 3 co.codes, 1 Group com., if I wish to implement PCA that needs 1 controlling area (which needs to have one Chart of Account) and for consolidation purpose it needs different COA for each co.code. so is it that if I use controlling area I cannot do Consolidation without BPC.
For Statute reason, I want to implement Segment aspect but would like to know, if Segment is any different to Business Area from Reporting and Conceptual perspective.

In your description, you said that all the clients information were stored in a single database, now you want to know which method is better, single database with Multiple Tabular Model or separate database with it's Model?
In your scenario, all the information were stored in a single database, why do you want to separate it or create multiple tabular model? If you create multiple model, then you need change the data source to create PowerView dashboard for each client. As
per my understanding, you just need create one tabular to load all the information. And then use this model to create PowerView dashboard. Using filter to display the information for each client.

Creating organisation structure (SPRO) for an integrated steel plant

HI,
For an integrated steel plant of 2.2 mt capacity (green field) need organisation structure to define. It would be a single legal entity under which the plant would produce wire rods, reinforement bar, billets, coke, sinter, ductile iron pipe, power, pig iron. The ISP will have Blast furnacec, SMS, rolling mill, coke oven, sinter plant, pallete plant, oxygen plant, lime plant, dolo plant, raw materila handling plant, power plant.
Can any body guide to decide the suitable org structure for such spread of manufacturing facilities. We need to identify the hirarchical structure w.r.t Company, Company code, Controlling area, business area, functional area, plant, profit center, cost center with a visioning that in future, the company would come up with other units also of similary capacity.
The plant is at green field stage coming up absolutely from scratch. New set of people has formed the work force top to botton.Desigred reporting (MIS) structure not yet crystalised. Have bent of mind to accept best practice. The plant is in Indian environment.

"Result" row not appearing for the Structure record in Bex Designer.

In BI BEx Designer,
under Rows-> click any Characteristic-> Display Tab-> Result Rows: "Always Display" Option controls Last Row named "Result" (yellow colored) after the actual data reports ends.
But i am not finding this thing for the structure.
Actually my this report is based on 'Structure-> 2 selections' under Rows; once i run this query i get data without yellow colored 'Result" row at the end of report. I wanted to maintain the symmetry with other reports.
Could u pls let me know how to get Query last "Result" record if i use only structure under the rows.

I limit the selection to display in one page, i see the overrall result but i've a result to show up after a Characteristic (result row option 'Display with more than one single value'), it works fine in BEx but not in web.

Transport Request for creating Organisation structure in DEV and Quality.

Dear Gurus,
I have a issue regarding transport request creation for creating organisation structure.
My client has their own basis team, Iam doing the customization in Dev server, when iam creating organsiation structure in dev server ( Easy Access) iam unable to generate transport request, Their basis team is saying that no transport request is created in easy access.
My question is weather transport request is to be generated in Dev (Gloden client) for creating organsiation structure or not. Please guide me.

You can try report RHMOVE00.
It is up to you to either maintain the org structure in dev server and tranport to quality or maintain it directly in quality.

Scenario: Company ABC having Business operation in India and Singapore. Hence the Orgainsation Structure for SD will be as follows:
Company Code:
0001 - ABC Singapore
0002 - ABC India
Sales Organization:
0001 - ABC Singapore
0002 - ABC India
Distribution Channel:
01 - Domestic
02 - Export
03 - Intercompany
Division:
10 - Consulting
Possible Sales Area (Sales Organization / Distribution Channel / Division):
0001 / 01 / 10
0001 / 02 / 10
0001 / 03 / 10
0002 / 01 / 10
0002 / 02 / 10
0002 / 03 / 10
Plants and shipping points requires to be configured as per requirement.
Try to keep the Organization Structure simple, which will further facilite master data maintainance.

Spend Limit Approver for User in Organisation structure

Hi All,
User X is having 'A' as SLAPPROVER in organisation. Business wants to include 'B' and 'C' also as SLAPPROVERS for User X in organisation structure.
Is this feasible?Please let me know.

For the single step spending limit workflow (WF10000276), if the approval limit of the manager1 of the employee is exceeded, then the workitem will be sent to the spending limit approver of manager1 and so on. So each user should have only one SLapprover maintained in the org structure.
However for the n-step value limit approval workflow, WF14000109, the system determines the first approver based on his approval limit, if this approval limit is exceeded then further approvers will be determined until the last approver has been found with an approval limit that is higher than the value of the shopping cart.
