Difference between sales order, period, order

hi gurus,
can any one clarify my understanding as below said.
Sale order costing :
This means the standard costing is generated at the time of sale order creation with reference to (BOM & Routing).  or standard cost can be generated even after sales order completion.
The only difference between Valuated & non valuated is that Goods issue to production order (Purchase order RAW material cost will be caputed in valuated, where current cost of RAW material will be captured for non valuated).
Period & Order:*  This means standard costing with out reference to sale order.

  • "difference between sales order and scheduling agreement "

    hi,
i want to know difference between sales order and scheduling agreement and where use scheduling agreement & where sales order ?
    please help
    amit

    Hi Amit,
Its not hard to find this info at help.sap.com
    Sales Order
Definition: Request from a customer to a company to deliver a defined quantity of products or provide a service at a certain time. The sales area that accepts the inquiry is responsible for completing the agreement.
    Scheduling Agreements
    Purpose
A customer scheduling agreement is an outline agreement with the customer containing delivery quantities and dates. These are then entered as schedule lines in a delivery schedule. You can either create schedule lines when you create the scheduling agreement or you can create them later.
You fulfill a scheduling agreement by creating the deliveries in the schedule as they become due. You process deliveries for a scheduling agreement in exactly the same way as you process a normal delivery. After you have carried out the delivery, the system updates the Delivered quantity field in the scheduling agreement item with the delivery quantity. The following graphic shows the document flow for scheduling agreements.
    Integration
You would use this component if you had outline agreements with the customer that contained future delivery quantities of materials that would be sent at certain times within a fixed time period.
If you work with scheduling agreements for the component supplier industry you also need to choose the "Electronic Data Interchange" (EDI) component.

  • Difference between sales order schedule line and item level data

    Hi All,
Could you please let me know what is the difference between sales order schedule line and item level data?
    Thanks,
    Ramya

    Hi Ramya,
Sales order schedule line contains del date, order qty, rounded qty, confirmed qty, delivery qty, schedule line category, purchase requisition etc.,  ie It contains the full details of sales order data with respect to the scheduled line of delivery.  The total quantity of a sales order item can be subdivided into schedule lines that contain the various subsets with the corresponding delivering dates.
Sales order Item level data contains details of the item in the sales order like material code, net price, net value, UoM, PO details, reason for rejection if any, material group, billing date, plant etc., ie this
contains the full details of item irrespective of scheduled line.

  • Difference between sales order and credit order

    Hi friends,
can any explain about difference between sales order and credit order in SAP.
    Thanks and Regards.

    Hi Narayana,
This Depends upon your Client Requirement.
If you are using the Credit Management to your client. then you maintain certain checks like Simple Credit, Automatic Credit at Sales Order Level.
If the Client want a seperate Document type for Credit Sales and Normal Sales if having Purpose.
Other wise you can use only one Document type for both, because in Standard Sap, For Cash Sale have seperate Document type.
    Please Reward If Really Helpful,

  • Difference between Sales Order and Rush order

    Hi
Whatu2019s the Difference between Sales Order and Rush order
What are the customizations for Sales Order and Rush Order?
    Thanks
    Mahesh

    Hi Kumar,
coming to customization in between SO(Rush order) and OR(Standard order).
    Go to VOV8 T.Code.
The Rush order has the details as "Under Shipping tab",
There will be "X" mark in the immediate delivery .
the Rush order will be having the order related billing.
But the Standard order can be either Order related or Delivery related.
In Standard order after creating the order we are going to create the order we are going to create the delivery by using "VL01n" T.Code.After that we are going to create the billing by using "VF01" T.Code.

  • What is the difference between sales order with picking and without picking

    hi friends,
i would like to know what is the difference between sales order with picking and without picking.
    thanks
    skrishnan

    Hello,
Picking refers to preparing the right quantity and quality of goods for shipping on schedule as required by the customer.
Once picking is configured, SAP Sd automatically generates picking lists and picking labels which can be tagged to the relevant goods. SAP can be configured to ensure that picked quantity is confirmed before goods are issued. This can be done using transaction code VSTK. In T-code VSTK, picking confirmations can be set, which ensure that goods picked for delivery are in accordance with picking slips.
Picking thus helps in monitoring each item using the picking status. Picking is normally done in SAP SD by a shipping clerk.

  • Difference between Sales Order and Stock Transfer Order(STO)

    Hi Gurus,
What exactly is a diference between Sales Order and STO?
    Thanks and Regards
    Rohit

    Hi,
    Sales Order Stock
Sales Order Stock are stock with Special Stock type E. It can fall into the usual stock categories such as unrestricted, blocked etc. but "belongs" to a sales order.  For example, you create a sales order for a part and assign a sales item category that generates an individual requisition, the requirement has an account assignment linking it to the sales order schedule line, you convert that requisition to a Purchase Order.
When you receive the Purchase Order, the stock is placed in sales order stock. It will show against the sales order/sales order line. It can only be delivered against that sales order line. Any availability check etc for that material on any other sales order will not take it into account as it is not available except to the sales order line the stock is assigned to.
    Stock Transfer Order
the cross company Stock Transport Orders can be done by:
    - Configure using transaction OMGN
    - Depending upon the sending and receiving plants, maintain sales organization and customer data in customizing.
    - Maintain the supplying plant as a vendor and attach the plant to the vendor in the Vendor Master.
    - Material type has to be HALB or HAWA.
    - Ensure that the company with sales Organization has a plant to take care of stocking.
    - The PO used is NB and not Stock Transfer PO.
Configure SD for inter-company billing to enable picking up the pricing procedure for billing.
    - Carry Out delivery through process delivery due list and billing through process billing due list.
Otherwise, You need  to configure your Stock Transport Order settings for your Cross-Company:
    Business Transaction to work.
    1. Customer No. for the Goods Receiving Plant - OMGN
    2. Availability Check- Checking Rule (if necessary) - OMGN
    3. Assign a Delivery Type for the Delivering Plant - OMGN (for Stock Transport Orders, NLCC)
    4. PO type (which i belive you have done) - OMGN
    5. Assign Vendor No. to the Supplying Plant (done) - VK02
    6. Assign Customer No. to the Purchasing Plant for the Inter-Compnay Invoice (but you need to assign this to the Sales Organization pre-assigned to the Purchasing Plant),
IMG-SD-Billing-InterCompany Billing-Define Internal Customer No. by Sales Org
***and by the way for the Invoice to work between Cross-Compnay Plants, you need also to have a Sales Org for the Supplying Plant and a Pricing Determination Procedure.

  • Difference between sale order costing doing in SO & Doing in CK11N and CK24

Is there any difference between , costing carried out in Sale Order level by cliking on line item and then thru caluculater Icon in Sale Order    &    running CK11N > CK24.
    PLS HELP ME OUT

Plan Cost means this is the cost of Product or Material or Activity or any others statistical price which we estimate and Plan prices for organizations future activities.
Actual cost is the original/Actual cost we incurred for Product or Material or Activity or any other.
Target cost are the costs that are expected for a certain operating rate.  It is the dynamic value which will be calculated on the basis Operating rate (Operating rate = (Actual activity / Plan activity) X 100), and It is a consistent basis useful for comparisons of the plan and actual costs of a period.
    Ex:
we plan $110 per hour of Labor activity.
but we incurred $125 as actual cost.
for this Target cost is (125/110)*100=113
We use Costing variant for plan to calculate plan price of Order.
when order is created system posts planned costs to the order according to standard cost estimate of product, which uses the planned cost variant.
when the production is carried out Actual costs are posted to the order using Costing variant for actual.  when order is completed system uses this two values to calculate the variance of production order. which can be settled to FI.

  • Difference between sale order Costing & Standard Product Costing

    Hi experts
I wanted to know Importance of Sales Order Costing & standard Product Costing.what are the benefits of these.
    Regards
    Sandeep patil

    Dear Sir,
we are implementing SAP in packing industry. In packing industry in PP Bill of material is frequently change, for this we are implementing sales order costing.
We are doing the following things,
    1. we are doing the inquiry at that time we are doing unit costing.
    2. On the basis of inquiry we are preparing the quotation. the unit costing done in inquiry flow to the Quotation because we r preparing the quotation with reference to inquiry.
    3. Similarly we are preparing the sales order based on quoation and unit costing data flows.
    4. Now when we run the MRP it doesnot explode the unit costing material requirement.
Please tell us how the unit costing material data will flow to MRP run.
    Please reply.

  • Pricing Difference between Sales Order and Invoice

    HI everybody,
The issue is about creating an accouting document from an invoice. When I try to process the invoice to accounting,
a message error runs saying that there is gab between thr sales document amount and the invoice amount.
How such a gap can pe possible?
    Many thanks for your help,
    Stanislas

    Hi Stanislas,
Since there is a manual price entry cancelling the gross price and discounts it would be difficult for me to comment on why this was done. You might have to get in touch with the user who has carried out this activity.
In standard SAP of giving sample, we would use the free of delivery document type and hence the pricing would not be carried out by the system. The document type and item category in this case would not be relevant for pricing (there would not be any manual entries).
    Regards
    NP

  • Price difference between sales order and invoice

    Dear all,
    I have a problem about prices. For example;
In VA01 net price of items: 2.954.241,93
while; in VF01, net price of items 2.954.241,92
Difference occurs because of batches in VF01.
    In VA01 screen;
    Material:100000939 ;                quantity:     1.000,000kg Unit price:146,62 total:146.620,00
    But;
    VF01 screen;
    Material:100000939 ;               quantity:432     (Batch1)
                                                     quantity:366                 (Batch2)
                                                     quantity:162                 (Batch3)
    So a small difference occurs.
What should I do to fix this issue?
    Kind regards,

    Hi
As per your given example :-
    In VA01 screen;
    Material:100000939 ; quantity: 1.000,000kg Unit price:146,62 total:146.620,00
    But;
    VF01 screen;
    Material:100000939 ; quantity:432 (Batch1)
    quantity:366 (Batch2)
    quantity:162 (Batch3)
If you check you will find that system is calcultaing correctly.
In above case total material delivered is 960 Kg (432366162) and reate is 1000 per Kg. so total value is 140755.20. and if you calculate the price separately for each batches separately it will be 63339.84, 53662.92, and 23752.44 for the batches with quantity 432, 366, and 162 respectively. If you add these value it will be same as the value for 960Kg.
Now in any case if you are getting some difference in paise then you may use Price Condition Type DIFF or round off the Price Condition.

  • Difference between incomplete order and backorder processing

What is the difference between incomplete order and backorder processing.

    Hi,
Incomplete order is an order in which all the fileds(To which the Incompletion procedure is assigned) are not filled before saving the sales order.Using backorder processing, you can list sales documents relevant for requirements for particular materials and confirm them manually. You can assign available-to-promise (ATP) stock to outstanding order quantities. In addition, you can withdraw already confirmed quantities and reassign them to different items. This means If the stock of a material has been confirmed to a particular order or delivery, and after that you have recieved an order which ahs to be delivered immediately , then you can change the stock allottment of the previous order to this new order using back order processing. The transaction code for this is "V_RA". Transaction code to see which incompletion procedure is assigned to your sales order type is "VUA2" And to see the Incompletion procedure itself is "OVA2". Kindly please let me know If you need any more information on this.

  • Link between sales order to Credit management

Where can we link between sales order to Credit management?

    HI Gopala rao.,
In VOV8 sales document type there is <b>credit limit & Credit group</b> Where we asign the credit mage, ment data to Order
The configuration part of credit managemnt is
    CREDIT MANAGEMENT:
A credit limit may be a customer’s credit limit, which is the permitted limit of value of open items, such as invoices not yet paid, plus the value of open sales orders.
The credit limit is the total combined value of the following documents:
    Net value of sales order
Open Sales order: order created, but not delivered
Open deliveries: delivered, but not invoiced
Open billing doc: value of billing doc, which has not yet been forwarded to accounting
Open items: forwarded to accounting, but not settled.
    Types of Credit Check
    • Simple Credit Check
    • Automatic Credit Check
    o Static
    o Dynamic
    Simple Credit Check:
SPRO- IMG- SD- Basic Functions- Credit Mgmt/ Risk Mgmt- Simple Credit Check- Assign Credit Check to Doc Types.
    • Based on sales doc types
    • It will check all the above-mentioned docs & if the credit limit exceeds, the system responds in the way defined by you in the configuration menu.
    • Cannot differentiate according to customer
3 ways to Control the Simple Credit Check:
    A: warning
B: error message: the doc cannot be saved
C: warning message with delivery block: the doc can be saved but is automatically blocked for delivery.
    Automatic Credit Check:
This credit mgmt control is maintained by using the automatic credit control functionality. The automatic credit control divides the sales doc types, the delivery doc types, & goods issue into specific credit groups. It also uses the customer’s risk category as assigned to the CMD of the payer & assigns an outcome proc to the combination of the above 2 objects, i.e. the credit group & customer risk category along with the credit control area. The definition of customer’s risk category is carried out in the fin accounting module.
A customer’s risk category is a grouping category that controls the credit check when automatic credit control takes place. Thus one can assign high-risk customers to risk category for e.g. A01, medium risk to B01 and low risk to C01.
Automatic credit check divides customers in to 3 categories:
    • High-risk customers,
    • Low risk customers &
    • Medium risk customers.
A credit check &#61614;can only occur at 3 places: Credit Group
Sales order: for high risk customers
    Delivery: for medium risk customers
Goods Issue: for low risk customers
Credit Control Area (CCA): highest organizational element in credit management. A credit control area is an organizational unit that is comprised of one or more company codes. A company code can have no more than one credit control area. Defined by FI.

One merely creates a credit group for each differentiation in the doc type. You enter the credit groups when you configure the sales doc types for credit management & define the automatic credit check. The following credit groups are contained in the standard R/3 system:

    • 02: credit group for delivery
    • 03: credit group for goods issue

    4500 002 03 Medium risk goods issue
    4500 003 01 High risk sales orders
    4500 003 02 High risk deliveries
    4500 003 03 High risk goods issue
Select line item and go to details, you can decide whether to do Static or Dynamic Credit Check. Credit Horizon can also assigned here. Additional function checks can be performed here:
    • A credit check when the maximum document value is exceeded.
    • A credit check when changing critical fields.
The risk category assignment occurs in the same place as the customer’s credit limit, which is the customers credit management screen. That is, the risk category is assigned to the customer by the Finance in transaction code FD32.
The customer credit master record is divided in to 5 views:
    • Overview Screen: gives an overview of credit settings in relation to the customer, including his credit limit, credit exposure, the %tage of credit limit used, his payment data & his risk category.
    • Address: view gives the customers address details as they appear in CMD
    • Central Data: is a view that shows the total credit limit the customer can receive across all credit control areas as well as the maximum limit he can receive in one credit control area.
    • Status: view shows the customer’s actual individual details according to particular CCA being investigated. This includes his credit limit, percentage used, credit exposure, risk category, whether he is blocked due to credit or not.
    • Payment history: view displays the payments made by the customer for a particular credit control area where a comp code is assigned.
Static Credit Check Dynamic Credit Check
Net Doc Value Net Doc Value
    Open Order Open Order
    Open Delivery Open Delivery
    Open Billing Open Billing
    Open Item Open Item
Compares the total combined values of the above-mentioned documents to credit limit. Plus credit horizon. Compares the values of the following documents to credit limit + credit horizon.
Credit horizon has an attached time period that states that the system is not to include sales orders in the total of outstanding items created after that specified period i.e. for the purpose of evaluating credit, you want the system to ignore all open orders that are due for delivery after the horizon date. Maintained for low & medium risk customers.
    Update Groups
Basically it is a info structure where system stores all the data about credit limit. The credit relevant data is updated in a info structure, where it is accessed & updated. Thus each automatic credit control must be assigned an update group.
    • Update Group 000012
    • Update Group 000015: delivery & billing
    • Update Group 000018: sales order, delivery & billing.
    Update group 000012, updates at:
    • Sales doc: increased order value
    • Delivery: decreased order value & increased delivery value
    • Billing: decreased delivery value & increased billing amount
    • Invoice: decreased billing amount & increased open item value.
    Release Blocked Sales Order/ Deliveries:
    • VKM3: sales order
    • VKM5: delivery
    • VKM4: both
One can see the offending document. Note on the right hand side, the ‘Status Field’. This shows the check, the doc failed. If this field is empty, the doc did not fail a credit check, even though it may be in the list of SD documents that are “required to be released”.
To release the doc, one indicates the doc to be released and then clicks on the ‘Release Button’. The result is the offending doc entry, highlighted green. One then proceeds to save, after which you are informed the doc number has been released.
    • Net value with sub total ‘A’, in pricing proc, will be the basis for credit limit.
    REWARD if helpfull
