DirectShow MPEG decoder filter and SB Audigy 2 Va

I have an application (MyTheatre) that uses DirectShow filters in a graph to play MPEG files. The source filter has two output pins, one for video and one for audio. This post concerns the processing of the audio output pin.
The source audio output pin is connected to the input pin of a Cyberlink Audio Decoder filter. The output pin of the Cyberlink filter is connected to the input pin of the DirectSound_SB_Audigy_2_Audio_[BC00] filter. In GraphEdit I right click on the Cyberlink filter and select properties. I change the Audio interface face to "using S/PDIF".
In the Creative "Audio Console" program I set the SB Audigy 2 to use the Built-In Decoder. I connect my analog 5. speaker system to the 3 connections on the SB card as per the documentation. I can't mess up there they are color coded. (haha).
OK, now my problems.
When MyTheatre is playing MPEG files with AC3 sound, the sound has echo and doesn't match the video. If I play a DVD with PowerDVD and use SPDIF the program sound is distorted, or just simply not there. Not only that the video suddenly doubles in speed. Weird? There are more sound problems but these are the big ones.
So now the questions.
. What DirectShow filter should I use between my source audio filter and the SB rendering filter. Then what settings should I use so that the SB card decodes both 2 chnannel stereo and AC3 Dolby streams.
2. Why does PowerDVD behave this way. If I set the audio properties to 2 speakers (not use SPDIF) all is fine. I realize this is not a Creative product but it seems to be related to a sound issue.
thanks for any help you can give.

I am getting this exact same problem.
I have just bought a brand new AMD64 3400. I install the extergy software from the cd, goto the creative site and get the updates and install them.
In iTunes mp3 files play at double speed, however Winamp plays at normal speed. Power DVD jumps and goes out of synch occationally but does work after a while.
When I log off my pc the windows log off tunes plays at double speed...
I have turned hardware acceleration down to half way on my graphics card...
Can anyone help?

  • QSUF (Query string url filter) and SQL Server reporting services report viewer parameters

    Hi,
    this is my issue:
I have a SQL Server reporting services web part on a page with a report with 1 parameter, lets say it's a client list
Then i have a QSUF that will be used to filter the clients list through the URL
However, once i connect the filter and the report viewer web part, the parameter goes away and is no longer accessible
I'd like to somehow keep the parameter visible, in case there is no parameter sent through the URL, i would like the user to be able to choose a client from the parameter drop down list
I saw that there is a "send empty if no values are passed" option, but i can't seem to get this working properly and i don't know if this option will make the parameter visible again
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the query string url filter web part not worked well with SQL server reproting services web part.
Did you use the Wiki page layout in your environment?
You can change the page to a web part page, then check whether it work.
There is a similar thread for your reference.

Considering that the same WLS-JDK combination works on one machine and does not work on another machine, it indicates an environmental issue.

I am suspecting if it has to do anything with the native libraries being loaded JAVA_LIB_PATH.
Please review the server log file again for identifying differences in LIB_PATH or PATH or any messages saying "Unable to load native.. performance pack.."

I am trying to apply a lens filter in CS6 to a mp4 movie from the phantom 2+. I do the normal steps of lens filter and choose dji, phantom2+, and I click ok and the picture improves and there is less curve etc. What I don't know is why it seems to revert back to the old movie when I come back later on. I know I saved it but I must be doing something wrong. Here are my steps:
    Open an Mp4 movie
    Choose filter, lens correction
    Choose dii
    choose Phantom FC200
click ok and the image improves.
I then save as a name.psd and close the file.
I reopen the file and it looks good. When I play the movie it just jumps back to the old curved horizon.
What am I doing wrong? If you can help me I would be very grateful.

  • How to deactivate Filter and Job in Job scheduling?

    Hi,
    My scenario is:
XI will poll the file from 3rd party system and wil send to R/3 via IDOC adapter.
On every sunday , R/3 will be down for 3-4 hrs for maintenance purpose.
I need to create job scheduling in such a way that XI sould collect all the message coming on sunday during that period
of time and after endtime has reached , it should process those message and should send the message to R/3 system.
I have created Sender/Receiver ID ..also create Filter and a JOBID.
while creating Job ID i specified the following
    1: Start Date    = 18.08.2009
    2:Start Time     = 11.00.00
    3:End Date      = 18.08.2009
    4:End Time      = 15.00.00
    5:Period          =  7
    6:Period Unit   = D (Days)
Job should be scheduled at 11.00.00 and end at 15.00.00 ,filter and Job both should deactivate and after 15.00.00 it should process those messages.
But the problem is it doesnt deactivate the filter.
    I tried using SXMS_JOB_DEACTIVATE and SXMS_START_JOB_AT_ONCE
Both deacitvtes the JOB but not filter.
Can any body tell me , how to go with it.
Also if I have to write a report, what all things are required.
    regards,
    Mayank

    Hi Volker,
Down time for R/3 is more ..so i am not sure whether XI will trying till that time or not.
And XI is not able to than all the incoming messages in XI during that period of time will be Red Flag.
can we write a report in XI such a way that .. all the queued messages should be processed ..thorugh Job scheduling.

  • Top-N Filter and Rank

    Hi,
I want to display the Top-3 records based on the dashboard prompts and also display the overall rank of the record independent of the prompt.
My data is in the format:
    Region Market Revenue
    East New York1 $100
    East New York2 $80
    East San Jose1 $50
    East San Jose2 $60
    North Det1 $125
    North Det2 $20
    North Dal1 $22
    North Dal2 $25
Users will be selecting the Region, Market from Dashboard prompts and want to see the top-3 based on their selection and also see their rank nationally. So, If I selected East Region, my output should be
    Region Market Rev Rank
    East New York1 $100 2
    East New York2 $80 3
    East San Jose1 $50 5
I defined a Top-3 filter and used Rank function but that gives the ranking as 1,2,3. This is expected as it is ranking the filtered set. I tried the Rank By function but that didn't help either.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks,
    Prakash

Build the "overall" ranking in the BMM layer and expose it as a separate column. Then add it to your Request. Now the rank will be independent of the filter.

This query completes in a not acceptable response time of more than 2 minutes and this is why it has been handled to me for possible improvement.
As you might have already pointed it out from the above execution plan, the operation number 19 is the most time consuming operation (TABLE ACCESS FULL of T5). The query without the EXISTS part represents our data. This part of the query is very fast. It gives about 1500 rows. However, when we want to limit those 1500 records to only records satisfying the exists clause (10 records), the query starts not performing very well because of this full table scan on T5 (5,5 millions).
The ideal situation would have been to :
    (a) first join table T5(alias veh) with the table T4(alias obs) using the join condition (predicate 17) limiting the number of record from T5 table
    (b) and then filter from T5 table (predicate 19)
But in this case the CBO is starting by a costly full scan of the entire T5 table (5,5 millions of rows operation 19) before sending this enormous amount of data to the HASH JOIN operation 17 which finally throw away the majority of T5 rows not satisfying the join condition : access("OBSV"."VEH_ID"="VEH"."VEH_ID")
I have already verified that the table statistics and their join column statistics are up-to-date and are reflecting the reality. But failed to know how to let the CBO automatically doing what I want it to do i.e. Join first and then filter.
When I discussed with the client we agreed to re-factor a little bit this query so that it is now completing in few seconds.
The new plan is not using bloom filter and the veh table is accessed via its unique index on VEH_ID (18 - access("OBSV"."VEH_ID"="VEH"."VEH_ID")) before applying the filter operation. Exactly as I wanted it to be in the original query
Have you any idea on how to change this join method/order so that the full table scan is post poned? of course without refactoring the query
Do you think that bloom filter is the culprit here?
    Thanks in advance
    Mohamed Houri
    PS : and  veh.ac_number between :ln_min_number and :ln_max_number
These two imput parameters are beyound the known low and high value. But even when I used min and max value taken from the table (min = low_value from stats and max = high value from stat), the plan didn't changed

    Jonathan,
I got the plan I was looking for.
It is not exactly the same as the execution plan that corresponds to the re-factored query but it is what I wanted to have.

Spot how the predicate 17 and 18 are now in the position I wanted them to be i.e probe first the T5 unique index using the join condition and then filter the table T5
But, there is always a but, why am I obliged to hint?
Where did I got something wrong (statistics, optimizer parameter, etc...) so that the CBO did not opted for this execution plan without a hint?

  • Bayer Filter and colour balance.

    Hi all.
I have recently been acquiring images using a mikrotron MC1363 camera and LV code 'Grab and save to AVI'. I have then used ImageJ to create a stack of U8 images. My problem then arises in that I need to apply a bayer filter and colour balance to the images. I have been sent a correction matrix by mikrotron and extracted pixel intensities from the U8 images, but am now stuck. I don't know how to use the information accrued to give a debayered image of true colour. Any advice would be great.
    Attached is:
    Tthe MC1363 manual
The matrices supplied by mikrotron (lupa1300)
    An image folder containing:
    -A true colour image
-A snap taken using the MC1365 of the true colour image
-Images of the colours red, green, blue, white and black extracted from the bottom right hand image, as u8 jpegs.
    Thanks.
    Dan.

    Hi Danbubbles,
The pixels of the Bayer filter are arranged in a checkerboard pattern on the sensor. There are twice as many green as red and blue pixels in order to mimic the higher sensitivity of the human eye towards green light.
Due to the filter each pixel measures only one color. The two remaining colors are estimated (interpolated) using the eight surrounding pixels. This technique is called Bayer demosaicing or Bayer to RGB Conversion.
    http://www.stemmer-imaging.co.uk/en/glossary/5287-Bayer-Filter
As far as I'm concerned there exit different "de-bayering" algorithm, which are different in terms of quality and performance, but in general
    0#
you "move" a structuring element - which is like a subset of your input-image - across your input-picture starting at row = 0 column = 0, which is indexing the same pixel in both of your input AND output-image: http://www.mathworks.de/help/images/morph6.gif
    1#
then you calculate a new value for this particular pixel in your output-image via interpolating the indexed pixel and its adjacent pixels in the input-image, e.g. like described in this pdf:
    http://www.matrix-vision.com/tl_files/mv11/Glossary/art_bayermosaic_en.pdf
    2#
then you move on to the next pixel which should be at row 0, column 1
repeat, until you reach the pixel at row n, column m

  • Graduated filter and Adjustment brush always use "last used effect"

In my workfow I mostly use opposite effects in the Graduated filter and Adjustment brush.
Lightroom maintains "least used effect" even when changing tools.
Is it possible that each tool retains its last used effect?
In my workflow I mostly use opposite effects when using Adjustment brush en gradient filter. Changing the effects wastes a lot of time when editing hundreds of images.

I agree that it would be nice if the individual tools remembered their own last used preset.
Unfortunately LR does not work that way.

  • Increments Of 100 With Grad Filter and Adj Brush Using Scroll Wheel and Arrows

For Vista 64 bit and Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT driver version 7.15.11.6960,
both the graduated filter and adjustment brush change at increments of 100 or 200 using the scroll wheel or arrows for everything except exposure. Brightness goes from -200 to 0 to 200 while the others go from -100 to 0 to 100.

Seen that as well. Keyboard focus has been an issue for me on Vista x64 OS for quite sometime.Sometimes the arrows don't move in even increments on all the sliders for various adjustments.
In this case the arrow keys move either side of 0 to the maximum exent of the range. In this case brightness has a range of + or - 200 while the other sliders move = or - 100

  • Can't apply Graduated Filter and Radial Filter in LR5 (photo becomes grey box)

    Hi,
I am using the Lightroom 5, every functions are working fine, except the Graduated Filter and Radial Filter casuing me a problem.
When I click on the Graduated Filter / Radial Filter button, and trying to apply the filter (i.e. draw the eclipse) on my photo, my photo in the central pane immediately turns grey, as per below screenshot.
I have to click the Library Module and then click Develop Module in order to get back the photo showing in the central pane, but the same problem appears if I tried to use the Graduated and Radial Filters.
Anybody knows the root cause and solution ? Please kindly help. Thank you !

The easiest thing should be to simply apply the preset to an image, then choose to Update with Current Settings and make sure Graduated Filter is unchecked. Move through all of your presets like this.
I don't know how many suspect presets you have to go through, but you can also manually edit them with a simple text editor to remove the Graduated filter. If you right-click on the preset, you can show in Explorer/Finder. Open the file in Notepad/TextEdit and simply remove the GradientBasedCorrections section (this has many sub-fields, most of which start with "Local"). Save the file and move on to the next.

  • Use Of Filter and Drill Down  By Option in Context Menu

    Hi,
We are  on  BI  7.0 patch 14.0
I have the Filter and Drill Down by option checked in the context menu Web item in WAD . However when I preview on the Web what happens is that the characteristic that I am using the filter and  drill down on shows up horizontally as opposed to in a column.
For eg: If I have the following data initially
    01/01/2007     250
    02/01/2007    500.
I keep my cursor on 01/01/2007 and do a filter and drill down by 0calqtr then what I see now is
    01/2007    02/2007 03/2007 04/2007
    instead of
    01/2007
    02/2007
    03/2007
    04/2007.
Each CalQtr will have a key figure Value beside it in the horizontal mode.
This happens only when I pick the characteristic on the Graph. On the Web Item Analysis it works fine. Has anyone faced this issue before. This worked fine when it was WAD 3.5. This affects the presentation of the graph. For Objects that have not been migrated the result still shows fine.

  • Color correction filter and keyframes

After lots of projects in FCE, I should know this!
I have a clip with a color correction filter and keyframes at either end of the clip.
Question: If I break the clip in two, am I correct that the color correction filter and keyframes are no longer shared by the two clips? Changes made to one clip's keyframes no longer effect the other clip's color correction settings?

    That's correct.

  • Using Filter and where clause in GoldenGate

    Hi,
I need to use where clause in extract process.
The condition i need to use is :- where (CODE LIKE '10%' OR CODE LIKE '0%')
how to use LIKE operation along with OR in extract.
I have multiple where conditions these are straight i.e = and <> which are working fine. But LIKE is not working.
Please do assist for the same.
    Thanks.

GoldenGate uses FILTER and SQLPREDICATE (and COMPUTE is a variation that can work, depending on how you are trying to manipulate the data).
To filter data, you can use:
    ● A FILTER or WHERE clause in a TABLE statement (Extract) or in a MAP statement (Replicat).
    ● A SQL query or procedure
    ● User exits
    FILTER comparison operators include:
    Comparison operators:
    > (greater than)
    >= (greater than or equal)
    < (less than)
    <= (less than or equal)
    = (equal)
    <> (not equal)
    WHERE clause permissible operators:
    Column names PRODUCT_AMT
    Numeric values -123, 5500.123
    Literal strings "AUTO", "Ca"
Built-in column tests @NULL, @PRESENT, @ABSENT (column is null, present or absent in the row). These tests are built into Oracle GoldenGate. See “Considerations for selecting rows with FILTER and WHERE” on page 155.
    Comparison operators =, <>, >, <, >=, <=
    Conjunctive operators AND, OR
Grouping parentheses Use open and close parentheses ( ) for logical grouping of multiple elements.
You could try using a GoldenGate string function. You know what the leading one or two characters (0 and 10) are.
Use the @STREXT function to extract a portion of a string and do a comparison there. Or take care of it using SQLEXEC on replicat (call a function to be able to use LIKE).
