Disck Space not enough during upgrade CUCM 9.1(2)SU1 to 9.1(2)SU2a

Hi,
I face an issues during upgrade my current CUCM 9.1(2)SU1 to 9.1(2)SU2a, it show with this error message "There is not enough disk space in the common partition to perform the upgrade, for steps to resolve this condition please refer to CUCM 9.1(1) release notes or view defect CSCuc63312 in bug toolkit on Cisco.com".  I had check the bug id and got 2 way to do it:-
1. reduce the amount of traces on the system, but I not ready want to do this
2. install a COP file name: ciscocm.free_common_space_v1.0.cop.sgn
If I select option 2, will it have any risk? Is it mean 9.1(2) - inactive version will be clear out from disk space or it will clear out 2 version - active and inactive version from disk space?
I need have some advice on this before I perform.
Thanks.

Hi,
As per the following link
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/9_1_1/CUCM_BK_R6F8DBD4_00_release-notes-for-cucm-91/CUCM_BK_R6F8DBD4_00_release-notes-for-cucm-91_chapter_011.html
You will not be able to switch to the previous version after the COP file is installed. For example, if you are upgrading from Cisco Unified Communications Manager 9.0(1) to Cisco Unified Communications Manager 9.1(1) and the previous version is Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.6, the COP file clears the space by removing the 8.6 version data that resides in the common partition. So after you apply the COP file, you will not be able to switch to the 8.6 version."
Additionally, regarding the first option, if you do not want to reduce the tracing levels you can still delete some old traces using RTMT which gives you an option of deleting the traces from the server as well as transferring / downloading them to your pc simultaneously by checking the 'delete from server' option on last page of log file collection option.

  • Space not enough in the transfer from view to fml

    I define that the view's count is 100 and the fml occurence is 100,but when
    when i use Fvstof32 to transfer from c structure to fml,the ferror report :NO
    SPACE ENOUGH
    When i increase the fml occurence ,that can solve this problem .
    How i use this to solve this problem without increase the fml occ?
    append:
    view 's header:
    struct INTVAL {
    /* View structure for intval information */
         long     mstime[100];          /* null=0 */
         long     smid[100];          /* null=0 */
         float     value[100];          /* null=0.001000 */
    fml 's header:
    /*     fname     fldid */
    #define     MSTIME     ((FLDID32)33554833)     /* number: 401     type: long */
    #define     SMID     ((FLDID32)33554834)     /* number: 402     type: long */
    #define     VALUE     ((FLDID32)100663699)     /* number: 403     type: float */

    I'm not sure what you mean when you say that you define the FML
    occurrences as 100. FML does not have a way to limit the number of
    occurrences.
    Are you referring to the occurrences in the Fneeded32 function? You will
    also need "Value" space for the data itself.
    Can you call Funused32 right after you tpalloc or Falloc the buffer, and
    see what it says? And if you're using Fneeded32, can you call it on its
    own, and see what it is returning?
    Since your field types are all numeric, they do not need to store field
    lengths. I'm assuming that you're on a 32 bit machine, so each of your
    data fields takes up 4 bytes. There are another 4 bytes per field for
    the Field ID. So you need 300*8 bytes just for the data. Then you need
    space for the header and the index. If your index interval is 16, you'll
    need around 20 entries.
    I would say that 4000 bytes should be adequate, as long as you don't
    plan on adding too many fields to the buffer.

  • CVERSEXPORT.OUT not found during upgrade

    Hi,
    In the extraction Phase of the upgrade (upgrade to NW7.01) we are getting the below error
    "SEVERE ERROR: File CVERSEXPORT.OUT not found or empty."
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Cs

    Hi,
    The problem seems to be an issue with your downloaded files for the upgrade .
    Please check you have downloaded all the export files for the upgrade succesfully . If not download
    again and repeat the field .
    Also mount the CD immediately after the Drive. Like H://Export .
    Make sure that the file path is not too lengthy .

  • FCP not available during upgrade

    It's been an interesting afternoon. It was necessary to replace my PowerPC G4 hard drive this afternoon before I could upgrade to FCS5, due to space limitations - I'm starting with a clean slate. The problem I'm having is that the installation options for FCS5 is marking FCP as 'skip' and has it greyed out. I assume that I don't have to have FCP4 installed to do the upgrade since I returned the original installation CD to Apple as part of the upgrade offer. As such, is there anyone who can offer some insight as to how I can get FCP installed? It would certainly be appreciated!

    I let the system bring in all the required updates prior to doing the FCS5 install. I was finally able to get in contact with Apple Tech Support last night and their guess is that since I updated the machine with faster processors, the installation was assuming that I didn't meet minimum requirements. For the record, I'm currently running dual 1.3GHz processors with 640M of RAM. Looking through the documentation, it appears that even if I didn't do the hardware upgrade I would have met the minimum requirements for at least the FCP5 application - Dual 500MHz processors and 512M of RAM. They have advanced my support request on to the next level. I would hate to think that my only options are to buy a new machine or to scrap FCP all together.
    I appreciate the response and depending on where my solution comes from, I will post the information back to the forum.

    Hi,
    We are uphrading our BW system from 3.5 to 7.0. During XPRA phase i.e installation of technical content, many query elements not activated with error message  'Java communication error'. They are not present in our current production system and may be delivered with new BI content. Can we ignore these objects at this stage. What actually happens in XPRA phase? Do our basis installing all business content objects?? We are not using java functionality now on our system.

  • Structure SI_BBSEG not found during upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6.0

    Hi
    We are upgradingour SAP system from 4.6c to ECC 6.0 and we are having an issue while generating the programs, error says '.INCLUDE SI_BBSEG ' not found. It seems like structure SI_BBSEG was not created by SAP'. How would i resolve this issue? i couldnt find any OSS note on this. Please advice.
    thank you,
    - A

    Anil
    SI_BBSEG  is Include structure of BBSEG & comes already included in it as std SAP. (u can see it in SE11 >> BBSEG)
    It does not exist till you want to enhance BBSEG & add your custom fields. Normally those fields will be added to Std SAP screens as custom enhancements . You can go to SE11 & double click; it will ask  Do you want to create ?
    What is the process you are following for moving Enhancements from 4.6 to ECC6 (user Exits, screen exits) ? If this SI_BBSEG exists in old system, then there must be std screen enhanced which uses the fields of this structure. There could be some programs too which are using this structure while creating FI Documents using std BAPI. recomended that these should move to ECC6 together.
    If you have not enhanced BBSEG in 4.6 then refer note : 590977

    2. By setting the data type from Stored to Dynamic Calc or Label Only, u will reducing the block size (if done in dense dimensions), and number of blocks (if done in sparse dimensions).
    3. Try to restructure ur database, in case of the database is suffering fragmentation.

  • "Not enough space" - on DB.open

    Hello,
    My application is using BDB 3.3.1.
    I’m running with the following Parameters:
    m_dbEnv.set_cachesize(0, 536870912, 0);
    m_dbEnv.set_verbose(Db.DB_VERB_CHKPOINT, true);
    m_dbEnv.set_verbose(Db.DB_VERB_RECOVERY, true);
    m_dbEnv.set_verbose(Db.DB_VERB_DEADLOCK, true);
    m_dbEnv.set_verbose(Db.DB_VERB_WAITSFOR, true);
    m_dbEnv.set_lk_detect(Db.DB_LOCK_DEFAULT);
    m_dbEnv.set_lk_max_lockers(4096);
    m_dbEnv.set_lk_max_locks(1000000);
    m_dbEnv.set_lk_max(1000000);
    m_dbEnv.set_tx_max(70);
    m_dbEnv.set_lg_regionmax(204800);
    But despite of the relatively large numbers of lockers and transactions, I’m getting :
    com.sleepycat.db.DbException: Not enough space: Not enough space
    On: com.sleepycat.db.Db._open(Native Method)
    I want to know from lack of what resource the “Not enough space” is thrown?
    Is it because of cachesize/ lockers/ locks/ lockObjects or may be something else.
    Some statistics: when the error happened the whole BDB size was 5284880 bytes
    While I’m running now with 5546186 bytes and no error occur.
    Please advice what can be done to find the problem?
    If it seems like a memory leak – please advice, on how it can be found.
    Thank you in Advance
    Shira

    Hi,
    The "Not enough space" error is corresponding to ENOMEM - 12, that's described here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/berkeley-db/faq/db_faq.html#8
    This error indicates that some resource has been exhausted. There are several ways to find out what is causing this error:
    1) Configure the Berkeley DB error stream, which can be done like this:
    dbenv->set_errfile(dbenv, stderr);
    If you don't have a database environment handle, you can call this on the database handle:
    db->set_errfile(db, stderr);
    With this, you should see a message explaining what resource has been exhausted.
    2) Run the db_stat utility:
    db_stat -e -h /path/to/databases
    Usually you can solve the problem by configuring the lock limits ( http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/lock/max.html ) -- they are often what runs out, or the cache size ( http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/am_conf/cachesize.html ).

  • IPad and iPhone "not enough available space" after upgrade to Aperture 3.1

    Hello
    I was syncing lots of images no problem through iTunes/Aperture to my iPhone and iPad. After upgrading Aperture to 3.1 both devices report "not enough space" during the sync and have substantially fewer albums and photos on them than before. What the **** has happened? Now the pictures seem to take up much more space.
    Anyone else finding this?
    Thanks
    Nico

    I get to this step in step 5 but I dont have the file/directory
    Double-click the "usbaapl" file. (This file will be called "usbaapl64" if you have a 64-bit version of Windows. If you don't see "usbaapl64" here, or if there is no Drivers folder, look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. instead).
    Where can I download the needed file? I think it is called usbaapl64

  • Issues with W10 upgrade on tablets (Switch 10 and W3) not having enough space on unit for upgrade.

    Link:   http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-windows_install/how-to-upgrade-tablets-and-devices-with-little/8010e04b-530e-4d57-aaf4-776be87af7df?auth=1  Tablets and other devices with little hard drive space can be upgraded to Windows 10.   We want to give everyone a great upgrade experience, so we are rolling out downloads in an organized way to manage the high demand.  As part of this rollout, if you purchased a new Windows 8.1 device with 32 GB or less of hard drive space, these devices will not see an upgrade notification until at least August 4th. If you don’t want to wait until then, you can choose to upgrade to Windows 10 using installation media from the Windows 10 media creation tool.  Once you are notified your download is ready, or begin installing Windows 10 from media, setup will first perform a compatibility check to see if you have enough disk space.  If you don’t, you’ll see the message, “Windows needs more space”, informing you how much space you need to have available and providing several options for installing Windows.  The fastest method is to free up the specified amount of disk space on the hard drive, either manually and/or by using Disk Cleanup.  Allow yourself a little extra space beyond what is specified so that required updates can install during setup.   If your device allows it, you will also have the option to install Windows by using an external drive.  We recommend using a USB drive for this option.  Keep in mind that laptops and tablets must be plugged into a power source during the upgrade.  If you only have one Micro-USB port, which you need to power the device, then you won’t be able to use USB storage, but you may use an SD card for this option on most systems. Some important points to remember if you choose to use an external storage drive for installing Windows 10:We recommend that the external drive is formatted in NTFS.  Drives that are formatted in FAT32 may run into errors due to FAT32 file size limitations.  To learn how to format in NTFS, click here.USB drives are preferred over SD cards because drivers for SD cards are not migrated if the device does not support Connected Standby.If you chose not to use an external drive, you may notice that you have very little free space after upgrading.  This is because your previous version of Windows is still on your hard disk.  If you do nothing, the old version of Windows will be deleted automatically in a month to free up the extra space.  You may choose not to wait and recover this space immediately, but if you do, you will not be able to use the “Go Back” feature to uninstall Windows 10 and return to your previous version.  To free up this additional space immediately: Open Settings, and then select System and then Storage.Select your system drive (normally the C: drive).Select Temporary files.Under Previous version of Windows, select Delete previous versions.

    Coqui13,
    Thanks for the post, we did create an article on our FAQ site about this as well. Not quite as much information as posted, but it's out there for everyone.

  • Need to upgrade OS, but not enough space on HD

    I just exported a ton of photos to an external hard drive, thinking that was the bulk of my files taking up space on my hard drive.  I need to upgrade to OS 10.6.3 (I have 10.5.8 right now), but when I try and install, it says there's not enough space.
    When I click on my hard drive, it says that there's a capacity of 74.21 GB with an available space of 3.28 GB.  How do I find out what files or applications are taking up the most space?  What are the most likely offenders?  I really thought cleaning up photos was going to fix the issue, but it didn't go up in free space at all!
    Thank you for your help!

    Download and use OmniDiskSweeper. It will tell you the files and folders that are using the most space.
    With only 3 GB of free space, your system is severely short of free space. Your free space should be at least 10 GB.
    Once you increase your free space and before you do any upgrade be sure to repair your disk. With the free space run so low there is every chances that the disk is now corrupt. Doing an upgrade with a corrupt disk is a sure way to have problems after the upgrade.
    Also it is necessary to backup before you do the upgrade.

  • I tried to upgrade my TomTom all on my iPhone 4S and it said 'not enough space' - go to settings. In settings it shows there's plenty of space. What next?

    I have tried to upgrade my TomTom app on my iPhone 4S and it failed saying 'Not enough spare space - manage your space in settings.' When I looked in Settings it shows there's plenty of spare space. The bloke at the Apple Store was baffled..... and said I needed an appt. at Apple. "Go and join the queue." When I got to the front of the queue another bloke said "There are no appointments available. You have to book one over there online...". When I went over there and tried to book one, it said "you can't book an appt until you've spoken to the Help Dept." And gave me a number. I phoned the help line and a machine said "We're all busy."
    Any ideas?

    Hi, When you download, a big app udate like Tom Tom The other Tom Tom maps will be still on iphone until new update is complete That i why you need a lot of space until old updates Delete. So you will need to delete Apps & photos to make space. How much Gig has your iphone 4 s got? Cheers Brian

  • Upgrade to 10.5 fails - Not enough diskspace in Common Partition - db_hist using most of the space

    Hi All,
    Tried upgrading our UCCX 9.0(2) SU1 HA deployment to 10.5(1) last night and it failed with the following message -
    There is not enough disk space in the common partition to perform the upgrade. Please use either the Platform Command Line Interface or the Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT) to free space on the common partition.
    RTMT reported the Common diskspace used as 94%. Using RTMT we set the LogPartitionHighWaterMarkExceeded to 55% and waited for diskspace to free up. No such luck.
    A little more investigation and it turns out there is a database called db_hist_dbs in the Common partition that is 33GB in size. This is the command and returned output we used to find this out -
    show diskusage common
    8.0K    /common/moh
    33G     /common/var-uccx/dbc/db_hist_dbs
    1.6G    /common/var-uccx/dbc/temp_uccx_dbs
    201M    /common/var-uccx/dbc/uccx_er_dbs
    1.6G    /common/var-uccx/dbc/uccx_ersb_dbs
    37G     /common/var-uccx/dbc
    37G     /common/var-uccx
    16M     /common/ontape_backup.gz
    8.0K    /common/cancel_upgrade
    Using this command - show uccx dbserver disk - we can see that the db_hist database file is actually 80% free! Output from the command here -
    SNO. DATABASE NAME      TOTAL SIZE (MB) USED SIZE (MB) FREE SIZE (MB) PERCENT FREE
     4    db_hist                            34508.6                 6836.9                  27671.7             80%
    Anyone have any ideas on how to shrink the file size of the database in question? Is it even possible? Or what are our options to get around this and perform the upgrade.
    Thanks in advance
    Jeff

    You may be running into this bug: CSCul18667
    Symptom:
    CUIC log purge does not clean up JMX folder. Upgrade may fail due to lack of space.
    "show status" command show's that logging is consuming 99% of space
    Workaround:
    Can delete by going to RTMT -> Trace & Log Central -> Remote Browse -> Nodes -> "specific node" -> UCCX -> Cisco Unified Intelligence Center Servicability Service -> jmx -> select all -> Delete
