Display problems when adding a document

Hi,
one of our customers is facing a strange problem. He runs SBO 8.8 PL18 on Windows Server 2008 R2, and the users work in SBO through Terminal Server. I will do my best to explain what happens.
When one adds a manual journal entry, the screen flickers the same number of times there are rows. Let me explain the flickering. Suppose you have 10 rows. When you click Update, the table that displays the rows is kind of refresh or repainted 10 times, then fields are empty ready for a new journal entry. The best way I can describe what one can see is that the table is rolled down as many times as there are rows. Unfortunately I have not been able to record the flickering.
This take some times, and users fell eyes fatigue because of the flickering. I have seen it on my own computer, so this problem does not relate to the computer used to work with SBO. I am told that it happens as well in A/P Invoices.
The only hint I have is that display problem does not takes place with a TS established on Server 2003.
Any hint at what this can be, has someone else seen this ?
Thanks

Hello,
If you are using Add-on then it will happed because programmer set keyword last focus in which cell and i think your programmer have code for some arthritic operation on grid then it will happen.
So discuss your programmer it will solve issue or give proper explanation for same.
It will defiantly through add-on .
for tesing pupose stop the add-on then try make new document.
Thanks

  • JTable sorting - problem when adding elements (complete code inside)

    Im writing this email with reference to a recent posting here but this time with the code example. (I apologize for the duplicated posting this time it will be with the code)
    Problem: when adding more elements to the JTable (sorted) the exception: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException is thrown.
    Example: If the elements in the table are 10 and then the user requests for 8 the table will produce the correct result. However, if the user will ask for 11 items (>10) the exception will be thrown.
    The program: The program below (compiles and running). A JTable is constructed with 3 items, when you click the button - the return result should be 4 items - this will generate the error, WHY?
    I would highly appreciate your thoughts why this is happening and most importantly how to fix it.
    Thanks a lot

    Most scan apps have a setting whereas, your scan(s) can go directly to your desktop.  No need to "hunt" for scanned docs.

  • Problem when adding ascx user control in the MasterPage: Parser Error Message: The referenced file ... is not allowed on this page.

    Hello,
    I have to maintain a SharePoint 2010 project, in which a TopNavigation User Control for SiteCollection is registered in the MasterPage in this way:
    <%@ Register TagPrefix="ABC" TagName="TopNavigation" src="~/_layouts/ABCApplication/MainSite/Navigation/TopNavigation.ascx" %>
    <asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="PlaceHolderTopNavBar" runat="server">
    <asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="PlaceHolderHorizontalNav" runat="server">
                                        <ABC:TopNavigation ID="TopNavi" XMLDataLocation="/_layouts/ABCApplicatopm/MainSite/TopNavigation.xml" IsRoot="true"
    runat="server" />
    </asp:ContentPlaceHolder>
    </asp:ContentPlaceHolder>
    When I deploy the SiteCollection, the TopNavigation user control is working correctly. Unfortunately when i modify the masterpage over SharePoint Designer, the following error message comes allways, regardless of the art of changes i did in the MAsterPage
    ( even if I open the MasterPage, add an space and do save/close the MasterPage).
    "Problem when adding user control in my custom master page, Parser Error Message: The referenced file '/_layouts/Navigation/TopNavigation.ascx' is not allowed on this page."
    Any ideas?

    Hi Simon,
     When we use UserControl in SharePoint Page or MasterPage, and the UserControl is kept in any folder other than ControlTemplates, we will got the error. Here is an article about this issue and provided the solution:
    http://sharepoint-tina.blogspot.com/2009/07/referenced-file-pathxyzascx-is-not.html
    The solution can also be used in SharePoint 2010.

  • Problem when dispalying Sales document header text.

    Hi All,
             I am facing problem when displaying header text of Sales document. my problem is that
    when we got to VA02 -> give sales document number  press enter
    once afer going inside that sales document -> Goto Header text  . In text tab, on left hand side we can find many text for whch corresponding text has written on Right hand side Text area.
    i want that text to be print on script.
    i tried even by pressing F1 but i could not find where that text stores in database.
    can any one please explain it how to dispaly the text that is written manually in  text area on Script.
    regards
    Prasadh.

    Hi,
    You must call function module 'READ_TEXT' with the following parameters:
    ID = The technical text id number (see table TTXID for OBJECT = 'VBBK' for a list of valid values)
    LANGUAGE = your local language
    NAME = sales document number (all 10 digits with any leading zeros)
    OBJECT = 'VBBK'
    You will need to call the function module once per text type id (the list on the left hand side in VA02, header texts screen).  The text from the right hand side will be in an internal table LINES after you call the 'READ_TEXT' function module.
    If you just want to print directly from VA02, then choose the details button which takes you to another screen with Print functionality.

  • Tree component display problem when text too long???

    hi all
    whenever i use a tree component to display some sort of text, i run into problems when the width of the text being display for a node is larger than the width of the tree component.
    Given: Tree tree1 with Node node1 and Child Node child1
    When the text of either node1 or child1 is longer than the width of tree1, the text is displayed on its own single line UNDERNEATH the node images. this makes the text look like it does not belong to the group of children of a given node.
    is there anyway to add maybe a text area or some sort of scrolling region to allow for any length of text for any node??
    thanks everyone!

    Yes, you can change the size of the tree node text field. Please see the "Tree Node Component Properties Window" section in the Help Contents within the IDE. Look at the info under the "Appearance" section.

  • Display problem when reading Traditional Chinese in Crystal Report 2008

    Hi All,
    I have tried to connect MS SQL 6.5 to build up a report. However, I encounter a problem when read Traditional Chinese. all chinese characters turn into adnormal characters. I wonder it is problem of SQL Server or some setting that I may not know. In addition, I can able to read chinese in the application program , ISQL / Query Analyzer. Please help to give idea and suggestion to fix this. Thanks
    SQL Server: MS SQL Server  6.5
    Client OS: Window XP ( Traditional Chinese Version)
    Server OS: Window NT and Window Server 2000
    Stsyou

    Hi
    If you are using a Chinese language build database, Crystal Reports English build might not display the characters properly as non english databases include one byte characters as ASCII code character and double-byte characters as their own language code character.
    Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese (Kanji, Hiranga, and Katakana), Korean and Vietnamese use double-byte characters.
    However, a possible workaround to this issue is to verify that the encoding on the database client is configured according to the examples below. Also, you will need to install the language pack in the English environment.
    CONFIGURATION EXAMPLES:
    Shift-JIS for a Japanese database
    Big5 for a Traditional Chinese database
    GB2312 for a Simplified Chinese database
    iso-2022-kr for a Korean database
    Windows 1258 for a Vietnamese database
    EXAMPLE SCENARIO:
    An Oracle database saves non-English language data such as Japanese.
    The Windows operating system is English.
    STEP TO CONFIGURE THE CHARACTER CODE IN THE ENVIRONMENT SETTING
    (This step is based on the details of the EXAMPLE SCENARIO.)
    1. Configure the system environment on the database client side to 'Shift-JIS' as the character code set in the Environment Setting.
    This results in the NLS_LANG variable set to Japanese_Japan.JA16SJIS under the registry HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Oracle\Homeo.
    STEPS TO INSTALL LANGUAGE PACK IN AN ENGLISH ENVIRONMENT
    (These steps are based on the details of the EXAMPLE SCENARIO.)
    1. Add languages to the computer system by clicking:
    Control Panel > Regional Options > General
    2. Select the check box for 'Traditional Chinese', 'Simplified Chinese', 'Japanese', 'Korean' or 'Vietnamese'.
    3. Click 'Apply'.
    4. When you are prompted, insert the Windows CD-ROM to install the language pack.
    5. Restart the computer.
    Upon completing these steps, you are able to display the languages characters in the Crystal Reports Designer in a Windows English environment.
    ==========
    NOTE:
    If the database table and field names use non-English language characters, Data Explorer in CR will not correctly display these names. However, when you preview the report, the non-English data displays correctly.
    ==========
    Configuring the database client according to the examples and installing the language pack will display the characters successfully. However, there are cases when this workaround does not resolve the issue.
    For further information about CR and double-byte languages, refer to knowledge base articles, c2008083 and c2008349.
    Hope this helps!!!

  • Problems when adding iTunes to iMovie project

    I recently recorded onto miniDV tape about 15 minutes of rare color film footage from 1938-40, courtesy of the University of Missouri archives. Using iMovie 6.0.1, I made about 15 clips, divided by subject and year and added some titles. I placed them into the clip viewer and previewed the movie. No problems when I previewed it. I also "unchecked" the ambient audio, because the film was silent and the only sound was the sound of the film projector picked up by the Sony TRV-30 digital camcorder. Via the Internet, I found the top songs of the those years and downloaded them from iTunes. I "clicked and dragged" the songs from iTunes into the sound track of the project. Here's where the problem arose. After I added the music, I previewed the movie. The music track played OK, but the video image was extremely "jerky;" in other words, it would appear to stop momentarily, then "jerk" to a start again. It appears that way through the entire project. Any ideas as to why it would be doing this?
    Also, I have another "mystery." The icon for the project is in the "movies" folder. The icon appears as a white "one-dimentional square" with "sideways Vs" a the top and a black star on a white field on the face of the icon. When I click on the icon, the project opens (clips etc.). In previous projects, there is a two-dimentional folder with a blue front and when you open it, there are other sub-folders in it (a "media" folder" and the .mov file etc). Why does my current movie only give me the option of opening the project, and does not show the media folder and .mov file? As always, your assistance is very much appreciated. This forum has been very helpful to me in the past. --Scooper

    Hi scooper,
    ... An answered the second part, I give a try to part one:
    * is the project located on your Mac's local drive or external?
    * is the iTunes library on the Mac's local drive or external?
    * is the "internet" (<<woohoo, bad kharma;-) ) music coded as aac, mp3 or aiff? or, something different, internet "standard", as ogg, wav, whatever?
    your Mac/iM tries to playback in realtime (sure, that makes sense with a movie...), but obviously has too much to do encoding the music...
    in case you own QTpro or a designated audio-app (Garageband, Audacity), try to convert the internet music (<<woohoo, bad kharma... ah, said that) BEFORE import to iM into aiff...
    in case of usage of external harddrives:
    make sure, the drive is "MacOsExtended" formatted, not FAT32... use Disk Utility to accomplish that (any reformatting erases all content!)
    pay the artists//respect local laws//get good kharma

  • Display problems when antialiasing is enabled

    I've written a Java app which uses a JPanel-derived class to render images and text in the paint() method.
    This works fine unless I've enabled antialiasing in my video card settings (GeForce FX 5200 w/128MB RAM, Windows XP), in which case nothing but a gray window appears. Disabling antialiasing in the video card settings fixes the problem. Multiple users with different video cards have reported the same problem (so its not something specific to my card and/or drivers).
    Is there something in my code I can do to ensure my app will properly render regardless of whether or not antialiasing is turned on on the user's machine?
    Note that I also tested with a simple frame containing a progress bar and saw the same issue, i.e. the Swing components themselves didn't properly render with antialiasing turned on.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    Thanks, that seems to be doing a bit better. I am still having a bit of trouble though, mainly, the TV seems to be flickering very slightly throughout. Strangely, I did not have this problem when using a composite connection. Is there a setting somewhere to make for a clearer picture? For example, when I run the external display calibration application, and it asks me to adjust the background so it is the same color as the apple logo in the picture, the apple logo is constantly flickering (changing color from white to gray to black or so very rapidly).
    Also, I am mainly using the TV connection to watch front row. How can I get front row to operate on the external display if I do not have them set to mirror each other?
    Thanks a lot,
    Will

  • Having problems when adding new Curency value field + currency field.

    I need to add a new Currency field (CURR, length 15, 2 decimal places) plus the Currency field itself to a view.
    I'm really struggerling. I have looked at the existing SAP fields in the Component workbench and I have to admit I can not see how a field is linked/related to the currency itself. Is this link established purlely at the disctionary level?.
    Has anyone added their own Z field value  and Z currency field before. I can create both fields and display them, but what I can not work out is how I related them within the component workbench, or is this done from the dictionary?.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    I should have been able to look at an existing SAP example and work out how it's done, but so far I can not see/determine how this is achieved, even though someone has mentioned that it's controlled via the GET_I_field method. Looking at this method I was expecting to see some mention of both the Currency value field and the Currency field. But as I don't see these confusion reigns.
    Jason

    That's correct, but am I right in thinking that you can't actually create the currency key field itself?.
    I am aware that currency value fields can be created which reference a currency key field, but can see nothing that allows me to create a currency key field to be referenced.
    I hope that makes sense.
    Also, I have amended the structure, changing my value fields from Decimal 15,2 to Currency 15,2  and have created a new currency key field in the structure and referenced this from the Currency value field.
    Witin the Component/view/context node I can see this new currency key field, but it appears as STRUCT.fieldlabel whereas my currency value field appears in the context node as EXT.fieldlabel, because it was created in the AET.
    My problem is that when attempting to add the currency key field onto the screen I don't have it to select from within the list of structures/attributes. All the others attributes in the context node seem to be there, except the new currency key field/attribute.
    The attribute has a SET_fieldlabel, GET_fieldlabel, GET_M_Fieldlabel and a GET_I_Fieldlabel, which I believe is all that should be required.
    Does anyone know what my problem could be?.

  • IDCS3 When adding a document to a book, the text frame of the subsequent documents in the book moves

    Hi
    I've been working on a 700 or so book containing about 115 documents. These book's documents consist of a main text frame and I've been adding them gradually to the book document. The problem is whenever I add a document to the book or change the order of the documents, the main text frame of the subsequent documents in the book moves on its x axis even when it is locked. To correct the problem I've been moving them to their original place manually but this is a real chaos. Moreover I've noticed that not every text frame in a document moves but most of them does. I don't know what is causing the problem so either don't know how to solve it. I would like to prevent this from happening again cause I've got to add more documents to the book. Can anybody help?

    Here is the deal:
    1. I got a new Macbook Aluminum (yesss!)
    2. I got a sweet 23" Samsung LCD display (2048 x 1152)
    3. I got a DVI to Mini Display Port adapter
    4. I hooked the two up
    5. At first couldn't get a resolution higher than 640 x 480
    6. Figured it out
    7. After the Macbook went to sleep I tried to wake it up using my BT keyboard
    8. Screen came up with static/noise and then flashed the desktop off and on
    9. Unplugged display, opened Macbook to wake it up
    10. Macbook won't wake up. Caps lock key lights up, but that is it.
    11. Force shutdown and reboot
    12. External display works again, until later when Macbook falls asleep
    13. Here we go again
    Yes I have downloaded the latest update. I have reset the PRAM, etc. with the help of an Apple support agent. So far, the problem remains.
    Does anyone have any ideas? Any solutions other than me having to drive me lazy butt over the hill and taking 3 hours out of my day to have a Apple Genius look at my Macbook?

    Don't bother bringing it to an Apple store and wasting your time. I'm pretty sure your problem is a known issue with the software and not hardware. I suggest you get a hold of Apple over the phone, make sure you talk to a "product expert" and not a general rep and I'm sure he'll clarify it with you.
