DLSW peer takes 20 min. to establish..Please Help !!!

I have configured a Cisco 7304 with DLSW and the remote peer is not a Cisco router. When the local peer in the Cisco is not configured as promiscuous, it takes about 20min to 1h30min for the peers to get connected.
If the local peer is configured as promiscous, it works good, but we dont want to use this configuration becasuse we want to control the connections on each router.
What can I do in order to solve this problem ?
Attached is the router configuration and the output of a "debug dlsw peers"

Hi,
based on the debug dlsw peer:

00:02:00: DLSw: END-TPFSM (peer 172.25.252.254(2065)): state:PCONN_WT->CONNECT
at this point the dlsw peer is in state CONNECTED
However you always get a tcp rst or fin right afterwards. Tcp tells dlsw to disconnect the peer.
This can have two potential sources.
The tcp stack on this router or the tcp stack on the remote router has closed the session.
00:02:00: DLSw: dlsw_tcpd_fini() for peer 172.25.252.254(2065)
00:02:00: DLSw: tcp fini closing connection for peer 172.25.252.254(2065)
00:02:00: DLSw: START-TPFSM (peer 172.25.252.254(2065)): event:ADMIN-CLOSE CONNECTION state:CONNECT
00:02:00: DLSw: dtp_action_b() close connection for peer 172.25.252.254(2065)
00:02:00: DLSw: END-TPFSM (peer 172.25.252.254(2065)): state:CONNECT->DISCONN
so the question really is where does the tcp rst come from? Who is closing the tcp connection?
This sequence repeats itself over and over again until it finally stays up.
You can do a
debug ip tcp driver
debug ip tcp transaction
this will show you if you get a disconnect or if this router is sending one. However you have to be a bit carefull with the debugging if you have a lot of tcp activity going on in this router.
Alternative is to take a sniffer trace on the WAN and find out who is sending the tcp reset/fin in that case.
thanks...

I have an ipad 2 and I noticed I have over 3000 emails in All Mail. I want to know how can I delete these emails. It looks like you can only do it one at a time. It will take me forever. Please help me.

You can only delete them one at a time on the iPad. If you have an IMAP email account, go to your email in on the server using a web browser and select as many as you can at a time and delete them that way. That action will be reflected on the iPad. In IMAP - whatever you do on one device syncs across all devices. If you have POP email - start deleting one at a time.

  • Heres the deal my cuzin stold my ipods charger(the one to download music and charge in a usb port)well i found it in her room and she says its hers (but its not!) is thier a way to prove that the charger is mine ?? please help me find a way to prove it!

like i said my cusin stold my charger and says its hers when i know its mine but is thier a way i can prove it to her? please help:( my ipod is dead ever scence and i want it back!

i thought about going the same route you did, but when I started looking at the prices of everything, I decided it was a better idea to just get a new stereo that can play and charge my iPhone.
After a lot of comparing, looking and price checking, I decided to go with the Alpine IDA-X100. This is a media player only device (no cd player built in) and it has been great. It has an awesome interface and dial setup that let's you go through your music just as if it were on an iPod. It even has a small color screen that displays the album artwork for you. My car has a factory BOSE system in it and the Alpine head unit even managed to improve the sound quality. Go see you local alpine dealer (or best buy) and check it out. The supplied cable charges the phone and plays music too. Your iPhone will give you an error message when you plug it in, saying that the accessory was not designed for iPhone, but if you just click no it works great.

This one DMP file was inconclusive please run driver verifier to find the underlying cause
Please run these tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.
If you are overclocking (pushing the components beyond their design) you should revert to default at least until the crashing is solved. If you don't
know what it is you probably are not overclocking.
Since it is more likely to be a driver please run verifier first.

  • Inactive memory takes all the memory - please help

I have a Macbook Pro - August 2009, upgraded version to 2.66 MHZ, advance display card, Dual core.
I recently upgraded the RAM to 8GB (Kingston) to clear more memory for my massive application use, the thing is it didn't solve anything because the issue I had problems with - Inactive Memory, wasn't resolved.
Inactive memory supposed to hold the memory for the apps you closed in case you'll run them once again, but it NEVER clears the memory, I can see the "blue" color taking all the free mem and the computer slows down! no free mem what so ever.
Now the Inactive mem grows enormously and gets to be more than 4GB, it has the same effect, the memory runs out!
Is there a way to fix it? I'm going crazy with that.. what a terrible design!
iFreeMem doesn't work on the 8GB, I'm at a loss..
    Please help!
    Thanks,
    Eli.

Sounds like you have never done a PRAM reset or a SMC reset. Do both and see if this helps:
    _SMC RESET_
    • Shut down the computer.
    • Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
    • On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
    • Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
    • Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    _PRAM RESET_
    • Shut down the computer.
    • Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    • Turn on the computer.
    • Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
    • Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    • Release the keys.

  • Itunes Takes Ages to Load - Please Help!

I am having a nightmare with Itunes which is taking about 30 minutes - 1 hour to load. I have Windows 7.
Itunes does appear in the processes tab of the Task Manager - so it is there. Low load on the CPU and limited memory - so the PC isn't working hard.
I have tried lots of the proposed solutions on here.
    1. Tried creating a new account - same problem, so assume it is a system wide issue
    2. Did complete uninstall and reinstall of all Apple software. Same
    3. Opened as an administrator. Same
    4. Uninstalled all plug ins. I did have Last.fm as a plug in but have uninstalled that now
    5. I ran msconfig as suggested and turned off all other startup software to look for conflicts. No change
    6. I looked to see if there were any conflicting Winsocks (with no idea of what a winsock is). Couldn't see anything
    7. I started Itunes in safe mode. Same
    I am really stuck here.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!
    Daniel

    Small update...
WHen Itunes did eventually load... a few odd things happened.
    1. The icons on my toolbar flicked to white / blank and then came back
    2. Windows Update sprang into life and asked me to install 1 important update
    3. I got an error message
The software required for communicating with iPods and mobile phones was not installed correctly. Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you?
    5. I clicked Yes...
    6. It said it was checking my itunes library
    7. I got a message The Bonjour service has been disabled. Bonjour is required to share music with others. Please re-enable the service to use this feature
    8. This didn't seem to bad so clicked OK
    9. BUt then Itunes disappeared again. It is still running in processes but isn't open.
    Gah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anaphormic 16:9 for mini DV ? please Help !!!

Hello, I´m so confuse, I have a Panasonic mini DVPal 3CCD, I made the footage 16:9, I did the capture with FCP, settings CCIR 601/DVPal (5:4), DVPal 16:9, and plus Anaphormic 16:9, but then when I convert to QT, that come back to 4:3. I was reading that this option Anaphormic 16:9 is only when you have a HDV camera, so because of that I´m having this 4:3 problem ??. I really need my film for a good quality, festivals and so on...What I have to do ???,,the best way???,,
    thanks so much, Leprina

What do you mean by it comes back 4:3? Are you seeing an image that is stretched vertically to fit the 4:3 frame? That is what you should get. All SD cameras record a 4:3 frame. When shooting in 16:9 they stretch the image vertically to take full advantage of all the pixels on the CCDs. It is then left to your display (Final Cut viewer or canvas/monitors/tv/projector, whatever) to reshape the image for correct display (stretch it horizontally/squeeze it vertically, however you want to put it. This way preserves the maximum potential resolution available in sd. QuickTime player however will always display footage in its raw format. This applies to the captured files as well as the exported sequences. If you open one of your captured files (which presumably play 16:9 in Final Cut) with QuickTime you'll see it as 4:3. This is correctly showing exactly what the camera shot. If you want to export a quicktime that displays 16:9 then you need to use 'export with quicktime conversion' and set the approriate settings there.
How are you going to display this material? If it's from a dvd then the workflow you describe is correct, as long as you continue to apply the correct anamorphic settings throughout the process. The dvd player will then squeeze/stretch the image to display correctly, just like all the dvds you buy in the shops. If you're planning on playing from QT files then it depends whether your projector has an aspect ratio switch. If it does then the best quality option would be to export a raw 4:3 QT and let the projector optically adjust the image.

  • I want "non HP printer cartridge" pop ups to go away on my Mac Mini computer. Please help

When my son is streaming Netflix, "non HP Printer cartridge" pop ups cover the screen like a virus has taken over.
No matter if I close them out or hit OK, they just sit there and I have to drag them over to the right lower corner and they will not be trashed.  I have an HP  Photosmart 6520 that is connected wirelessly. HP phone tech support told me that because it is a non HP cartridge (refill) , that happens to work better and longer than the original HP cartridges, they cannot help me get the pop ups to go away.  Funny thing is that the printer has always worked well with these cartridges, and these pop ups just started appearing after I upgraded my Mac to the latest update.  HP tech support told me to turn the wireless "Off" on the printer and said maybe that would help.  Solutions???     Joseph

    Hello heyjophi,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with a "non HP Printer cartridge" pop up on the screen.
This pop up will more than likely keep happening as long as you are using cartridges that are refilled.  The cartridge has a chip that lets the printer know how long it has been in the printer and it causes a popup on the computer screen. The only other way to get rid of this, other than using Genuine HP ink cartridges, is to uninstall the software from the Mac.
I do apologize for the inconvenience on this matter.
    Thanks for your time.

  • OS X Leopard installation hangs with about 24 mins left! Please help!

I was prepping my iMac (Intel) for resale, so after backing up my data, I booted up with the Mac OS X Installation Disc (1 of 2). Before proceeding with the installation I went to Disk Utilities and ran a 7-pass erase of my HD. After erasure was complete I started the install and it froze with "About 24 minutes" remaining time in the screen, when I moved the mouse about I got the "spinning beach ball" for a while. Nothing happpens. It has been stuck like that for about 3 hours now.
What are my options? Any help would be most appreciated!

Make sure the install disk is very clean. My iMac is very picky, smudges and scratches are fatal to a good read. Do these resets as well:
As old as your iMac is, have you cleaned out the dust? Dust buildup can lead to over heating issues. Remove any and all things plugged into it including the power cord, Remove the RAM access grille. Vacuum all openings starting with the RAM access area (air intake). Vacuum all ports and plugs, DVD slot and the opening across the top of the rear of the body. Blow compressed air through all your openings and vacuum again to remove any dust you loosend. Reinstall the RAM grille. Plug in the keyboard and mouse if not blue tooth. Insert power cord...
You are now in a perfect position to do a
    SMC RESET
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
    Wait 15 seconds.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
It is the 5 second timing that initiates the reset.
    PRAM RESET
    Zap the PRAM
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.

  • Cannot get Ipad MINI to work PLEASE HELP BADLY

    So basically.
Mail and Safari would open and close automatticly so I went to do a back up restore from YESTERDAY.
    No difference.
So I do a factory reset but I can't. WHY NOT? Because the 2 cords I have now do NOT WORK AFTER THE RESTORATION.
They don't work in the charger either and I have barley ANY battery health left.
So I look up what else to do?
Use the stupid find my iphone app to wipe it and I did.
IT is stuck at the spinning wheel forever, I even reset it and did it again and it has been going for liek 30 minutes at the spinning wheel and last  time I looked at it like an hour ago it had 16% health left. It IS plugged in just in case some miracle happens but yeah.
    Ipad 7.4
No "Go to a Apple store"

If your device is restored with iTunes and it still couldn't, try to restore on another computer. If that doesn't work, then your iPad most definitely will need service. Reinstall iTunes on your computer and see if that helps. If you are doing Erase all Contents and Settings (same thing as erasing on iCloud) and are stuck on the spinning wheel, it is a side effect of jailbroken.  So is Safari and Mail crashing on startup. Anyways if you aren't Jailbroken and I was wrong, then I apologize. Try to buy another another cable or borrow a friends. If your computer does not restore still, then try another computer. If that computer does not work, then most likely your iPad will need service.

  • Download takes hours!! Please Help.

I am trying to download a television series, each show is about 40 min long. I purchased the series from itune store. Now each episode is showing it is taking up to 40 hours to download. There are almost 30 episodes. Thats almost 2 months to download a television series. I was hoping to have it on my ipod for plane flight tomorrow. I am using wireless cable connection all links are good. I even tried different networks and still same result.

Try connecting directly to the modem (not wirelessly). There could be a hiccup in the way the network was setup. You could also try unplugging and repluggin in the router/modem if wired is not an option.

  • There are colors on the screen when I try to take a picture. Please help.

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm in the right community but when I try to take a picture I look at the screen and it has a white line going through the top part of the screen. There are white spots all over the lens. There is blue and red parts in the camera. When you move the phone the colors move around. The camera is very blurry and is not focusing.

Sounds like software - Hope you have a recent back up already as with this issue do not really want to make a back up of the device now.
Will want to restore the iPhone and after restore 1st set up as New and test the camera after setting up as new.
If good then can try to restore from a back up. If still good, good. If notice same thing with camera after restoreing from a back up when that back up is no good, will have to erase all content and settings and continue with set up as new.
    Good luck!
