Hi,
Any setting can be achieved by means of authorizations provided to roles.
your scenario,
Scenario E.g:
Until i release the document it should not viewed by production people...
to achieve this,
add authorization object :  C_DRAW_TCS to roles and assign this role to required users.
activity : activity you need (for ex: display, to have only display access)
document type : select the required doc type/s
document status : select the status (for ex: released) after which the authorized person will have access.

    Please give me possible reasons for below error while billing document releasing to accounting.
    "Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product "500258045"
    Message no. KE350
    Diagnosis
    In Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), the system tried to valuate a line item using the current standard cost estimate.
    In order to determine the current plan period, the system needs to read the valuation segment of the material master.
    The system has found that the current plan period is not filled forproduct "BDE98561002" in plant "9856".
    Display material (View: Costing)
    The system looked for the material cost estimate using costing key "ZK1", as defined in the Customizing settings for CO-PA.
    System Response
    The document cannot be processed.
    Procedure
    Contact your system administrator".
    I have checked CKR1 transaction there were no cost estimates with KF costing status.
    NOTE: Material Ledger Activated.
    Please suggest the possible reasons and what to check?

    Check the cost estimate that is mentioned against the Costing key ZK1 whether it exists in the system and as you are saying there seems to be no cost estimate for the said material.
    Hence release the std cost estimate for the said materia using CK11n or CK40n

  • Cost Estimate error is coming at the time of billing document release

    Dear All,
    Hi, I am facing one problem that is whenever i am releasing the billing document system gives the error message.
    Error : No standard cost estimate found for this material 164001001.
    Here problem is some finished products we have a cost run and other finished materials we don't have a cost run. Other finished materials billing document release time we are facing the above error. There is no costing run for other finished materials. Here we have a CO-PA.
    I have mainatined the costing key settings(ke40) in co-pa. In Ke40 t.code i have maintained the below settings.
    1. I have selected transfer standard cost estimate radio button under determine material cost estimate.
    2. Costing variant is 1010( This is our varaint)
    3.Costing version is 01
    4. Period indicator : Current standard cost estimate account to entry in material master.
    I have maintained the above settings in ke40 t.code. Please suggest if any thing is wrong on above settings.
    And also i have maintained costing key to material type assignments in ke4j t.code.
    Here i maintained the three point of valuation (PV), One is real valuation, second is manual planning, third is automatic planning.
    here i have assigned material type (fert) to costing key in costing key1 filed.
    Please suggest if any thing wrong in the above settings. Still i am facing the same error at the time of billing document releasing time. Anybody please help to me. It is a very urgent to me.

    Hi,
    This is a common error when COPA is activated and when the Costing Key is assigned according to the Material type in KE4J.
    When you need Cost estimation for few FGs and dont require for other FG, then you list out the materials for which you require SCE and then assign these list of materials to the costing key in KE4H(Costing key for Products) leaving out those which dont require.
    But detail the requirement further to facilitate the solution.

  • Document release strategy

    Dear Gurus,
    The question is regarding purchasing documents release procedure.
    According to workflow setup(SWDD T-code), the required document flow finishes when CONFIRMATION sent after document is released, thus if I've issued output from the released document further cancellation of release is not possible. Could you please advice whether this option can be turned off? And where I can define output type for this Confirmation?
    e.g. my requirements- to be able to release/cancel release for purch docs without any additional checks

    The way to achieve this requirement is to create a custom field in the PO header that signifies that the PO has been changed.
    It should be populated with a value say - X when a change is done and presence of this X should trigger release strategy. So you will need only this field in the characterisitcs and through user exit populate this field with X when PO was created and once released, make it blank. Then when changed repopulate with X
    In this way you can ensure that any change to PO will trigger the release strategy

  • Message processing after document release

    Is there a way by which we can send a IDOC or any kind of message to external system when a document is released in GTS manually? I tried to search the blogs and it looks like no pointers on this. Any help appreciated.

    Hi Vijay,
    There's nothing standard, but you could use BAdI /SAPSLL/CUHD_RELEASE to add your own code.  The Method R3_DOCUMENT_RELEASE is called for each document released by the manual "re-check" in GTS.

  • Single document release - License type

    Dear all,
    We are facing an issue, when rechecking the old import documents which are assigned with License (Created with license type - single document release) are getting legal control block now. The license is not getting recognized for the document.
    Before rechecking, the documents were not under any legal control block and the licenses (Single document release - license type) were recognized. What would be the reason behind this? What are the settings to be done specific to single document release- license types?
    Kindly share your comments.

    Hi Balu,
    It also depends on what option was selected when you had manually assigned the licenses to the documents in the past. If it had been B1 System, Manually changed, Cannot be changed by system. This wouldn't have happened.
    Now as Aman said, you will have to reassign the licenses to those documents.
    I personally feel there is a drawback for Purchase orders in terms of recheck.
    Basically a document becomes not valid for re-check or re-determination based on following criteria
    1) If its a sales order item- As soon as the order is delivered, the sales order becomes not relevant for check. Which makes sense as the subsequent document is generated. If you check the log, it would say Items not relevant for check.
    2) If its an outbound delivery item- As soon as the delivery is PGI'd, it becomes not relevant for check.
    3) But for Purchase order- The criteria is set as deletion indicator- Which means, a PO item is relevant for re-check in GTS unless and until it is deleted. Even  if a delivery is generated for a STO line item, the PO item is considered as relevant for re-check. This had bitten me in the past.
    If you don't remember the manual assignment option selected. Can you check the control settings for Legal control- your legal regulation and see what's set for Manual assignment default. If it's not B1, you may consider changing it.

  • Billing Document Releasing Problem with COPA

    Hi,
    While releasing the billing document,it is not releasing to accounting and giving the below error log.
    Error Message number -KE/AD713
    Note:
    In the below error log it is saying that to activate the +/- sign in KE4I.But for some billing documents it didnot give any error like below.Why it is asking only for this billing document? Kindly help me.
    Diagnosis
        When condition "ZSCM" (application "V") was transferred to the value field "VV139" in operating concern "AFCO" in Profitability Analysis, the following became apparent:
    1.The condition can take both positive and negative   values
    2.The flag "Transfer values with +/- signs" has not be set in Customizing for value field assignment.
        Inconsistencies in the data could occur as a consequence.
    System Response
        It is not possible to post the document in Profitability Analysis.
    Procedure
        Set the flag "Transfer values with +/- signs" for the condition "ZSCM".
        You should set the flag "Transfer values with +/- signs"  selectively for individual conditions if:
    1.  The conditions can take both negative and positive values (for example, in the case of conditions that describe a transfer price surcharge or a loss deduction).
    2.  The conditions appear several times in a billing document and thus cause a debit posting as well as a credit posting (this is the case, for example, when creating or cancelling reserves).
    By activating the flag "Transfer values with +/- signs", you balance the positive and negative values in a
    condition. You can thereby guarantee that the sum of the negative and positive condition values is displayed as the correct total value in the value field assigned to the condition.
    Caution when in the production system!
        If you have already used condition "ZSCM" to post data in the production system, then the sign in
        Profitability Analysis may differ from the previous sign as a result of the flag "Transfer values with +/-
        signs" having been activated. See the F1 Help documentation on the field "Transfer values with +/-
        signs" or the OSS note 52849. If deviating signs occur, it makes sense to move condition "ZSCM" to a new value field! Contact your system adviser or SAP.

    The answer resides within your question itself.
    Where you have assigned your condition type in log i.e., ZSCM, make sure that you have ticked +/- tick
    IMG ==> Profitability Analysis ==> Flows of Actual Values ==> Transfer of Incoming Sales Orders
    Assign Value Fields
    Where you will find +/- check box. Make sure that you have checked the same.
    Note: That the indicator transfer +/- is not used to compare the different use of plus or minus signs between FI or SD and CO-PA. If you activate the indicator, only the positive and negative values for the condition in question will be balanced. This guarantees that the sum of the negative and positive condition values are displayed as a correct total value in the value field assigned to that condition.
    Tip: In order to perform transfer conditions from the billing documents the same definitions must be established for the vlaue fields in Profitability Analysis and both pricing and condition types must be defined in SD.
    Please also read SAP note 52849 in this regard.

    There is not much difference between the user guides of 4.6 and 5.0.
    The documents for 5.0 will be released soon as soon as the 4.6 reaches end of support

    I am using F-67 for customer credit memo parking my requirment is if I post below 500/- SAR the document should not lock and the accountant can release the document through FBV0 t-code and if the accountant post above 500/-SAR than the document should lock and accountant cant able to release above 500/-SAR document through FBVO it must be released by the Finanace Director.Release Approval Level
    Can we write a Validation Rule for the Above Requiremrnt if possible than tell me how

    You can create the FI tolerence groups for users (Tcode OBA4) and assign these group to the users (Tcode OB57) you can control the postings.
    Support Accountant can post below SAR 500 create one group
    Director can post above SAR 500 create another group
    Assign these group against each employee so based on these you can control the posting limits.

  • Status of Document (Release) not available

    "Release Status" is not available in the document which is created/changed using CV01N/CV02N transactions.
    I have the below customising settings for the document type.

    Hi Ravi,
    If you have a predecessor status for 'Released' status, then this status will appear only if you reach the predecessor status in the DIR.
    If you are using standard 'DRW' document type, then PR-Checked & AR-Archived are the predecessor statuses for 'Released'.
    Check the status graphics on the top right of the second screenshot for details on the status flow.

  • Message no. 06689 after document release and output

    We have received the following message on a released purchasing document:
    Purchasing document already outputted (release will not be changed)  Message no. 06689
    The scenario was that a purchasing document, which has already been released through standard release strategy, was then printed.  The document was then changed, increasing the value by more than 10%, which should have re-triggered the release procedure. 
    Instead, the above message was posted.
    We may have changes to documents after release after printing.  What do we need to do to accomplish this?

    Message you are getting as Release Indicator* set for PO for designing of Release Procedure of PO.
    For your requirement you can use user exit or check to modify standard function module.
    *NOTE:The Release Indicator are:
    1-->Cannot be changed
    2-->Changeable, no new determination of strategy
    3-->Changeable, new release in case of new strategy
    4-->Changeable, new release in case of new strat. or val. change
    5-->Changeable, new release if new strategy/outputted
    6-->Changeable, new rel. if new strat. or value change/outputted

  • Parked document release intrupted

    Hi
    I have a process change in my AP park document workflow.
    The issue is:
    The client need to exit the workflow in case of an approver rejects( Iam using FIPP - Release method). Later point of time the approver will manually approve the invoice and the workflow should start from the next level approver. Is it possible to do?
    Is there any transaction to manually approve the parked invoice. Because if i goto FV63 it dosent show those option.
    Can anyone help me on this please.

    Hi,
    This can be done by desgning a seperate workflow and calling it as a subworkflow in your main workflow or create additional steps in your main workflow. For this you need to use another event which triggers only when document is manually released. Create a event parameter for both the events that you are using in your workflow  and pass some value to this event parameter only for either of the events.
    Bind it to the corresponding workflow container. Check that container in a check condition step for the value passed. Say you are passing this value to the event when document is manually released then in that case if the condition is true, call the subworkflow or additional steps in your workflow. In case if the container is blank, call the main workflow.
    I hope you are getting what i mean to say.

    Can we restrict user to link the DIR before it is released?
    I mean user should not be able to link document to any of the sap object until it is having released status.

    I think the above method can be used to restrict user to create object link.
    i would like to know weather it is possible to configure such that
    user must at least enter one object link.if object link is not entered the system should not, allow the user to save DIR.

    I am trying to raise a credit note for a sales return order. after saving the document when i go to change mode and try to release the document for accounting,
    The system gives an error message as the document is being processed. Due to this activity other entry are also getting held up.I am unable to post next invoice also.

      when u release the document  it is for save but not complete so  u can check account determination ,
    revenue account determination is complete r not , so go to vf02  clik on environment tab , and select account determination   analysis, and select revenue account, plese check ur account determination,
    so u can check in tables also , vbrk, vbrp , tables for status ,

    I want the release strategy of  PO/ Contract/ Sch. Aggr. to be cancelled at every change i make to the document and not only the value.
