Download to word works but cant edit word doc

Hi. I have just bought adobe export pdf. I have exported a questionnaire in pdf and it has converted it into word very nicely. When I come to input the data onto the form non of the lines line up and questions dissapear if you move the starting point of the answer. can anyone advise?

I don't know what version of Word that is, it may be very old indeed.
Apparently, the basic compatibility is
DOC files - Word 97 onwards
DOCX files - Word 2007 onwards (add on for Word 2003 available)

I have already tried removing firefox from my firewall. Even when I do that, my firewall doesn't detect firefox and prompt me to add it. And when I manually add it, it still doesn't work anyways. I've already tried the link as well, but it has been unhelpful. :/

Have you tried dragging it onto your Pages icon?
Is it by any chance passworded?
It helps if you give some details:
eg What version of Pages you are using?
Can you just open Pages on its own?
The file extension and origin of the word doc
What message does the computer pop up when it fails to open?
Otherwise it is all just guesswork.

How do I download a word doc off the internet and still be able to edit it in Pages?

I am really stuck. I have some stuff on Skydrive that downloads as a docx but then I cannot open it in Pages. And if I download it as a pdf in Preview I still can't edit it. Can someone please help?

What version of Pages? What version of OS X?
I ask because I just now located a 'random' .docx document that had arrived as an email attachment, and opened it with no difficulty in Pages '09 v4.3 (1048), running in OS X v10.8.4. I did get some (expected) warnings, all having to do with fonts used in the document that are not available on my machine.

Download and install Skype,BUT cant hear anyoner and everything seems to be working OK,just my end I cant hear anyone

I have had Skype installed along with Firefox.Both were and I believe receint ones.
I have tried to activate Skype,BUT I am unable to hear anyone that is speaking to me.
I have checked all the Sype activators and they all seem to work I can see the mic working,I can see the speaker working,BUT nothing is coming out of the speaker.
I am using Windows 7 with the latest Mozilla.
I have checked all the plug ins and they all look ok,so my question is,why wont the system work and what have I done wrong.
I am now stumped and do hope that some one can assist me.

Go to a computer store that has a tech department. Tell them the above.
They will tell you it is the speaker. A hardware problem. Not software.

Library works, but cannot edit or magnify

I installed iPhoto '08 over iPhoto '06, then upgraded to 7.0.2. Everything (events, keywords, search, thumbnails) works except viewing/editing my photos full size. With both 7.0.0 and 7.0.2, double click to magnify does nothing. If I try to edit, the thumbnails show up along the top but the space below is empty. Same for editing in separating window and fullscreen mode. If I do "show file" on a picture, I can open it in Preview just fine. This happens for all the photos in my library of about 5000. I have the latest iPhoto, Quicktime, and Mac OS X updates.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Try rebuilding the database. Hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys and launch iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.

Says i downloaded OS X Mavericks but cant install it

So i downloaded os x mavericks but something went wrong so i turned off my computer. i come back the next day to download it again but it wouldnt let me. then when i pressed the free upgrade icon in the app store it pops up as install but when i press it. it doesnt do anything. im really not even sure if i downloaded it to be honest but in my app store purchases it says i downloaded it. please help thanks

How the download folios bundle work with Professional Edition?

Hello everyone,
I have been trying to get information about some specific questions without luck.
This is the scenario:
We need to develop a newsletter for a company using the Apple Enterprise membership. First wave will be iOS devices only. Second wave will include Android devices. The newsletter will have around 4 issues per year.
1) Using montlhy membership, are the folio downloads accumulative? Newsletter1, Newsletter2 will give us 500 downloads for the first year? And after that, purchasing the 10,000 will distribute the downloads between all of the folios we have published? The number of available downloads are assigned to the user profile instead of individual apps?
2) Does the folio downloads expire?
3) If we are not using iTunes to distribute the newsletter, how do we keep track of the downloads? Does this happen in the application when installed? And this opens the question if we really need the download fee if we are not using iTunes?
4) If using the Creative Cloud (which only works with iOS devices) will gives us unlimited downloads, right? Does this type of folio work with the Apple enterprise membership?
5) If we create the first wave using the Creative Cloud service, and later we get the Professional Edition, can we "transfer" folio information from the CC to the new Service?
I already called:
877-792-3623 as published on the professional's edition page (they say only can help with Enterpise) and sent me to 1800-443-8158 (Volume Licensing) which didn't know the answers.
I'm trying this way because it was kind of frustrating trying to find the answers by phone.
Please, any help would be great.

1) I'm not sure what you mean by "accumulative". See http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-publishing-suite-pro/buying-guide-pricing.html for the included downloads. If you buy monthly then you get 250 downloads per month, and only one month worth will carry forward. If you buy the annual version you get 5,000 downloads, but again, those do not roll over to your next year of service. Folio bundles apply across all publications in your account, not to an individual application.
2) The ones included in your monthly or annual subscription expire at the end of each month or year. A folio bundle purchase expires one year after the date of purchase.
3) For calculating download bundle consumption that's all done by the application itself, not iTunes. The DPS dashboard at http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/ will show you the download counts for your publications.
4) Creative Cloud only gives you access to building Single Edition applications. That's a complete, self-contained, application with your content inside. There is no ability to download additional content into the application, and therefore no download charges and no "unlimited" downloads. It's just a single, self-contained, application in the app store.
5) If you start with a Single Edition application and then want to switch to a multi-issue application you'll need to make a new multi-issue application with App Builder and submit it to iTunes as an update to your existing application. Your existing content used to build the SE application can easily be re-published (if necessary) so it shows up in the new multi-issue application. Your readers will see an app update available, download it, and then have the multi-issue experience inside the app. If you are charging for the newsletters it will be problematic granting previous purchasers of your Single Edition application rights to the same content in the multi-issue application.

Apple id works but cant update apps

I am quite new here and just registered, but have been a lurker several times whenever I come across a problem.
But I have a really unusual problem. When I try to update any of my apps, I get the message "apple ID is disabled". But when I log on using my apple ID, whether via iTunes or on the apple website, everything seems to work. I was even able to change my password on one occasion and update my billing details in another.
I read somewhere here to try to reset "all warnings for buying and downloading" in my account via iTunes, but it still did not work.
So I called customer service, and the rep could not figure out my problem. He was telling me that my apple ID was not disabled and had no issues or problems. He told me that maybe my apps were downloaded using another apple ID, but I informed him that this was not the case. This is when the call ended, the poor guy could not help me, much less understand what I was saying.
As a backgrounder, my apple ID had several unauthorized purchases over a year ago. When I informed apple about this, they immediately reversed the charges and I in turn changed my billing info. My apple ID was temporarily disabled but after everything was settled it was working again. But I did not have an apple device for the last 10 months so my apple id was idle.
When I got an ipad this week and restored from my last back up, this was what happened.
I am hoping someone can help me figure this out.

After logging out and back in are you able to download new apps, either on your computer's iTunes or iPad e.g. if you select a free app in the store then can you download it ? If not then iTunes Support may have done something to your account when you had the unauthorised charges - when you spoke to 'customer service' (do you mean iTunes Support ?) were they aware of that ?

Is there any "simple" documentation on the steps to download and install Photoshop and Premiere Elements V13? The downloads seems to work but there's nothing clear on what do you do next.

I've been messing with computers since 1958 and I've never seen such a mess as trying to download and install the recently purchased copies of Photoshop and Premiere Elements Version 13. Slow downloads? Sure, but I can live with that. But once downloaded, what next? Look for a xxx.exe file somewhere in the pile? Read the "ReadMe" file? All I seem to get is unzipping some files with nothing leading me into the proper steps. I can't even seem to get off the ground. Everything I touch unzips and just lies there. I hate to think I've gone dumb after all of these years, but "user friendly" this is not. My "Your order confirmation" sheet gives me "Follow the instructions below to start using it today" and the first three steps work as you'd expect. Step 4 states "After you have completed the download process, your serial number will be displayed in the download center." Step 5 is "You can log back into 'Adobe Account Management' in the future to re-download your product or retrieve your serial number. ...." I have no problem with my serial number but there seems to be a lot missing between Steps 4 and 5. It would be nice to have this information as pretty standard "stuff. Computers are supposed to do super stuff without a lot of time-consuming problems with a simple process like installing the software. I'm feeling a bit hostile about this but it is a time-consuming, frustrating process.

You cannot access the files on you pc, it needs to be available on the web server or in a database table(blob)

Help please. I downloaded an Adobe update but cant find it to install?

Sorry but I don't know where to find my downloads to install. Adobe wanted to update and I downloaded it but can't find it to install. I found some download files but none say Adobe. Also they used to be in the doc but now they are gone.
I have a Macbook Pro with Lion. MacBook is late 2008.

If you're like me, you occasionally change the directory to which things are downloaded. If you used Safari, open the Preferences pane within Safari by clicking Safari...Preferences from the menu.
On the General tab, there is a setting for "Save Downloaded file to:"
Navigate to that directory in Finder.
Sort the files by Date Added.
The newly downloaded file should be near the top of the list.
