Driver z-tek

hi
i have z-tek usb 1.1 (Device convert fast ethernet adapter to usb 1  10/100m) but haven't driver mac yosemite and i can't use it.
please help me to find and download it.
thanks very much

Hi mariee,
Thank you for the update.
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? If you could post them that would be appreciated. I have included a post by AlwaysNeon that explains how to add a picture/screen shot to your post.
If you didn’t run the Print and Scan Doctor did you get any messages while working through the 'Ink System Failure' or a '0x...' or a 'C2...' Error Message Displays on the Front Panel document? If so, at what step did you receive the error message and what did it say?
Out of curiosity, what type of USB cable are you using? I have included a screen shot of a printer style USB cable. Would you please confirm that the USB cable you are using has the different ends as per the picture?
Thank you.

  • Tek TDS3052 driver vi runs into timeout

    Hello,
it's me again with a problem concerning the Tek TDS3052 scope.
I tried to read a measurement from it using the "tkds30xx read measurement.vi" (to be more exact, I wanted to read a voltage average value from Channel 1).
Most of the aquisition parameters were set by hand an the oscilloscope. By software, cursor gating was turned on using the "tkds30xx configure measurement.vi", and the scope was set to "continuous aquisition" using "tkds30xx configure initiate continuous.vi". (I intend to collect this average value for each trigger event received by the oscilloscope).
If I call the "tkds30xx read waveform measurement.vi", the function waits until its predefined timeout (5000 ms) and then returns a timeout error,
although the scope display shows it's being triggered and acquires data (at a rate of 20 Hz). Running the corresponding "tkds30xx fetch waveform measurement" returns the value I want from the last aquisition, but, of course, doesn't wait for a trigger event.
Does someone of you know how to employ the readout function correctly to aquire a value?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best regards
    Kristian Laß

    Hello,
unfortunately the same problem occurs if I try to employ the example application that came with the driver VIs - this produces a timeout as well.
Nevertheless, I tried to employ the trigger configuration VIs in my application - without success. (I didn't consider it necessary at first because I set most of the settings on the oscilloscope's front panel)
I'll post an example of what I worked out for myself along with this posting.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,
This display monitor came with its own Toshiba board. I need a Windows 98 Driver for it as a matter of some urgency.

Is this suitable - or what should I use.

  • ERR Driver Status: (Hex 0xBFFA2003) Max Time exceeded before operation completed. (TEK DPO2014)

    Hi NI.
I'm trying to aquire signals from an Tektronix DPO2014 oscilloscope using Labview SignalExpress.
I have downloaded and installed the appropriate driver (at least I think )) : tkdpo2k using NI download station.
I run an ethernet connection and I do see the device in MAX, however im not quite sure if I have configured the IVI driver sessions correctly.
Anyway, when I open Signal Express, and select "IVI scope aquire" I can select my device under "resource descriptor" and the appropriate driver under "Instrument driver". I then turn on my Oscilloscope, tune in the machines tachogenerator, which is the signal the oscilloscope is to measure, and then select "autosetup" The sinosoidal waweform shows up on the oscilloscope and in SignalExpress, it is only done once. I then try and run the program and the error message accurs:
    Timeout.
<ERR>Driver Status:  (Hex 0xBFFA2003) Max Time exceeded before operation completed.
Is the problem regarding problems with triggertime or write/read problems with the TCP/IP connection?
What can I do to fix this problem?

How are you communicating? GPIB? Are you sure you have the correct address. Can you send an IDN command with MAX? Does MAX see the instrument?

  • Accessing cursor positions on Tek TDS3052 oscilloscope

    Hello,
I'm trying to program a LabVIEW application using a Tektronix TDS3052 digital oscilloscope that I access via GPIB.
I have a got most of it running using the tkds30xx driver library that came with LabVIEW. However, I am missing one function: I need to query the user cursor positions set by the user on the scope. What I'm looking for is pretty much what the "TekTDS read cursors.vi" from the vi lib for the older Tek scopes does. I didn't find its equivalent in the TDS30xx lib, and unfortunately these routines cannot be intermixed.
Does someone know whether that function exists at all and, if yes, how to access it (where is it and what its name?)?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Best regards
    K
    ristian Laß

    Hello,
    For horizontal cursors try:
    CURS:HBA?
The instrument should give a response in this format:
    Horizontal Pos1;Pos2;Delta;Selected Cursor;Units
    For Vertical try these:
    CURS:VBA:HDELT?
    Returns horizontal difference
    CURS:VBA:HPOS? x = 1 or 2
Returns value of vertical bar ticks
    CURS:VBA:UNITS?
    Return measurement units
    CURS:VBA:VDELTA?
Returns value difference between the bars ticks
If you are using the IVI driver, use the write to instrument and read from instrument VIs. If you are using the LabVIEW native one, VISA write and read should do the trick. Hope this helps.

  • How to Install a 2nd SATA drive

    Hi,
I asked this before and got many views to my question but no responses, so I thought I would try one more time.
I have a PM G4 Gigabit ethernet and have two ATA drives installed and one SATA drive installed via a SATA PCI card.
What I would like to know is how do you or can you install a second SATA drive on top of the one that's already there? There is room for it to fit on top of the one I have installed, but the sled only provides for one to be mounted. The ATA sled is configured for two.
Any way to get a sled that fits where the SATA drives are installed, or how is that done? My PCI card does have an available SATA connector.
Sorry for the seemingly basic question, but I really don't know the answer.
    Thanks,
    Bob

Thnaks for the response David. Well, bot do I feel silly. I now see what I somehow never saw before. there is a space in between the ATA driove slots and the SATA drive slot whicvh is where the 4th drive fits. Well, Duuuhhhh?
I have thought of going with a SATA external drive, thing is there are not many SATA external drives out there, also would need a SATA pci card for that. I see that Firm Tek is just now getting into that so I may wait a while. Its' a 160GB SATA drive so it would be a nice addition to backups, testing drives etc.
    So what part of Georgia?

    Hi there @Teka,
I understand that you are having trouble with a System Recovery to a factory image using recovery disks. I am happy to help you with this.
Are those five disks a set that you created using the recovery manager, or is it a set you ordered from HP?
Is there any sign of damage, scratches or smudges on the disk it fails on?
Have you tried cleaning the DVD drive?

  • How do I control the TEK TDS3052 by LABVIEW installed in a PC?

I used the "crossover" cable directly connect the PC and the TEK TDS3052(with a ethernet port). What I have done is that I configured the ethernet parameters( the IP adress, the net mask etc.). And when I apply the "Ping" command in the "run" window of the windows 98, there is a correct return. So the ethernet network is well done. Now I want to use the LABVIEW to control the oscilloscope. But I don't know then.Who can tell me the detail steps which I can take next, thanks a lot.

    Kevin,
Which version of LabVIEW do you have?
There are two ways of controlling your oscilloscope from LabVIEW, one is using the VISA functions (instrument i/o palette in LabVIEW)and another one is using an already built instrument driver, which you can download by going to zone.ni.com, and then click on "resource library" at your left... then click in "instrument drivers", and then in "downloads" and then type in the "additional keywords" box type "tds 3052" and click SEEK... you will find a link for your instrument there... you can download that instrument driver and it fully functional with LabVIEW, now... the truth is that I have always used this drivers with a GPIB interface in the computer, in this case is only going to be by TCP/IP... so you can try to adapt the addresses instead of using an instrument type address, use the TCP/IP instrument type address and give it a try to see if it works. The address type for TCP/IP is stated below.
First you need to have the latest version of NI-VISA installed, 2.5.2, which is shipped with LabVIEW 6i (version 2.5.0 and then download a patch for 2.5.2).
Our solution for controlling instruments with Ethernet ports is NI-VISA.There are two possible situations:
    1) Instrument supports the VXI-11 protocol.
The VXI-11 protocol was created to control instruments over Ethernet using the GPIB style. It has nothing to do with VXI, but it was there were it got approved.
NI-VISA supports VXI-11 instruments, to the point that the only change in the instrument driver written with VISA is the identification string. Instead of using GPIB::1::INSTR, you can use TCPIP::ip address::instrument name::INSTR. (For example, with the Tek TDS 3054, the string would be: TCPIP::130.130.130.1::gpib0,1::INSTR). (Note that 'gpib0,1' has nothing to do GPIB..its just a name given to the instrument..it could have been just 'tds3054' also if the instrument vendor chose to do so).
    2) Instrument DOES NOT support the VXI-11 protocol.
In this case, you can still use NI-VISA to talk to the instrument using the NI-VISA Ethernet Sockets functions. However, you would have to take care of the specifics of the protocol used for the instrument. The instrument manufacturer should provide you with the details on how to control the instrument (commands, parsing, etc.).
    *** Tek's Scopes ***
Tek introduced an ethernet interface for some of their scopes. We have a TDS3054 scope from Tek that is VXI-11 compliant. Since the TDS3054 is VXI-11 compliant, we used it at NIWeek to show how you could control it using the same code written for the instrument with the GPIB interface, by just changing the identification string.
    NI-VISA 2.5.2
NI-VISA 2.5.0 introduced the support for instruments with Ethernet ports. Notice that LabVIEW 6i ships with the older 2.5.0 version. The patch to upgrade it to 2.5.2 is called NiViEnet.dll and is located in the ftp site at:
    ftp://ftp.natinst.com/support/visa/drivers/win32/2.5/patch/
So you can try this Kevin and see if it works for you, contact us back (www.ni.com/ask) if you need further assistance.

  • Accessing digital inputs from signal express (TEK MSO2024)

    Hi,
i'm trying to access the digital inputs of an TEK MSO2024 from signal express, but no luck.
    I'm using SignalExpress2011, tkpdo2 ivi driver.
Seems like this driver doesn't support digital input, anyone got a solution or another driver?

    Hello,
The best to way drive digital outputs while acquiring analog inputs is to create two steps in Signal Express. Each step will execute relatively at the same time but there is no way to correlate or synchronize DIO with AI on a 6008 because DIO on that device is software timed while AI is hardware timed. Below is the 'Getting Started with Signal Express' manual which can aid in creating an AI and DIO step. Also, if you need additional examples later, they are located in the Help->Open Examples.

  • IVI driver not working with my DPO4054B scope

So I got two new DPO4054B scopes.  I have tried both IVI drivers from Tektronix and NI's websites.  They are:
    NI -> tkdpo4k_setup.exe
    Tektronixs ->Tkdpo2k3k4kIVIDriver1.3.exe
Both have issue.  I started with the textronixs one and the issue it has is the "IVIscope configure edge trigger source" function is not working.  It doesn't return any errors, just doesn't do anything.  I have called the configure type and input type as it requires prior, setting it to "edge trigger" and "DC".  There are some other oddities with this driver, but in all it seems to work.  I did note that in NI MAX there is an initialization string to declare the model.  I have tried DPO4054 and DPO4054B, niether seems to have any affect.  Even the default DPO2023 works the same.
The NI driver works perfectly when it initializes.  Unfortunately, 90% of the time, it times out on the initialize function.  I do not understand what I could be doing wrong as the only real input to this is the logical name which I know is correct.
Any thoughts?  I have NI VISA 5.4 and IPC4.6 installed.  Running Labview 2013.  I noted there is a version 14???? of both now available.  Was thinking of trying those.

The initialize function has logical name, and whether to query and reset the device.  I currently have these set to no, but have tried yes as well with no affect.  I am not familar with the IO trace feature.  I will look into that.  Not sure I understand the question about class specific.  If I am using the IVI drivers, I don't want to use the class specific, that would defeat the point.  I am only using the IVIscope functions so I can swap in different scopes.
The hardware is the computer has a USB to GPIB adapter.  The DPO4054B has the TEK-USB-488 adapter so it all works via GPIB.
