Edge-Origin getting b/w problem
How to get the current up/down b/w and latency in case of edge-origin architecture when client connected to edge server ?

With latency and user current up data, we have developed logic to manage the bitrate for publishers and control the user latency. Logic works absolutely fine with origin but when use edge-origin everything changed because users connected to edge will not get exact up/down b/w and even latency some time.
User connected to Edge server, when received a stream, the data which he/she received showed in users current UP b/w. e.g. current Down b/w showed in current UP b/w and interestingly at same when user published on Edge current UP b/w is added to that b/w.

Did you migrate over the data from your old computer? If so, there's probably something you brought over that knows it's not on the same hardware as before. In that case you need to run this:

and then go around and manually remove all the bits and bobs, not just from applications but also from hard drive>library>application support>adobe and from your username>library>preferences. Spotlight will not help you. You have to go looking on your own.

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

I'm reading Adobe docs and there is no world life
configuration examples. This is annoying as they say what is
possible but don't say how to do that.
My problem is that I have 1 FMS configured as local (origin
according to docs) and second one remote (egde). They don't see
each other and I can't find anything like origin IP address entry
in any config files so edge will know who to talk to.
Maybe they have to be in the same network and will detect
each other?
Nothing is clear in documentation.Setup one as 'local' and one as 'remote' then make the rtmp
connection like this:

This is an explicit edge, I'm not sure if you can do implicit
edge-origin if they're not on the same network. -
After I get on a website or open an e-mail, as I move my mouse to click on something the page slides up under the task bar and I have to click on the edge to get it back very annoying. Does anybody know how to get rid of this problem. I just started happening recently. Had my Mac for over two years.

Steps to troubleshoot and get past common problems with Audition
When you encounter a problem with Audition, the following steps are often useful for getting past the problem and/or determining the cause of the problem:
1. Hold down SHIFT while you launch Audition
This overrides the preference files and launches Audition using the default settings.
2. Manually rename or delete the preferences folder
Step 1 only overrides certain preference files, while others such as Workspace preference files, may be the cause of the problem. Depending on your OS, locate the "5.0" folder in the location below and rename it or delete it.
Windows XP: C:\Document and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Adobe\Audition\5.0\
Windows Vista/7: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\5.0\ *
Mac OS X: ~\Library\Preferences\Adobe\Audition\5.0\ **
* "AppData" may be a hidden folder. You can type it into the location bar, or enable "Show Hidden Files" in Windows.
** This is your user-level Library folder, not the system-level tree.
3. Check your Audition Log.txt file
To enable a log file with CS 5.5, you must create an empty file in your preferences folder called "Audition Log.txt" using notepad, text edit, or any other editor. After you create this file, launch Audition and if it fails, open and/or share the log file for more specific information about what's happening.
4. Check the Operating System console or error log
Both OS X and Windows can track application errors, and if the problem is occurring outside of the application code - a driver conflict, for example - then the OS error report may be more informative than what we can get from the application.
OS X: launch /Applications/Utilities/Console.app Clear the view, then launch Audition and note any error messages that appear.
Windows: launch Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application then launch Audition and note any error messages that appear.
5. Re-install Audition
If at this point, nothing has resolved the issue or the error logs are inconclusive, it's a good time to uninstall Audition, reboot, and reinstall Audition.
6. Obtain the full crash dump and send it to the Adobe team
So you've walked through all the above steps, you've disconnected any external hardware interfaces to rule out any device or driver conflicts, and you've exhausted the basic troubleshooting steps. Visit http://forums.adobe.com/thread/900619 and follow the steps for your OS that Charles has documented to best obtain a full crash memory dump for Audition, and send that to [email protected] with a description of the problem and the steps you've taken, and we'll take a look.Firstly yes these are common problems and secondly hopefully they will be fixed with updated software 2.1 which is due for release this coming Firday!

I've been trying to report a problkem with a purchase and every time I click on "report a problem" a new window opens but not the "Problem Menu" window.
This is incredibl;y irritating since you just can't contact anybody by phone and no emails have been answered. The level of frustration is so bad I almost want to smash my IPhone IPad and my MacBook. Nearly ready to go back to Windows based devices. Does anyone know how to get to the "Problem Menu"?We are so frustrated with not being able to talk to someone or even resolve the Itunes problem over their own resolution center that we refuse to buy another Apple product.I going to go back to Windows. When ever I had a problem with a windows application it was easily resolved every single time. My husband's blood pressure went up so high trying to get to the "Report Problem" window that I had to hide the laptop from him for fear he was going to have a heart attack. We spent countless hours over many days trying to get our money back from Itunes and not even one email from any of the dozens of responses we would have already received from Microsoft.
Up until our unresolved problem, we were very happy with Apple's equipment performance but their support *****. Sorry about the language but I'm extremely angry and don't know what else to do. -
Itunes won't open get an immediate problem window please help
I just recently did a complete system restore and have since got everything back together. I just tried last night to re-install intunes first with the start up disc and then through the itunes site. After both times downloading the program with no problems I went to start itunes and get an immediate problem screen. The problem only states "itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry the inconvenience" with no explantion or way to correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

LawrenceI have been having the same problem lately. I have not found a solution yet. I've tried repairing the disk, reparing permissions, using a different user, reinstalling itunes, trashing the .plist, but nothing has worked. After iTunes is launched it immediately becomes unresponsive and will not Force Quit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Trying to use Adobe Edge to get faded header images on my website. Was referred to Adobe Edge because it is supposed to be easy for beginners. I was able to upload my images, but then there was no instruction/direction on what to do next. Everything I clicked just brought me somewhere else. I'm a novice who needs help with coding, as everytime I tried adding coding to my page, it messed it up. I would appreciate if someone can tell me what to do after I upload the images.

Connect the iPod to your syncing computer and restore it via iTunes. However, if iTunes asks for the unknown passcode you need to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod from backup. For recovey mode see:

Hi - for any photo, info in mountain lion shows a different file size than Photoshop does. I've tested with both CS3 and CS6 on 10.8.2 and get the same problem. This doesn't happen with CS3 and OSX10.4 or any previous versions of Photoshop and OSX. Anyone know why?
this one is actually a really rare symptom of a flaky connection to the ipod on a Windows PC. there's more going on in terms of hardware on nanos and 5th gens than in the earlier models ... so if the connection is flaky to precisely the right/wrong degree, itunes will see the ipod, but misidentify it as an earlier version of ipod.
tracking down the cause of the flakiness can be tricky ... as you already know ...
just checking. have you tried connecting with a different (known-good) USB cable? does that seem to have any impact on the rate of occurence of the problem? -
Anyone get a huge "Problem Report for iDVD" with hundreds of lines of information?
Anyone get a huge "Problem Report for iDVD" with hundreds of lines of information? This happens right before the DVD would be finished burning but instead crashes and leaves the long report your have to scroll down several times to read. I had to take several screen captures of the screen to get the WHOLE report. Here is two:
(If there is another thread on this - just answer the question or refer me to it. I'm past due on a big project. Don't have time to read all 21,000 discussions in the iDVD thread. Be kind. Thanks )Some things to try first:
1. Disconnect any and all 3rd party devices that didn't ship with your mac directly from apple (both FW and USB included).
2. Restart your mac without any 3rd party devices attached whatsoever. That includes ext. hard drives, blue tooth devices, and any third party memory product/s. Basically, anything that doesn't come directly from apple has to go (at least while troubleshooting).
3. Need you to dispose of the plist for iDvd also. Go to you Home folder, the one that looks like a house > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iDvd.plist and drag and drop this file/s to the trash. Make sure to first quit iDvd prior to disposing of this pref. file/s.
4. Run apple's disc utility and repair permissions. Applicantions > Utilities > Disc Utility > Repair Permissions.
5. Restart your mac yet again, and try iDvd one more time.
6. If it's still at issue then please open iDvd from a separate user account and try your project one more time. If you don't know how to create a separate user account then just come on back and one of will show you how.

Haven't heard back from them. Took it the adapter to the Apple Store with one of the mics and the Blue Shirts said it was the proper adapter.
