Elements 11 does not completely close down in Windows

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.
I have the Trial version of Elements 11 running and will be buying it at end of the trial.
However, when I close out of the program, there are pieces of it still running in the background. When I start up task manager and go into processes, I see parts of elements 11 still running in the background.
Normally, I wouldn't worry about it but when I go back in and try to launch the program again, it hangs up. I either have to restart my computer or go into task manager and try to close the Photoshop Elements processes.
Any ideas?

Please stop the following processes from task manager, if running-
photoshopelementsorganizer.exe
photoshopelementseditor.exe
elementsautoanalyzer.exe
dynamiclinkmanager.exe
photoshop file agent
photoshop server
Now launch Organizer directly from its exe in C:\program files or program files(x86)\adobe\elements organizer 11.0\photoshopelementsorganizer.exe by right clicking on it >> run as admin.
1. Once Organizer launches, you can turn off the background processes from Edit >> Pref >> Media analysis.
2. Also, if you don't use Watch Folders, you can remove any watched folder from File >> Watch Folder.

AFX 2014.1.1 does not completly close

When I try to close AFX, it is still showing 2 instances of AFX and quicktime still open in Task Manager. I have to manualy close them to be able to reopen AFX. This sometimes happens with Premiere also. The programs will not reopen until I either do this or reboot.

Firefox does not completely shut down when X'd out, I have to do a restart to completly close the program, is this common?

I just upgraded from 5.0 to 6.0 and the upgrade program told me that Firefox had to be closed before the new version could be installed. I had already X'ed out Firefox knowing that it needed to be closed before I could do an install. I finally had to do a restart before I could install the new version. This has happened in the past with other versions of Firefox. Firefox keeps running in the back ground for some reason and ends up using resources that are needed else where. In the past I have deleted Firefox from my computer to solve the problem, can you solve the problem or should I delete the program and use another browser?

Must be the "hang at exit" problem. You already know how to do Step1; now just determine which Add-on (Extension or Plugin) is causing the problem.

WDA Human Task does not complete/close

Hi experts,
I'm still struggling to flex web dynpro abap and BPM together.
After embedding a wda chip as human task within my process, I face the next problem: The event defined as outport in my wda chip does not close the task when fired from my wda component controller. The page isn't affected by the event at all, the task is not completed. I debugged the wda method and found it throwing the event as expected.
Since the wda page is opened as expected and shows the data mapped via Input Mapping I think the chip and system landscape definition (done via the portal system administration) are correct.
Any clues on this? What am I missing?

thanks for your answer!
I created the event (wih one parameter) in the WDA componnt controller and the component interface and made sure it is thrown correctly (I checked it via debugger).
In the Chip I created an Outbound port (again with the parameter) and tagged it as CHIP_CONTRACT:PROCESS_STEP_END_POINT.
On the consuming side I did nothing special with the outbound event but mapping it's output to my process context.

Elements 11 does not allow me to use Windows Mail to send photos

I used to use element 7 to send photos to my friends, and the program understood that my default server was Windows Mail. I bought a new camera (Nikon D800) which has very large file sizes and Elements 7 could not handle these large files and I was advised by Adobe to buy Elements 11 and this program could handle these large files. The unfortunate thing is that when I tried to send photos to friends, it would not allow me to access my Windows Mail server and only showed Microsoft Outlook or Adobe Mail to choose from. I don't use either of these servers for my e-mails, but now I have this programs that does handle the photos from my new camera and allows me to organize and adjust my photos, but I can't send them to my friends with this program as it does not recognize Windows Mail as my default. how can I fix this!

Installation of Premiere Elements 12 does not complete

I received Premiere Elements for Christmas and have spent a few sessions trying to install it on my Windows PC. All of the files are loaded into program files and the installation is completed, but when I go to run the actual program, it cannot start and I get the error code "0xc000007b" and it immediately closes.
I have installed, un-installed, re-started my computer, installed into both regular program files and program files x86, shut down computer, turned off firewall, deleted temp files, and a few other things.
At this point I am ready to return the product as this has been a lot of wasted time and effort.

Premiere Pro 1.5 does not complete DVD burn

I always turn off all other applications including virus software, disconnect from the internet, and set the laptop power to max performance which does not let the laptop go to sleep and so on.
So far I have only used it to create DVDs from clips uploaded from Mini DV tape recorded on a Sony HC-96 camcorder. The only problem I have encountered is that the burn to disc does not complete. There are no errors or other messages when this happens. The burned disc will play on the Sony laptop in media player, but not play on any other PC or DVD player.
If I then make a “copy” of the disc to a blank DVD+R disc, the copy of the DVD plays fine on other PCs and DVD players. It seems that the original disc created does not close properly.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to solve this?

Elements 9 does not accept or process RAW photo images taken with a Nikon D7000.

Adobe elements 9 does not accept or process RAW photo images taken with a Nikon D7000. I called support for a download patch and they said I had to purchase a support package or essentially purchase Elements 10. I can't believe that Adobe would not have a download patch for this problem as my elements 9 is not very old. When I try to do the updates Adobe says the serial number of the elements 9 is not accepted for download or support even though I purchased it and registered it with Adobe.
Is there any solution to this?

Thank you but still having a problem. I go to the edit menu>>help>>update>>check for updates and an update to 9.03 comes up as the only update, no camera raw update. It starts to download and then stops and says to close organizer and/or editor then starts back up and stops again saying "error installing this update. Close and contact customer support". When I called customer support earlier that's when they said they don't support 9 only v. 10 and did I want to buy support or a new program v10 to get camera raw processing for the Nikon D7000 RAW. Apparently I'm doing something wrong in the update procedure but don't know what. The camera raw version is 6.5 in my elements and understand that camera raw v. 6.7 is the update to process the images. Any ideas? If I uninstall and reinstall does the serial number still work on the reinstall?

Actually, this camcorder is an AVCHD cam, so it would attach via USB. Then the camcorder must be set to playback/USB mode.
You would then use Add Media/From Flip or Camera to open the Video Importer and set the Source drop-down to your camcorder.
Is this what you've done? Please be specific about the steps you're taking.

Ff 33 does not fully shut down

My FF v 33.0 stays open in processes under task manager.
All my other browsers do fully shut down.
I have reloaded FF on my virus/malware free computer but FF will not completely shut down.
Very annoying.

Try opening in [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|Firefox Safe Mode]] and see if the browser closes properly after opening in that. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes). Since Firefox has trouble closing, make sure that it is not running in your Task Manager before opening in Safe Mode.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:

What have you done so far to try to fix it? I've tried rebooting several times and it did not work. Tried connecting to iTines but it does not recognize the iPhone.
My other iPhone 4s restarted successfully after the updgrade but some apps don't function properly. It automatically closes while in use.

Any help that you can provide in helping my iPhone accurately sync with iPhoto and iTunes will be greatly appreciated.
Symptoms:
1)   Sync: It’s not completing the sync. Below, I’ve provided all of my settings from the iTunes Summary tab so that you might tell me if I’ve selected any incorrect options. I prefer to sync the “old school” way – by connecting to the computer – as opposed to syncing over the cloud. Perhaps this is what’s causing the problem? Here is a list of the steps displayed in the iTunes window as the sync progresses:

backing up (step 2 of 7)
preparing to sync (step 3 of 7)
determining apps to sync (step 4 of 7)
preparing apps to sync (step 5 of 7)

2)   Photos: I've selected only certain of my iPhoto albums to sync to my iPhone. All of the albums are correct/complete in iPhoto. All of the albums are listed on my iPhone, both before and after the sync, but the albums are empty (no actual photos) before and after the sync. Perhaps this is tied to the fact that the sync isn’t completing, but because “importing photos” is one of the steps that the incomplete sync displays, I don’t know.
3)   Apps: When I launch iTunes and click on the Apps folder under the Library listing, then click on the Updates tab, iTunes searches for any Apps needing to be updated and provides a list. If I click on Update All, the Apps are successfully updated in iTunes. But, when I plug in my iPhone so that the updates will transfer to the apps on my iPhone, the updates don’t transfer to the apps on my iPhone and those apps still reflect that they need updating on the iPhone.
Other Potential Pertinent Info:
The flash memory hard drive on my MacBook Air recently died (perhaps a month or two ago). Apple had emailed me about a known issue and literally the next day, my MacBook Air crashed. I installed a new flash memory drive and re-installed everything from a backup off of an external hard drive. Everything seems to be working fine; it recreated accurately all of my software and data, including iPhoto and iTunes, the pictures and songs (respectively) for which are stored on that hard drive, as opposed to being on the flash memory in the MacBook Air itself. However, I don’t recall if the start of the sync problem described herein started happening at the same time that I replaced the flash memory drive. All I know is that the computer is working perfectly in all respects and that even as the sync is failing, it at least says that it’s doing the right things and looking in the right places (e.g., the list of albums on my iPhone matches the list of albums in iTunes, etc.).

You need to download iTunes on your computer. iOS 6 requires the latest version of iTunes which is 10.7.

When I click on a picture, Photoshop Elements 12 does not automatically open.

When I click on a picture, Photoshop Elements 12 does not automatically open (as it did when I used previous versions Photoshop Elements 4 and 9). I can't even right-click (Windows) on the picture and choose Open With and specifiy Photoshop Elements 12. I have called Adobe several times (Case No. 185140584) and they keep saying it has been sent up to senior management and they will call me back with a solution - but to no avail! No return calls and I still can't really use the Product I paid for and downloaded. The only way I can open up a picture to edit it is to open Photoshop Elements 12 and then then click "Open" and then search for the picture on my hard drive (which takes a lot more time! I did not experience this difficulty at all with versions 4 or 9!

You failed to say which Windows system you have - I can get the "Open With" to work on my Windows 7 64bit system.
When you try to set up the "Open With", are you setting the correct target program?
It's the green one (not the red one) in the above image.
Once you have selected that program, make sure you set it as default so that a double click will open the photo in the editor.
