  • ERP/CRM/HRM in a Java system

For medium-sized organizations that are finding a need to progress towards an 'entry-level' ERP/CRM/HRM solution, where does this solution fit into the different types of technologies?
For example, in a particular enterprise application assume there is an application server that acts as the middleware between web browsers and Java clients, as well as the back-end EJBs, database, etc.
Where would the ERP/CRM/HRM solution fit into this? Would it basically be implemented as EJBs, a database, or are they considered a back-end program?
I've been looking at Compiere, and all I can really tell from its API is that it's a huge bunch of Java classes...but where do they fit into the whole scheme of things, and what parts of your current system would have to connect with it? (e.g. would you access the ERP classes from the servlet, from EJBs, etc...)
I'm just having a really hard time conceptualizing this...
    Thanks.

    Hello,
the magic regarding connection strings is described in chapter 9.1 of the manual coming with the installation of SAP GUI for Java. There is also a <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/click.jspa?searchID=2057281&messageID=3087436">thread</a> availabe discussing this.

  • Can a report in ERP called from CRM system using RFCs??

    Hi All,
Please let me know if this is possible, if so , how?
Can a report in ERP called from CRM system using RFCs??
    Thanks
    Siva

Yes, you should make an RFC function in ERP and inside the
function you can call the report with a SUBMIT. Then in CRM you can call the RFC function...

  • Steps to connect a CRM system with MDM

    Hi everybody,
I've got a problem here : I should build a connection between a CRM system and MDM (get the data in several tables in the CRM system, normalize them in MDM and then put them back in the CRM).
What would the steps I've got to do to achieve that ? Do I need XI between the two systems ? Do I have to map the tables before sending them in MDM (and how could I do that ?)
Thank you for all the help you can give me

    Hi
The Universal Worklist (UWL) iView is part of the KMC (Knowledge Management and Collaboration), capability of SAP NetWeaver. The integration of the SAP NetWeaver MDM workflow with UWL will be provided with SP04. This will provide the ability to expose SAP NetWeaver MDM workflow steps in the SAP Universal Work List (UWL). These jobs may run from the BPM process or can be launched inform within SAP NetWeaver MDM. UWL is defined as the main consolidated ”Inbox“ for SAP users, being the main location to monitor jobs directly activated in SAP NetWeaver MDM, or connected to a process that integrates with SAP NetWeaver MDM.
Using the SAP NetWeaver Portal UI, show a summarized list of all workflow (WF) jobs/tasks from all systems of SAP NetWeaver MDM Landscape per user - one single UI for all my tasks. The UWL is already integrated with other major SAP products, like R/3, SAP CRM, mySAP ERP, etc.

First of all, you must set a RFC connectivity between CRM and backend system:
o     Create system users for remote connection (RFC_CONN). This user must have SAP_ALL authorization.
o     Create RFC connections in CRM system.
Go to transaction SM59 on CRM side and click on 'create' button. Set RFC destination name to the back-end system <sid>CLNT<client> (eg. R3DCLNT200), connection type to 3 (abap / R/3 connection) and fill the target host to your back-end system. On the Logon/Security tab, add the RFC_CONN user created in the previous step. Save your settings.
o     Create RFC connections in the back-end system.
Go to transaction SM59 on the back end and click on 'create' button. Set the RFC destination name to CRM system <sid>CLNT<client> (eg. CR1CLNT300), connection type to 3 (abap / R/3 connection) and fill in the target host to your back-end system. On the Logon/Security tab, add the RFC_CONN user created in the previous step. Save your settings.
o     Create a logical system name in CRM.
Go to transaction SPRO -> SAP Implementation Guide -> Customer Relationship Management -> CRMServer -> Technical Basic Settings -> ALE Settings -> Distribution -> Basic Settings -> Logical Systems -> Define Logical System Add a new value:
    Save your settngs.
o     Create a logical system name in the back end.
Go to transaction SPRO -> SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SAP Web Application Server -> Application Ling Enabling -> Sending and Receiving Systems -> Logical Systems -> Define Logical System Add a new value:
    Save your settngs.
    2.
    3.     Middleware parameters setup Go to transaction SM30 on backend system and choose table CRMCONSUM. Add the following values:
    4.     Next, choose CRMSUBTAB for subscription table for the Up and Download Object and add the following values
User     ObjectName     U/D     Obj. Class     Function     Obj. Type     Funct. Name
CRM     empty     Download     Material     empty     empty     CRS_MATERIAL_EXTRACT
CRM     empty     Download     Material     empty     empty     CRS_CUSTOMIZING_EXTRACT
CRM     empty     Download     Material     empty     empty     CRS_SERVICE_EXTRACT
Next, choose CRMRFCPAR for definitions of RFC Connections and add the following values
User     ObjectName     Destination     Load Type     INFO     InQueue Flag     Send XML
    CRM     *     SR1CLNT300     Initial Download     SR1CLNT300     X     Send XML
    CRM     *     SR1CLNT300     Request     SR1CLNT300     X     Send XML
CRM     MATERIAL     SR1CLNT300     Initial Download     SR1CLNT300     X     Send XML
    Leave all other field empty.
Now, configure filtering for the material master:
Choose the CRMPAROLTP table for CRM OLTP Parameters and add the following values:
Parameter name     Param. Name 2     Param. Name 3     User     Param. Value     Param. Value 2
CRM_FILTERING_ACTIVE     MATERIAL     empty     CRM     X     empty
Now we must edit the table for the application indicator. Go to transaction SE16N on the back-end side and choose table TBE11. Search or add an application component BC-MID and edit activity settings (field AKTIV = X).
    Save your settings.
    8.     Enterprise buyer with/without CRM In this activity, you define whether you are running the Enterprise Buyer and CRM in the same system. This might accelerate the Master Data download performance. If you are using CRM in the client, then skip this activity.
In the CRM system run transaction BBP_PRODUCT_SETTINGS, deselect 'Test mode' and choose the Execute button.
The system generates a report containing all tables that have been deactivated.
    9.     Generate repository objects With this procedure, you generate the middleware function modules (BDoc Object Type) for the material master.
Go to transaction SMOGGEN and choose object PRODUCT_MAT and PRODUCT_SRV. Generate services for all object categories.
Please let me know your email id, i shall send you this document

You can maintain two different address for the business agreements (can be treated as mailing address for the printed invoice)but you can not maintain more than one standard address for BP as any given time.

  • Data transfer from one crm system (Prod) to another crm system ( quality)

    Hi,
I have a requirement in which i have to transfer a set of data ( BP, Product, Sales Order etc) for a given date range from production system to Quality system. I am more concerned abt the Business documents which move from CRM to ERP.
I thought of moving those outbond bdocs which are generated in crm system for the passing the data into ERP from Prod to Qty sytem and  try to reprocess them as an inbound bdocs in Qty through some program. But i came to know that bdocs will not contain the full data of the business documents which gets created in CRM system. So if i reprocess those bdocs also i will not get the full data of those businesss documents.
Any other alternative is there ?
    Regards,
    M Khan

    Hi,
In the all the data transfer between SAP systems RFC is the best option.
Just create a source system for the new BW system and it will work.
    Thanks

  • Sales Document Creation in CRM System

    Dear all,
We are implementing CRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0 (IS-Retail) for our client. As per the Business Process Customer creation take's place in CRM, which uploads Customer Records into ECC system.
Material Master (Article), Pricing Procedure and Condition Types are being maintained in ECC system only.
Now the new requirement is to create Quotations in CRM system, in turn it has to upload into ECC system. We have to enable or maintain all article data, Pricing Data and Discounts in CRM system also.
I don't know how could we exchange the Article Master Records (Material), Pricing Procedures and condition types between ECC system.
I have expertise in CRM Marketing. by getting basic understanding of CRM and ECC data flow landscape, Middleware Settings and Object downloads, I have confidence to map the requirement into SAP successfully.
I request you to educate me on this scenario, your help and suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Raghu ram.

    Hi,
i'm not quite sure about ECC retail, but for sure, as per CRM 5.0 and ECC 6, depending on your scenario, you may not need whole complete set of pricing, nor the condition tables to be maintained in CRM.
you can use minimum pricing which is basic condition type PR00. once the quotation is saved in CRM, during the replication process, the pricing will be determined in the ERP and passed back to CRM. so when you look into CRM quotation document, you will be able to find all the condition types maintained in CRM.
however, this scenario is not suitable if you require customer to review the pricing before saving the quotation, let say internet sales / e-commerce. then in that case you'll probably need to have complete set of pricing in CRM.
    hope this helps.

  • Connecting multiple CRM systems to one backend R/3 and vice versa

    Hello experts
Can you tell me whether it is advisable to connect 2 CRM systems to a single backend R/3 and vice versa? Is it recommended by SAP? I require some notes or docs on this. I got some notes on this forum but they are all Internal ones which I am unable to see.
    Please help!
    Warm Regards
    Debolina

    Hi,
Though SAP does not recommend connecting multiple systems to one ECC backend. But still it has designed a procedure to achieve this.
Here is the excerpts of the steps required.
    1. Execute report MCRM_SETTINGS for each CRM system connected to the ERP
    system.
    2. Check the entries of the table CRMRFCPAR of the connected ERP system:
The field REM_LOGSYS should be filled for every entry marked with
    u2018Created by the MCRM reportu2019.
    3. Activate the corresponding consumers in the table CRMCONSUM
    (transaction SM30).
    4. Internal and external number ranges for Business Partners have to be aligned
    manually.
    Hope it helps you!!!!
    Good Luck.

  • B2B Webshop - Login not recorded in CRM system

    Hi,
We are using CRM E Commerce with ERP Sales Order.  This is the latest offering from SAP and has come only from CRM 7.0 onwards. In this solution u201CERP sales orderu201D is embedded into the CRM Web Channel Web shops for order creation.
When use our ERP logon to get in to the B2B webshop.  The problem we have right now is the login only goes to ERP backend while not in CRM.  We check the ERP last logon date & time in SE16->USR02 table and it's correct while for CRM USR02 table is it not updated.  I just want to know if this is standard that only ERP login is updated knowing that B2B webshop is connecting both in ERP & CRM.
Hoping for someone advise.  Thanks in advance!

    Hi Joe,
In CRM 7.0 with ERP Back end LORD scenario, the logon user is an ECC user always. You will find the relationship between the logon id (T ID) as a contact person and the sold-to party in ECC table - USAPPLREF.
You use CRM system only to maintain your PRODUCT CATALOG, Target Group etc. and make use of them in your SHOPADMIN settings. In this scenario, even you use TRANSACTION TYPE - Z001 directly (without creating it in CRM) in shopadmin.
All these is been controlled through XCM settings where your XCM application is erpcrmstandard and you configure your appplication on erpcrmstandard where your PRIMARY JCO is ECC JCO user.
In this scenario in CRM the user data will not be updated.
    Hope this will help

  • Customers Created in R3 are not replicating in connected CRM System.

    Dear All,
I am facing an issue " Customers created in SAP R3 are not replicating to CRM system".

    Hi ,
    Check following :
SMQ1/2 - Inbound/ Outbound Queues in both ERP and CRM system. You can see if there some "stoppes"queues.
SMW01 - Bdoc messages in CRM - detailed explanation about errors in replication.
Check if "stop data" flag in table  "CRMRFCPAR" in erp systemis is unchecked.
Check your filter definitions in R3AC1 trn business object "customer_main" .
Also check SAP Note 429423 - you have detailed check list for middelware problems.

  • Pilot CRM system...

We're putting together a Pilot for a SAP CRM system covering support services and marketing. However, the client currently does not have SAP in place and therefore will be starting with just the CRM system with the aim of later adding ERP/R3.
When creating a pilot system what Tasks/assumptions/risks might I expect?. This is something that anyone having created a CRM pilot may have encountered previously I guess.
I know that when implementing CRM one would usually port across a lot of data, like BP's for example, whereas we have no R3 system so we may have to load BP and other data manually, maybe via LSMW or other such loading methods. Has anyone encountered LSMW data loads into CRM before.
Also, we have feeds, like marketing attributes and other such data. Again, how does one normally manage this, is it normally via PI or XI?. The source data will be in XML format, probably.
Any help/advice would be most welcome.

    Jason,
To give you a quick answer do a wide open search in this forum on XIF and LSMW.  You can load almost any type of CRM data via this method and it works great.  This is a very old topic here(we have blogs on it going back to 2005).
Here is an old blog on the XIF adapter back from August 2005:
    /people/stephen.johannes/blog/2005/08/18/external-data-loads-for-crm-40-using-xif-adapter
Yes the above blog is on CRM 4.0 but still applies to the newer releases.
XI/PI is probably over kill, but you could use those if needed.  Once again however you would be using mainly the XIF adapter to take care of your import needs.
    Take care,
    Stephen
