hi ,
here are the details
CURRENT_MONTH is date datatype in PLAYER_MONTHLY_SUMMARY table TO_DATE, as the name implies, converts something TO a DATE . If current_month is already a DATE, you don't need to convert it to a date.
Besides, the 1st argument to TO_DATE is supposed to be a VARCHAR2. Don't use a DATE where a VARCHAR2 is expected.
and date range is from next_run_date where my next_strt_date and next_end_date both are date datatype
instead of this below query
(TO_DATE(PLAYER_MONTHLY_SUMMARY.CURRENT_MONTH, 'DD-MON-YYYY') BETWEEN
TO_DATE('01-MAR-2012', 'DD-MON-YYYY') AND
TO_DATE('31-MAR-2012', 'DD-MON-YYYY')
if i try below one then it worked
PLAYER_MONTHLY_SUMMARY.CURRENT_MONTH BETWEEN
TO_DATE('01-MAR-2012', 'DD-MON-YYYY') AND
TO_DATE('31-MAR-2012', 'DD-MON-YYYY')
is this approach is rightYes, that's comparing a DATE (current_month) to other DATEs (the results of TO_DATE).
Remember that all DATEs in Oracle include hours, minutes and seconds. If the hours, minutes and seconds of current_month are always 00:00:00 (for example, if current_month is always populated with TRUNC (some_date, 'MONTH')) then the comparison above is okay. But if current_month can be something like 6:52;31 on March 31, 2012, then it will fail the condition, becuase the upper end of the range is
TO_DATE('31-MAR-2012', 'DD-MON-YYYY') which is 00:00:00 on March 31, 2012. To include current_month that is any time of day on March 31, you'd have to do something slightly diferent, such as
PLAYER_MONTHLY_SUMMARY.CURRENT_MONTH  BETWEEN TO_DATE ( '01-MAR-2012'     -- Default time, 00:00:00, is okay here
                                                , 'DD-MON-YYYY'
                          AND     TO_DATE ( '31-MAR-2012 23:59:59'
                                                , 'DD-MON-YYYY hh24:mi:ss'
                                    ) or
     PLAYER_MONTHLY_SUMMARY.CURRENT_MONTH  >= TO_DATE ( '01-MAR-2012', 'DD-MON-YYYY')
AND  PLAYER_MONTHLY_SUMMARY.CURRENT_MONTH  <  TO_DATE ( '31-MAR-2012', 'DD-MON-YYYY') + 1

    Hi All,
We are using SAP MI 7.0 SP18 Server and Client
    xMAM 3.0 SR06
Now when we create a Notification using the link  Notification Management of type PV and SAVE.
When Synchronized, it is completed but backend no notification is trigerring and when checked in Error Logs
the following message is shown Error during date calculation: Time entered not numerical
    Kindly Suggest
    Regards,
    Kiran Joshua

    Hi All,
I got to know how to edit the entries from merep_mon : Thanks to Chinna.
But unfortunately that did not solve my problem
I had to debug the function module of the respective SyncBO and found that the Profile type was not maintained in the backend.
Infact the error "Error during date calculation: Time entered not numerical" was misleading.
Anyways upon customising the Profile for the PJ and PV type Notifications that solved my issue.

    HI,
1.No IDocs could be sent to the SAP BW using RFC.
2.IDocs were found in the ALE inbox for Source System that are not
    Updated. Processing is overdue
5.1st – That it is a PC File Source System.
2nd - That there are Duplicate Data Records leading to error.
7.1st – That it is a PC File Source System.
2nd – For uploading data from the PC File it seems that the file was not kept at the application server & the job was scheduled in Background
8.The background processing was not finished in the source system.
It is possible that the background processing in the source system was terminated.System response .There are incomplete data packets present
9.After looking at all the above error messages we find that if we want to load data with the delta update you must first initialize the delta process.
10.Here we can see that the Activation of ODS has failed as the Request Status in the ODS may not be green.
13.While Fiscal year is mostly the financial year and varies depending upon the Client using which Fiscal year Variant. Client may consider April is the start month of year (financial) .So this can be achieved by defining the fiscal year. One client can have different fiscal year definations with different Fiscal varients. So Fiscal variants differ the starting and ending of fiscal year.
For example in India we follow Fiscal year from April to March. You can have a look at the Fiscal year Variant and the periods in transaction OB29

  • Error during data load due to special characters in source data

    Hi Experts,
We are trying to load Billing data into the BW using the billing item datasource. It seems that there are some special characters in the source data. When the record with these characters is encountered, the request turns red and the package is not loaded even into the PSA. The error we get in the monitor is something like
'RECORD 5028: Contents from field ****  cannot be converted into type CURR',
where the field **** is a key figure of type currency. We managed to identify the said record in RSA3 on the source system and found that one of the fields contains some invalid (special) characters that show up as squares in RSA3. The data in the rest of the fields, including the fields mentioned in the error  looks correct.
Our source system is a non-unicode system wheras the BW system is unicode enabled. I figure that the data in the rest of the fields are getting misaligned due to the presence of the invalid characters in the above field. This was confirmed when we unassigned the field with the special characters from the transfer rules and removed the source field from the transfer structure. After doing this the data was loaded successfully and the request turned green.
Can anyone suggest a way to either filter out such invalid characters from the source data or make some settings in the BW systems such that the special characters are no longer invalid in the BW system? We cannot write code in the transfer rules because the data package does not even come into the PSA. Is there any other method to solve this problem?
    Regards,
    Ted

    Hi Thad,
I was wondering, if system is unicode or non unicode that should not matter the amount and currency field . As currencies are defined by SAP and it is in pure English at least a currency code part of 3 Chars.
Could this because of some incosistency of data ??
I would like to know for Which currency  had some special characters it it in that particular record ??
    Hope that helps.

  • Deployment '2700002' to target 'tar152' encountered a system level deployment error during data transfer.

    Hi All,
I got this error in atg bcc on UI and console as well when i doing full deployment.

So please tell me where is problem happend.
    Thanks in Advance.
    --Kakasaheb.

Are you working with a customer with a support contract?
    Cause
One potential cause is corrupted data in the epub_file_folder table in the versioned schema and examining the table contents is necessary.  This data may be the result of a deployment containing VFS assets that did not complete successfully
The BCC application assumes that the virtual folder structure contained in epub_file_folder is built upon a single root folder.  This folder has the name 'root' and has a NULL parent_folder.  If another folder in this table has a NULL parent_folder, then the application does not know which is the true root folder.  As a result, based purely on chance, the BCC will choose one of them as the root folder of the VersionFileStore (VFS).  Depending on which assets are contained beneath that folder, some file assets may not appear correctly in the BCC UI.  Another symptom is the inability to deploy any project, including a full deployment.
To check for this particular corruption, perform the following SQL query.
    select * from epub_file_folder order by parent_folder;
Putting the table data in a spreadsheet makes it easier to sort the data on various columns for analysis.
If you sort by parent_folder check for data similar to that shown in the following table.  Note that there are two folders whose parent_folder is NULL. Here are the relevant columns from epub_file_folder:
    folder_id
    folder_name
    parent_folder
    asset_version
    is_head
    version_deleted
    version_editable

    Solution
Note:  Exercise caution when directly modifying the versioned database schema.  For assistance identifying this problem and implementing the solution, please open an SR with Oracle Support.
    1. Analyze Versioned Folder Data
How you resolve this corruption will depend on whether or not you need to retain the corrupt folder.  Examine whether the folder has an asset version that is checked in, marked as deleted, or marked as the head version.  If there is no checked-in version with is_head=true, then this indicates the folder may have been part of a failed deployment.
Trace through the hierarchy of folders underneath the corrupt folder.  Determine whether there are any folders or files within that hierarchy that you need to retain.  In some cases, it may be a single folder created unintentionally by a BCC user.  In other cases, there may be more significant folder structure underneath it that is needed by the front-end application.
    2a. Corrupt Folder Not Needed
If you do not need the corrupt folder, set its version_deleted=1.
This will mark the folder as Deleted in the versioned repository.  As far as the BCC is concerned, neither it nor anything under it will exist and will not appear in the BCC UI.  The data will still be retained in the database, though.
2b. Corrupt Folder Needs Correct Parent
If you do need the corrupt folder, determine the true parent folder.  Set its parent_folder to the ID of the actual parent.
See the folder_id column for the correct parent folder and substitute that ID for NULL in BadFolder's parent_folder.
    3. Restart BCC and Re-Test
After modifying the data for the corrupt folder, restart the BCC so that the repository picks up all the changes.

Have you looked in the data error log to see what kind of errors you are getting. The odds are high that you are trying to load data into calculated memebers (or upper level memebers) resulting in errors. It is most likely the former. <BR><BR>you specify the error file with the <BR><BR>on error write to '/XXX.log'; <BR><BR>statement. Have you looked for this file to find why you are getting errors? Do yourself a favor, load the smaller file and look for the error file to see what kind of an error you are getting. It is possible that you error file is larger than your load file, since multiple errors on a single load item may result in a restatement of the entire load line for each error.<BR><BR>This is a starting point for your exploration into the problem. <BR><BR>DATAERRORLIMIT is set at the config file, default at 1000, max at 65000.<BR><BR>NOMSGLOGGINGONDATAERRORLIMIT if set to true, just stops logging and continues the load when the data error limit is reached. I'd advise using this only in atest environement since it doesn't solve the initial problem of data errors.<BR><BR>Probably what you'll have to do is ignore some of the columns in the data load that load into calculated fields. If you have some upper level memebers, you could put them in skip loading condition. <BR><BR>let us know what works for you.

  • Facing TIME OUT error during data load extraction

The program "SAPLSENA" has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime without
interruption and has therefore been terminated.
Can someone help me with the solution please?

    Hi Sai,
IT looks like you are running the program in foreground and execution takes more time than the value specified under profile parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time.
Check whether you can execute the same in background.
If not then increase the value of parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time . Take SAP restart and test again.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error during activation of ODS data

    Hi all,
I am getting error during activation of ODS data.
    Error: Error occur during activation.
How to check , where that error exactly occurs.
    Appreciating any response.

    Hi Santosh,
SM37 is mainly for monitoring the back ground jobs...... both in R/3 side and BW side this is same.. just for monitoring the background jobs... fisrt by using SM36 basis people will schedule in background.. and we just identify.. which are completed and which are not completed... in SM37.
there are various status they are
    PLANNED
    RELEASED
    CANCELLED
    ACTIVE
    FINISHED
    READY
    Check this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c4/3a8016505211d189550000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
In Sm37 u can see the different options for background jobs, like Scheduled, released, ready, active, finished, canceled.. If u want to know the Status of the current running job, U just type the job name, user name then click execute(F8).
    hope this helps
